#4 of Stable Love

Now that Darrin has been put through his paces by the ever-larger giant horses, it's time for a bit of aftercare with Roanoke, man's best friend.

Darrin fretted about the way the stairs creaked under his feet as he made his way to the second floor. He worried about the cracks in the wall and across the ceiling. The window in the upstairs hall was shattered, littering the wood floor with shards that glittered in the morning light. He stopped and stared at it, trying to still the thumping of his heart.

Behind him, Ronoake reached out to squeeze his shoulder. "Don't worry about any of that right now, master. Take a shower, and then I will help you clean things up!"

"Thanks, Roan." Darrin managed a small smile as he leaned back into the Shepherd's comforting touch. "I really appreciate that."

The giant dog's tail whipped behind him, thumping against the wall with a hard smack. Darrin couldn't help thinking that he was probably breaking the plaster. "My pleasure, sir."

Darrin forced his eyes away from the hallway and turned into the bathroom with Roanoke following close behind. The dog's footsteps made the floorboards creak alarmingly. His fur whispered against the walls and ceiling. How much feed had he eaten? Why hadn't he grown as big as any of the horses? Was he done changing? Was any of them?

He felt his heart racing again, and for a moment the room spun and went dark. Before he hit the floor, a pair of strong paws grabbed him and hefted him upright.

"Don't worry, sir. I've got you." Roanoke had ducked under the door frame, twisting to push half of his upper body into the bathroom. The room suddenly felt much smaller. "I'm not going to let you go."

"Thank you." Darrin rubbed Roanoke's broad forearm automatically, then looked past the bulk of his shoulders to the doorframe beyond. He was pretty sure the dog's middle wasn't pinched inside the opening a moment ago. "I think I've got it from here, though. Maybe you should wait outside."

"If you don't mind me saying so, you shouldn't be by yourself, sir. You can hardly stand up! Let me help you get clean; we'll be really fast so I don't break anything. I know you're worried about that." Roanoke's ears dipped down and his tongue lolled out of his mouth for a moment. "When we're done I'll go outside, and you can get some sleep on whichever bed you like."

Roanoke gently pushed Darrin back until he was sitting on the toilet, then squeezed himself into the bathroom. The enormous dog filled most of the room, his hulking shoulders pressed tight against the ceiling even with his oak-thick legs bent. One rippling arm reached past him to turn on the shower, and Darrin found himself staring at the way the canine's muscle bulged through thick fur all up and down that powerlifter's torso. His fur was a lot thicker than the horses', so the definition was obscured. But there was no doubt that the German Shepherd wielded an immense and functional strength.

Darrin closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths, trying to will his erection back down before Roanoke slipped back from the shower door. He felt like a horny teenager, getting turned on at the slightest provocation. He never would have considered being attracted to these animals if they weren't suddenly walking on two legs and able to hold a conversation with him; he felt he shouldn't be, even now. His whole world had been upended; life as he knew it was over. Beyond that, something truly miraculous had taken place, something that would change multiple fields of science forever. But so much of the day was spent fighting his lust. It was such an irrational reaction, he couldn't begin to understand it.

The sound of the shower door shuddering snapped Darrin back to himself. He blinked, finding himself staring back at Roanoke's grinning, panting muzzle. The dog's nostrils were flared; there was no way he couldn't scent the man's arousal. He didn't mention it, though; instead, he backed himself up to the entrance of the bathroom and curled up as small as possible to give Darrin space to get into the shower.

"There you go, sir. Not too hot, I think - I'm not sure what's going to burn you" He perked his ears curiously, the motion swiping bits of ceiling onto his head and shoulders.

"I'm sure it's just fine." Darrin smiled and stood - or tried to. His legs wobbled, knees refusing to hold up his weight. He reached desperately for the towel rack as he fell.

Roanoke was right there, far faster than expected for a being his size. One strong hand wrapped around the small of Darrin's back and gently pushed him forward towards he shower stall. Once the human recovered and stepped into the shower, the dog followed in close behind. He hunkered down into the small stall, instantly trapping Darrin right under the shower head with no room to maneuver.

"There. Now there's nowhere to fall except on me." Roanoke panted happily as he sat back on his haunches, water pelting his nose and front. The smell of wet dog filled the room, strong but not overwhelming. "And I won't let you fall too far."

A wave of relief and gratitude washed over Darrin. He was so tired. It was good to know that there was someone looking out for him. He didn't know if he had properly appreciated what a devoted companion Roanoke was.

He didn't know if these strong feelings were always there, or had been there in a different shape, or if they were entirely new. There had been no sure way to know what the animals thought or felt, but now there was no confusion. Miraculously, they thought and spoke just like him. Even still, could it ever be OK to have romantic or lustful feelings for a sapient creature outside of your own species? Because Darrin was sure now that he was harboring both.

"Thanks so much, Roan. You're a very good dog." Darrin let himself lean forward into the comforting mass of his companion. He paused for just a moment before he pressed his cheek against Roanoke's warm and barreled chest, filling his nostrils with the distinctive and heavy scent. He could feel the solid muscles shift beneath that thick pelt as Roanoke's tail thumped awkwardly in the cramped space.

"Thank you, master. That means a lot to me." Roanoke's rumbling voice was soft, but deep enough to echo through the bathroom. His body shifted again, pushing back against Darrin, who only responded by pressing in even closer. The Shepherd's large sheath pressed against the human's stomach, and then his chest with a noticeable pulse.

"Uhm...Darrin?" Roanoke whined, and Darrin opened his eyes. "I think something's happening to me."

The German Shepherd shuddered, and then surged. Darrin was slammed against the far wall as Roanoke grew. His head bumped the ceiling hard enough to put a sizable dent in it before he hunched forward, shoulders squeezing tighter and tighter against the stall door and the bathroom wall. He whimpered as he tried to find space that simply wasn't available, each passing second forcing him to scrunch into himself more tightly.

Darrin's eyes widened as a wall of black and tan fur bulged towards him, stretching around visibly thickening cords of muscle. He stood up on his toes and lifted his chin as Roanoke's knees slammed into the wall on either side of him and pushed through the tile, the pinkish-red spire of the dog's rising erection thumping against his chest, then his chin, then his lips.

"I'm sorry!" Roanoke whimpered as he squirmed. The muffled sound of tiles crunching were a constant noise between words "I'll get out of here!"

He turned to leave when another growth spurt hit. Roanoke yelped, the echo of it piercing Darrin's ears, as he grew right through the shower door and stepped down on the toilet bowl. The canine's thick toes spread on the ceramic before it shattered under his weight, tearing the pipe from the wall and flooding the tile almost instantly. He whimpered, bent double in the room, his back pushing insistently against the ceiling.

Darrin's heart raced as he struggled to think of some solution that wouldn't result in more damage to his house. Nothing came. He looked at the door, then at the Alsatian's legs; maybe one of them might be able to squeeze through the frame if he hurried, but the window of opportunity for that was rapidly closing. "I don't think you'll fit through the door," he said, his voice curiously flat. Maybe he was going into shock again.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry! I'm breaking your house!" The dog was panicked now, his legs pushing back against the shower wall while his head was looming over the door across the bathroom. He reached blindly for Darrin, one massive forearm curling around the smaller human immediately, and curled up around him.

Darrin felt Roanoke's thick, soft fur shifting and expanding all around him. The dog's large shaft bumped against his torso insistently, sliding against his side before bulging thicker, longer. It was as wide as his thigh at the base, and then wider than that, then even thicker as the tip rose up to plant itself between the barrel of his pecs. The cramped space grew hot and full of the canine's scent quickly. Darrin could hear the sound of tile breaking and support beams snapping under weight it had never been meant to handle. He could hear drywall cracking and collapsing.

The floor gave way after long seconds, a booming yelp announcing the 'short' fall of the dog as he landed on the first floor along with the wreckage of the bathroom. Roanoke's hands were big enough to cradle Darrin entirely against the underchannel of his throbbing shaft, and the Alsatian clutched the smaller man tightly. The canine's erection was big enough to push against Darrin's naked body, the knot filling over the bunched fur of his sheath. A thin stream of precum soaked through Darrin's scalp and ran down his back and shoulders.

He clutched tight, feeling that taut skin bounce and bulge between his fingers. He felt the shudder of multiple impacts through Roanoke's fingers, against the thickening column rising along his face, and then pulsing against his temple. Darrin imagined the scene that must have been unfolding; the outer walls bulging, then cracking to reveal black and brown fur, then simply falling against the expanding bulk of the huge canine. He was surprised to note that he wasn't as upset as he should be about his house. Perhaps, given the size of the horses, he knew that his home was on borrowed time to begin with.

When he took a breath, his lungs burned with the scent of the giant holding him. He nuzzled against Roanoke's cock, hands working along the sides of it as they drew further apart. The tip shuddered and thickened above his head now, lodged between the Shepherd's pecs as it climbed higher. Roanoke whimpered, though the tone had changed - worry had given way to reluctant, and then enthusiastic arousal. The dog's fingers squeezed the smaller human against his member, kneading Darrin's back and rump, sliding him up towards the oozing tip and settling him back down against the shockingly wide knot.

Darrin had no trouble succumbing to his own hormones. He recognized the pressure in his chest when that strange but undeniably masculine scent burned in his lungs; he knew now why he got so dizzy when he felt the rumble of the giant's moans thrumming through his skin. Just twelve hours ago he had collapsed on his couch after a hard day's work with a resigned contentment, knowing there were certain holes in his life that would never be filled. He woke up to the miracle that had done just that.

He closed his eyes and licked Roanoke's erection, feeling the skin tighten before it stretched under his tongue. The dog's heat was almost intense enough to bake him dry, but the constant river of pre made sure he wasn't. The tip was rising beyond his reach when he was brushed against the solid mass of Roanoke's base, and the Shepherd's pleasured woofs were deepening into thunderous booms that made the air around him tremble. He knew Roanoke had lost himself to his lust as well, the growth beginning to slow already. Darrin felt those enormous fingers growing a bit less with every pulse, even though they were still getting bigger.

Darrin tried to wrap his legs around the shaft of the canine, his knees forced to dig in at either side. His arms spread wide so he could hug it against himself even as the dog's hand kept him close. He felt trickle after trickle of scalding, musky fluid drip down his body, flushing it with a welcome heat. Every so often, he heard the sound of some heavy beam snapping under Roanoke or felt a rush of cool wind. He would remember distantly that he was outside, lifted over the wreckage of his own home.

A boom of a bark or the tremor caused by a thumping foot or tail also reminded him who he was with. He kissed the bulging underchannel in front of him, held his breath as his dog lifted him closer to the tapered point of his member. Roanoke was grunting constantly now, his tail wagging stiffly behind him, shattering support beams, the remains of walls or windows. Darrin knew that the giant was close somehow, or maybe he was just projecting the dull ache of his overworked scrotum or the pained pleasure of his own nearing climax.

He risked opening his eyes as he pushed over the yawning slit of Roanoke's member. He gaped at the sight of his faithful companion, now a rolling tower of black-and-tan fur, of solid worker's muscle. Even the thick pelt couldn't hide the rounded swell of the German Shepherd's biceps and pectorals, the bulk of his hulking shoulders, or the wide, mass-shortened neck. Above him, Roanoke's tongue had lolled from his muzzle, panting between fangs as long as his arm. The thick claws tipping the fingers that held him fast were huge and pointed, so close he could reach out and wrap a hand around one of their tips. To almost anyone else watching, Roanoke would be a fearsome monster. But Darrin wasn't afraid, not at all - he was in love.

He squeezed his eyes shut and cried out hoarsely, his body cresting over into orgasm yet again. Roanoke must have heard him; he was wrapped tighter in the coil of the dog's fingers, almost bent over the tip of that bouncing erection. There was another loud, piercing whine; Darrin was dimly aware of his perch shifting through the edges of his own climax. His body lurched and shuddered as he came, brushing against the canine's sensitive tip. Behind him, fingers thicker than his thigh squeezed.

The small red tree he was curled over bucked, and then his eardrums fluttered from the sheer volume of Roanoke's howl. What little light there was disappeared under the shadow of three gigantic horses as they watched the German Shepherd fall back on the remains of Darrin's house, his climax surging powerfully.

Darrin just managed to see Apollo, Achilles and Atlas looming overhead before he was nearly drowned again. The last thing he caught was the amused and curious faces of the titans before everything went white. Roanoke arched his hips with each spurt of seed, thick ribbons of it spraying out between his fingers at odd angles, splashing down on broken wood, concrete and glass, on heaving fur. Between shocks Roanoke collapsed back to the ground, his powerful rear cracking, then shattering the home's foundation.

Roanoke stopped suddenly, falling back to the ground and going still as his shaft kept pulsing weaker and weaker floods over Darrin. The 'little' human brushed himself against the leather of his dog's fingertip and opened his eyes carefully. The German Shepherd must have been sixty feet tall if he was an inch, with a shaft the size of a young tree. The knot at the bottom was wider than Darrin's shoulders by at least a foot, with the remaining girth more than broad enough for his arms. Darrin kept trying to hug it, though, pressing his chest against the thumping, sticky member.

In the aftermath of Roanoke's growth spurt and climax, the only sounds were the roars of the giants all around him. Darrin's nose was assaulted with the combined scent of horse and dog; his body was jolted by the steady, localized earthquakes of their heartbeats. Then, suddenly, the world around him erupted into whinnies and applause. Darrin clapped his hands over his ears and curled up in Roanoke's paw, while the giant Alsatian roused himself out of his afterglow.

"Well done!" Achilles boomed.

"Good job little pup!" Atlas' voice was so deep and loud, Darrin had trouble making out what he said.

"And all this time I was sure I would be the one to break Darrin's house." Apollo's grin could be heard through his tone, but the joke still drew a whimper from Roanoke.

"I...I can't believe I broke the master's house! Are...are you made at me, Darrin? Was I a bad dog?" Roanoke rubbed at his knot almost absently, as if to soothe himself.

"No, of course not!" Darrin was quick to reassure, patting the red tower he was sprawled on. "You're a very, very good boy."

Roanoke's tail wagged between his mountainous legs, smashing what remained of his living room wall into splinters. Darrin chuckled and spread himself flat, allowing a profound exhaustion to wash over him.

"I can't see the Bravermans being too happy with what we did to their barn and enclosures, though." Apollo rose with a sigh; the sight of the thoroughbred looming was enough to get Darrin to open his eyes. He wasn't sure he would ever get tired of it. "There's nothing but craters and cum everywhere."

"So? It's our territory now. We've marked it." Atlas lowered himself to sit as carefully as he could manage. "They get to claim us as property; it's only right that we get to claim ours too."

"I don't know if they'll see it that way, Atlas." Achilles flicked an ear, watching both the larger Clydesdale and the smaller dog. "But I'm sure we'll come to some agreement. We'll work much better as friends than enemies."

Darrin grinned, lazily. "That's right. You boys should be lovers, not fighters."

"I'd like that. It's a lot more fun." Roanoke panted, his boxy nose snuffling down at Darrin.

Darrin finally lifted himself up, sitting back against his giant dog's leathery palm. "It is, isn't it? I'm not going to lie...this is....this is a lot. We're going to have to work pretty hard to make this OK. But we can do it. I'll protect you, and I'll advocate for you, and I know you guys have my back when things get out of hand. Between the five of us, we've got things covered."

The horses nickered their agreement as they regarded the tiny human with a mixture of love and amusement. Darrin looked at all of them with an exhausted contentment. It didn't make any sense that it would take the upending of everything he knew to reach this level of clarity, but there it was. Nothing was settled, except for the way he felt about these fantastic animals.
