#39 of Commissions & Gifts

Two in a day, feels good. This one's a commission for FA: Galrastan of his characters Maurice and Xek again, this time having a date and being gay in general. It's all cute. Pretty short commission, overall, but still enjoyable. A sequel to this old thing (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30101886/). Give all of them a read!

As always, feel free to ask me about commissions if you would like one.

Xek and Maurice © FA: Galrastan

"Do you know what you wanna do?"

Predictably enough, he panicked. The moment Xek came into his field of vision, he felt his body freezing over. No matter the flames framing his face like a beard, gently lashing about, or the mane of orange sunshine fire bursting from his scalp, all creating a beautiful contrast with the dull gray of his scale; ignore the shirt he kept halfway open at all times just to show off the magnificent pecs, a mere fragment of the stocky body hiding beneath his casual clothes, covered in a carpet of virile blazing hair; not even the flames shaped like horns atop his head were a problem. It was the smile; the warm, silly smile he always gave him, that made him freeze like that. It was just too pretty.

"Yo, Earth to Maurice?" he waved and that's when Maurice knew he had been staring for far too long. It happened often, and he was just too dense to notice, or too polite to point it out. Either way, being brought back to reality like this only helped to make him feel conscious about it, as the blush that would then set on his cheeks always showed, and he had to look in any other direction to keep from making a fool of himself. For the first time, he was grateful for his peculiar coloration; had Xek seen the white scales going beneath his collarbone, the red would've been too evident, but in the chocolate brown of his face, they completely vanished.

But there was no running from the fire dragon, and a second later Maurice was being pulled back to him, with a pair of lips planting on his own, a restless tongue pushing against them forcing them to open and snaking inside, struggling, wrestling against his own in a dance of flesh that remained away from the prying eyes of the bystanders. Yes, Maurice suddenly remembered they were in public and started panicking again, desperately thinking about how he had to step away and keep a low profile... yet unable to split from those sweet, sweet lips and the ticklish brush of the flaming beard against his scales. So much that when Xek was the one to break the kiss apart, he surprised himself leaning forward for more.

"D-Don't do that!" a pout appeared on his face, and of course, his date laughed at it, nonetheless grabbing his hand and pulling him until they were walking next to one another. It made him feel conscious, yes, but Maurice wouldn't change a thing. A quick look to the side as the clouds moved gave him a clear view of the blue sky on the other side of the tall windows, illuminated by the warm sunrays that were now shining on the outside and all over the mall. Masses of people walked around them, seemingly invigorated by the sudden appearance of the star in the sky, but for once he didn't bother with them; as long as their hands were linked together, he didn't feel any anxiety. It was just one of many things he lov- "Ah! Ice cream! It got really hot all of a sudden, I could go for some ice cream."

"Did it? I can barely tell, haha," he said while pointing all over the flames, putting a bit of extra focus on his chest, trying to drive the chocolate dragon's attention towards it. As if he needed any help to make him stare at those pecs, to admire the way the flames bristled every time he took air and those mounds of muscle heaved with them; lord, how bad he wanted to put his face between them. "Like what you see?"

"Stop that!" was all he could muster as the red started to creep in his face, becoming visible with each passing second; he had to fight the urge of covering it to not pull Xek's eyes up, but that meant his own were drawn to the same chest as he started bouncing it without the least effort, grinning while walking to the stand, leaving por Maurice a steaming mess. "I said stop! God, you're such a tease..."

"You know, I wouldn't be such a tease if you didn't look so cute when you freak out," he replied before ordering his treat, and Maurice ended up pouting once again. The only thing more frustrating than being one-upped so often was being left without any clever replies to try and fight back, especially when they made him feel so flustered; but the worst part was easily being left with nothing to do but stare silently at the strong, gorgeous piece of man he had in front of him. With no words to speak of, he often found himself looking at every inch of his big, delectable body, eating him up with his sight, undressing him in his mind, already yearning the thick, dripping, throbbing- Ah! There he went again! "Look at this thing, the cone is made with chocolate, but the ice cream is vanilla, so the colors are inverted from you. How cute is that...? Maurice, you're blushing."

"I'm not!" he whined while getting his own cone, hoping he would be able to hide it behind the ball and predictably failing when he put too much focus on the way Xek licked his, tongue going slowly, sensually from the edge and rising all the way to the tip, his eyes barely open refusing to split away from the treat, tipping it with a flicker before a quick, quiet, sharp moan left his throat and he licked his lips to get any remaining bits off them. He had never in his life been more thankful for having a slit to keep his boner hidden; otherwise, the tent he would be showing off right now would be such an embarrassment. "W-Why are you like this?"

"Like what?" he said, and of course licked the cone again, this time all the way from the cookie to the ball, slower, louder, practically kissing it as he slurped the tip and convinced Maurice that he was planning on trying to swallow it whole, and he could swear he was about to faint. "You know, it's really good, but you definitely taste a lot better," and without warning, the fire dragon stepped up to his blushing date and leaned forward, tongue pressed against his neck as he started gently nibbling and sucking, forcing a couple gasps out of Maurice despite what little effort he actually put into it. At least until the chocolate dragon pulled back, except now he was closer to a strawberry in coloration.

"We're in public! Fudge!" Maurice had somehow managed to master the art of loud whispering and was now using it against the fire dragon's mean laughter. "Stop that or I'll... I'll break up with you!" he said that without thinking, and almost immediately regretted it. Then immediately regretted regretting it, and before he knew, he was in a spiral of emotions, with nothing but Xek's laughter to keep him grounded to reality. The dragon, luckily enough, didn't seem to have picked up on what he said, as he only started laughing louder- Ah, but didn't that mean that he was laughing louder because he heard? So, he was laughing at it because it was a ridiculous idea, because in order to break up with someone you need to be dating them in the first place, right!

These were the kind of thoughts that had been plaguing poor Maurice's head for the past few weeks. Specifically, ever since he and Xek shared their first night together. The first of many, as a matter of fact; it seemed like every date ended up in one of their bedrooms, more often than not with the flaming cock buried deep in his slit, or his ass even, as they had started that a while back now. It was such a bliss at first, getting to experience the pleasures his flesh had to offer with such a gorgeous man and his... admittedly titanic length, and the way those flames turned a soft sapphire blue whenever he was the one bottoming was just the sweetest, most soothing and erotic sight he had placed his eyes upon in a while. Until they did it again, and again, and again...

Every single night ended the exact same way, with someone's dick going into one of their holes, with humps and grunts, moaning and heavy breathing, until they were turned into masses of sweating, heaving flesh left on top of one another in the middle of the night, only capable of enjoying a few hours of sleep at most. And it was amazing, exquisite even, and not a single time had the flaming dragon failed to bring him to his climax. But once that was done, once the afterglow vanished and he was left with a broad, sensual back to stare at next to him in his bed, he couldn't help but wonder if there was any more meaning to whatever they were doing. And seeing how casual the dragon was about it in public certainly didn't help matters in his head. Was that what he thought of it? That it was casual?

"Maurice!" again, he ended up brought back to his senses by the dragon's words, only this time his frown showed something different from the usual mirth you could find in his eyes. "Man, you've been spacing out a lot today, are you sure you're ok?" was he worried about him out of genuine concern, or just politeness? Maurice hated how he ended up doubting him so naturally, but every second he stayed silent was one more clue to what was going through his head, so he just nodded. "Well... If you say so. Hey, I was about to say that I should pick what we do next, since you said ice cream, but where do you wanna go next?"

He was asking him that again. Was that courtesy? Or was he asking honestly? Either way, that left Maurice with the task of thinking something he wouldn't find boring; that was the last thing he wanted to do! After all he had shown him... Ah, but was he now thinking of the sex alone? Then, who was using who for carnal pleasure alone? Fuck! Why did he have to be so complicated!? And to make matters worse, Xek was staring at him again, and was his frown growing deeper? Was he getting tired?

"There," in his panic, Maurice ended up pointing anywhere, and he followed his own finger's direction along with the fire dragon, hoping it wasn't anything weird or lame. But curse his luck, or perhaps his own subconscious tastes, he was pointing at an old bookstore tuckered in the mall's wall, practically empty save for a few admittedly sad-looking guys quietly checking the shelves and avoiding eye contact amongst one another. The speed with which his jaw fell on the floor wasn't natural.

"Hmmm... I sort of wish I could say I didn't think you were a bookworm, but you have all the flags of one," was that supposed to be a compliment? "Ah! I don't mean you're a nerd or anything as bad as the guys in there; but you know, cute, shy guy? You definitely look like the type to spend his time surrounded by books."

"I... wouldn't say 'surrounded'," he tried to defend himself, but there was hardly any point as the fire dragon was already making his way towards the shop, wiping the last bits of cookie off his hands; when had he even finished that cone!? Had he been off for so long, or was this just the fire drake being a glutton, much like he was around his leng- FUCK! "Xek! Wait for me!" he screamed as he rushed back to his date, gulping his ice cream in one go and hating himself over the brain freeze as he crossed the door.

The inside of the store was a lot brighter than the outside promised, with a couple of colored covers livening the place here and there. Not to mention how many eyes looked up at the flaming dragon the moment he entered, more than one pair of eyes lingering on him as he reached for a shelf to check. Maurice felt the sudden need to tell them to go packing, but was he in any position to do so when he was doubting what their relationship was? And to top it all off, those same thoughts were now keeping him from browsing through books! Dammi-

"Hey look, they have manga here," Xek's voice got him out in the middle of a mental swear and he felt so... cut... but looking at the innocent expression he saw the covers with, so unlike the thirsty eyes he always saw him with, was enough to soothe him back. "Check it out, I think they have old school stuff here. This is CLAMP stuff from before Sakura Cardcaptors. Oh, Dragonball! You know about those, don't you?" he said it with a nudge, but the way his eyes remained unchanged only added to that cute factor, making Maurice's blush somehow even stronger. And to top it all off, he just nonchalantly returned to checking the shelves, as if they hadn't just flirted out in the open like that, surrounded by a bunch of weirdos-

Immediately after that crossed his head, Maurice remembered the guys around them; and most of all, the way they stared at his date when he stepped inside, with the same kind of hunger he gave the flaming dragon whenever their dates ended and he saw him slowly remove his shirt, more than once with a pec bounce as a gift, the flames in his chest rising alongside his breathing and... And what happened next wasn't important, neither was the sudden stiffness inside his slit; what was important was that the exact same look was being thrown all around them, especially given how much attention the dragon brought over to him between the fire and his lewd comments. More than one looked at him, looked at Maurice as well, with shifty expressions, eyes quickly darting back only to return to them after a second, licking their lips, turning around to stretch their pants, and was that cute chubby tiger dude groping himself!?

"Hey! How about we leave!?" a very nervous Maurice grabbed Xek's flaming wrist, a copy of Devilman falling to the ground as he was roughly pushed through the door. With a final look back, the chocolate dragon saw as all the other guys stared at the two of them leaving, no doubt yearning for such pieces of meat to stay. Damn vultures. "Hisssssss," and with that, they all went back to their books, the door closing behind him and leaving that mysterious world as far behind as possible. "Phew... I mean, there was nothing interesting there, sorry. It was a bad idea, I'm full of those!" and he tried to pass it off with laughter, but the fire drake's expression said otherwise.

"Did you pull me out because of how they were looking at me?" well, fudge... "Dude, come on, it's not like they were subtle or anything. To be honest, as long as they don't try any creepy shit, I don't mind. It's kinda flattering, actually," and of course, Xek being Xek, he had to end his comment with a flex and a push that made his chest jump forward, the slightest bit out of his shirt. "But you know, the fact that you wanted to defend me from other guys is pretty flattering as well. Don't wanna share this, do you?"

Like hell he wanted to! Just a look at that hunk of a man was enough to get him going, and now he expected to share that with someone else? Those big muscles, that powerful chest and the thick, glorious arms that he wanted so bad to hold him through the night... But was he in any right to demand such a thing if they were really going casual? To begin with, what if Xek was saying all of this because he wanted to be shared?

"Ok now," a heavy hand fell on his shoulder and Maurice looked up- when had he turned his gaze down? The question fell unanswered when his eyes met with Xek's frown. "I'm not so dumb, you know. You tell me right now what's wrong, dude. I don't like seeing you like this. You're a lot cuter when you smile!" such a dumb thing to say, yet he said it with so much conviction, Maurice felt his heart skip a beat. As if he needed to fall any more for this guy. But in the end, his silence only got a sigh out of the fire drake. Was this the moment he got tired of him? "Well, it's my turn, so how about we go see a movie?"

"Eh?"

"Yeah. Being inside a book store got me in a mood to watch a bad adaptation. Maybe there's something going on, I haven't checked trailers in a while," the naturality with which he said it was almost worrisome, and the charming smile in his lips didn't help in the least, but he still grabbed his date's hand and gently pulled him away from the store, once again making the dragon walk with him, side by side, as the words left him. "Yeah, something really bad, like- Do you know about that Assassin's Creed movie? A flaming crash like that one! I feel like watching that. But hey, no sneak kissing and keep your hands to yourself; I don't want you thinking you can go crazy just because we're in the dark."

What exactly was going on!? Of all the things that could happen, the last he expected was... whatever this was! Acting like a legit, real couple... And the flame dragon being all cute about it, like he was cute about everything, like he made his heart flutter and his stomach turn in anxiety whenever he even thought about what to put on for their dates to keep him hooked because he didn't want him to leave. What was he doing? What did it all mean in the long run?

"Lucky there's not a big line," Maurice looked up and, somehow, they were already in the ticket line. Just how long did he always sink in his own thoughts? Forget Xek, that alone was enough to cause worry. Ah, but how could he forget Xek when those flames were so close to him, shining and trailing his eyes back up to the dragon, practically telling him to lean down on his shoulder simply because his pecs had to wait until more private times. "Also, being here means you can't just go away, because if you do, I'll chase after you and miss my spot, making you feel guilty, so you have no choice but answer to my questions."

"Wait, what?" Maurice's reaction only garnered a gentle laugh from his date, clearly subdued from the trollish, loud mirth he wanted to truly express. By now, it should be obvious that only got another pout from the chocolate one. "Stop that! You suck, you're the worst."

"What are you gonna do? Break up with me?" a bit of a nudge and he threatened to start laughing even louder, making Maurice pout again until the fire dragon stopped. "Ok, ok, for real this time... Tell me, while we wait here, what's up with you? Why are you so blue when we're on a date. Did I..." and then he stopped for a second, looking away. "Did I do something wrong?"

"What? No! Not at all! Where did that come from!?" and where did that come from indeed!? Suddenly, Maurice found himself in a role reversal, staring at the fire dragon as it was him gazing at the floor, if only for a moment, before returning a warm smile that couldn't hide the hint of shy regret behind it. Was that the same kind of look he had been giving all day? Had Xek been looking back at such a doubtful, worried expression all along? Just the thought that he was doing something like that to him... It was enough to make the words come out, slowly, shaky, but one by one... "I was... I was just, you know... I... wanted to know if you'd like to... Oh my god, I've just been wondering if you wanted to go past the casual and maybe be my... You know, my boyfriend..."

"...But I'm already your boyfriend," what. "Was that the issue? Pfft," and of all things, it was this that made Xek's laughter get loud enough to get more than a couple eyes focused on them, prompting the chocolate dragon to cover his snout. Which only made him laugh even harder. "Stop- Stop that, lord! Haha! Seriously, man? God... I mean, we've been dating for how long now? It's been months, we have great chemistry, we have awesome sex literally every night; you're practically living in my place! Hell, I already got you a drawer and all."

"You... You did?" that was easily what caused the deepest red on Maurice's face, and all he got from Xek was a chuckle and another kiss, getting another pout. "But... You just never said anything. We never talked about labels and stuff."

"Yeah... Yeah, we never did, did we? My bad, I guess," Maurice was about to say some other thing in response, another pout or something, when he was pulled against the massive chest, the heat from the flames hitting him on the face. It was soothing, and somewhere inside the crisp of the fire, he could feel the low, gentle beat of his date's heart. "I'm sorry you had to go through a bad time because of me. I'll try to avoid that. But you know, you should give me some help too. Don't feel like you can't tell me these things, ok? I'm your boyfriend, so don't feel like we can't talk."

"Yeah..." he liked the word.

"Alright then!" Xek stepped away, and only now did Maurice notice they had reached the end of the line. "So? What movie did you want to see?"

"Oh, um... Anything works, really," and he leaned against Xek, head resting on the fire dragon's shoulder, as he held his arm close. "I'm just happy to be with my boyfriend. Especially in a dark place."

"W-Wha..." to say Xek was shocked would be an understatement, and somehow the blush on his face managed to shine through the fire of his beard, barely able to hide the smile forming. "That's really gay, man..."
