A silly conversation in a chatroom led to this. Please enjoy the inaugural adventures of May and Leo, the fox adventurer siblings in their first daring misadventure!

Also, hi! I uploaded a thing for the first time in a million years. :P

May and Leo, the two adventurer fox siblings, stood either side of the altar. It had been easy getting through the temple. Too easy, and now the two young but veteran explorers understood why. The traps had been fairly obvious, but seemingly inactive, but here, on the altar, under the lost Idol of Kaerts Teerts was the trigger; and it was impossible to disarm.

May looked up at her brother "Are you sure we're ready for this?"

Leo rotated his shoulder, "We'd better be. If we're gonna restore any dignity to our family name, we've gotta prove Dad's theories were right. This idol will go a long way to towards that!"

May sighed "I know. You're right. But the second we move this thing, the whole temple is gonna try to kill us." May pulled her hat down tight over her head, her fox-ears poking through the holes in the brim. "It's gonna be tough."

Leo adjusted his hat too. The siblings had been given identical hats by their adventurer father when they were still kids, the things had gone everywhere with them. They used to get the two mixed up all the time, but now they were easily told apart by their various scuffs and patches.

Beyond the hats, the two otherwise wore similar adventuring getup. As they were currently in a rather arid area, they were both wearing loose once-white shirts, although May opted for snug shorts as opposed to Leo's baggy, pocket-covered khaki pants.

"Well, the first things that's gonna happen is that wooden frame up there is going to drop and block off the door. So I'll get into position to grab that if you grab the statue. After that, we run."

May nodded, a look of fierce determination on her face. She backed up to the far end of the room and took up a sprinter's ready stance. Her brother positioned himself under the door and prepared to catch the falling wooden slats.

"Ready? One. Two..."

And as one: "THREE!"

May sprang forward, sweeping her arms across and snatching the idol off the altar. The pressure plate beneath it jumped just a few centimetres but that tiny movement signalled tremendous changes in the temple's environment. A whiplike crack signalled the movement of the wooden wall swinging down to cover the sanctuary door but Leo was there to catch it across his shoulders allowing his sister to sprint past, skid between her brother's legs and out into the corridor beyond. She hit the ground hard and heard a brief tearing noise, but there was no time to investigate. She rolled onto all fours just in time to see Leo manoeuvre himself out from under the barrier. He let it drop to the floor off his shoulders.

The whole temple was shaking now. Dust and debris fell from the ceiling as the two explorers sprinted out of the sanctuary chamber and into the main corridor. Leo charged ahead a few yards before turning to check his sister was following. "C'mon! We've got to go! The whole temple could be coming down!"

"I'm coming!" May yelled and she scrambled to her feet, but then almost immediately stumbled forward. Something was wrapped around her legs. She looked down and saw both the answer to her hindrance and to the tearing sound she heard earlier: Her shorts had been torn from hem to hip across the one side and were now hanging at mid-thigh.

"Loose them!" Leo yelled.

"But.." May protested.

"Loose them or loose everything! Hurry!"

"Dammit!" May groaned, slipping the shorts down her legs and cursing her choice of bright yellow panties with the daisy prints she'd chosen that morning. Especially as they were a bit too small for her, too small for her to use the tail-hole, so the panties rode low on her behind. She rolled onto her feet, scooped up the idol, and took off charging after her brother.

The ground and walls shook. The two explorers tore down the main corridor of the temple. It was almost a straight shoot to the exit but there were innumerable traps along the way and the pair had no idea which ones had been re-activated by the idol's removal.

"Look out!" Yelled Leo as his sister approached an ominous looking section of wall dotted with ominous looking holes. Her eyes widened and she quickly threw the idol over to her brother just as several wooden stakes flew out of the wall. One scratched her side, another caught nothing but fabric by her elbow. She was pinned to the wall by her shirt. She looked forward staring right into a hole that has not yet released its piercing contents. Instinct took over. She threw her arms upwards, pulled her knees up to her chest and ley gravity do the rest. She fell, and a wooden shaft slammed into the wall exactly where her had would have been just a millisecond before.

She landed hard on her tail on the floor having slipped out of her shirt. No time to collect that. She scrambled to the side and continued the run.

Leo sprinted ahead. The idol tucked under one arm. The building shook, nearly knocking him off balance. Up ahead he saw the floor begin to drop away. He glanced briefly over his shoulder, barely registering that his sis was chasing after him in just her sports bra and panties. "Pit!" he called.

Leo jumped. Throwing the idol forward as he went. He fell short. The edge of the pit colliding hard with his chest. He scrambled with his hands to make some purchase and managed to grab a vine. He dangled there for a second before thinking of his sister. "May?" He yelled.

"I'm coming! Hold on!" Came the reply. May jumped. Her target wasn't to clear the pit. If Leo couldn't do it, she knew she couldn't, her target was Leo.

Leo braced himself and after just a few seconds he felt an impact as his sister collided into him. She grasped at his back to find a grip but slipped down, grabbing instead onto his pants.

"Are you okay?" Leo called over his shoulder.

"Yeah". May answered.

"Climb up. We have to move!"

May reached up and tried pulling, but something gave as she shifted her weight, she dropped a few inches. Panicking she clawed back up, only to drop once more. "HAY!" came Leo's voice "Watch what you're doing!"

It was only at this point that May realised that she'd squeezed her eyes shut. She forced them open only to be greeted with the sight of her brother's blue-and-white striped boxer shorts. Her weight had pulled his pants right down to his knees. "Sorry!" She called back, just before she dropped more, pulling Leo's pants down with her! Dropping past his ankles this time and leaving May dangling by the inverted garment. "SORRY!" She repeated.

"Pull yourself up! Quick! We need to get out of here before the front doors close!"

May scrambled awkwardly up Leo's legs, prompting a loud yelp from him as she was forced to pull herself up by his tail at one point, but that bit of discomfort allowed her to mantle upwards and get a hand on his shirt. She heard her bother grunt as she pulled his collar tight across his throat for a second before wrapping an arm around his shoulders and heaving herself up and over. Quickly she scrambled around on all fours to help pull her brother up out of the pit.

She reached down, grabbed a handful of shirt and pulled. There was a sudden tearing sound and May found herself flailing backwards onto her butt holding the torn remains of Leo's shirt sleeves. "Grab my ARMS, sis!" Leo called as May crawled back to the pit, taking a firmer hold this time and helping Leo up and out.

Leo had already thought ahead. As soon as he was out, he rolled onto his back and kicked off his trainers (thanking the gods that he'd worn those and not his boots) and scrambled out of his inverted trousers. Far quicker than trying to right them. He scrambled to his now bare paws and took off after his sis, who had already grabbed the idol and was sprinting ahead.

Leo put on a burst of speed to catch up with May. She was pushing forward as fast as she could down the shaking corridor. Leo caught up with her and the two ran parallel for just a few seconds before May suddenly shoulder-barged her brother into the wall. Leo had barely a second to utter a "What the..?" before a pendulum-blade swung down between him and his sister. "Oh."

Leo sprang back up, nodded to his sister and the two pressed forwards, keeping an eye on the ceiling for further traps. Another shake of the building knocked May off balance just as another pendulum swung down in front of her. "DROP!" yelled Leo.

May dropped, hitting the ground and pushing the idol forward across the floor as she fell. She felt the blade swing down across her back, missing her by mere millimetres. She looked up at her brother "I'm okay!" She scrambled to her feet but something was off. Something was hindering her arms.

Her bra. The blade had cut the strap across the back and it was now handing loosely around her forearms. She let out a quick involuntary 'meep' before wrapping her arms around her chest.

Leo caught up to her. "C'mon sis! We've got to move!" he called before hooking one of her arms in his and dragging her to her feet. "C'mon!" The two took off again and the temple gave yet another angry shake as Leo scooped up the idol once again.

The entrance was in sight. An oblong of light that was slowly, slowly shrinking. The pair charged forward, but neither of them had spotted the change in tiles on the floor. The ground gave way, dropping down and becoming a steep decline downwards. The two both lost their footing and slammed down onto the slope and slid downwards. Large stone pipes shot out of the walls releasing a deluge of brown water. The floor became a worked stone waterslide.

They both slipped and slid down the slope. Leo scrambled for purchase and finally managed to grab a vine. He held on with one hand, clutching the idol to his chest with the other as May washed past and grabbed his legs. More pipes shot out and more, stronger flowing water was added to the slope.

"May!" Leo called. "I'm gonna pass you the idol. Hold on to the vine. I'll climb up and pull you up!"

It took a while but May finally made it. Pulling herself up Leo's body, against the rushing water. She grabbed the vine, wrapping it around her arm, and took the idol from Leo.

With both arms free, Leo reached up and grabbed the vine. Hauling himself up. Once high enough he wrapped a leg around and began to shimmy upwards.

May went to say something as her brother pulled himself upwards and past her but thought better of it. Unlike some garments, boxer shorts aren't designed to resist the onrush of large amounts of water. Especially should an individual be caught with strong water rushing downwards across one's body. May's reluctance to point out Leo's predicament was in part because she didn't want to distract him from his task and part because she herself was now well aware that her own underwear was equally vulnerable to such a situation. She did her best to avid thinking about it as she was hauled up.

At the top Leo wasted no time addressing his own situation or hers. "The door is closing! We've got to go!"

Once again they took off in a sprint and once again the temple shook angrily. The oblong of light was now barely a sliver across the door. "Slide!" Leo yelled as they charged down the last few yards. May swung her arm and bowled the idol under the door before the two of them hit the deck and slid baseball-style under the door.

For a few brief seconds two leather hats lay on the floor before a single slim arm whipped under and scooped them both up just as the stone slab slammed into place sealing the dread temple of Kaerts Teerts off for good.

May handed her brother his hat, which he did not place on his head, instead holding it at his crotch. May did the same with hers. The two soggy foxes stood in the arid outdoors, butt-naked but triumphant as the sacred golden idol lay at their feet.

"Well..." May gasped, her breath ragged as she calmed down from the shock of her experience "Well... We did it! We got the idol!"

Leo nodded. "We can prove dad's theories right! We did it! We can restore dignity to our whole family!"

"Yeah. But..." May said, turning to face the dirt trail. "It's a long walk to the town..."
