#17 of Lurking in the Mud

A Commission for Tyzel on FA

Staring at the canvas on her screen Teal groaned and dropped her stylus, leaning back in her chair she rubbed a paw across her muzzle and glared at the offending art work.

"Oh I give up," she growled, lifting her glasses and rubbing at her teal coloured eyes, "This just isn't looking right!"

Pushing herself away from the desk the poodle stood up and ran her hands through her curly cream hair and stalked away from her computer. Pausing at the door she adjusted her jumper and jeans before heading out across the flat toward the kitchen.

Her friend Hazel was sprawled on the sofa, the large brown and white horse looked up as Teal went past but the poodle just waved a hand vaguely at her friend before entering the kitchen. She knew she should have been spending some time with Hazel, she'd come over to visit but Teal couldn't stop thinking about her art project. Once in the kitchen the poodle rattled around aimlessly whilst the kettle boiled, slamming mugs down on the work surfaces and opening and closing cupboards in search of the tea.

She had just finished banging through the third cupboard when a pair of hands on her shoulders made her pause, looking upwards at Hazel she blushed a bit as the horse frowned.

"You do realise banging around out here isn't going to solve your problem."

"I just need some tea," Teal grumbled, "Then I'll be able to focus again."

"No," Hazel shook her head which caused her braid to sway from side to side, "You need some fresh air, come on," the horse dragged Teak out of the kitchen toward the front hall.

"Oh no Hazel I don't want to go out," Teal grumbled, "It has been raining and everything will be damp, I just need some tea and then I can focus on this."

Hazel however was merciless so Teal found herself slipping on a pair of sandals and being pushed out of the flat by the horse. The sky outside was blue, the few remaining rain clouds were drifting apart whilst the sun baked the damp ground.

It was actually quite pretty and Teal found herself smiling as she admired the freshly blooming flowers and the trees in full bloom. Sighing happily she plodded along beside the horse, her hands tucked into her pockets as she looked around and smiled.

"Ok, I give you were right, this was a good idea."

"See," Hazel whickered happily, her large hooves clopping loudly on the pavement, "I knew you just needed to get out for a bit, here let's go this way."

Teal looked in the direction her friend was pointing and nodded. It was a path through the park and then out the other side into the woods and it was lined with shrubs bursting with fresh green leaves and flowers. It was picturesque, quiet and perfect and once past the park the duo found themselves in the rich, loam and bark chip scattered woods.

The trees where all either in bloom or bursting with leaves creating a woodland wonderland of dappled shade and green tinged sunshine as it poured down through the canopy. It was perfect and Teal forgot about her art project or wanting to go back to it and just bounced alongside her friend. The poodles tail was wagging madly, dancing back and forth crazily and she knew she must look silly bouncing about like this but she felt great for the first time in ages.

Glancing sideways at Hazel she saw her friend watching her with a knowing smile and turned her head back to the scenery, refusing to give in and admit that this had been a great idea! At least for now, she just wanted to enjoy walking about and enjoying everything.

"This way," Hazel said, turning off the main path and heading off on a weaving trail between the flowering trees, "I know a great place just up ahead."

Curious Teal followed, it wasn't like her friend to abandon the paths like this. She was a mechanic so didn't mind grease and oil and other such things but was meticulous about dirt and getting soil caked between her hooves. Still it was much nicer away from the path and then as they reached the top of a small slope Teal froze, staring down at what was laid out below them.

It was a small hollow in the woods, surrounded on all sides by trees but the floor was full of thick, cloying black mud. The run off from the spring rains had clearly gathered in this natural dip in the land creating a deep, thick pool of the richest, most delightful looking muck she'd seen since last winter.

"I... Hazel!" Teal turned to the horse and hugged her arm, "Have you been planning this!"

Hazel laughed and started down the slope the big clydesdale not stopping as she reached where the earth stopped and the mud pool started to walk into it. Teal's breath caught as she watched those heavy hooves sink into the mud. They vanished beneath the surface with a thick squelch and Hazel continued to sink, three, four, five inches of her fetlocks sliding down into the thick pool of mud.

"Well?" Hazel asked with a grin, "Are you going to join me or just stand there and watch?"

Barking in delight, her tail swaying rapidly Teal kicked off her sandals and made her way down the slope. She paused at the edge and looked around warily then pulled off her jumper, dumped her bra and kicked her jeans and underwear off onto the pile of clothing. Standing their naked and not minding at all that anyone might see her she jumped.

From a standing start she only maybe managed to cross about a foot of space before her feet hit the mud. Her large bare dog paws slid under the surface and she barked in delight at the feel of thick, oozing mud sliding up her shins! Unlike Hazel she didn't stop there though, as soon as the mud put up enough resistance to halt her downward plunge she bent her knees and flopped forward.

Thick, creamy, slick and slightly warm mud splashed over her stomach, oozed across her chest and without any reservation she buried her head. Holding her breath she plunged beneath the surface of the muck, letting her head sink down until the thick oozing mud glooped around the back of her head so she was fully submerged.

Teal could feel the thick mud oozing through her hair, slicking it down and it felt great. Squirming from side to side Teal rolled onto her back and used her arms to slop two huge waves of thick mud up and over her chest and stomach. Leaning her head back she wriggled her hips and pushed down with her legs, squishing them deeper beneath the surface.

It was heaven, the thick, slick mud clung to her fur, flattening it and allowing the mud to ooze and squish and slide over her skin, reducing her from a fluffy poodle to a smooth, slick, mud coated canine of indeterminate appearance. Sighing happily Teal wriggled lower, mud bubbling and oozing over her stomach, climbing her breasts until they submerged and with a stretch she clenched her toes and wuffed happily at the sensation of mud squishing between them.

With just her head remaining above the surface the poodle smiled up at Hazel and lifted one hand free to hold it out toward the horse, "Come on join me, it feels great."

Hazel lifted one large hoof out of the mud and swung her leg forward to press it down on Teal's stomach, "Of course I am going to join you but first."

The horse pressed down firmly and Teal yelped as her body was shoved deeper. She was forced to close her eyes as the mud oozed up her head and with a gloooorp her nose sunk beneath the surface and she squirmed in delight. Running her hands up and down the length of her body Teal scrunched up her muzzle in delight and tried to stay beneath the surface for as long as she could.

Finally she had to sit up, gasping for breath and groaned at the way mud oozed and slid down her form. It pooled between her breasts and slid in thick heavy waves across her stomach and down her arms. Her hair was a mess, plastered to her neck and skull and she couldn't open her eyes as more mud oozed across her face.

Looking around she saw Hazel standing nearby and then barked in delight as the huge horse plopped down into the mud. Her heavy body drove down deep beneath the surface with a heavy squelch that sent waves of thick, black mud oozing over to slop and swirl around Teal's shoulders, swamping her.

Barking she tried to claw her way through the muck to help Hazel but the horse shifted and pushed a huge, sloppy wave of muck over her chest. Then taking both hands she lifted a massive handful of mud and slathered it into her muzzle and up over the top of her head.

The Hazel she knew vanished, rendered unrecognizable in a second by the thick black mud. It clung to fur, stuck to her ears and reduced her in an instant from a horse to just a mud coated creature.

Laughing Teal finally pulled herself out of the hole she'd created for her body and leapt at Hazel, wrapping her arms around her friends chest and forcing her back into the mud.

"Enjoy yourself?" Hazel ask, with a laugh in her voice but all Teal did to respond was bark before rolling over. She pressed down with both hands, letting one of her hands slide down between her legs as she let herself sink again. The mud was liquid enough that she didn't have to work too hard to sink, swinging her legs around and wriggling in delight as she slipped deeper, fingers teasing and playing with herself as she revelled in the thick, cloying embrace of the muck.

As the thick black ooze slid up her neck again Teal took another deep breath and allowed herself to sink beneath the surface once again. Rolling her shoulders and squirming Teal pressed herself down, her free hand brushing and sliding back and forth across her coated fur. It was amazing and so very thick and clinging she didn't want it to stop.

After at least a minute of just floating, of sinking Teal pushed and clawed her way back to the surface. Tilting her head back she sighed in delight, revelling in the sensation of the muck oozing and sliding down her body. With a happy sigh she cleared her eyes and blinked them open, grinning up at where Hazel was standing.

"What are you doing?"

The horse grinned and shifted her legs, her overalls had sloughed off her body revealing clean patches where the mud hadn't quite got through her clothing. She didn't answer however just fell forward with a splut, right on top of Teal, pushing the poodle back down under the mud.

Teal held her breath and groaned inwardly as her body sank

Back under the surface, she reached down, clawing deeper, pulling mud back and around her body as Hazel's weight shoved her deeper. It always felt so good to just give in, to fall into it and sprawl out and let it soak into her fur and cling to her body.

Hazel was heavy and her arms wrapped about Teal cuddling her and rubbing mud into her body with thick hoof tipped fingers. Teal responded by curling around and rubbing her hands into Hazel's fur, doing her best to return the pleasure and petting she was getting.

When they eventually surfaced they where both a total mess. The mud clung to their bodies thickly, rendering them unrecognizable except as mud shaped creatures. Pressing up against the horses' body the poodle grinned up at her and barked happily.

"You were right," Teal sighed, "This was just what I needed," closing her eyes she sank beneath the surface again, thick mud sealing over her snout as she let curled her legs up and continued to sink, trying her best to make the most of this unexpected break from work.
