Part Five:

The Wood

By: Mr. Mouse

Gavril had stood and was busy stretching as the mouse kept paging through the book they'd been reading. He saw there were a variety of spells written on the pages afterwards. There were details about how the forest drew magic from the Horothian Star, which enchanted it's trees and that it was that magic that the cabin used for fuel when it burned logs in the fireplace.

As interesting as that was he saw the lion continuing to stretch and thought he should put the book back, ready to get out of the cabin. The mouse looked through the variety of books on the shelves as he did, but saw one with a shimmering blue and silver cover that seemed to stand out to him. He opened the book and took in that old book smell a moment before he read the title on the first page:

Forest Magic and how to spellcast.

Osric hummed but was then distracted by the big lion who snuck up behind him and rested his massive chest on the back of the mouse's head.

"Hey," said Gavril with a grin.

Osric turned around and nuzzled his nose into that thick, soft, chest fur and the rather fluffy mane that trailed down his chest in a delicious trail that went all the way to his crotch. The mouse chittered happily as he reached up and caressed the hard bumps of his torso muscles and inhaled the manly musk of his lover.

"Hey there big lion," said Osric as his hand slid down and groped the thick bulge of the lion's crotch through his black tattered slacks, "Goin' my way?"

The large cat's chest rumbled with a purr but with a disappointed gaze he shook his head, "Oh my goodness... Trust me when I tell you that I want to keep that going my precious little mouse man. However, we really do need to cut some wood before we can play with our logs."

Gavril chuckled a bit and his laughter caught on to Osric to the point that the mouse had to wipe a tear from his eye. He took a step back and looked over the mighty and muscular red and black lion man. He took notice of something odd, then looked around the cabin, "Gavril... I don't see an axe. How can you cut the wood?"

"More magic," said the lion. He walked to the door and beckoned the mouse follow him, "Watch this."

The lion opened the door then faced the mouse and backed up as he stepped out into the wilderness. The only light outside was that which came from within the cabin through the windows and door. As he walked outside a large farmers hat appeared on his head, along with a thick, black-furred cloak over his shoulders clasped with a silver clasp in front of his neck. He raised his hand then a massive obsidian wood handled and obsidian stone headed axe appeared in his hand. The axe had runic letters upon the shiny head which looked to be made of rubies.

"The cabin provides," said Gavril giving a few poses to show off his his form in the cloak, hat and with the giant axe. He gave a few flexes then stepped back further into the woods, giving a waggling finger to draw the mouse outside with him.

The mouse watched the show and absentmindedly walked towards the beauty in the woods, forgetting that he was still holding the book from the shelf in hand. After he crossed the threshold of the door he found himself wearing different clothes as well. Suddenly he head a blue wizard's cap on his head a blue cloak on his shoulders and a tall, crooked, wizard's staff in his hand. The staff, hat, and cloak were all lined with a blue filigree that matched the cover of the book he held. At the end of his wizard's staff hung a silver lantern that lit up the forest around them by a glowing crystal within.

"Oh my goodness," said Gavril, "Looking good, Osric. I didn't know it would give you special stuff too."

Osric looked himself over and saw a small pond a little ways away from the cabin. He walked over and looked into the pond to see his new look, "Huh. That's kind of nifty."

"It really is," Gavril smiled, "That extra light is going to help a lot more too. Before I just had to rely on my natural low light sight. One of the reasons it's good to be a cat."

Osric looked to him and tilted back his hat a little, "I don't think I could see much of anything out here without this lantern," he then walked up to the lion and kissed him on the lips, "I think we should get to cutting wood so that we can get back to the cabin's safety. What with there being the Koevyk and all."

"My sentiment's exactly," said Gavril. He walked over to a rather sizable tree, about 3 feet across if Osric had to wager a guess. He watched the lion toss back his cloak so that he could get room for a big swing, and a big swing it was. The lion hit the tree with a mighty crack that resounded through the forest. Another crack and splinters exploded from the lion's might. Crack a third time and the tree began to sway a bit, "Stay behind me Osric. I don't want this thing to fall on you."

Osric nodded and ran up behind the lion, but peeked out from behind the black-furred cloak and watched the powerful final swing that caused the tree to crack and pop.

"Timbur!" yelled the lion as the tree fell before them. Osric noticed that despite the tree having fallen, the canopy still didn't let in any light from the outside world... that is, if it was daylight out.

The tall tree hit the ground with a crash that resounded through the forest floor and disturbed a scent of fresh dirt, old dust, and petrichor that stimulated the mouse's nose. Gavril took a deep sniff after the tree fall as though very satisfied and enjoying himself a bit.

The mouse smiled and looked up to the lion in awe, "That was impressive. I mean that tree was gigantic and you took it out in just four swings. I've never seen anyone do anything like that before."

The lion did a few flexes, "Well I always was pretty strong and I feel like I've only gotten stronger for cutting and carrying wood every day since I've been here. If you think that is something, look at this..."

The lion tossed back his cloak with a flourish and then brought the axe down with another mighty blow to the fallen tree. He walked a ways down then hit the tree again with a thundering crack. A massive section of the tree was cut free from the trunk that must have been twenty feet long and three feet around. The lion tossed his axe with an expert throw and it spun through the air then landed with a thunk, head first, right into the tree stump.

Gavril hopped over the massive log, which must have weighed a literal ton, then squatted down before it. He jabbed at it with his hands and dug his powerful fingers right into the wood. Then stood up and lifted the giant log. The lion flexed mightily with a reassuring smile as he began to curl the log as though it were a barbell. He did overhead presses as though it were nothing to him. The lion finished by doing squats, all while keeping an eye on his mouse and something that interested him greatly, the growing tent in the mouse's shorts.

Osric kept finding himself in awe and thinking that the goings on around him had to be a dream. This part of the dream was so fantastic that he couldn't help himself. He found himself walking up to the lion as he hoisted that massive weight.

How could anything ever harm such a powerful man? How could anyone dream of hurting such a sensitive person? How could he resist the lion before him?

As the lion worked out with the wooden weight the mouse began to rub his legs. Then feeling upwards from his powerful legs he pressed to the impressive abs and began to lick them almost instinctual. The musk of the lion only drove him more wild as he felt the powerful flexing chest. The lion bit his lower lip as the mouse caressed his body and when Osric undid his pants, he found that the lion was already half hard.

Gavril knew they should have been cutting wood in the forest but found the mouse's attentions irresistible. He dropped the massive log behind them and it fell with a crash. Osric was swept into the lions arms as Gavril sat down and took the mouse with him. He leaned back on the log and flexed his chest and arms for the mouse.

Osric kissed over that powerful chest and those huge, pumped, throbbing arm muscles. He inhaled deeply to take in the lion's manly scent and licked the sweat from his fur, enjoying the tang of the most powerful man he had ever known. The mouse was so enthralled he didn't even remember removing his pants but sat atop the lion bottomless. His rump against the lion's sixteen inch monster while the mouse's eight inches throbbed against the lion's abs.

"Oh my little mouse, I'm so happy that you aren't scared of me," said the lion.

The mouse leaned in to kiss that lion on his quivering lips. Osric pulled off to look into the lion's eyes, "I don't think I could ever be scared of the most attractive person I've ever met."

The lion squeeed with glee at the mouse's sweet words and received another kiss as his reward. Their erections, however, throbbed harder than ever as they ground against one another. The mouse then felt the clevage between the lion's massive pecs and got an idea.

Osric grinned widely then scooted up on the massive lion and thrust his eight hard inches of mouse meat between the larger man's pecs. The mouse moaned and the lion watched in surprise. Not a bad surprise but one that turned him on more than he would have thought.

The mouse pulled back and thrust into the pecs once more, again and again. The lion moaned as though he were being fucked in his rump. The sensation was fantastic for both as the lion flexed and unflexed his pecs for the mouse. The lion felt the mouse getting close and the scent of his mouse musk so close to his face had driven him wild long enough. He gripped the mouse by the rump and pulled him forward to swallow the mouse cock whole in his feline mouth.

He sucked and licked hard as he bobbed in time with the mouse's thrusts and before long the mouse had fired a fantastic load into the lion's mouth. So much so that the lion had trouble swallowing it all and found it gushing from his mouth. The sweet and savory mouse cum was fantastic tasting to the lion and the overwhelming mouse musk brought him to his own orgasm.

The lion's load exploded up into the canopy above them and rained down a top both of them, dripping on their clothes and fur. Once the pair had finished the romp in the woods, the mouse lay atop the lion's chest, giving him tender kisses. They had both forgotten the dangers of the forest once their love making had begun.

The mouse was the first to hear a twig snap in the distance. He shot up and grabbed his staff from the ground. He held it up and looked around but saw nothing. The mouse pulled his pants back on and looked to Gavril, "We should get the wood and get back."

Gavril didn't need to be told twice. He pulled his pants up, grabbed his axe and set to cutting. The mouse kept a watch out as the lion cut wood into smaller chunks and began to run it into the cabin. Osric focused on where the sound had come from and was intent on keeping them both safe as best he could.

That's when he saw it. In the woods there was a dark figure that moved slowly. It shifted among the trees and before Osric could cry out, to warn Gavril, it rushed them with a silent furious speed.

Gavril heard the flittering of a leather flapping as something moved quickly at him. It was dark and something silver flashed forth. It was some kind of blade that was jagged and about 4 feet long. Whatever or whoever it was, was attacking the mouse and lion.

The lion brought up his axe to parry the blade as the dark cloaked figure attacked. He mostly had to parry and block as the attacker was fast and relentless. Gavril saw one in to make a swipe with his free hand but the attacker ducked back. It's hood was slashed revealing that whoever it was wore a helmet of blackened, burnt bones with a mask that completely concealed their appearance. In the light of the open cabin door he saw the attacker wore a suit of bones.

The helmet of their attacker had horns and seemed to have a singular focus of attacking the lion. Osric used this to his advantage and came at the attacker from behind. He swiped them with his wizard's staff, but the expert attacker ducked and dodged, backing off from the pair as they came at them at the same time.

The mouse and the lion moved in unison. They both felt some kind of connection that allowed them to do so but just as they were feeling it, the mouse was hit by a kick from the attacker and knocked back. Gavril was left to fight alone, worried for his mouse. The mouse picked himself up and then saw the book that he'd brought with him outside. He reached for it and without picking up the book it floated to his hand and opened to a page without him meaning to.

There was a passage that glowed bright with words he didn't know, yet he somehow knew their intent. He read them aloud:

"Fulcata enivriem dovrakas!"

With the words spoken he pointed his staff to the dark attacker and a blast of blue light shot forth from the lantern, blasting the bone-armored person away from the lion. Gavril looked to the mouse in surprise. Osric shrugged just as confused as the lion was.

The bone-armored person stood behind them and pointed it's silver blade to the sky, "Golvada lethagra!"

A bolt of red lightning fired forth from the blade and hit the lion square in the back, knocking him from his feet. Gavril was out cold on the ground, face down.

Osric saw the lion hit the ground and he felt a well of emotions careen past a flood gate inside him, "Leave him alone!"

The bone-armored person cackled with their voice distorted, "Why would I do that? It seems only fit that the witch should sacrifice another woodcutter for their cause. Or were you offering to stand in for him?"

Osric watched the witch walk closer to the lion, "I said back off from them! I mean it!"

The mouse was trembling and the witch could see it. They cackled again and raised their jagged blade, "Give me one good reason."

"Because I love him!" Osric shouted.

The words 'I love him' echoed through the forest and the lion heard them. Though he was knocked out, they resonated through him and filled him with a renewed passion of his own. He awoke with a roar and backhanded the bone-armored witch away from them. Osric ran to Gavril and pointed to the cabin with his staff. No words were needed as the lion scooped him up and rushed them both inside. The witch came up from behind with a horrifying shriek that could have peeled paint from a fence. The jagged blade was set to come down upon them once again, when Gavril slammed the cabin door shut.

Then all was quiet. The lion panted and gently set his mouse down. Inside the cabin, their staff and axe were gone but they both still had their hats and cloaks. Osric hugged his lion close and let out a happy sigh.

The lion returned the sentiment and just held his mouse contented. The mouse pushed away from the lion and ran around him in a panic, looking him over very worried.

"Are you okay?" asked Osric.

The lion's eyes welled up with tears, "I'm more than okay, my little mouse."

"You're not hurt?" asked the mouse.

"I don't think I am," said the lion.

"You came back out there," said the mouse as he wiped a tear from his eyes, "I was so worried."

"I love you too."

The mouse's tears seemed to dry on their own. He stopped a few feet away from the lion and felt his heart in his throat, "What?"

"We haven't known each other very long," said the lion, "But I felt it too. From when I first got you in here till now and it's only gotten stronger. A connection between us. I heard you in the woods and I feel the same my little mouse. I love you too."

The mouse was at a loss for words as the lion knelt before him with arms outstretched. He ran into Gavril's arms and shared a long deep kiss as they melted into one another once more.
