Malcolm wasn't looking forward to starting at college. The University of Beldover was not his first choice. However, the arrival of a new Fox professor might just liven things up.

Chapter Twenty Three to follow soon...

Lachlan kept true to his word.

For the rest of that week up until Friday I spent every other night at his place. I drove home from campus, did some reading and homework, and then he came to pick me up.

Aunt Ruth and Thomas were mostly out or working late, but I noticed when I went to Lachlan's on Wednesday that she fixed me an expression of curiosity.

"That's good you're off out a lot," she casually remarked.

I knew I had to tell her about going away during the reading week.

"I'm also going away for the reading week," I explained.

"Oh, anywhere nice?"

"Italy."

"Well, I hope you have fun. It might be wise to tell your mum the dates and times of when you go," Aunt Ruth said, and that was the end of the matter.

Lachlan had amended all the bookings and texted me the details.

I had also kept his underwear and hoodie.

"No, keep them for now. Your butt looks really cute in them," he had grinned as I'd tried giving his underwear back on Wednesday night.

I was wearing them with his hoodie as I lay on my bed waiting for the compulsory class on Friday.

The material of both the hoodie and the briefs felt amazing. I rolled onto my stomach as I thought back to sleeping with Lachlan. We still hadn't had full on sex yet, but every night when we climbed into bed we had stroked each other's cocks and kissed.

I closed my eyes and the image of Lachlan gently stroking my cock as our tongues caressed in each other's muzzles filled my mind. My cock was already hard (which happened easily whenever I put on Lachlan's briefs) and I could almost smell his vulpine scent again as I thought about burying my nose into his neck fluff.

Buzzzz.

I cursed under my breath as I was shaken out of my daydream and looked at my phone to see Hudson calling me. I felt a twinge of guilt. I hadn't been texting or calling the jindo as much.

"Hello," I said, swiping to answer his call.

"Yo dawg, I hope I'm not interrupting you getting railed by Foxybutt?" Hudson laughed.

"Oh ha-ha," I sighed. "No, I'm at my auntie's, although I'm wearing his underwear at the moment."

"You stole his underwear?" Hudson said. "Dude, that's kinda hot. Can I see them?"

"So you can jerk off over them? That's my business," I joked. "But no, he gave them to me."

"Aww, he got you loungerie?" the jindo teased.

"They're a pair of sports briefs that were his, but he loaned them to me," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Well, I'm glad everything seems okay after week one. He hasn't been fired or done anything weird?"

"He's been really sweet and he's great in bed," I replied. "Honestly, I'm very happy."

I couldn't help but wriggle around as I said the word happy. Even if we hadn't explicitly asked each other out, I considered us boyfriends already and I had a strong sense Lachlan did too.

_ _ "I'm glad Malc, hearing you sound happy is a good thing," Hudson said sincerely. "So, I was calling as to ask if we should put together a trip during reading week."

"I would but Lachlan and I are going to Italy on Sunday," I explained.

"Woah, going on vacation with him already!" Hudson replied, and I wondered if I could detect a hint of disappointment in his voice. "Whereabouts are you guys off to?"

"I'm not sure yet, I know we're flying to Rome and going north," I explained.

"Heh, mystery vacation. Perhaps he has a love shack there," Hudson laughed.

"Hey!" I sighed, although I was relieved that Hudson didn't seem too angry or sad.

"Anyway dude, you coming to class today?"

"For sure, I'll see you in a bit," I replied.

"Awesome, see you later Malc."

He hung up and I laid back on the bed, snuggling into Lachlan's hoodie. The fox's underwear were hugging tight against my butt were making me hard again. My comment to Hudson was intended as a joke, but I had jerked off wearing Lachlan's briefs and I felt tempted to do it again.

I reached down and fondled my bulge, feeling myself growing harder to the point where my tip was almost poking out of the top.

Everyone else was out, so I had a chance for a quick one before class. Part of me wanted to save myself for the next time I was with Lachlan, but the feeling of his underwear hugging against me and the memories of us in bed were really working me up.

I tugged his hoodie off, slid the briefs down a little and clamped a paw around my dick. I closed my eyes and imagined my last visit to Lachlan's; the scent of his fur, the feel of him fondling my balls and his tongue stroking the insides of my muzzle.

The underwear were still covering my balls, and I reached down and stroked them through the fabric, pretending it was Lachlan's paw.

My climax came with no warning and I bucked my hips forwards, shooting my load over my stomach. Some also landed on the underwear.

"Fuck," I panted, looking down at the mess on my fur and briefs.

Time for a shower.

I darted out into the bathroom, making sure none of it dropped onto the carpet, and turned the shower on. I was about to slide the underwear off but a grin spread across my muzzle. Instead, I stepped under the water with them on and felt the fabric grow tighter around my crotch and butt as it got wet. I couldn't help but think of Lachlan in his swimwear as I felt the material cling to me and the thought made me get hard again.

I fondled my cock through the wet briefs before reaching for the shampoo. Another grin spread across my muzzle as I squeezed the bottle into my paw and copied Lachlan's motions of putting the suds down the front of the underwear. The material stuck to my balls and I wondered if I had time to jerk myself again in the shower.

Better save it for him.

I washed the suds away and shut the water off. The briefs were sticking delightfully to my cock and my butt. I thumbed at them for a second before peeling them down my hind-paws and chuckling as I wondered what Lachlan would think.

Making sure the underwear were wrapped safely in my towel, I hurried back to my room, draped them over the radiator to dry off and dressed myself.

The drive to campus didn't take too long and I pulled into a parking space as Hudson was walking towards the green.

"Great timing man!" he called as I climbed out of the car.

"Hey mate!" I called as I grabbed my bag and hurried over to where he was waiting.

Hudson sniffed at me.

"Did you have sex?" he asked with a grin. "I didn't realise Lachlan stopped by your place for a quickie?"

"Oh no, do I smell like it?" I said, wondering if I hadn't washed all the cum away.

"Wait, cancel that," Hudson said. "It's not fox spunk."

"Hudson!" I sighed. "You had me worried."

"Ohoho, so you did do something?" he grinned.

"Not with Lachlan, I had a wank and showered wearing his undies," I explained, lowering my voice.

"That's hot," Hudson chuckled. "I should steal some of yours and do the same."

I laughed at the thought.

"Um, you're not disappointed about me going away with him, are you?" I asked cautiously.

"I figured you guys would go away somewhere," Hudson reasoned. "I'm surprised that you're moving so soon, but then again different people move at different speeds."

"That's what Lachlan said," I replied, nodding in agreement.

"Actually, I'm gonna run in the library for a second," Hudson said.

"To do reading?"

"Nah, I need to pee bad. I should have gone in my bathroom," he explained.

"And there was me thinking you were being studious," I laughed. "I'll wait out here."

"Hello boys."

We turned to see Charlotte standing behind us.

"Hello," we repeated in unison.

"Um, sorry I gotta run in the library for a minute. I'll be right back," Hudson said, dashing off.

"Is he going to study?" Charlotte asked.

"He needs the bathroom," I replied.

"Oh, I was being optimistic," the vixen said. "I guess we shall wait here."

I nodded and we stood by the front entrance. Charlotte glanced around before leaning in closer.

"So are you and Lachlan an item now?" she asked.

"I guess, yeah," I replied, feeling surprised.

The vixen smiled to herself and nodded.

"Did Hudson tell you?" I asked. "Sorry I didn't tell you sooner."

"I was a little put off at first, given Hudson had said we should be honest, but I also understand as you're dating a faculty member," Charlotte explained. "But no, Hudson didn't tell me, I guessed myself."

"Really?"

"Yes, I mean your body language when I said your fox on Monday," Charlotte explained.

"You noticed that?" I sighed, feeling embarrassed.

"And the way you two interact and look at each other, plus you seem distracted and you head home quickly after class. I put two and two together. It's quite adorable, but you should be careful," Charlotte continued.

"That's what Hudson said. He warned me Lachlan could get fired."

"I suppose it depends on the university, but I was thinking of something else," Charlotte continued, before stopping herself and looking uncomfortable.

"Are you all right?" I asked.

"I'm fine," Charlotte replied, trying to fix me a smile, although I could see in her eyes that something was troubling her.

"Honestly, I don't think you are," I said. "Like Hudson said, we shouldn't care."

"It's quite bad," Charlotte sighed.

She opened her mouth to say more, but Hudson reappeared at the door.

"I'll tell you guys after class," she whispered.

"You two okay?" Hudson asked as he walked over.

"Yeah, shall we?" Charlotte said, gesturing in the direction of our lecture hall.

We walked over and lined up outside the door.

"I wonder who we have this week?" I pondered.

My question was answered Dr Stenning-Brown walked down the corridor, obviously having recovered from being ill.

"Did anyone bring a pillow?" Hudson whispered.

We filed into the room and sat towards the back rather than on the front row. I felt disappointed that Lachlan was not teaching the class, Hudson was gazing out of the window while chewing the tip of his pen while Charlotte still looked uneasy.

"Well, I think everyone is assembled so we shall begin," Stenning-Brown wheezed before starting the lecture.

Scratch that, the badger was still ill.

The class was something about proper referencing in essays, but I wasn't paying much attention. I wanted to Lachlan to come and take me away.

I also found it difficult to concentrate knowing Charlotte was feeling uncomfortable. Stenning-Brown's lecture was once again not what I'd call engrossing. The badger wheezed and coughed as he spoke, and I felt glad we were sitting further back.

Eventually it came to an end as Stenning-Brown let out a final cough and gestured for us to leave. Everyone hurried towards the door.

"Shall we get a drink together?" I suggested.

I wanted to sit with my friends before I went off to Italy.

"Good idea Malc, SU bar or the pavilion?" Hudson asked.

"I haven't been to the pavilion before," Charlotte said.

"Let's go there, it seems quieter than the SU," I suggested.

Hudson nodded and began leading the way.

We walked across the green and headed towards the sports fields.

"Here we are," Hudson said, holding the door of the bar open.

We walked inside.

"We could sit here..." I began, but trailed off as I felt my blood turn to ice.

Adam was sitting with Grace at a table near the door. The jaguar looked up and our eyes met. I could see shock written all over his face, and I realised my expression probably looked the same.

"Awkward," I heard Hudson sigh.

"No," I said firmly. "I want to handle this."

I took a deep breath and walked over. I noticed Grace get up and walk away as I approached.

"Hi," I said to Adam, trying to sound casual. "Sorry I haven't answered your messages."

"Um, hi," Adam said, still looking surprised. "I was about to go outside for a cigarette. Come with me."

I glanced over at Hudson and Charlotte. They were fixing me nervous glances but I responded with a reassuring smile, although the corners of my mouth felt wobbly.

Adam was already pushing his way through the door so I followed him. I hoped he wasn't asking me outside so he could punch me on the muzzle, but as I walked out I noticed him leaning casually against the wall. The jaguar was wearing the same green hoodie he had worn at the party. He reached into the front pocket, pulled out a cigarette and lit up.

"Okay, shoot," he said.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in going any further with a relationship," I said, repeating the words Hudson had advised me to say.

I thought I sounded stiff and robotic, but Adam nodded and puffed out smoke.

"Figures, I thought you were trying to avoid me. Was it because of the party?"

"Yes, um yeah to be honest that was the reason," I said, internally cringing at how weak my voice sounding.

Adam nodded again as he took a drag from his cigarette.

"Honestly, it's a shame as you're cute," he said, and I was surprised to see sadness in the jaguar's eyes.

"I'm sorry, when I walked in on you in the party with your housemate," I paused and took a deep breath. "It was too much for me."

"I was hoping we could do stuff the three of us, but I should have asked you first," Adam reasoned, taking another puff.

I was relieved that he seemed to be taking it pretty well.

"Me and Charlie, we kind of have a thing going on, even if I'm dating other guys," Adam continued. "Like you and your jindo friend I suppose."

"Kind of, although I wouldn't do stuff with him if I had a full-time boyfriend," I replied.

In my mind, I knew Hudson and I hadn't done anything since I had gotten with Lachlan, but I deliberately chose not to volunteer that information.

Adam responded with a nod.

"That's fair I suppose. Well, I guess I'll see you around and I hope you find someone who makes you happy," he said, without any traceable emotion in his voice.

"Um, see you around. Take care," I replied.

"You too," Adam replied, taking a drag before walking off.

I watched him for a moment, hoping that would be the last time we would talk, before, hurrying back inside to where Hudson and Charlotte were sitting at a table.

"How did it go?" Hudson asked.

"Awkward, but not as bad as it could have been," I replied.

"At least you guys hadn't really been properly mated as you said, otherwise that would have been harder," the jindo reasoned. "Anyway, I think you deserve a celebratory milkshake. Charlotte, what do you want?"

"A flat white please," Charlotte replied.

Hudson nodded and walked to the counter. I glanced around, trying to spot Grace. Thankfully there was no sign of her and I wondered if she'd made a discrete exit with Adam.

"What just went on?" Charlotte asked.

"That was the guy I dated, before Lachlan. The one I caught him in bed with his housemate," I explained.

"Oh that guy_,_" Charlotte sighed. "He sounded awful."

Hudson returned with our drinks and set them down.

"I'm glad you got that over with dude," Hudson said as he sat down. "No you're free to be with Foxybutt."

"Have you guys planned anything for next week?" Charlotte asked.

"I'm going to Italy, with Lachlan," I explained.

"Going on holiday with him already!" she exclaimed.

"That's what Hudson said."

Hudson and I laughed, but I noticed Charlotte still looked uncomfortable.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked.

Charlotte nursed her coffee before taking a deep breath.

"I was saying to be careful with Lachlan not for quite the same reason Hudson was," Charlotte began. "I feel awful saying this, as Lachlan seems like a nice man."

"He is," Hudson said, and I felt pleasantly surprised that the jindo was putting in a good word for Lachlan despite his initial scepticism of my relationship.

"I'm sure," Charlotte continued. "Well, the reason I dropped out of my old university was because I met this guy worked as an assistant an elective French class I was doing. We got to know each other and began dating. I didn't think much of it, he was a PhD student rather than a full-time professor. But he began to introduce me to things I wasn't comfortable with, like doing drugs. I was more naïve then, so I went along with it as I had low self-esteem and he made me feel loved. Then I found out he was doing the same with other girls. It caused me a lot of problems and I stopped showing up to classes. My grades slumped and my parents found out. I explained what the problem was. The PhD guy left, either he was quietly expelled or slipped away, but I was so distressed I dropped out of university for two years."

Hudson and I sat in silence as we digested her words, and then without saying anything we reached over and took one of her paws each.

"I'm sorry," I said softly.

"It's okay now, I'm at a new place with new friends. I had a fresh start," she reasoned. "But at the time it was horrible. For what it's worth, I like to think Lachlan isn't like that, but I want you to be careful."

"He isn't," I replied firmly. "I was saying to Hudson, he's actually nervous about making me uncomfortable and keeps asking if I feel rushed."

"That's a good sign," Charlotte said. "I hope it goes well for you guys."

We continued to hold paws.

"How do I get my parents to accept my dyed fur?" Hudson sighed. "While we're on emotional subjects."

"At least they accepted you being gay," I replied. "I'm going to have to tell my mum soon."

Charlotte suddenly pulled her paws away.

"Something wrong?" I asked. "I hope we're not trivialising your story or anything?"

"Oh nothing, my coffee was getting cold," she said with a wry smile.

We were silent for a moment and then we all laughed with relief.

"Dude, I much prefer laughing to moping," Hudson said.

"Sometimes it's good to talk about things," I reasoned. "But yeah, being happy is better."

"So where in Italy are you going?" Charlotte asked.

"It's a surprise," I explained.

"Love shack," Hudson whispered and I rolled my eyes. "Oh, sorry," he added, turning to Charlotte.

"It's okay," she replied. "Your fox is no doubt planning something romantic. I admit, I feel slightly envious you've bagged someone very handsome."

"That's what I said!" Hudson laughed.

They both turned to me.

"So, tell us your secret?" Hudson said.

"What secret?"

"How do you attract guys?" he grinned.

"Like you have any trouble doing that yourself," I retorted.

"I was hoping for some advice too," Charlotte added.

"I mean you bagged Foxybutt!" Hudson continued.

"Why don't you two ask Stenning-Brown out?" I said with a shrug.

"Eww, no!" came the response.

We continued laughing as we finished our drinks and stood to leave.

"See you guys sometime next week," I said.

Hudson pulled Charlotte and I into a hug.

"I hope you guys will be okay while I'm gone," I said, feeling a little guilty that I was going away without them.

"My parents have some relatives down in Kent," Hudson replied. "They told them I was here and I've been invited down, so I might take them up on it."

"I'll see if I can get more golf in," Charlotte replied.

We all shared another hug before bidding each other farewell.

"See ya Malc, let me know if you guys wanna hang out one last time tomorrow?" Hudson called as we walked away.

"Will do!" I replied.

I felt relieved that my friends seemed fine with me dating Lachlan. The thought of the fox made me eager to get home and message him.
