Rising Anew Chapter 3 continued.

It was a crisp autumn morning and Narcenac was feeling especially happy. The night before he had eaten quite a bit of meat.

Narina was not feeling quite as good. She had decided to try eating some peaches that night. They had tasted kind of bland, more so than she could ever remember. Later, she began to feel lots of pain in her lower stomach. That night had been spent in agony and the pain had only abated a short while ago. It was decided that neither of them would eat anything other than the meat they had, at least until they reached Purrma.

"Are you ready to go Narina?" Narcenac asked, standing in the door of her room.

"Oh... so soon in the morning, i feel like i just got to sleep." she said bleerily.

Slowly she rose from the bed. As she slid her feet over the side of the bed, the sheets caught and slipped over her naked body, sliding slowly off of her breast and down her slim waist.

Narcenac saw every bit of it. His heart fluttered lightly at the sight of her body moving beneath the sheets. It frightened him how beautiful he now found her.

With a small shudder he regained his composure.

"We have to get going soon, there isnt any point in staying here." he replied to her.

This was not going to be easy. Things were different now. They couldnt drive, the chances of them being caught were too great. Narcenac had to find a way to get them both safely to the Glade of Shadows. There was so much to face on the way.

Narina quickly put a sweater on and grabbed her pants from the end of the bed.

"Well no sense standing around i guess, lets go." she said grumpily.

She was not all that sure about this little adventure Purrma's letter was sending them on, but she knew she had to stay with Narcenac. Without him, she would be alone in this strange existance. That was something she didnt want to happen.

They walked to the kitchen in silence and picked up the packs that they had made the night before. The packs consisted of meat and bottles of water. The basics. Though Narina had added the brush she had become fond of using on her tail.

As they headed towards the door, Narcenac picked up the letter and paper that they had put the directions on. They would need these later he was sure.

They locked the door behond them, then they stood staring at the road stretching out before them.

"Are you ready for this?" Narcenac asked with a slight nervousness in his voice.

"Lets get going, or i might not want to leave." she replied quietly.

Narina squeezed his paw gently with her own. She really loved the feel of his warm paw in her own.

They struck out along the road towards the clouds forming in the north. Leaving behind them everything they had ever known. Their car, their old clothes, their old hates, their old lives. They were rising anew as Purrma had put it so well.
