#3 of Short Prompts

This weeks 1000-word (I swear it's 1000 words... just don't check) prompt was "I didn't expect that reaction" which is part of a weekly group challenge thing from Tayu's telegram group. Feel free to join, link can be found here: https://t.me/joinchat/CPoeZhclggenrOEh0yYwvg

I love criticism, or even just a 'good story' comment!

"Seriously?" Oliver looked in disbelief at his lion friend. "You don't drink alcohol?"

Haiden rolled his eyes. "No, never. I tried it a few times and woke up the next day in pain and with a whole heap of regrets."

The black furred wolf shook his head. It had been hard enough for Oliver to drag his friend along to the party as it was, and now they were here trying to entice him to socialise was as hard as pulling teeth. No, scratch that. At least teeth moved with enough pressure.

Oliver had hoped getting his roommate out and talking to people would help with his confidence. It was three weeks into their first semester at university and Oliver was sure the only people the lion had spoken to was himself and his lecturers. He'd hoped with the social lubrication of alcohol, Haiden would break from his shell a little and meet some people he wasn't strictly obligated to meet. That idea swirled down the drain along with the mixed drink Oliver made for him.

"Just like, have one drink to loosen yourself up a bit," Oliver pressed the lion.

Haiden snorted and looked away. The wolf sighed and studied his friend, thinking. At least his golden friend made the effort to spruce himself up a bit. His short-cut mane frilled out around his neck and up to the top of his head, and the form-fitting grey t-shirt and blue jeans were clean and ironed and made for a very attractive picture. However, Oliver also caught the nervous flick of his whip-like wiry tail betraying how Haiden was really feeling in his given situation.

"Look, I know you don't want to, but you have to get out there and talk to people. What happens in several weeks' time when you wake up and think 'shit, I'm fucking bored and have no friends?'" Haiden turned and glared daggers at the wolf. "Let me make you one drink with a tiny splash of alcohol and see how you feel. Even at your size there's zero chance of a hangover, but a slight bit more chance of accidentally being social."

Haiden continued to stare at Oliver until he was about to give in and let the lion leave but was surprised when he sighed deeply instead. "Fine, but I'm watching how much you put in."

Oliver couldn't help the toothy grin as he pushed the feline towards the kitchen and the liquid gold it contained.

"Right, so I'll mix you a simple rum and coke," Oliver snagged a square glass bottle half full of amber liquid along with a can of coke from an ice-filled cooler. He was well aware of Haiden's critical gaze as he poured a single shot into a plastic red party cup, and filled in to the brim with coke.

Haiden took the offered cup and sniffed it cautiously, scrunching up his snout at the distinct tang of rum wafting from the liquid.

"Honest, you'll barely taste it and there'll be no bad side effects tomorrow," Oliver said, trying to egg Haiden over the final barrier. He almost cheered when the lion took the first sip and his rounded golden-furred ears perked up noticeably. The wolf grinned and slapped the smaller male on the shoulder. "Come on, lets get back to the party."

It worked even better than he'd hoped. While sipping his drink, Oliver had introduced Haiden to a friend of his; an otter by the name of James. After some time chatting, Haiden even started joining in, and when Oliver noticed his friend's cup was empty, the lion handed it to him with very little fuss. Oliver whisked away to refill it.

He came back to see Haiden and James still conversing; talking about music and which of their favourite artists they had in common. Oliver handed the cup back to Haiden who gratefully accepted it and took a sip. Oliver couldn't help his smirk knowing the lion wouldn't be able to tell this drink had three-times the amount of rum as the last.

He listened a while longer until his own cup ran dry and a twinge in his bladder had him excuse himself and head down the hallway to find a toilet. He exited feeling refreshed and drying his paws on his shirt. Leaning heavily on the wall across from the door was Haiden, sans his red cup.

The lion just about collapsed against him, and it certainly didn't take a genius to know he was drunk when he started talking. "James said I hadda drink it all 'cause I..." the lion's slurred words were barely legible. "'Cause I dunno, but I hadda so I did."

"Geeze, I'm sorry buddy. I didn't know anyone was this lightweight," Oliver said. He felt a little bit bad at increasing the amount of rum in Haiden's drink, but he had no clue the lion would finish it so quickly. He figured the least he could do now was take the lion back to their room to sleep it off.

Leaving the party wasn't an issue, and no one paid any mind to the regular occurrence of two friends stumbling across campus on a Friday night.

"You're a really good friend," Haiden managed to slur out once they reached their door.

"Gods, I hope you still think so in the morning," Oliver mumbled.

He managed to unlock the door with one paw while supporting the drunk lion with the other. Fortunately, Haiden was light enough that it didn't pose much of a problem. Oliver guided the stumbling lion across the room and all but collapsed on his bed.

The lion flopped on his back and stared up lopsidedly at Oliver, grinning like a fool. "Wanna fuck?"

Oliver's eyes went wide, and he yelped, but that was probably more because of the paw suddenly grabbing at his crotch than anything else.

"Woah, I didn't expect that reaction," Oliver said. He tried to extract Haiden's paw, but the lion was insistent. "Haiden... I think you should get some sleep."

"I'll sleep better with ya knot in my ass."

He knew he shouldn't. He really knew he shouldn't. But Oliver had drunk his fair share of alcohol tonight as well, and the lion was intensely hot.

That small moment of indecision was enough to tell Haiden he'd won. The lion promptly sat up with all the dexterity of a drunk toddler and still, somehow, had Oliver's sheath in the open in a matter of seconds. Before Oliver could blink, the lion was lapping at the tapered head of his cock and slurping delightfully up his hardening shaft like a lollipop.

The moment the slight bulge of his uninflated knot popped out, Haiden pulled his muzzle away and dragged the dazed wolf onto the bed. Haiden found himself on his knees mounted over the lion with his saliva slickened length poised and twitching at the underside of the lion's ropey tail.

"Do you have lu-" the rest of the sentence was cut short by Haiden insistently pressing backwards. Oliver's concerns over lube were forgotten with a low, guttural moan. Half his thick shaft found itself quickly wedged deep in the mewling lion's ass. With one more motion from Haiden, the rest was sheathed inside as well.

Haiden set the pace, urging Oliver faster and harder. Finally, the wolf found himself doubled over Haiden's rump growling. The lion's tailed looped out of the way around his neck, as he pounded the full length of his thick cock in and out as fast as his hips would allow him. Haiden was making all sorts of moaning and mewling noises. At one point, Oliver was pretty sure he heard a distinct tearing sound. He'd have to get some replacement sheets.

It came to an end suddenly, with Haiden arching his back and thrusting back to meet Oliver's pace. Not expecting it, Oliver couldn't stop his swollen knot from punching through and locking the two together.

Oliver chocked on what was originally a moan and collapsed on top of Haiden, driving them both to the bed. The wolf moaned and shivered each time his sac pumped potent strings of cum to flood and mark the lion's ass. The scent of musky lion cum reached his nose letting him know Haiden had finished without any assistance.

A silence passed over the room save for the soft panting of two worn out furs, a heavy contrast from moments ago, until a quiet snort made Oliver chuckle. They'd be stuck together for a while yet and Oliver wasn't done emptying his balls. Eventually he too drifted off.

Oliver awoke the next morning to a groan beside him. The memories of last night were still clear as a summer's day. He hadn't drunk nearly enough to forget. Not to mention the filthy matted fur around his sheath.

Haiden rolled over on the spot to face Oliver. The scowl made him shrink in on himself.

"Um... good morning?" Oliver said hesitantly.

"I fucking hate alcohol," Haiden growled.

"Hangover?" Oliver was hopeful. Maybe the lion wasn't too angry with him...

"No," Haiden snarled. "My fucking ass is on fire you idiot."

"Oh," Oliver said lamely.

The two stared at each other. Oliver wanted to run. It would be silly to run from his own room. Instead he fought his flight instincts and stayed, waiting for Haiden to make the next move.

Haiden closed his eyes and sighed softly. "At least I don't have regrets this time," he mumbled.

Oliver blinked. "What?"

"When we have sex again, you better fucking lube that club you call a dick."
