Event! She's the Reason for the Season

Was in Wouhlven's stream the other day and they were kind enough to just give me a nice Rena design they had laying around. So I decided to write a quick story to go along with it. Just an introduction to Event, the festive Rena!

(Even if Christmas was months ago now ;)

"This might just stupidest idea they've come up with yet." Even many months pregnant Event knew it was her time of year, always had been, always would be. But this years shoot was just a dumb idea.

"Oh, sure climb on top of a house in the middle of winter, pose on the chimney, then slide down to finish the shoot inside." Sure, Rena's like her were more than athletic enough, even when pregnate, to pull it off. And they had put plenty of crash mats around and had widened the chimney considerably. It was still a dumb idea though.

Plus it was freezing out here.

"Alright, you ready for the main event up there?" Her producer, Mercy, chuckled. She never got tired of that stupid joke.

"Yeah I'm ready. Ready to stop freezing my buns off up here! Lets get going already!"

"Alright, we've got the camera's set up" Mercy shouted up at her through the megaphone. "Let's start with something playful. One leg bent up and hands up behind you head. Great!" Flash! "Now sprawl on you back across the chimney!" Flash!

"Mercy, my tail is about to drop off up here! Can we get to the main shoot already?" It really wasn't that cold out, especially through her fur, but that didn't mean her ass wasn't getting sore sitting on these bricks up here.

"Alright, alright. Let's get one more then we can move onto the main. Grab your sack and try to get halfway out of the chimney for a nice shot. There should be a little ledge inside that you can stand on."

"If I fall off here I will digi-haunt your ass!" There was indeed a little ledge a few feet down that she could rest her feet, or rather the ends of her toes on. They better get this over quick. There were much more enjoyable, though not as profitable, ways to spend a snowy winters. Like some hot coco and a blazing fire. Not sliding down a chimney to pose and look all blazing hot.

"Alright, I'm ready. Let's hurry this up!" Event shouted back down at the crew.

"Jeez, you're cranky today. What's are those eggs doing to you? Anyway hold aaaaaand.... alright, we're good."

"You try hauling this belly up a building in the snow and see what you feel like!"

It took a few more minutes of perching there like a damned digi-bird before Mercy finally gave her the go ahead that in inside crew was set up. She'd slide down the chimney, land on all the soft pillows laid out below, strike a saucy pose, and then this years Christmas calendar would be almost finished.

"Alright, ready Event?"

"Ready and willing to get this stupid thing done with."

"Ok, 3, 2, 1, Slide!"

Pushing back off the ledge Event let herself start to slide down the steep incline of the chimney. It was one of the main reasons they had chosen this house. Scenic looking, didn't have a straight vertical chimney, suitably Christmas-y. They had even lined the inside of the brick with slippery butcher paper to prevent scrapping.

However there was one thing they had apparently overlooked. "Uhhh, people, I'm a little stuck here!" Dangling, she was left so that just the tips of her toes were protruding into the fireplace.

"What! Did you scrunch up? We went over this, there should be plenty of room!" Event could hear Mercy pacing around down there while the rest of the crew went wild panicking.

"No I didn't scrunch up. What do you think I am, stupid? The damn thing just isn't wide enough for me and.... Mercy, when did we do those test measurements?"

"Test measurements? Would have been a few months ago when we signed the agreement on this place."

"Yeah well guess what I didn't have back then!" Event gestured to her quite occupied gut as best she could, even though no one else could see. "But you insisted I still do the shoot, kept saying that baby bumps are really hot right now."

"Oh shit, you're right. We never updated to your new, umm, measurements. Oh shoot, what do we do? Anyone got any lard!"

With that, Event was left dangling there alone, as the small crew began fanatically looking for anything that could un-stick her. Just stretched out with her sack above her head and.... wait! Her sack! At this angle it wasn't easy to rummage around it and several small items ended up bouncing off her head but after a minute or two her hand finally closed on it. Her digivice!

"This is so much easier when you have someone else to do it for you." Event muttered to herself, "Now what cards do I have in here. Hyper Wing? Would just stick me up more. Drill? Don't want to get fined for destroying the house. Shrink? There we go!" That card in particular might not have had many combat uses but it was going to be her savour now.

"Hey, listen, you guys better be ready down there, I'm only gonna do this once!"

The sounds of panic lessened for a moment before starting up again as everyone (she hoped) rushed back to their positions. If they missed this and tried to make her do it over she just might bop somebody.

"Ok, here we go. Digi-modify: Shrink!" It wasn't exactly easy to swipe a card when your arms could barely move but the effects were immediate. Event almost instantly shrunk down to half her size and started tumbling down the rest of the chimney. From there it was a quick bounce, ouch, and she was sprawled out in front of the fire place. Thinking fast she quickly assumed a sexy lounging pose as the cards effect reverted and half a dozen flashbulbs went off in her face.

It may not have been the most glamorous but Event always knew how to make an entrance, and once this years calendar was finally done she would get to continue being the reason for the season for fans all over the world.

But damn did she need a painkiller and a hot bath right now.
