#6 of Mage (Reboot & Reworked)

This chapter starts with some incest, thanks to a certain someone wanting to push for that! But yeah, this one is all about the mystery behind the bracelet and of course, some eavesdropping. Enjoy the chapter and if there's any tags I'm missing, do point them out!

Mysteries & Eavesdropping

Rowen yawned as he sat up in bed, stretching his arms high above his head as he woke up for another day of school. It was the second week and he was getting well adjusted to the place, as well as familiarizing himself with Winnipeg again after being away for so long. It was during the weekend that he decided to go out and explore by himself, seeing how Xun was grounded and that he honestly didn't feel like being a bother to anyone. The little field trip he had during those two days was definitely a worthy experience, for he could remember almost everything from when he was a cub.

He saw the shops his father sometimes took him to whenever he had both the money and time off of work, the elementary school and even the playground. Everything he saw brought back cherished memories. Those were the best times, when his mother was around, making them a family of three instead of two. He remembered always going out with them to have some sort of adventure, everyone laughing and having a grand time. Remembering all of this made his heart hurt a little, for he missed her terribly, despite her coming over to visit for a few days every month whenever she wasn't busy in France. The divorce they had when he was eleven went over smoothly, to which he was still thankful for because most ended up being quite a disaster. And from what he could initially recall, there were no arguments, no objects thrown, no battle of custody over him; it was surprisingly peaceful.

And the answer to why they decided to do it was simple; they fell out of love and wanted to go their separate ways. At the time, Rowen didn't understand why any of this was happening and he begged for his mother to not leave, pleading desperately for her to stay and for them to be a happy family like always. He recalled the sadness in her eyes, knowing that she didn't want to leave either. To this day, he still remembered getting the last, warm hug he would ever receive from her. And after she had put ten thousand dollars on the table (something both he and his father were still grateful about), she opened up the door and left, never coming back.

After that happened, Rowen was depressed for a long time and didn't want to come out of his room at all for anything. He took it rather hard and Graham did his best to cheer him up and provide, despite the strain on raising the boy and keeping his current job. When the bills couldn't be paid, (because his father at the time worked retail while his mother was a bank accountant, clearly making her the breadwinner) they quickly lost their home and the young lion just had no desire at all to be happy anymore. It felt like his whole world had gone cold and dark, and that there was no escape. Then the news of him moving to another country was like pouring salt to an open wound because he had made a friend and enjoyed living in Canada.

However, after moving and spending the remaining years in the United Kingdom, Rowen eventually got over everything and finally bonded with his father. It was tough, having to make new friends and settle in a place that was completely foreign, but he made it through thanks to his old man who was there every step of the way. While Graham made plans to build his business from the ground up, he still made time for his son. 'Speaking of...' he looked over to his right to see the slumbering form of his father laying on his back, completely in the buff and snoring softly. The lower half of his body was covered partially by the sheets. Just looking at him made his body shiver, then winced at the sharp pain he felt on his sore bottom. The grey-muzzle got carried away again, something he couldn't really blame him for since he did tease him the night before and it felt too good to complain.

He marveled at the hunk of a lion before him, in awe of his physique. It was no wonder why Aimee fell in love, for he was quite the looker. His eyes began to roam, starting with the powerful chest that rose up and down gently with every breath, perked nipples that were begging to be sucked on. Then they moved over to the strong biceps that could possibly crush people if he so dared to manhandle anyone down to the ground. Thick veins could be seen through skin and fur, emphasizing even more how strong his father was.

Traveling down, he was met with a nice view of washboard abs that looked as if they were perfectly sculpted. All of this was getting him excited, his breathing starting to become heavier but he controlled himself with a shake of his head. 'Focus! You have school and he has to go to work!' He closed his eyes and heaved out a soft sigh. With his mind clear and excitement somewhat abated, he reached out and placed a paw on Graham's shoulder, gently shaking him. "Morning, dad. Time to wake up."

Graham shifted about, rousing from his slumber. After grumbling for a few minutes, his eyes slowly opened. "I was having a nice dream too...what time is it?" He inquired as he began to sit up with a yawn and stretched his stiff muscles.

Rowen swiveled his head, his eyes resting upon an alarm clock that sat on a nearby nightstand. "Five thirty," he replied and turned back around, "which is odd, seeing as how we--ah!" The young lion's words were cut off as his face was grabbed, then pulled over to be smothered into his father's chest.

There was no resistance, as the both of them knew who was stronger. And even then, Rowen enjoyed having the older man display his strength in one way or another. A growl of both lust and satisfaction could be heard from Graham as he gazed affectionately at his son who looked back at him, an annoyed expression on his face. "Hmph, you're adorable when you're mad."

Hearing that comment made the young lion's cheeks burn red. "Dad, don't say stuff like that." He mumbled, hiding his embarrassment away within the fuzzy, warm chest he became acquainted with.

"What, don't like it when your old man compliments you?" Graham teased, snickering a little before grabbing hold of the young lion to pull him away from his chest. Now face to face, the two of them stared lovingly into each other's eyes.

Rowen could only shake his head no, for he didn't open his mouth to reply, only to gaze at the beautiful purple eyes that glimmered in the morning sunlight that peeked in through the silky beige curtains. It always amazed him how he was an exact image of his father, from his eyes all the way down to his body.

"Well you should, because it's true and I love you." Graham smiled, then leaned forward to give the young lion a kiss.

Rowen moaned softly as he opened his maw wider, forcing the other to do the same and flicked his rough tongue out. Almost instantly did he get a reaction from his semi probing and felt the other tongue wrestling with his own. Feeling that this was a challenge, he parted his lips away and snarled loudly in an attempt to assert dominance, to show that he wasn't entirely submissive.

This didn't go unnoticed as Graham merely chuckled in amusement, then suddenly grabbed hold of Rowen's left shoulder and pushed, successfully getting him on his back. Before the boy could even comprehend what was happening, he was soon over top of him and spread his legs apart to be placed on either side, fully straddling him. With a mischievous grin, he leaned down and got close to one of his ears, letting out a low, seductive growl.

A shiver of delight ran through Rowen's body, loving how dominant the man can be in the bedroom. And there was no denying it; he loved being put in his place, no matter how much he complained or tried to show he was against it. He enjoyed these moments almost as much as him. Suddenly, he gasped and his body became tense at the feeling of his neck being nibbled on.

"Someone's excited, hmm?" Graham rumbled after leaning back up and reaching behind himself to give a firm squeeze of his son's cock that was fully hard and throbbing, earning a grunt and a low growl. Grinning, he let go and then raised both of his arms before flexing them, letting his son get a nicer view of his muscles.

Rowen couldn't help but ogle his father at that moment, for he was undeniably sexy. With his paws being free, he leaned up and reached out to grab and squeeze down on the hard muscle, feeling the raw power within before moving over to grope those delicious looking pecs. "Gods...anyone would drop their pants for you," he murmured and looked down to see that he wasn't the only one enjoying this. He had to admit, his father's cock was certainly impressive. While he had more length, Graham was girthy and the heavy balls that swung between his legs were slightly bigger than his own.

The older lion grinned, flexing a few more times before crossing his arms over his chest. "You have no idea how many people did before I met your mother. Now lay back for me." He ordered, then got up and turned around, showing off his backside. As he began to settle back down, he stretched his lower half over to Rowen, his cock and balls dangling in front of him. "You know what to do."

Giving only a nod in response, Rowen opened his maw, waiting to pleasure and be filled. He didn't have to wait long however, for he felt the familiar thick meat get shoved inside, tasting the raw maleness and smelling the musk emanating from him due to how close his crotch fuzz was. Already he began licking and slurping as best he could, loving the feel of barbs tickling his rough tongue, all the while moaning from his own cock getting pleasured.

Graham growled at the lashing he was receiving, loving how good his son was at pushing his buttons. He worked his own mouth and throat, deep throating as much as he could.

Rowen did the same, but with much more enthusiasm, trying to let his father know what he really wanted. His hint did not go ignored as he felt that thick cock suddenly slip out and his father quickly getting up in order to turn around and face him.

After getting down on his knees once more, Graham pointed his cock straight at the young lion's awaiting open muzzle. "Get ready, boy." He panted, showing off his teeth with a cocky grin.

Knowing what was coming, Rowen reached down with a paw to grab his own cock that was now slick with saliva and pre. Already he was pumping himself at a fast rate. Without any hesitation, his maw became filled again, the thick meat driving back and forth across his tongue and throat. A loud moan left him and all he cared about at that moment was pleasing his old man.

Grunts, growls and snarls could be heard from the older lion above as he worked his hips, driving himself as deep as he could go, all the while hearing Rowen gag, making him grow even more aroused. With all of the stimulation and sounds of pure, raw sex, he grabbed both of the boy's ears and tugged hard.

Having done this many times, Rowen wasn't surprised by the action. If anything, it turned him on further. He worked his maw and tongue as best he could, trying his hardest to milk all of what his father had to offer.

Minutes passed, although it felt like hours to the both of them. Graham began to sweat, gradually increasing the manly scent he was already putting out while his breathing became labored and his thrusts became erratic. "Getting close..."

Rowen could only give a garbled moan in reply. His ears and maw were starting to hurt, but he didn't care as he felt his father's cock swelling; a sign that he was about to blow. With one last thrust into his maw, a thunderous roar could be heard and with it came hard throbs as ropes of cum shot down his throat. After the first spurt, he shot his own load, splattering his stomach in the process. He swallowed every last drop and greedily sucked on the spent cock for more.

"Fuck..." Graham's moaned, his whole body shuddering from his son's actions. Letting out an amused chuckle, he placed his paws on Rowen's shoulders to gently push him off. "We have to get dressed soon."

The young lion glanced at the alarm clock which read 6:00 am, then back at his father after licking his lips. "Yeah, you're right. We have thirty minutes left." His gaze traveled down at his naked body, noticing that the mess he made was quickly drying on his fur. "But I'll need to take a quick shower first."

"Better hurry, then. Have a good day at school." Graham said as he watched the young lion get out of bed and leave the room.

"I will." Rowen replied as he made his way down the corridor toward the bathroom, his steps quick so the cum spots wouldn't settle in.

~ ~ ~

"You were what?!" Everyone, save for Cameron, exclaimed at the news that was brought before them this morning. They were all out in the courtyard at a secluded spot, well away from prying ears.

Xun's eyes were averted, his gaze cast downward towards the floor in embarrassment, a finger idly scratching his left cheek. "Yeah...it surprised me a great deal, but at least I survived! Hehe..."

Justin sighed, clearly upset about this more than anyone else. "It gave all of us a shock to see someone trying to assassinate you. I'm just glad I heard everything and got to you in time, otherwise..." he trailed off, hesitating.

Gwen furiously shook her head and placed a finger upon the young panda's lips, silencing him. "Not another word, please. I don't want to think about that." Her eyes soon became ablaze with fury. "Whoever it was, I'll make them very sorry they tried to kill my best friend."

"You're not the only one, Gwen." Rowen said with a hard frown settling on his face, arms crossed over his chest. He seemed to be calm on the surface, but this was not the case as his tail lashed about erratically. "I think we all want to know who did this as much as you do, trust me."

"Did you get a good look at their face?" Cameron asked out of the blue, surprising everyone. All eyes became transfixed on him. He scoffed with a roll of his eyes. "What? I know he almost got murdered, but with everything that's been going on lately, this doesn't phase me. And besides, it would help if we got something out of this so we'll know who to look for if this person strikes again."

"Cam, I know what you're saying, but this is a friend of ours we're talking about here!" Damien growled, then stopped himself after getting a look from the cheetah. It seemed that wasn't enough to keep him from talking however, as he furiously shook his head, ignoring the stare. "You have to feel some concern!"

The cheetah sighed, then closed his eyes. "I do, but my point still stands." He turned his attention to Xun. "So, is there anything distinctive that you can tell us? Anything at all?"

Xun cupped his chin, the gears in his head turning as he tried to recall anything that could be useful information. "Well," he spoke up after a minute or two, "the only thing I can really remember is that this person was male and they had yellow eyes."

A flash of annoyance crossed Cameron's features. "I see...doesn't really get us anywhere, but it's a start."

"Someone is harsher than usual today." Jacob teased, then suddenly putting up his paws in defense and waving them frantically from the glare he was getting. "Sorry, sorry! Just pointing it out is all!" He blew out a sigh of relief when the cheetah merely sucked in his teeth and cast his gaze elsewhere.

"He's right...you are being rather cold." Damien said, agreeing with the other canine. "In any case, what are you guys gonna do? I mean, what if the guy comes after you again?"

"To be honest, I don't really know," Xun answered with a shrug, "but what I do know is that our parents are somewhat on edge. Which, I can't really blame them for I guess."

"Yeah, and because of that, they're starting to get a little overprotective." Justin sighed heavily, then looked over to Cameron who still seemed to be angry. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." The cheetah responded, a low snarl rumbling out at whoever he was seeing coming up to the group. "And don't look now, but prince charming is here to greet us."

Gwen firmly slapped a paw to her forehead with a groan. "Oh gods, what does he want now? This is really not the time..."

Out of the corner of his eye, Xun spotted James strolling over to them, wearing a cocky smile like he usually did. "Why are you here?" He asked once the cougar was in close proximity, frowning at the semi entourage behind him. "And tell your little 'fans' to go away."

Quirking a brow as if he didn't understand what was said, James slowly turned his head, waved at the students, then turned back at the panda. "What, I can't see you now yin-yang? And even if I did tell em' to go, more would show up anyway." He suddenly grabbed one of the panda's paws, lifting it up to his muzzle before giving a quick kiss, earning a disgusted look in return. "Besides, you still owe me a--"

Rowen swiftly came up and slapped the cougar's paw away, snarling. "Back off, he's mine!" He looked over to his right at Xun, giving him a knowing glance and a small smile before frowning and glaring at James.

The growing crowd gasped, all in shock that someone openly defied the most popular student in school. James' eyes were wide, not at all expecting something like this to happen. For a moment, it seemed like he didn't know what to do, then suddenly he began to chuckle. "Oh, okay. I see what's going on here. He's not yours."

Xun's right eye twitched. 'DID HE NOT HEAR A WORD OF WHAT WAS SAID?! OR REGISTER WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!' He wanted to scream, he wanted to punch the guy square in the jaw. Something to make him realize that he did not like him at all. "James, I--"

"Hold on there, cute stuff." James interrupted and gave a wink toward the panda, who looked away and face-pawed. "Anyway, like I was saying...he's not yours. I'll warn you now kitten, better step off if you know what's good for ya." He glared daggers at the other feline, the two of them staring each other down before letting out a derisive snort, then turned around, heading into the building. "I'll deal with you later. See ya later, yin yang! You still owe me a date!"

"That one sure is persistent..." Jacob mumbled with a shake of his head as he watched the sea of furs enter the school. "I wonder when he'll come to his senses. And speaking of," his curious gaze settled on Xun, "is this the first time he's done this?"

"No, this has been going on since freshman year." Xun answered with a heavy sigh. "I don't know how or why, but somehow he fell head over heels for me."

"It's because you were nice to him, duh. You gave him the time of day, so of course he was going to latch onto you." Gwen said, looking very annoyed as she had a paw on her left hip, her right foot tapping the ground.

"I didn't know he would!" Xun retorted, then quickly winced at the sharp tone he had used. "Sorry, but I really had no idea. And, uhh...sorry Rowen, but he was kind of...cute at the time."

Rowen's eyes widened in surprise, then quickly frowned. "I'm not sure how to feel about this."

Jacob tilted his head in a typical canine fashion. "I don't see any reason to be jealous, as it is quite obvious that Xun here has quite the disdain when it comes to James. And even then, you two are currently dating." He explained, causing the lion to blush heavily under his fur in embarrassment.

Gwen giggled, her orange eyes dancing in excitement. "He's right! You're already claiming your territory."

Damien chimed in, wanting to get in on the fun as well. "Nah, he's just protective of his soon to be mate. As he should be since he's a lion."

Cameron snorted at the display, his tail swishing lazily. "Whatever..."

"I'm not jealous!" The lion shouted out, clearly agitated by all of what was being said. "I just don't like the guy is all..."

"Hey, stop teasing!" Xun huffed, giving them all a hard stare. He was trying his best to be serious, but failed as his own cheeks began to burn. Despite the jokes, it was nice to see Rowen defending him. "Umm...thanks for stepping in though." He reached out and grabbed one of the lion's paws, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"No problem." Rowen gave a sheepish smile and returned the small bit of affection. "Like I said, I'm going to protect you."

"Hey, not trying to spoil the mood here, but we have class in a few minutes." Cameron said as he already started walking to the building without waiting on anyone. "And I hope you studied Damien, because we have a pop quiz!"

Damien groaned in dismay, slapping his forehead with a paw. "Damn it! I forgot all about that! Ugh, I'm gonna fail...my life is over."

Justin came up to the husky and gently patted him on the shoulder, making him look up to see his genuine smile "Hey, don't worry. I'll give you a quick crash course when we get in the classroom. Besides, Mr. Klowski can be late sometimes."

The husky didn't seem sure as he frowned, not wanting to get himself moving. But after a bit of tugging and encouragement from the young panda, he eventually began to march. "Fine..."

Gwen cupped her chin, contemplating something as she and the rest of the group followed behind. This caught the attention of Xun, asking her what was up. "Nothing, really. Just trying to remember if we have one today or not."

"It's tomorrow," Rowen answered and looked over to the panda, giving him a wink, "so this gives you extra time to study."

Xun breathed a heavy sigh of relief, completely overjoyed by the news and the flow of heat after entering the building. "Thanks the gods. I didn't get a chance to last night, so--" He paused mid sentence, his eyes wide as he took in the sight of a familiar grizzly bear standing close to Cameron. Alarm bells went off in his head. "Kota?! What are you doing here?"

Cameron's ears perked up at the sound of the panda's voice. "Hmm? Oh, he's just handing me a note. Although I'm as surprised as you right now." He frowned at the bear, his body tense and ready to run for it, despite no threats being uttered or paws bunching into fists.

Kota sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes. "I ain't got time fo' this bullshit. And it ain't a note. Read it!" He growled, then trudged off without another word.

Damien blinked his eyes a few times, rubbing them as if to make sure what he saw was real. "Okay, that was really weird. What was that for?"

Cameron stared at Kota for a long moment, his expression varying between confusion and curiosity before his attention shifted back to what was being held in his paw. "I don't know, but guess we'll find out." He opened the piece of paper, quickly reading its contents. "It's...a pass to the nurse's office."

"What was he doing with that?" Justin asked before glancing over to the cheetah who was still looking perplexed. "And what are you going to the nurse for?"

"It's a monthly check up. Nothing to worry about." Damien answered with casual shrug.

"What, is he sick or something?" Justin inquired, his brows furrowing in concern.

"No, I'm fine. It's just something I have to do and I can't talk about it, so drop it." The hard glare that Cameron had, along with the tone of voice he used, made it clear that the discussion was done and over with. "And again, we have class in a few minutes, unless you two want to be late." He didn't bother to wait for a response as he turned on his heels and walked off.

The young panda deflated a little, more than likely hurt at the harshness that was thrown his way. "Right...I'll see you all at lunch then. Be safe, Xun!" He smiled, although it was obvious it was forced, then set off after the boy with Damien right behind his tail.

"Ouch. I hope he's okay." Gwen said, her expression filled with sorrow as she watched Justin disappear around the corner. "I wonder what was making him so grumpy today? I mean, his usual snark isn't that bad."

Xun narrowed his eyes, not at all liking what just went down. First, it was Kota, someone he absolutely hates with every fiber of his being, then one of his little brother's friends being a complete jerk for no reason. 'It's just one thing after another!' He balled up one of his paws, his whole body trembling. "If this keeps up, I'm more than likely going to do something I'll regret. I don't like seeing my brother hurt in any way."

Sensing his anger, Jacob came up to the panda and gently placed a paw on his shoulder, a small smile on his lips. "I understand that you want to protect him, and it's very good that you are, truly." He had a knowing look in his eyes when he said this, which Xun did not fail to notice, giving a most subtle nod as he continued. "But trust me, he will be alright. This sort of thing happens in friendships. Whatever is troubling Cameron will come to light and he will apologize, I'm sure."

Gwen nodded in agreement. "Took the words right out of my mouth! It'll be okay, hun."

Rowen simply shook his head and shrugged. "I wouldn't worry too much. It'll pass and everything will be fine."

"Well...if you all say so..." Xun gave a small smile, grateful for his friends and their support. Suddenly, his ears perked up and his eyes widened in surprise as he quickly glanced at Jacob. "Shouldn't you be heading to class right about now?"

"Oh, you're right!" The Australian Shepherd slapped a paw to his forehead, then quickly began speed walking. "I'll see you all later!"

"We should get going too." Rowen said, getting nods from both panda and ferret, the three of them making their way to homeroom.

~ ~ ~

Justin fidgeted in his seat, wondering what was taking so long in the nurse's office. As soon as they came into the room, Cameron showed Mr. Klowski the note and was dismissed. He was dying to know what was going on. And truth be told, he was worried, despite the harshness from earlier.

Damien noticed this as he looked up from his quiz, brows furrowing into a frown. "Hey, don't worry about him. He said he'll be fine, and it takes only a few minutes." He whispered, giving a reassuring smile.

"If you say so..." He replied, smiling back at the husky and then returned his focus onto his own paper, having already finished. As much as he wanted to believe him, his curiosity kept getting the better of him. Not only was Cameron trying to keep whatever it was secret, Damien did too, adding more suspicion.

"Justin?" Mr. Klowski called, grabbing the panda's attention. "Are you alright?" He inquired and got a nod. "Are you finished?"

"Yes, sir." Justin got up from his seat after grabbing his paper and walked over to the teacher's desk. As he handed it over, his stomach started groaning and pain suddenly shot through him, causing him to double over.

Alarmed, Damien quickly rushed to Justin's side. "Whoa, what's wrong?"

Slowly getting himself upright, Justin forced a smile that it almost hurt. "I'm okay. Probably ate something bad this morning."

Mr. Klowski's brows furrowed in concern. "Do you need to go to the nurse's office?"

"No, that's--" He started, then whined as the pain became persistent and stronger. "Okay, that would be best, please!"

"Can I go with him to make sure he gets there?" Damien asked, bringing out his puppy eyes.

"Have you finished your quiz?" The panther gave a flat look, his stern gaze making the husky chuckle nervously and go back to his seat with a grumble. "I'll give you a pass."

After searching inside of his desk, Mr. Klowski handed Justin what he needed and sent him on his way.

Relieved, he left the classroom and walked down the hall to the nurse's office with haste. "Ugh, of all the times, why now?" Justin grumbled as he held a paw to his stomach, not at all having expected this to happen. He didn't complain much however, as he could see his designation in sight. Upon reaching the door, he gently rapped his knuckles three times.

"Give me just a moment with this student I have, okay?" A female voice called out, her voice sounding light and genuine.

"Alright, take your time." Justin replied, a small sigh escaping. He hoped this wouldn't take too long. As he stood there waiting, his ears perked up at the sound of Cameron's voice. Normally he wouldn't eavesdrop on something that is clearly personal, but he just couldn't let this one go, so he got close and placed an ear to the door.

"I really can't stand doing this every month. I hate needles." Cameron growled, clearly not happy with what went down.

"I know sweetie, but it's important to take these shots and you know that." She chuckled. "Now, if you're feeling anything out of the ordinary, you come straight back here, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am." The cheetah answered, with no snarky quips or harshness. "At least you're nicer than the last nurse I had."

Not wanting to hear anymore, Justin leaned back and leaned against the wall, trying to looks casual as possible. There were so many questions buzzing around in his head at the moment, although he felt terribly guilty for doing what he did, but what was done has been done.

Just as he was about to get lost in his head, the door opened and Cameron walked out. He turned and quickly jumped in surprise. "Justin? What are you doing here?"

As the panda opened his mouth to answer, his stomach groaned again and the pain came back with a vengeance. "This," he managed to get out, then quickly rushed into the nurse's office, nearly bumping into a female grizzly bear.

"Alright, I'll see you at class then." Cameron gave a small wave before turning around and walked away. "And thanks, doc!"

"Anytime!" She smiled and shut the door, then turned to gaze at the young panda, only to gasp as recognition shown in her eyes. "Justin! Is that you? My, you've certainly grown over the years."

"Huh?" Justin tilted his head in confusion. "I'm sorry, but do I know you?"

The female bear smiled, completely unphased by the question as she shook her head. "No, but I know you because I've seen you when you were just a tiny cub. You don't remember, but I held you in my arms and looked after you and your brother when your parents were too busy with work."

A small frown settled on Justin's features as he tried hard to recall anything about this woman, but to no avail. He let out a sigh, feeling disappointed. "Guess I'll have to take your word for it, Mrs..."

Lightly chuckling, she motioned with a paw toward a name tag on her uniform. "Lawson, but you can call me Evelyn. So what brings you here?"

Not one to waste time, Justin quickly explained his dilemma, all the while noticing how distinctively similar she was to another bear he somewhat knew. "You two look sort of alike..." he whispered to himself.

Evelyn blinked for a moment and tilted her head quizzically after handing him a small pink pill and a cup of water for him to drink. "Who?"

"Oh, this kid named Kota who bullied Xun for years for whatever reason. Are...you two related?" He asked after swallowing the stuff.

"Yes, I'm his mother." She answered and laughed at the reaction she was getting. "I know, it's surprising but believe me, he was a very sweet child. I just don't know what got into him to act this way...I hope it doesn't last."

"I'm sure it won't! Just give it some time and he'll eventually come to his senses." He said, giving a reassuring smile her way.

"Thank you for the kind words, but..." Evelyn had a far away look in her eyes for a moment, her eyes fixated on Justin but through him as if she was lost in whatever she was seeing. She stayed like this for a minute or two before coming back to her senses. "I'm sorry, let's not focus on that. How is your brother? Is he doing well?"

Justin nodded, becoming more and more relaxed with the woman. "Yeah, he's doing fine. He's a major dork, but he gets serious when he needs to. Also, he very recently got a boyfriend."

Hearing this, the grizzly became excited, her amber eyes sparkling with joy and her paws clasped together. "Really?! That's so good to hear! I--" she stopped mid sentence as she looked up at a clock on the wall, then back down, frowning. "Oh, there I go again, being a chatterbox. Hang on, I'll write you a note." She walked away to fetch a pen and piece of paper.

The young panda giggled in amusement and decided to look around the small area as he waited. It was simple in its design and came with the basic needs, something that surprised him a little, seeing how it was such a fancy school.

Evelyn hummed as she came back and handed Justin a signed note. "Here you are! I'm sorry for taking up your time. It's just been awhile since I've seen you two or your parents."

Shaking his head with a laugh, Justin got off of the recovery couch. "It's fine, Evelyn! I enjoyed talking with you, and thanks, I'm all better now. See you later." He waved and opened the door to leave the office. As he came out into the halls, he spotted Cameron leaning up against a wall.

"Took you long enough. Thought I was going to die of old age by the time you were done." Cameron said, stretching his stiff muscles with a yawn.

"Uhh, thanks for waiting, but why? The halls are empty when school is starting." Justin stated as he came up to the cheetah and the two walked back to class together.

"Hmph, I didn't do it for your sake." Cameron huffed, averting his eyes and looking elsewhere. "Would have been boring if I went by myself."

Justin only chuckled, knowing fully well what his friend really meant. He still couldn't shake off what he had heard and didn't want to bring up the topic as of this moment, so he decided to wait until a better time. Right now, he just enjoyed the other's company.
