Through the sands to Reia
As the dust clears a hand clad in a metal colored so white it was almost blinding in the harsh sunlight of the dunes reached out towards me,"Are you alright Miss?" a deep voice asked through the cloud of sand, "Yes, covered in dirt but yes i'm fine." I managed to say mouth half-full of sand, I grabbed the outstretched hand and was pulled to my feet almost instantly. "Thank you for the help, I didn't bring any of my gear with me since it was suppose to be a short trip to Reia." After finally getting a chance to wipe the dirt from my face I got a good first look my saviour, He was about 7' tall and was wearing a gleaming white platemail set except for his head in which he was wearing dark sunglasses, his hair was a shining blonde almost down to his shoulders and his ears were very long but somehow defied gravity enough to point up anyway, "Oh so you are your way to Reia huh? Well I just happened to be on my way there, come on i'll escort you there" he said with a smirk like i was a ditz to have gotten myself lost here when the town is easily seeable due to the large tower reaching to sky from it. "Thanks" I said noticing the slight smirk and tone in his voice. "By the way I didn't get your name, mine is Genuls, Genuls Hrosa" the man said with a big grin, "Oh, my name is Shya Kruxx" I said with an equally stupid grin, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you albeit not in the best circumstances I take" Genuls said, "Yeah, I kind of got myself lost in that big sandstorm" I excalimed with a slighty angry look on my face "The newpaper didn't say anything about a sandstorm today", "Yes, well lately it's been pretty unpredictable for some reason" Genuls explained "Well anyway, Let's get going to Reia, it's not far off."
We walked for what seemed like hours until coming to a giant stone gate in the middle of nowhere. "This is Reia" said Genuls. I looked up towards the top of the gate, it must have been a good 50' tall, 'Must be like that to help keep the sandstorms from hurting the town' I thought. Genuls turned away from me and grabbed hold of a oddly placed knob on the giant gate and swung open a normal-sized door embedded into the gate. "Well let's get inside before the storm brews up again" he said as he hurried me through the door. When we walked in it was like going from a war-ridden land in a deep depression to a peaceful flourishing paradise, the roads were clear of dirt, there was a giant fountain in the main square and beautiful houses and shops all along the streets which were full of people gossiping and trading goods. "Wow this place is amazing" I said, jaw nearly touching the floor in amazement, "Yes, well we try our hardest to keep it that way" Genuls said with a slight chuckle while looking around, "Well I have to go, you be more careful if you plan on going back out again, ok?", "Ugh, I'll have you know that is the first time I have ever been in a situation like that" I said huffing at him.. "Ok ok I was only saying, Well you have a safe trip Shya" he said waving goodbye to me, "You too Genuls and thanks for the help" I turned back looking at the giant pillar before beginning my walk down the street towards the square...
