-PREVIOUSLY ON DRAGON STORM-

Elsewhere in fur Dreams city, a large group of D.E.O. soldiers walked. They had every type of weapon you could ever wish for. They all wore their signature blue D.E.O. uniforms and I.D.s. Just then, they all rushed out of the way and made room for their captain. They saluted him while standing completely still. They stood in this fashion not even so much as blinking.

"Out of my way noobs! Never send a amateur to do a captain's job!"

"Captain! Captain!" A black dragon ran up to the captain out of breath.

"What is it now?" The captain said while taking out his Ipod touch.

"It looks like the war-mech we sent out never came back, in fact... it was destroyed!" The black dragon said in between breathes.

"What!? How is that-" That was all the captain could get out before another dragon interrupted him.

"Captain Jazz! Its the small group of robots we sent out... they... they are all gone! Not even a single one left!" The brown dragon exclaimed.

"What the!? Interesting... fine. You have my authorization to release the LV. 2 war-mechs! I don't know what's going on in this city, but that Phantom dragon must be stopped. It's the only reason why we are here in the first place! Let's capture it and take it back to the D.E.O.!" Captain Jazz said firmly while inputting a code on his Ipod touch and laughing evilly.

OPENING#3:

I realize the screaming pain

CHAPTER 37: Kill or be Killed: Panic in Fur Dreams City!

• 1792, the restricted zone -

"Man, that was a big apartment complex!" Wade said.

"Stop whining." Tia said in her lean voice.

"1792? Are you sure we can get through this street?" Wade asked.

Just then, another aircraft war-mech flew by with an air strike and dropped countless bombs. It destroyed a car dealership with ease and sent all the cars on the lot for display up into the air and some of the cars even exploded. Tia began to make a mad dash past the entire ruble and she even had to climb over a wall of debri. Wade followed close behind her and covered the rear. When they both climbed over, they both couldn't believe their own eyes.

"Unbelievable. This place is a war zone." Wade said.

Suddenly, a few more air strikes came seemingly from nowhere. The first one was a machine gun being fired and put a few hole in the pavement. It even set off a fire hydrant; which sent water cascading high into the air. The second was another bomb; which caused a massive explosion to a gas station.

" I don't like low-flying things trying to kill me!" Wade said in panic.

Just then, another air strike bombed a train bridge; which blockaded them from going back the way they came. Tia and Wade quickly made another mad dash toward a building that was stay in tact. They both peeked out to see more patrol guards, like the ones on the train.

" Not wanting to get a death sentence I get. But taking on trained soldiers?" Wade asked.

"Better to die out here then get sent to the D.E.O. It's hell without the brimstone." Tia snapped back.

"Yeah, well hell's not sounding too bad. Because this place isn't exactly paradise anymore." Wade replied.

"Hm? I see..." Tia said.

She spotted a new creature out of the corner of her eye and decided to inform Wade. The new creature walked around with its machine-like feral outlook. Because she knew Wade was going to ask her anyway, so she figured she might as well get it over with.

"Domesticated peacekeepers. Nothing to worry about." Tia explained.

"That's their way of letting us know that they are playing for keeps now, Tia." Wade stated.

"Charge!" Tia shouted and dashed into the fray.

"Hey!" Wade said and followed.

Suddenly, the two feral-like machines dashed toward them both. Wade just teleported out of the way and used his machine pistol while Tia disarmed the patrol guard and shot at the creatures with Wade. The battle ended rather quickly and they began walking further down the street again.

Tia and Wade came to a half destroyed building and scaled its walls to find themselves on the roof. Not one second later did another patrol guard showed up. However, unlike before a patrol guard with a jetpack on his back came swooping down. Wade took out his sword and sliced his jetpack off while Tia disposed of the ground patrol guard. Again it was another flawless victory for them both.

After their battle they heard a massive roar and they both ducked and looked over to see a giant serpent-like creature. It was blinded by absolute rage and hatred. It easily took out a nearby bar and a small team of patrol guards in one tail swipe.

"No way... it took out all 25 trained soldiers... just... like that?" Wade asked in fear.

"........................" Tia remained silent.

"Murder. Cold-blooded murder." Wade said.

They both waited for the giant serpent creature to slither away before heading further down the road. They both saw a patrol guard and a feral machine creature and thought they could ambush them, but they turned around and dashed at them.

"Well, so much for the element of surprise." Wade said.

Tia used the assault rifle she still had from disarming the last patrol guard and disposed of them both before Wade could even react.

"Wow. Now if only you could do that every time." Wade said.

"Hmph. Too bad." Tia said in a lean voice and threw her weapon down in disgust because of it running out of ammo.

Suddenly, a giant bomb from an air strike crashed into a nearby Bosten market restaurant and the explosion was so extremely enormous that the shock waves actually destroyed the surrounding buildings. When the explosion cleared nothing was left. They could no longer go down the street they were on because of the giant gapping hole that led to a bottomless pit.

"OH NO! What do we do now? Should we turn back?" Wade asked in shock.

"There's no time!" Tia said firmly.

"Then what should w-" Wade tried to say but was interrupted.

"Quiet!" Tia said and walked toward the edge.

"Hey! That might get us across! Right there! Right?" Wade said while pointing at a badly damaged crack in the side of a building.

"Looks that way." Tia agreed.

Tia then walked to the building and used her G.O.N. just like before. Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light and then the building fell over, making a bridge across the giant hole. They both walked across quickly before an air strike came and quickly found themselves in a small village titled, Winter Fur park village. They walked in taking cover behind various building and cars, trying to stay out of sight.

"Hm? Deportees, are we?" Dragon Enforcer asked and dashed at them both.

"Busted!" Tia shouted.

"Why couldn't we specialize at infiltration or something?" Wade said and let out a sigh.

"Weapons down! I'd hate for this to turn ugly." Dragon enforcer said.

"Un... "Turn ugly"?" Wade asked.

"He wants to kill us without a fight." Tia said taking her blade out again.

Suddenly, the Dragon Enforcer member took out his AR-15 assault rifle and opened fire at Tia, but Tia countered by using her G.O.N. to form a solid wall of earth in front of her. Meanwhile, Wade teleported over by the Dragon Enforcer and had a firefight. Wade shot his machine pistol while the Dragon Enforcer shot his AR-15. Wade kept teleporting out of harm's way while the Dragon Enforcer ducked and dived to safety, but that didn't save him for long. He had forgotten about Tia, as she was no longer behind the wall anymore, but rather she had flanked him and disarmed him. Wade appeared next to him from the other side and knocked him out cold.

"Took care of him." Tia said.

"Man, the D.E.O. members don't play, huh? They have bigger guns and know how to fight back better!" Wade said.

"Hmph. Who cares." Tia said.

"So, solider... what's your motive?" Wade asked while they walked further into the village park.

"....................................." Tia remained silent and proceeded to walk.

"What, is it classified military info? What's it matter? You quit, didn't you?" Wade asked curiously.

"................................." Tia remained silent.

"You think I'm gonna go out there and just tell everybody your little secret?" Wade added.

" The international Furlando airport." Tia said.

"Hm?" Wade asked.

"My "motive", I'm after an airship from the D.E.O. at the international Furlando Airport!" Tia stated firmly.

"This is suicide! No one has ever been able to put up a fight for very long against the D.E.O.!" Wade said while taking a step back, his tail now between his legs.

"Hmph. I will have my revenge! ... Still happy you tagged along?" Tia said and walked off.

"Didn't have a choice..." Wade said and followed Tia while listening to a verbal message on nearby speakers all round the city.

"On behalf of Fur Dreams citizens... I would like to thank our brave Fur Dreams patrol... and express our best wishes for a successful relocation. Your noble and selfless sacrifice... ensures the continued safety and peace of our society.

======================= (Meanwhile) ============================

• Castle berry, the resistance front -

" Were it not for this remarkable gesture... every resident of Fur Dreams city... your family, your friends, your neighbors... would be exposed to the endless dangers of the outside world. By choosing to leave Fur Dreams city... and participating in this migration-" Jazz's speech was cut short in this area because of a certain fur that didn't feel like listening anymore.

"Blah! Enough of this!"

" "Migration"? More like "extermination"!"

"Shadow!"

"I'm sorry Kazeron! I didn't mean to." Shadow said.

"These Furs need heroes!" Kazeron said and swung his giant mallet down on the ground.

"We want to fight too!" A fox said from behind them rubbing his nose from Tia punching it.

"We almost didn't make it off the train and you want to put all of our lives on the line!?" A female lion said.

There was a group of Furs behind them that were all passengers off the train. Tia had set them free, but now they were on their own until they found Master Kazeron. A legendary teacher and trainer. He could easily make you strong in just a few days. There was a couple that hugged each other, holding each other close, afraid of the mess they found themselves in. While the rest of the group all had firearms and were ready to fight back.

"You keep your cool, and they will too." Kazeron said with a smile.

"Okay!" Shadow said.

"All right, Shadow! You know the plan, I'll be back later." Kazeron said and walked off passing by all the furs they had tailing them.

" It's not fair! We didn't do anything wrong!" A cheetah said.

"Its over... all over..." An elk said.

"I don't wanna die!" A monkey said.

"But we are just going to die anyway! What's the point!?" A wolf said.

"We should have never fought back..." A hawk said.

"Waaahhhh!! I wanna go home!!" A small puppy cried.

Kazeron made his way to the front of the group and left Shadow in charge of the back. He spotted his two newest trainees and walked up to them both.

" Kai, Bris!" Kazeron said.

"Kazeron, how is the rear holding up, my fur?" Kai asked all goofy-like.

"It's holding up okay, for now... and the front?" Kazeron asked.

" Everything is fine up here!" Bris said.

"Our enemy's the D.E.O.! Their dreaded War-mechs, no less." Kazeron said.

"What's to dread, silly? The D.E.O.'s nothing but a whole bunch of bluster and bullying. They got nothing on us, Master Kazeron, my fur!" Kai said confidently.

"Well, we are the heroes after all." Bris said.

"Let's prove it! Here they come!" Kazeron said with excitement.

Suddenly, two patrol guards dashed at them all and opened fire. However, Kai, as silly as he was, used his aura G.O.N. and covered his whole team in a mid-night blue wave of aura and deflected all the incoming bullets. Kazeron then slammed his giant mallet on the ground and made the two-patrol guards trip. Finally, Bris picked them off with his assault rifle.

" The D.E.O. are going to pay for what they did to Fur Dreams!" Kazeron said.

"Whew! There are soldiers everywhere, my furs!" Kai said in his usual goofy voice.

Bris took this time to take in Kai's features. A gray wolf with gray spiky hair and brown eyes coming in at 6'0 feet in height. He also noticed his tribal tattoo on his upper left arm. It wasn't hard to miss because he was wearing a black tank-top and black kickboxing shorts with green tribal markings on it. He also noticed Kai's black fingerless gloves with aura emitting from his hands. He was interested in Kai's armor pieces though, he wore an armor pad on his right arm and left leg. He then noticed Kai's metal shoes that could act as a powerful shield. All the metal armor pieces seemed to be made out of a powerful alloy as well.

"Hey Kai? Where are they?" Bris asked.

"Eh? Where is what, my fur?" Kai asked back.

"I know you are hiding your weapons. I can tell just by looking at you, even though we just met." Bris added and ran his fingers through his brown hair.

"Oh? You're a smart cookie, my fur!" Kai said and then snapped his fingers and two pistols appeared instantly out of nowhere in his hands.

" Well, that just means my super intelligence G.O.N. is functioning properly." Bris stated calmly.

Kai then took in bris's features. A light gray wolf with brown spiky hair and a little white fur sticking out from under his black shirt. He also wore a silver chain around his neck and cargo pants. Kai could tell just by looking at him that he was extremely loyal and very calm. It was no wonder Kazeron trained him under his wing. He then noticed Bris's H & K G36 assault rifle. He was surprised to see him with a germen weapon in a resistance force like this.

" Look! The patrol guards are engaging the D.E.O. members!" Kazeron said.

" NO! Look more closely! Only one of them is!" Bris said as he quickly analyzed.

A group of three patrol guards were talking with three members of the D.E.O. when suddenly, one of the Fur Dreams patrol guards quickly shot at his own men and then grabbed one of the D.E.O. members and used him as a shield. The other two D.E.O. members shot at him, but he blocked them with the body and quickly pulled out a scythe and with its long range, swiped both of the D.E.O. members. They were bleeding heavily, but not dead. The patrol guard quickly pointed his scythe at them both and fired an explosive at them both, thus killing them. In the aftermath of the explosion the patrol guard took off his helmet to reveal his face. It was a purple-faced dragon with long black hair.

"Phew! Now's my chance to get out of here!" The dragon said and ran off.

"What was all that about?" Kai asked in confusion.

"Don't you get it? That must be the Phantom Dragon the D.E.O. is looking for!" Bris concluded.

"How so?" Kazeron asked.

"Because of the way it ran off like that, as if to be in a hurry somewhere. Also, it was wearing a disguise to hide itself from them." Bris summarized.

"Ohhhh, my fur." Kai said.

"In other words... if we can capture that Phantom Dragon that the D.E.O. are after, then they will leave and Fur Dreams will stop being destroyed!" Bris explained.

"Your right. It's the D.E.O.'s fault Fur Dreams is like this, because of the red alert emergency code being authorized. Now they are doing anything in their power to find and capture the Phantom Dragon that has been spotted somewhere in Fur Dreams city." Kai said.

" Very well. Leave the rest to me up here! Go scout up ahead and give us a path! I'm counting on you two!" Kazeron said with a smile.

They both nodded and waved as they walked ahead of the group and found themselves in an even more destroyed area then the last. Tons of debri was lying around, while certain objects were on fire. The roads were unrecognizable and obliterated. This area was even more dimly lit and they even read a faded sign that read, Maitland.

"Yo Bris, what's the plan, my fur?" Kai asked.

" Charge in, guns blazing." Bris said.

"Hey, my fur, that's not a plan!" Kai said.

" Real heroes don't need plans." Bris said.

"Okay, my fur, lets hit 'em hard and hit' em again!" Kai said.

Suddenly, a mid-sized group of patrol guards came from behind buildings and rushed at them. Kai used his aura G.O.N. to charge up a giant sphere and hurl it at three patrol guards, knocking them all out. Meanwhile Bris picked the rest of them off while using Kai as a shield since he had on armor pieces.

"Too easy. None of which were that Phantom Dragon we just saw... I guess he got away." Bris said.

"Hey look, my fur! More furs!" Kai said and pointed.

"We want to help too!" A dog said.

"It's only right, it's our home too!" A dingo said.

"We heard there is a resistance group somewhere!" A duck said.

"..................." A cloaked dragon remained silent.

"Okay, I guess it couldn't help! The resistance group is a little ways behind us." Bris said.

"Okay!" The dog said and they all followed, except for the dragon.

"Hm? Why aren't you going with them, my fur?" Kai asked the cloaked dragon.

"I am looking for my son, I don't need to do anything else except find him!" The dragon said and removed her cloak to reveal a plain silver dragon.

"Okay, my fur, what's your name?" Kai asked.

"Its Julie." Julie said.

"Are you sure?" Bris asked.

"Don't worry, moms are tough!" Julie said.

Suddenly, the giant serpent that was seen earlier emerged from out of nowhere and crashed into buildings. It roared as loud as it could in unbearable pain and suffering. Its greenish gold scales reflecting what little light the area had. The serpent was enormous; it must have been at least 20 feet long slithering with insane speeds.

"Holy furs!" Kai shouted.

"What the hell is that!?" Bris asked in shock.

"No time to run!" Julie said.

Just then, Kai used his aura G.O.N. to put a protective wall between them. Julie and Bris shot at the giant serpent creature, but it seemed to be having no effect whatsoever. They fired and fired and fired, but the creature was still slithering toward them unfazed and roaring. The giant serpent then used one of it's claws to attack them all. Bris quickly used his super intelligence G.O.N. and estimated where it would land and informed everyone to dodge right away. Just as Bris had planed, the serpent's claw hit where they were standing and they all repeated their defensive formation.

"Why isn't this monster dead yet!?" Bris asked in shock.

Suddenly, the massive serpent used its claw to strike at Kai, but Kai blocked it with his aura. He struggled against the serpent's power, but held his own. Meanwhile, the out of control serpent used its long tail to swipe down onto Bris. Bris couldn't figure a way out of the attack and just closed his eyes and waited for everything to end quickly. However, after Bris waited a few seconds, he opened his eyes and gasped.

"Its you!" Bris said with excitement.

"The name's Falx. Maybe now you will stop stalking me." Falx said as he blocked the tail with his scythe and struggled against the serpent's might.

"Why are you helping me, Phantom Dragon!?" Bris asked.

"Ahhhhhhh!!! A Phantom....!" Julie screamed in fear.

" I think you have bigger things to worry about!" Falx said and blasted the serpent with a powerful explosive from the tip of his scythe.

"A scythe gun? Not bad, my fur." Kai said and jumped back.

"Hey you, Bris was it? Isn't your specialty using your brain?" Falx asked.

"Umm... yeah... okay, give me some time to find its weak point!" Bris said.

With that said, the giant serpent spit out what seemed like thousands of acid blobs. They were sent in every direction and melted everything they touched instantly. All the acid blobs flew and hurled toward everyone and everything, had it not been for Kai's protective aura wall, they all would be dead right now. Suddenly, Kai began to charge up what looked to be his most powerful attack. Swirls of mid-night blue aura surrounded him quickly and proceeded to build up. Falx decided to give him some time and dashed out to slice the serpent on the tail, but it was no use. Falx must have sliced at it for what seemed like minutes and all of his attacks from his scythe did no damage. Just then, the giant serpent smacked Falx with his tail, but not before he blocked it with his scythe. This sent Falx skidding into a nearby building, as he was powerless to stop the sheer force of the serpent's tail swipe.

"CHEW ON THIS, MY FUR!!!" Kai yelled and blasted his most powerful aura attack.

Kai had managed to power up and blast an extremely massive and very powerful beam of mid-night blue aura. The serpent, without thinking, crossed its arms and used its scales to protect its face, which is where Kai had aimed the beam. Kai was completely out of quintessence and fell to the ground quickly. He could not believe that his most powerful attack, which was capable of destroying a moon, was blocked with very little effort. He panted and grunted at his defeat and struggled to look up in pain. Meanwhile, Falx emerged from the building he was smacked into and walked out with his blood running down his face.

"Bris... have you located its weak point yet?" Falx asked firmly.

"Yes! It has none!" Bris said.

"What the hell!? What have you been doing?" Falx asked in a lean tone of voice.

"However... even though we may not be able to defeat it, doesn't mean it can't be stopped! If you can just get it to attack you over there one more time Falx!" Bris concluded and pointed.

"Ah, I see... we'll use..." Falx said as he dashed over to where Bris pointed.

Just then the giant serpent let out another battle cry and used its long tail to strike out at Falx once again, but this time Falx was prepared and at the last second he dodged the tail and landed a few feet back and watched the massive serpent creature roar loudly.

"THE FOUNDATION!!!" Falx yelled and watched as the spot where the serpent stroked, now begin to fall apart and crumble.

======================= (Meanwhile) ============================

"Mom! Mom, where are you? Huh?" The small dragon covered in a cloak said while spotting a huge serpent creature and jumping back in complete fear. He quickly placed his binoculars over his eyes to get a better view.

======================= (Meanwhile) ============================

It didn't take long before the whole area where they all were fighting to stay alive from the serpent's devastating attacks, began to crumble and fall apart from right under them. The cars on the street fell, and then the buildings began to fall as well. One by one, everything began to fall. Bris's plan was working. Soon after everything proceeded to fall down into the giant hole that continued to grow bigger, the giant serpent got stuck and started to fall into the growing hole in the pavement. It roared one last time as it swung its tail at Kai and fell through the hole with a bottomless pit. However, Bris grabbed and threw Kai out of the way and out of harms way. Meanwhile, Falx saw what the serpent was really aiming for, Julie. Falx tried to rush over to Julie, but it was no use, he wasn't fast enough. The serpent's tail that it had swung in the same motion to hit Kai, was now going to hit Julie as well. However, Julie took aim and fired her RPG at the tail and forced it upward making it miss her.

"I told you, didn't I? Moms are tough!" Julie said with a smile.

"Falx stopped by her side and smiled back, but not one second after he did the ground crumbled up from under them both. They both fell for a few seconds and then Flax stuck his scythe into the side of a half-sunken building and skidded to a stop. He saw Julie falling and grabbed her by the arm with his free hand.

"FALX! JULIE!" Bris yelled while holding the passed out kai.

"Falx... get him home... please..." Julie whispered out of strength.

"Hold on!" Falx said while holding on tight.

" He... wants... to... see... Rio..." Julie whispered one last time before she died.

"No!" Falx said as he let go of Julie and let her fall into the bottomless pit.

======================= (Meanwhile) ============================

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" MOM!!!!" The small dragon yelled at the top of his lungs while taking off his cloak to reveal his silver scales and emerald green eyes.

He then ran as fast as he could away from that area. He found himself going down a street that was already destroyed and ran around a few corners. He didn't care anymore where or even how. He cried non-stop and ran as fast as his legs would take him. He couldn't bare the loss of his mother. He couldn't believe that she just died and that the dragon holding her couldn't hold onto her and let her die. Very unpleasant thoughts raced through his mind as he cried and ran, not looking where he was going. He quickly found himself on the ground and in pain. He cleared his eyes of some of the tears and opened them to see what he had just bumped into.

"Great. I hope this means I don't have to babysit." Samiake said sarcastically and frowned.
