Chapter 15

Marin sat on her bed packing her suitcase thinking about what has happened over the last few months. She was wearing her favorite blue T-shirt and matching jeans. Julie has not called since her last visit and Marin knew she was angry and did not blame her.

"All Sakura wanted was to be loved and have a normal life. I ruined her life and now she is sterile. I have to try to make things right." Marin thought to herself.

There are three ways to fix a female fur but fixing a female fur was risky. There was an 85 % chance of the fur dying either if she was spayed or had her tubes tied. The only safe way to do it was to given her a dose of Reaper. Reaper was a drug designed for the sole purpose of sterilizing female furs.

Once ingested or injected it kills all of the female eggs cells and causes her to go into menopause regardless of age and if the fur is pregnant she will lose her baby. Slave fur owners use this drug to punish defiant female furs. They only need to the take drug once and the effect is permanent. Marin knew that was how Sakura got fixed and that only made her feel worse. As she continued to pack she heard Ken slam the door as he stormed into the house. He was always in a bad mood lately. He walked into the bedroom wearing a black T- shirt and black jeans to match his black fur.

"I can't believe Sakura is courting a human. Hasn't she humiliated us enough?" he growled.

"I think it is sweet that she found someone who truly loves her. Julie seems to have taken a special liking to him as well." Marin said.

"Do you realize what this is going to do to our reputation?! We will be a laughing stock!" he shouted

"I don't care anymore! Sakura was our daughter and we threw her away like she was a piece of garbage! She will never have pups and it's our entire fault! I owe her an apology and so do you." Marin said anger in her voice.

"I don't owe that disgrace anything. She got what she deserved." Ken said in a smug tone.

How can you say that?! No one deserves to go through what she went through. Marin said.

"She is a failure and a disappointment. It would have better if she was never born." he said with that same smug tone.

Marin had heard enough. She threw her mate ship ring on the floor and crushed it with her foot. Ken was furious. He tried to punch her in the face but she caught his fist with one paw and kicked him in the ribs knocking the wolf to the ground whining in pain. (Anthro Huskies are very strong. They can kick harder than a small horse and can punch through a brick wall with little effort.)

"It's over Ken. You are a selfish bastured. Listening to you was the biggest mistake of my life and it cost me my daughter. I don't care about fame and fortune anymore. I just want her back. I want to be the mother she deserves." Marin said holding back tears.

Before Ken could respond she packed her suit case and left. It only took her 20 minutes to get the airport. It didn't take long for her to buy her ticket and board the plane. As the plane started to take off she noticed a winged figure fly over the air port but thought nothing of it. As far as she was concerned it was Ken's problem now.....

Chapter 16

Kira landed on the city boarder. He was wearing his black battle armor and had his nodachi drawn and at the ready. His target was the Alpha of this sector. As he walked through the town he heard the canines and lupines whispering amongst themselves.

This city is the perfect place to test the F.T.S (Fur Termination System) he thought to himself.

When he finally got to Ken's house he wasted no time killing the guards. Then he picked up Ken's scent. It was an odd scent. It was both familiar and different. This made the dragon curious. He walked through the house listening for any sign of his target. Kira loved it when his targets hid from him. It made the hunt more fun when he finally catches his prey. Suddenly two armed male wolves stormed into the house with their guns drawn. Kira knew they were police officers turned to face them and grinned.

"Get on the ground or we'll shoot" one of them said.

Kira didn't respond. He started walking towards them. The officers took a step pack and started to shoot. Kira charged at them deflecting every shot with his sword. He ran one of them through the chest killing him instantly. The other wolf looked on in horror as his partner's lifeless body dangled from the blade as if it was a meat kabob roasting on a grill. Kira slowly pulled his sword out of the dead wolf and turned his attention to remaining one. Be he could even move or call for back up Kira sliced the wolf down the middle cutting him in half. Kira the heard foot step coming from another room and went to investigate. He found a door that reeked of that odd scent and broke it down. As he stepped into the room he found the source the scent on the other side.

Ken watched the dragon as he entered the room. He knew he couldn't fight this dragon and if he tried to run he would be cut down. Kira's sword was very large. The blade by itself was four feet long. Ken knew what kind of sword the dragon was using and that made him even more scared. Using a nodachi indoors was difficult and it took great skill to wield such a weapon.

"You're the dragon who destroyed the eastern fur sector and that beach." Ken said.

"So you've heard of me. Then you know why I'm here. But before I kill you I would like to now something. Why is your scent similar to that of the wolf dog Sakura? Are you related?" Kira asked.

"Yes unfortunately and if you spare me I will tell you where she is I will even hunt her down and kill her for you." Ken said hoping to strike a deal.

Kira like most dragons love to trade and make deals. So hearing this wolf trying to make a deal with him was amusing.

Sorry but I already know where to she is and I can dispose of her when ever the mood suits me. You are too old to be her sibling so that means you are hear father. I don't know why you would sell out your own offspring but that is of no importance to me. It's time for you to meet your end." Kira said with a wicked smile.

Kira grabbed the side of the wolf head and pinned him against the wall. Ken tried to break free but to no avail. He then tried to scream for help but the room was sound proof.

"Why are you screaming? I haven't even started yet." Kira whispered in Ken's ear.

He then picked Ken up by the neck and held him off the ground.

"I had fun hunting you down wolf farewell." Kira said as his paw started to glow.

Ken screamed in pure agony as his body was being slowly engulfed by black fire. Kira let go of the wolf's neck and watch with great amusement as the wolf tried to put out the fire.

"That isn't ordinary fire wolf. It will keep burning your body until you are dead." Kira said with a smirk.

After a few minutes rolling around and screaming Ken became still and lifeless and the black fire disappeared leaving his body a charred heap. Kira started to pant heavily from exhaustion and fell to his knees and cough up a little blood. He then heard his com link go off and knew it was Thorn. He pushed a few buttons and a holographic image of the smaller dragon appeared.

"Father the F.T.S is armed and ready but it is only at 50% power." Thorn said.

"The power level doesn't matter we just need to make sure that it is working properly." Kira wheezed.

"Father you know what happens we you use your powers too much." Thorn said.

"I know. It leaves me severely weakened afterwards." Kira said coughing.

"The ship is coming out of cloaking now Thorn out." Thorn said as he shut of his com link.

Kira watched as a giant flying fortress came out of the clouds. It looked like a floating castle and it was the size of a small city. It was armed with many auto turrets and a long cannon barrel on the bottom that was about two meters wide. Kira took off into the air and boarded the ship. After boarding he went to see the captain. The captain was large monitor lizard with black scales wearing a navy blue uniform.

"What's the situation captain?" Kira asked

"The weapon charged at ready for the test sir. But sir the city is rather small so the results might be inconclusive." The captain responded

"Will it kill them all?" Kira asked impatiently.

"Yes sir it will" the captain said in a fearful tone.

"Then activate the system." Kira said

The captain nodded and gave the order and the crew activated the system. All the furs in the city looked at the sky with fear as the flying fortress came into view. Sudden a small energy bomb hit the ground causing a massive explosion that engulfed the whole city. When the smoke finally cleared the city was in ruins and all of the furs were nothing but skeletons. The F.T.S is a bio weapon that destroy the Fur's DNA. The energy from the weapon disintegrates the fur's flesh and leaves nothing but the bones.

"All targets are neutralized sir. No one escaped but it will be few weeks before the system is at full power." one of the troops said.

"Okay then." Kira said as he left to his quarters.

Chapter 17

Kiyo, Julie and I were watching a movie that Kiyo found on his DVD shelf. I noticed that when ever Julie was around Kiyo she would act different. She always wore very tight shirts and tight mini shorts when ever she came to visit. She was always friendly with him and always trying to stay near him with her tail wagging a mile a minute. I knew Julie liked him as a friend but now it looks like she starting to fall for him not that I can blame her. I still remember what happened last time we fell in love with the same male and it didn't end well. But I trust Kiyo and I know Julie wouldn't try to steal him away. If she wanted to steal Kiyo she would have tried by now. By law of the canine he can have two mates instead of one but all three must agree to it willingly.

As we watched the movie there was a knock the door. I wondered who was at the door. Kiyo got the door and I heard him talking to someone in the next room.

"If you really want to talk to her then go ahead."

"Thank you."

That is when my mother walked in. I jumped off of the the couch with my claw drawn and baring my teeth.

"You have a lot of guts to come here and show face." I growled.

"Sakura I know how you feel and I know I'm last person you want to see...." Marin said sadly.

"YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW I FEEL OR WHAT I WENT THROUGH! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE REAPER DRUG'S SIDE EFFECTS ARE! I WENT THROUGH FOUR MONTHS OF INTERNAL PAIN! THE ONLY TIME I EVER GOT RELIEF FROM IT WAS WHEN I WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS BY MY OWNER BECAUSE HE COULDN'T STAND MY SCREAMING ANYMORE!" I screamed on the verdge of tears.

Marin lowered her ears and her tail went between her legs. She knew what Reaper did to to females but had no idea about the side effects.

Sakura I can't tell you how sorry I am. I chose riches and glory over my own daughter. All you wanted to do was live a normal life and have a family that loves you but I pushed you away and treated you like a criminal. I'm sorry for all of it. Please give me another chance.....Please let me be the mother you deserve......she said as she started shed a few tears.

I could tell by the look in her eyes that she meant every word but I wasn't sure whether I really could forgive her.

"Can you give us a few minutes please?" I asked

My mother nodded and went into the kitchen

"Kiyo I know she isn't laying but I am not sure if I can forgive her. What should I do?" I asked.

"I can't tell you what to do Sakura. It is your choice." he said.

"Sakura she isn't wearing her mateship ring. I think dad left her." Julie said

"I want to findout what happened to dad before I make my decision. I said as I went into the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen to find out what happened since my last visit. I decided to get straight to the point.

Why aren't you wearing your mateship ring? I asked.

"Your father said you were a disgrace and you deserved what happened to you.....So I left him......Then he tried to hit me." She said sadly.

"You gave up everything just for me?" I asked trying not to cry.

"It wasn't worth it. No amount of riches and glory is worth more than my child. I am just sorry it took me so long realize that. I just want my daughter back ..." she said with tears flowing from her eyes.

After hearing that I made my up my mind. I started walk over to her. She must have thought I was going to hit her because she started to flinch. I hugged her tightly.

"I forgive you mom." I said quietly

She couldn't hold it in any longer. She threw her arms around me and broke down sobbing. We held each other for what felt like hours but I didn't care. I finally have what I have been missing. I finally have a family.......
