Night of Terror (dream)

This is based on a dream I had. The city is based on Canton, Ohio and the picture is of a fire station in Canton. It was the closest thing to the fire station in my dream. I will continue writing the rest out when I have sometime.

Chapter 1: The Spark

December, New Berlin, Ohio

It was the worst snowstorm to hit the city of New Berlin. The eastern Ohio city, which had a population of 42,000. Most were anthro animals. There were humans, about 5,000 who lived in the city. I am one of those humans. This city was unique. Unlike other American cities, New Berlin had a mix of German and American architecture. The downtown, save a few of the American skyscrapers, looked like any old German city. There were also four suburbs that surrounded downtown. Amerika Gardens, Neu Hamburg, Cleveland Hill and West Canton. I, Sebastian (that's my name) lived in West Canton. I was the Commander/ Kommandant of New Berlin's Fire Department Station 3 which covered southern New Berlin. The city's fire department had fire engines that were American, with German emergency sirens. Even the police and paramedics had European sirens with American vehicles. Politically wise, inter special marriage was allowed because Ohio was the only state (so far) that legalized it. (Which was good because my first girlfriend was a pitbull from Cleveland.) Now my fire station is in the main highway coming into the city located between both neighborhoods in south New Berlin. My assistant is a German Shepherd named Samantha. That night, we were at the station when, "attention all units, high rise fire Downtown. Units from the main station and station 2, station 3, please remain on standby." It was the dispatcher. She was human. The Chief was human and I was human. "Well Sam," I began to say, "it seems that we are on standby again. Should call in the crew and send them?" I asked. The German Shepherd looked at me with her gorgeous brown eyes and said "okay, if you're sure." The firefighters I called in were all dogs. A Dalmatian, two Labs and a Siberian Husky. I sent them downtown. It was just me and Sam. So I decided to take a drive downtown. We would take the other fire engine. (There were only two at the station the other bays held ambulances) We got into the fire engine and I said "ready, Samantha?" She nodded. The bay door rolled open as I prepared to drive downtown.....
