Chapter 23: Guardian spirit (October 2nd 2019 A.D. - Sunday 1:30 AM)

Kitsune awoke hearing faint foot steps from the living room. Slowly the young fox moved from the bed, being as quiet as possible, making no sound as he moved. Shon lay deep in sleep, as Kitsune made his way for the door, peeking through into the living room. Kitsune's eyes widened as he saw a figure covered in a shroud picking up, the homework Kitsune had left for Ozwot. Kitsune slowly sneak towards the figure still making no sound. He breathed in so tediously, the breathe never seemed to end. Kitsune reached out a paw to touch the figure but suddenly it looked towards him in a lightening fast motion and clenched onto Kitsune's wrist. Kitsune looked at the paw holding his wrist, the fur was white, with fingerless black gloves over them. Kitsune looked at the hood of the cloak, to see the faint outline of his lovers face.

"Oz" Kitsune spoke in a breathe. Quickly Ozwot let go of Kitsune's wrist and jumped backwards.

"Stay away" He spoke "I told you I didn't want to be close to you....I don't want to hurt you again".

"Please love, just a few words...and a kiss" begged Kitsune "I would care for nothing more than just that".

"I am scared to touch those lips my love. I am scared to bring hamr to your body yet again"

"I'm begging you!" Kitsune paused and looked at the ground "I...just want you to hold me close...and kiss me...that's it". Ozwot stood, five feet away from Kitsune, slowly he pulled the hood down.

"You're not listening Kit!" Ozwot looked away his teeth gritted "I love you...and that's why I can't touch you".

"You don't understand I..." Kitsune was suddenly interrupted by Ozwot.

"I know you've been through pain...I've been watching you from now and then...and you know I want to give you want you want Kit...but I can't!"

Kitsune whimpered falling to his knees and looking at the ground. Ozwot gave a sigh taking small steps towards Kitsune. Kitsune's hair fell in front of his eyes, shrouding his face, the darkness covering his muzzle, as the fox wept on to the floor.

"Kit.." Ozwot kneeled down and put his paw under Kitsune's chin raising his face to meet the wolf's eyes.

"...Please" Begged Kitsune once more, his eyes showed his want for the wolf's lips, the need for his love.

"I just want your safety...." Ozwot spoke reluctantly "nothing brings me more passion than your love, and just the thought of bringing harm to the very thing that loves me so much...it feels me with fear..."

"Just one kiss" The fox continued begging grasping at the wolf's paw. Ozwot looked down straight into Kitsune's eyes. He felt the throbbing of his heart as he heard this voice, and felt the pain flowing from his breathe. Ozwot slowly leaned down pulling Kitsune's chest to his, pressing his lips against Kitsune's. He could taste the love inside of his mouth, like a mountain spring it flowed into his maw.

Kitsune closed his eyes, still slightly weeping as he pressed into the kiss, his paw held onto by his lover's free paw. Ozwot's other hand placed at Kitsune's posture bringing the two together. Ozwot slowly pulled away, feeling himself almost attached to Kitsune. Kitsune stared into his eyes, still very wanting. Ozwot pulled completely away getting to his feet and raising the hood, from under the hood he looked down at Kitsune.

"...I only wish...for just a moment...I could trade places with Shon...and be able to care for you, as he does..." Ozwot's words rubbed at Kitsune's heart "...and one day...I swear to you my love...I will...I will do everything for you"

Kitsune fell onto his paws still weeping.

"I'm sorry" Ozwot apologized "...If only...I was someone else". Kitsune stayed silent then quickly stood to his feet anger filling his eyes.

"No!" Kitsune shouted "I don't want someone else...I want you! Don't you understand...what you are is what I love, and don't you dare wish for a different excistence...because...that would make you anything but the man I love". A smile came from under the robe and Ozwot turned around, his back facing Kitsune.

"Thank you" Ozwot slowly walked off picking the books from the table "you always know what you say".

Kitsune stood silent, completely naked other than the pair of red panties adorning over his sheath. His heart was pounding, he almost feared that it could be heard all over.

'that voice...that voice that rubs my heart with passion and happiness, the accent, the 'R's', the distinctiveness of it all, only he possess that voice' Kitsune thought to himself 'If only five more minutes...just to hear him... if only a few more seconds...I beg for me...and yet nothing less than forever would satisfy me'. Kitsune just stood tears running down his cheeks.

Before Ozwot opened the door he turned about once more.

"I will always protect you" Ozwot spoke so serenely before opening up the door and leaving. Kitsune leaned back and sat down on his behind, his tail limp on the ground. Shon, through the crack of the door looked over at Kitsune. Slowly he moved into the room and placed a paw on the fox's shoulder. Not speaking, he sat besides Kitsune. Kitsune looked at him with tears in his eyes.

"..I love him" Kitsune spoke still crying, his face quickly dug into Shon's shoulder. Shon placed his paw on Kitsune's back and rubbed.

"It'll be okay" He whispered "...It will be all okay".

(outside in the courtyard)

Ozwot passed the tree that stood so tall in the courtyard, looking at it, he began to fill anger rising up in him.

"Why!" He roared as he slammed his fist into the tree, splinters flying out as he made an impression on the bark. He slowly fell to his knees clasping both paws on the tree.

"Why..." He began to weep, leaning his forehead into the tree "Why...".

He continued to repeat, the question un answered, the tree almost weeping as its leaves began to fall. Ozwot shook his head and slammed his fist once more into the bark, splinters flying to the ground. He quickly stood up and began to walk away stamping into the ground.

"I must be strong!" He shouted to himself "I will be with him...and nothing will stop me!"

*** (five hours later, the sun beginning to rise over the full moon, it's silver dissipating from the strong gold emitting from the powerful ball of fire)

Kitsune awoke to find himself clenching onto a pillow in the bed, the necklace inside of his maw, faint tears still under his eyes. Slowly he pushed the stone from his muzzle and looked at it. He noticed its color had changed from white to red. The meaning did not catch Kitsune, but it's beauty still entranced him. Kitsune quickly looked over the bed to see Shon, but only an imprint of the folf's body lay in the covers. Kitsune looked about to find him. Slowly Kitsune got to his feet, almost falling backwards, quickly he grabbed onto the wall to prop himself up. He looked about and felt his arm twitching, and his head throbbing, he sniffed into the air and leaned against the wall. He could smell, something very familiar, and listening closely he could hear the sounds of cooking.

Off in the kitchen, Shon was making pancakes, sniffing at it every so often. He was adorned only by a pair of black boxers the hung around him very softly. The impression over his sheath was evident. Suddenly he saw Kitsune, now covered in a pair of bright pink short shorts, walk through the doorway, the young fox's paws running through his hair.

"Good morning" greeted Shon.

"Good morning" Kitsune mirrored "what are you doing?"

"I'm cooking" Shon smiled "For you"

"For me" Kitsune blushed "that's very kind of you but-"

"Don't ya' start" Shon swiftly cut Kitsune off "Now, how did you sleep little kit?"

"Good" Kitsune placed a paw on his arm "but my paw is asleep". Kitsune giggled and walked towards the table sitting down in the chair, and looking down at the jewel that hung down from his collar. Kitsune rubbed a paw along the white crystal structure, it's gleam bright, as lights from the outside sun swimmed through the blinds and onto the table where Kitsune sit, the sun shining against his orange-ish fur.

Shon chuckled slightly thinking to himself and looked over at Kitsune.

"So have any nice dreams?"

"Not really" Kitsune answered.

Shon ran a paw through his own hair and looked at Kitsune smiling.

"That's too bad, I was thinking maybe we could do something today" Shon turned the oven off as Kitsune sniffed.

"Smells good" commented Kitsune.

"If you say so, anyways...what do you think?"

"Nyeh?" Kitsune tilted his head his left ear twitching.

"What do you think we should do today?" Shon chuckled.

"Oh...well...Maybe we could just take a walk" Kitsune spoke shyly blushing looking at the window. Shon began to approach Kitsune, Kitsune back away slightly looking away.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing" Kitsune answered sharply.

"I'm sorry" shon apologized.

"For what?" Kitsune's position froze.

"I'm making you nervous, I don't mean to, and I'm not tryin' to take ya from Oz. I just want to get to know you better, and keep you happy". Kitsune nodded still looking away slightly

"So can I take you somewhere or something?"

Suddenly both of Kitsune's ears twitched, the gold ring in his right shaking from the quick movement. Kitsune looked up with a shining smile.

"You can take me To sissy's" Kitsune beamed happily.

"Sissy?"

"Yoshi, my sis, she stays off campus and I've been wanting to say hi to her and shadow for awhile now" Kitsune smiled clapping his paws together "Oh she's such a dear, I have to go see her apartment, you'll take me won't you!?"

"O-of course Kit" Shon was taken by Kit's sudden change from down to excited so quickly "Where is it?". Kitsune stood silent, and his ears drooped.

"I-I don't know" Kitsune whimpered "I never asked the address".

"Would Ryu know". Quickly Kitsune's ears perked up at this and his tail wagged, Shon chuckled and patted Kitsune's head.

"Well Glad to see you shin so bright" Shon smirked.

*** (an hour later)

Ryu lay back in his chair near the desk beside the computer, his glasses on as he tapped away at the keyboard staring at a paper in front of him, books opened wide. Suddenly a knock came at the door and he let out a sigh and rubbed his forehead.

"Come in!" He shouted. The door opened and in the doorway stood Kitsune smiling over at Ryu.

"Oh hey Kit, got any word from Oz?"

"Oh, yes actually" Kitsune spoke "He sent a letter a few days back".

"That's good" Shon slowly stepped in behind Kitsune as Ryu spoke "What's up then?"

"I was wondering if you knew where Yoshi's apartment was?"

"No, but Kags should know" Ryu replied. Kitsune nodded and walked through into the bedroom motioning for Shon to wait. Kitsune walked over to the bed, seeing Kagome her back turned towards him sleeping in the bed, the covers were all over, but she was fully clothed. Kitsune pawed at her left ear and it twitched and her paw flung up in reflex to stop Kitsune who giggled and then pawed at it again.

"Stop it" came her tired voice. Kitsune then pawed at the ear one more time and she quickly turned over grabbing Kitsune's paw, taking him by surprise, he shrieked and then blushed.

"Kit!" She grumbled "What's the deal!?"

"Just wanted to know if you knew sis' address"

"yoshi's?" Came a tired Kagome.

"Yeah!" Kitsune smiled "I wanna visit her today".

"ummm okay lemme think..." She shook her head and then stood up her hair in a mess.

"Sowwy about waking you" Kitsune smiled innocently.

"I bet" Kagome's right ear twitched and then she sighed, she walked to a small desk beside her bed and opened it up, and pulled a piece of paper out quickly and handed it to kit who took it graciously.

Kitsune smiled and then leaned forward taking Kagome into a hug.

"Thank you Kaggie!" Kitsune squeezed her tightly.

"You're welcome" She managed, having trouble breathing, since kitsune's arms constricted the back of her neck. Kitsune let go beaming and ran out of the room. Shon looked at him.

"Well? What's the address" Kitsune shoved the paper into Shon's paw answering the question in a way and smiled.

"Let's go!" Kitsune happily exclaimed "come on come on".

"Ya' can't just ask people to come Kit" Chuckled Shon "you gotta get them in the mood first". Kitsune hugged Shon's stomach quickly.

"Come on, please" Kitsune begged "I really wanna see her!"

"Okay okay" Shon breathed out "you're like a lil' pup you know that?"

Kitsune giggled and smiled hugging Shon tightly.

*** (an hour passed as they made there way to the car, got in, and came to the destination)

Kitsune stepped from the car followed by Shon who smiled over towards Kitsune. Kitsune stared up at a tall brick building, it was rather old looking and the light post beside them had a bulb that was blinking in its death. Kitsune whimpered.

"Sis" he complained "This place looks so scary".

"Worried about her?"

"No, she's strong but that doesn't mean she should live in a place like this" Kitsune's ears drooped.

Kitsune began to walk towards the building followed closely by Shon, who looked over Kitsune.

"What's she like?"

"Lovable" Kitsune answered "somewhat of a parallel me".

"I see, and how long have you known her?"

"A few years now, I'd say about four would be right" Kitsune nodded.

"I see" nodded Shon as they stopped at the room that read '7546'. Kitsune knocked on the door three times with his paw, and then held them close to his chest timidly.

The door flew open and the lioness stood staring at him and beamed happily before bringing him into a heavy embrace and picking him off the ground.

"Kit!" she shouted happily "My little bro, what have you been up too". Kitsune struggled to breathe and as Yoshi placed him down he blushed looking at her.

"I was in a bed sick for a few days" Kitsune stuck his tongue out, and then grasped Shon's paw moving it towards Yoshi "This is the man who is taking care of me"

"What about oz?" she asked. Kitsune looked at the ground his ears drooping.

"He's out of town for awhile, problems back at his home so I'm taking care of Kit in his absence" Shon replied Holding out his paw were Kitsune had placed it. Yoshi quickly shook it and still looked towards Kitsune.

"Are you alright?" She questioned. He nodded and then looked up smiling again.

"I'm so sorry for putting this off for so long, but it's nice to finally get to see you. We don't have any classes together" He whimpered. Yoshi placed a paw on his shoulder and smiled at him.

"It's okay bro, why don't you two come in? Shadow is at a night class right now so it won't be packed" Yoshi nodded moving the two inside before closing the door behind them. Kitsune looked around and then gave a shriek as by surprise he was taken to the ground, pounced by Yoshi, she gnawed on the back of his ear as he whimpered trying to pick himself up over her weight.

"sissy" Kitsune breathed "you're laying on my tail"

"So?" She spoke sharply and giggled still gnawing on his ear.

"It hurts!" He complained. Shon chuckled at the sight and sat in a chair watching.

The room was slightly cluttered, in one corner there was a small Kitchen, with counters and cabinets and a sink, but on the exact other corner which was carpeted, a green three fur sofa faced a somewhat large but out dated TV set with game systems cluttered with wire hanging out in an entertainment set. Shon looked about the room, there was a door leading possibly into the bed rooms, but the covers that lay on the chair he sat in and on the couch told him the sleeping was still done in this room. Though stuffy the room was fairly clean. Shon looked back and noticed that Kitsune had somehow turned about but now Yoshi was biting on his muzzle as he whimpered underneath her.

Shon could tell Kitsune could probably get out and was only playing along with the game. The two looked like little kids playing together, Kitsune was obviously happy. Suddenly Yoshi jumped up and held out a paw towards Kitsune.

"So Kit, what am I going to be in GLS?" She asked Pulling her paw away as he went to grab.

"You will be..." Kitsune put a paw digit to his lower lip, lost in thought. Yoshi froze in position and Shon smirked.

"You will be..." He repeated to himself "My...Event coordinator". Yoshi offered her paw once more, and Kitsune grabbed it. Yoshi pulled the little fox up and then looked at him questioningly.

"And that means I will be doing what?"

"You'll be deciding locations for events that I already haven't given locations to" Kitsune smiled.

"That doesn't sound to hard" Yoshi looked over Kitsune and then stopped on the pendant hanging from Kitsune collar then put her paw under it "Oooo, this thing is amazing, Where'd you get it".

"My luffy Wuffy" Kitsune answered with a smile taking it into both of his paws, smoothing over it with his pads.

"Wow, only top dollar for the fox" Yoshi smirked "and what did you get him?"

"He sent it in a package, when he gets back I'm gonna give him a nice gift" Kitsune beamed.

"Does it involve sweat?" She asked giggling.

Kitsune only blushed deeper at this and hid his face in his paws.

"awwww" Yoshi rushed towards Kitsune and embraced him rubbing his hair "He's embarrassed". Shon looked to Yoshi and then opened his mouth to speak.

"So how do you know Kitsune?" he asked.

"Well we met through Kagome, and I dunno he really got interesting to me and we became good friends".

"I see" Shon nodded.

"And how'd you meet my little bro?" She asked.

"In the university only about a month ago" Shon answered.

"So why is it you taking care of him and not his big bro Ryu?"

"I dunno" Shon answered "It's Kit's choice".

"I like Shon, it's nice having him around" Kitsune replied towards Yoshi.

"Kit you came at a bad time" Yoshi frowned "I know I invited you in, but once Shadow gets back we have to crack down, we have a huge test tomorrow". Kitsune whimpered looking over Yoshi.

"I'm sorry bro" She spoke "Maybe I'll come visit you tomorrow, we don't have to come straight back to the building after school, besides we could visit with kagome too".

"Do we have to go now?" Kitsune asked.

"Oh no, of course not, Shadow shouldn't be back for a few hours, I was just saying that it's not the greatest time" Yoshi frowned feeling silly. Kitsune clapped his paws together happily.

*** (a few hours passed, Kitsune played about with Yoshi and the three talked as Kitsune played with Yoshi on the video games. The two acted like children around each other)

Yoshi looked at the clock and frowned, and noticed Kitsune caught onto why she was doing so, as his ears drooped.

"Shadow will be coming home soon and I need to get the material ready, sorry bro" she apologized.

"It's okay" Kitsune embraced the lioness and Shon opened up the door standing near it. The three walked to shon's car together and stopped there.

"I'll see you tomorrow then" Yoshi said.

"Okay" Kitsune replied "see you then". Suddenly a man in a black coat bumped into Kitsune knocking him to the ground. The man quickly noticed and held out his paw. He was a rat with a black hat on. Kitsune grabbed the paw and was lifted up.

"Sorry" the man replied and then walked off. Kitsune dusted his clothes off and looked to Yoshi.

"Love you" He said hugging her.

"Love you too lil' bro" she replied. Suddenly Kitsune jerked away noticing something missing. He looked all over his body until he noticed the pendant was gone. He quickly raised his head and looked towards the man, who was now dashing away.

"Theif!" Kitsune shouted before starting a dash towards the man, followed by the other two. Kitsune out ran the other two closing in on the man, Kitsune couldn't believe his own pace, he knew it was abnormal but he had to get the pendant back. He began to speed up, his hair flailing as he ran after the man, he could feel his blood pumping his ear twitched as he ran, his teeth showing and Kitsune's anger at this moment rising. As Kitsune neared the thief he jumped out, Landing on the man's back and as if instinct He dug his claws into the side of the man's face blood running out. The man fell down with Kitsune and they both hit the ground with a thud. The man quickly stood up and reached into his pocket pulling out a knife and grabbed Kitsune by the collar placing the knife at his eye.

"Big mistake Kid" The man spoke Smirking evil intent in his eyes. Suddenly the man was forced backwards onto the ground, and Yoshi stood in place, just now smashing her fist into the man's face. She slammed her foot onto the man's wrist causing him to drop the knife. She looked viciously at the man.

"Hand over what's his thief!" She said. The man frantically dug around giving out groans of pain as she began to increase pressure on his wrist. Quickly he threw the pendant out and Kitsune picked it up, tears coming from his eyes. Yoshi lowered herself pulling the man close to her by the collar of his shirt and slamming a blow into his face repeatedly. He began to bleed and then she let go of his collar slamming the back of his head into the pavement.

"Don't you dare DREAM of hurting my little bro!" She shouted "Now go, before I hurt you some more". She breathed heavily still looking angrily at the man. The Rat quickly began to scurry away before making full dash away holding his nose. Shon stood just behind Yoshi who was still huffing and puffing angrily.

"Are you okay bro" She asked to Kit lower herself and putting her paws on his shoulders. He nodded tears welling up. Shon lowered himself to Kitsune's level as well.

"he didn't hurt you?" he asked.

"Sis, came in time" Kitsune replied sniffling.

"Why'd you go after him like that Kit, I can't believe you" She became annoyed.

"What would I tell Oz if that man got to you?!" Asked shon "Don't you think". Kitsune whimpered looking over the pendant.

"I couldn't let him get it" Kitsune sniffed "H-he gave it to me...I-I couldn't let it go like that". Yoshi sighed as did Shon. Shon helped Kitsune to his feet and held onto his paw.

"You can't go risking your life like that Kitsune" Spoke Shon "You're important to a lot of furs, who love you, and you too Yoshi!"

Yoshi looked at Shon shocked.

"If that man would have got to you too, Kit would more than be crushed!" Shon spoke to Yoshi "I'm older than both of you, and I'm bigger than that man, you two put yourselves in a serious situation".

"I couldn't just let him hurt my little bro!" She shouted "Kitsune has never done anything to deserve that, you aren't as fast as me, any slower and I'm certain Kitsune would be bleeding right now!"

"I understand but I was right behind you, you should have stayed back and called the police I could have handled it" shon retorted.

"Stop it!" Kitsune shouted "this is all my fault...just stop...I got it back and everyone (but that rat) is okay". Kitsune sniffed tying the pendant back onto his collar and looking at the two who sighed looking back at him.

"Should we call the police" Kitsune asked looking at the two.

"With no thief and a fairly vague description it wouldn't be worthwhile" Shon shook his head "Let's head home Kit, ya need to sit down after that...I couldn't believe how quickly you acted on that...normally ya' think before you act".

"Kit?" Yoshi paused "how long has it been since you've actually fought?"

"A few years" he replied.

"So what do you think you would have done if it was just you?" asked Yoshi. Kitsune became reluctant to answer, and Shon took his arm, and began to make way for the car.

"We've gotta get going, that's a lot of trauma, we all probably need to lie down" Shon spoke. Yoshi nodded and waved at the two then began to walk for her apartment.

*** (1 hour and 20 minutes, traffic was heavy, Kitsune stayed silent in the car looking down at the pendant. Shon attempted to say something many times but no words came from his maw).

Kitsune stepped from the car as they came to the lot. Shon noticed a cut on the back of Kitsune's shoulder that was bleeding, it wasn't horrible but enough to bother Shon, He quickly moved to Kitsune side, and turned him to face the university.

"Kit, go get that Gash fixed" Shon sharply spoke pushing the little fox towards the university. Kitsune followed taken by surprise. Kitsune did not speak as Shon lead him towards the building, he just stared timidly at the stone hanging around his neck. Shon with his paws on Kitsune's back could feel the breathing of the fox. Kitsune stayed oh so silent, no sound was on the campus other than the traffic of the roads off in the distance.

Few furs could be see walking around, but near the building a small group was huddle up on the benches in front of the entrance. They came to it soon, and Kitsune walked through the door as Shon opened it for him. Shon could see Kitsune's eyes, it looked as if any moment now Kitsune would break out into tears. Shon stopped at the veterinary room's entrance, and rubbed Kitsune's ear.

"Ya' okay Kitsune?" He questioned once more looking at the fox, who appeared to be lost inside of his fear of loss. Shon could tell Kitsune was still slightly surprised about almost losing this pendant. The folf rubbed the back of Kitsune's ear and scratched at it slowly.

"It's okay Kit, I'm going to watch harder for you from now on, I won't let it happen again."

Kitsune looked to shon for a moment and then so suddenly buried his face into Shon's chest weeping and sniffling.

"Y-you mean it?" The whining fox asked.

"I mean it" replied Shon rubbing Kitsune's back softly "now please get that patched up". Kitsune nodded pulling away and wiped the tears from his eyes, before walking through the door. Shon gave out a sigh and closed his eyes.

Kitsune moved into the small room to see Rodgers sitting at a desk. He appeared lost staring at the light. The fox could tell the raccoon was bored.

"R-rodgers" He spoke timidly.

"Huh...YES!" the Raccoon quickly stirred and then looked at Kitsune blushing "sorry what is it?"

"I fell..and there is this cut...I was wondering if-" Kitsune went to finish his sentence but Rodgers quickly stood up.

"If I could help? I'd be happy to. Where is it?" The coon was fast talking obviously he had a lot of held in energy from the day and Kitsune smiled at the hyper attitude, and tapped at the back of his left shoulder. Rodgers quickly moved behind the fox and saw it then chuckled.

"My my, clumbsy fox eh? That thing is pretty big, what happened" Rodgers asked reaching into a cabinet and pulling out some type of spray and moving back out of view behind the fox.

"I was...playing" Kitsune lied, and then the fox yelped as Rodgers began to spray the mist on Kitsune's wound.

"Oh sorry it stings a little but less than alcohol that's for sure" Rodgers spoke rubbing a bandage onto the wound and it easily stuck "So have you collapsed recently".

Kitsune shook his head and then turned to Rodgers with a smile.

"I owe you for it all though"

"For what?"

"For staying by my bed while Shon had class"

"Oh it's nothing, I just wanted to make sure you were okay" Rodgers replied humbly. Kitsune smiled then put his paws on Rodgers cheek pulling the raccoon close. Quickly the fox Placed a kiss on Rodger's black nose. Kitsune blushed pulling back and hugged the raccoon happily.

"Thank you" Kitsune continued to blush as did Rodgers. The fox pulled back and smiled at Rodgers.

"You're welcome, and if you get any more cuts you should get yourself some bandages and stuff, it's not worth the walk to come all the way here". Kitsune giggled and nudged the raccoon softly with his paw in the chest.

"It's worth it to see you" Kitsune smiled. Rodgers waved at Kitsune who began to walk off, tail wagging. Rodgers sat down back at the desk and looked at the light once more, the poor thing had nothing better to do in the boring office.

Kitsune walked out the door to meet Shon's smile.

"Any better?" Shon asked. Kitsune nodded and held out his paw. Shon looked perplexed at it and Kitsune blushed.

"I liked it when you led me by my paw" Kitsune replied shyly to Shon's confused look. Shon took it giving a smirk, and began to lead the fox down the corrider, a slightly protective feeling inside of his body and soul. It was silent but outside of the building the sun shown in, and that feeling that the poor fox was scared seemed to vanish. Shon felt almost like the little foxes Guard, a protector of this beautiful creature.
