Part 1: No Peace in our time

Hell, March, 2008

Maids were busy preparing Beelzebubs breakfast as she had finished her morning training, after almost three months of recovery she was finally satisfied with herself. One of her Guards was standing by with several other demons as Belle's sparring partners, in combination of shadow fighting, throwing out a hard punch against an imaginary enemy, just to work a knot out of the back of her shoulder.

Though one of her sparring partners had twisted her arm, as she'd trained them to do, and her shoulder had become dislocated.- ARGH! -she snarled as it popped back into place, her Generals and other military were watching on. Finally one of her generals commented- "M'Lord recovery seems to be proceeding nicely. - Belle replied in turn- Indeed. -she said as she allowed herself to relax- not quite my best just yet, but suitable. -she raised her hands and clenched them in to fists-

Then she ordered a report - any word of the monster ? -her general frowned- No M'lord. There have been some demon movements, but nothing out of the ordinary. The mortal realm isn't showing signs either, but Heaven has more information on the mortal realm than we do at this time. -Beelzebub snorted in disgust- Isn't that always the case? -she shook her head- regardless ... ensure our earth bound forces know what to look for, and report to us when possible.

-the general saluted and got to work, while a couple of maids came over with her usual uniform and breakfast- Do you require anything else M'lady? -Beelzebub was about to reply in the negative but paused- ... what of the mortal? Any news on him?-the Maids blinked surprised then hesitated- .the...Mortal?...he is...he is being visited by the Neko-Jin currently at his residence...-It was still a jumble of memories, just slight images after their fight in the snow covered forest, the flashes of consciousness B-man shouted for help in the mansion YOU HAVE TO HELP HER! SHE'S DYING!

Devidra ready to murder the mortal at first then calming herself as he came to see her with a get well card, yet Beelzebub had been far too weak to reply. Beelzebub noticeably paused, her head turning away from the maid, seemingly trying to come to some unknown decision. After half a minute she turned to face the maid- Very well, -she took the tray containing her breakfast- keep me updated on him, anything at all, understand?

-the maids bowed- Maid: yes M'lady! - Occe out of ear shot one maid spoke to the other- Strange...why doesn't she just go to see him?-the other maid replied as if the answer was in plain sight- isn't it obvious? I bet that mortal is part of Oggstrosse's forces -From behind one of the Generals spoke- aren't you two jumping the flame? -the two maids jumped in surprise then scurried off to their duties, the general made his way back over to Belle- If you beg my pardon M'lord, but what of the Mortal? Do you suspect something of him?

-she looked at the general. She couldn't be truthful about her intentions, she'd look weak, weakness was frowned upon- ... I do ... -she finally said- ... I do not wish to be taken by surprise again. -she sat down with her tray and started eating- ... once is bad enough, after centuries of failed assassinations for two rogue demons to slip through my defences and weaken me, it is inexcusable! -The General nodded- Shall I have him brought in for interrogation?

-Just as Belle finished eating one of the maids was seen rushing back- M'lady? you wished to be informed. The neko-jin has just left the mortals home. -Beelzebub looked up to the maid- Have the neko followed, but not too close, he is an angel, they can detect us if not careful. -she looked to the General- No ... I'd prefer not to have a live human brought in. It would go against our ... -she snarled in disgust at her next words- "cease fire" with Heaven. -she fought the urge to spit-

the General nodded- yes M'lord...but wouldn't it also cause a "issue" if you would see him?.-she ran her tongue across her teeth, that much was true. But truly, if she just so happened to be in the neighbourhood ... that idea sounded stupid. Fuck it, she'd lie her way through it- If the need arises, I will see to him myself. -the General nodded- Yes M'lord. Shall I prepare a small force to join you?.-Beelzebub grimaced internally- No, that would look far too sketchy ... subtlety is our best choice right now. -Her General nodded- Yes M'lord -he bowed then returned to his duties-

B-Mans Dojo

B-man let off a sigh as he had finished cleaning up the bathroom, he was just making his way into the kitchen to grab his morning coffee when he heard a knock at the door- hmm? ... bet Sky wants another milkshake. Just a minute Sky! -he walked up to the door, but because of the direction of the sun he couldn't see the silhouette as he opened the door- Yeah Sky? -he hadn't focused his mind to sense who it was,as his eyes saw whom it was he froze in sheer terror, slowly his face went white as the blood drained from it. Before him was Beelzebub staring down at him, his legs buckled at he tried to step away but he fell backwards arms up to protect himself-

But he didn't hit the floor as he expected, instead as he opened one eye he could see Belle kneeling over him as she had caught him before he fell- L..Lord Be.. Beelzebub..-Beelzebub looked at him with a reserved expression- Good afternoon.-she'd sent all her spies away from the area, she couldn't sense them, perfect. She and he could have some peace and privacy, for what though, she'd dare not think-

B-man managed to stop trembling- Uh...I... I am glad to see you've recovered. -forcing himself to stand up he tugged on his t-shirt slightly to made sure it didn't wrinkle- um, well I hope you have recovered.-she nodded her head slightly- I have, more or less, not quite as I was before, but sufficient enough. -she put her hands behind her back and stood straighter in a professional manner- your concern is noted but unneeded. -B-man nodded but he couldn't help but look over her shoulder, expecting someone else to suddenly show up- ...your...mother isn't angry at me still is she?..

-Beelzebub replied with a rather uncaring tone- I have not seen my mother in some time. She is not always known to interact with me or my brother unless she must. -she paused in thought- or unless she wishes to torment me in some way.-B-man nodded slowly absorbing that information -hmm well Umm so err, what brings you to this neck of the woods? still looking for that Oggstrosse guy?.-she nodded- We are, the monster is a threat to us all, he must be located and terminated ... or well, contained. He must be contained.

He blinked suddenly remembering his manners- Oh Uh I would you like something to Drink? I just boiled some water for tea.- Her expression changed slightly at the offer- And yes, some tea would be nice, thank you.- but then she paused- .... you will have to invite me in. -he nodded slowly then closed the front door behind her- well uhh come on in -then made his way into the kitchen- It's not much here, but it's home.. -the dojo seemed vary spartan, even by hells standards. The kitchen seemed grand, even a bit overkill- Umm. Is earl grey alright?

-she followed him in then nodded at his offering- Please. -she then turned her attention to the room itself mainly the furniture, the space.- You have much space here.-B-man shrugged a bit at his scratched his cheek slightly after taking out a couple of cups- well Sky had the place built for me while I was unconscious after I stopped Wolf, I guess you heard about that? -turning back to the counter he popped a couple of tea bags into the cups, one each then poured water in- Milk? Sugar?-she could tell he was still tense at her presence, and was trying to downplay it-

Please, two sugars. -she stepped forward- No, sadly I don't, inform me.I know you fought some ... human mortal-demon hybrid the first day we met, but otherwise I know little about you.-he began to tell her a condensed version of what had happened, Wolf the demon, his brother Xavier, then what happened so far since the day he fought Oggstrosse. Yet he didn't go into his own personal life too much, just what had happened to bring him into the situation-

-she noted, looking at him with a raised brow- You must be the unluckiest mortal I've ever met. -B-man replied in with a somber tone - yeah...real unlucky...-he motioned to the living room- I think you'd be more comfortable out there on a couch, than sitting in a small plastic bench, -preparing her tea as she asked he held it out to her- I hope I didn't hurt you that much when you fought...but you were mad as a hornet that you weren't listening -she nodded- No you did not. It turned out the poison had two fold effects, we discovered it to be a part of the Archdemon, not only did it drain me, it started affecting me, as you had seen. I was out of control.

-she accepted the tea with a nod, B-man spoke as they made their way out of the living room -well I uhh. I am glad you are alright at least. - he sat down in the living room in a wooden chair, leaving the couch all to herself, she sat down slowly ensuring her tail didn't get in the way and her wings magically retracted- I am here, fore I fear the Archdemon may come looking for revenge. -B-man stopped as he was about to take a sip of his tea- Revenge?...on what? a weakling human? I thought he wanted the mystic waters only?

-she paused in thought, that had been her only excuse she could think of- True enough at the time, however who knows if he'll come here after he uses the waters himself. B-man leaned back in his chair- So are you saying I'm in danger now? should I pack up and leave as soon as possible? -Belle nodded thoughtfully- Probably both if I were you, but I am not so it is your call. -she took a sip of her tea, she could feel the conversation getting out of hand, she wasn't used to this ... idle conversation was an art form she'd lost practise in-

his shoulders slumped-..damned if I do, damned if I don't...even with the Kayo-ken I can't take him..and bet he is just that much stronger now...-Belle replied matter of factly- You dealt him a blow -she looked at him with serious gaze- the problem is we cannot find him, nor do we know his next move. The very fact he hasn't tried for the waters already worries us, he may try again or he may not even care. We don't know.-B-man placed his cup on the makeshift coffee table then leaned back-...So you aren't just passing by are you?...Sky told me they ran into a dead end. You think he is on earth somewhere...and you want me to try and flush him out ?..

-he shook his head once more the futility of the situation was before him- Sky was right....I should have expected this...-she sipped her tea once more and looked at him curiously- Sky? -He explained- My friend, he is a angel now. -Belle appeared to not know - the neko? -he nodded- yeah...the neko...-he nodded slightly before picking up his cup and took a long sip, leaning back in his chair he went quiet in thought, Belle then prompted- What did he say? -she asked, trying to maintain a professional demeanor, he shrugged a bit- They think he is trying to build his army again, but I guess you thought of that already.

-Belle interjected- Indeed, sadly I know little of the Archdemon, as was stressed before, all of his records were removed to ensure no one would look for his return.-B-man winced- that bad huh?...well I am sure you'd have a far better chance and taking him out. -Chuckling he finally let the air out of it- I'm outclassed by all of you, so there really isn't much I can do..-Yet Belle replied in a positive tone- And yet you beat him before -she gave him a tight smirk- he couldn't help by huff then chuckle once more- yeah after Gabriel fought him...I mean...-he looked as if he was getting flustered by the thought of it again- he was weakened, and I bet he was stalling for something.

-she exhaled- the problem is we need more information on him. Gabriel and his brothers would know more, but they're not coming forward with the information, they're the only angels I can think of old enough to have fought Jack during his war. -B-man blinked as the door opened on it's own- What the hell? Who? -he blinked as a group of demons, Belles Spies and her General rushed in speaking in the usual demonic language- "M'Lord, we are required back in hell. "

B-man got up ready to speak then blinked as Sky, Gabriel and his brothers along with Devidra appeared in his living room, Sky spoke first a bit embarrassed- uhh.. errr.. Hi B,' umm I got dragged along with them.... -he noticed Belle on the couch- .oh god..-B-man now clearly upset spoke- What the hell is going on here?? - Yet Gabriel interrupted- Beelzebub? -he looked between her and B-man then to the demons, his brother Raphael spoke clearly sarcastic: Such a big surprise, a demon breaking the rules.

-B-man blinked as he looked between the two groups- what rules? -Belle huffed focusing on the angels- if you wish for another repeat beating Raphael I would keep talking. -she looked back to her Generals and replied in Demon- {Did I not specifically inform you all not to bother me! I should have your heads for this.} -Sky spoke up-...don't you think the "rules" have been thrown out the Window by now?... -Gabriel grunted- Enough bickering! -Her General grimaced as he replied-{ But M'lord, we have reports from some of our scouts....the "Graves" of the arch demons generals have been breached}

Belle blinked- ... why am I only finding out now he had Generals? -The General shook his head- a informat...I was trying to find you but you had already left hell...-Gabriel grunted- Alright everyone stop talking!-B-man fell back into his chair-...well..happy hunting all of you...-Gabriel spoke again- As unorthodox as this is, we're all here now, -he looked to B-man- if it's alright with you Mister Devlin, we'll have our meeting here, now.-B-man blinked-h..here? ...-he was about to protest but knew better of it-...yeah..yeah fine...well..guess I'll get a pot of coffee going ...

-sky leaned in and whispered- mind if I get a milkshake too? -B-man sighed- yeah....-Belle raised a brow at him, they'd all heard him- A milkshake? What are you, five? -Sky grinned- Don't knock it till you try it M'lord...it isn't as good as Dixie's but it's close. -B-man let off a sigh-..well...hold the fort will you Sky?...I guess I'd better go out and get some snacks or something for our guests..-B-man then remembered-; oh uhh.. there's one of those fold out tables in the training area...more room in there -Sky nodded then paused to look at his friend, he leaned in and whispered- you were having tea with the ruler of hell...-B-man blinked:...yeah so?... -Sky whispered-: I mean...weird isn't it?.. -B-man shrugged- at this point...nothing will surprise me...-he got his shoes on then rushed off to the store -

Sky blinked then looked at Devidra whom was silent-.. Uh..right..coffee...tea...let's see if I remember how to do this... -he scooted off into the kitchen, Devidra sat down, seemingly amused all the while Belle looked to Gabriel- Enough silent treatment, a month ago I didn't know this monster existed, now I find out he has Generals? -as the meeting got under way B-man came back soon enough with some shopping bags, some baked goods and such. more drinks etc. he found the ground in his dojos training area talking in languages he had never heard before-

-Belle threw up her arms and groaned before speaking in demonic- {You mean to tell me! That this terrifying monster had help ? -Gabriel sighed- it's how he gained his army to begin, he found leaders of demon tribes, some demons others looked down on like the succubae or some whom were considered simple minded like the thunder-demons and recruited them. He had many generals but three stood out. The succubus queen Freya, the lord of the Thunder-Demons Khal-Zirak and the Master of the mind demons Malfross

-B-man leaned in and whispered to Sky who had a straw in his mouth- what's going on? -Sky tried to explain- three demon generals it sounds like.-B-man tried to pluck up courage as he saw the meeting was getting far to tense- Uh look you've been locked in here for a few hours now, maybe take a break? walk around a bit?-All eyes shot to him then After a few tense moments, Beelzebub was the one to act first- Yes ... -she said in English- he's right, we need to clear our heads.

-B-man watched the gathered get up, a few had walked outside into the afternoon sun. He couldn't help but notice Belle walk around the inside of the training area, looking at the various bits of old style equipment, along with a few photos of the previous students, his sifu. He turned back to Devidra - Umm...More to drink M'Lady?..-Devidra looked to him, an unreadable expression on her face then nodded in confirmation- Please.

-B-man nodded then asked-Uh...r..right. Coffee, tea? something else?-SkyGrinned as he looked at his friend-: milkshake?-with a sigh B-man asked Devidra-milkshake?..-Devidra glanced at Sky- ... milkshake!-B-man nodded- Milkshake...-he turned and walked through the siding doors back to the normal living area, Sky sighed as he watched his friend walk out-:...poor B....-Devidra glanced at Sky- Hmm?

-Sky motioned with his thumb to Beelzebub- he.must have been scared to death at Seeing Beelzebub again... -he glanced over to Belle who was looking at the weapons rack that held some To and Bo Staffs with a couple of nunchuckus, Sky wondered aloud- wonder what she was doing here....-Devidra shrugged slightly- We'll never know.-Belle picked up one of the staffs with one hand, the weapon suddenly being engulfed in hellfire yet didn't burn away, she looked it over and began twirling it around expertly with only her fingers-

-B-man stepped back into training area with a large glass that was already frosted slightly- Umm here you go M'lady, one strawberry milkshake -He paused from the sudden glint of flame -hmm? whoa.....-Devidra took the offered glass and grinned at his expression- Something have your attention? -B-man replied- weapons expert too huh?...-Devidra smirked-Is it really a surprise? She's centuries old. -Then Sky leaned in and whispered- you two aren't dating are you? -B-Man's eyes widened in alarm-: WHAT THE HELL BROUGHT THAT UP?!

-Devidra suddenly roared out with laughter While Sky grinned in his usual feline fashion- NOTHING! -B-man grunted as he looked at his friend- Neko-Jin Smart ass!.-Belle turned suddenly dropping the bo-staff onto the ground- Hmm?-as Belle turned she saw B-man's Grabbing the front of the Nekos uniform with his left hand while right arm back ready to punch Sky who was holding his hands up- B:You're a nut and i'm going to give you a crack!-Sky was trying his best not to laugh-: I surrender! -B-man let go of Sky then turned and made his way back into the kitchen-

B it was just a joke!-Sky followed his friend, there was a sudden exchange then Belle would see Sky being thrown out the front door- B; SMART ASS! AND STAY OUT TILL I SAY YOU CAN COME BACK!! -Beelzebub rolled her eyes and shook her head, B-man walked back in then moved up to Belle- B:..my apologies m'Lord...Big mouth bass... Umm -he knelt down and picked up the bo staff then placed it back on the rack- most of it is just for display really...haven't had the heart to use any of the equipment ...just doesn't feel right with them all being gone...or use it in front of your giggle fitting mother...

-Beelzebub growled quietly and turned her gaze to her mother- Ignore her. -she looked to B-Man- you can certainly handle yourself, even against an angel. -B-man shrugged a bit - well I was given these -he tapped one of his wrist bands- Some sort of special training or something like that. Sky gave it to me as I gift so i'm not sure how much I've been able to improve over the past few months..guess I won't know until I try to multiply my Kayo-Ken attack I guess....

-she nodded, only half listening- Indeed. -she looked around the room- despite the help you've given to me before, I take note that I know next to nothing about you. You live alone? -he nodded slowly- pretty much...been like that for some time now, sometimes I go out and help a nearby neko village. -he chuckled slightly- their "Neko Protector" as corny as it sounds..-She simply exhaled sharply through her nose- ... very -she said dryly-

that being said, I'm really not -he tried to think of the right words to use- that interesting to be honest...kinda mundane as well if i'm honest. -a silence fell between them, it was just very awkward for this sort of meeting. a mortal and a deity of her status just made it that much more awkward, Yet she then chuckled- Not interesting? And yet you show much combat promise for such a young human. How?

-his eyes darted to her then back to a picture of his sifu, slowly he walked towards it and reached up to straighten the frame- No one asked if I wanted to fight a demon, or save heaven and hell, or loose the only ones i called a family. I really don't have any answers for you...-She glared at him, knowing he was trying to deflect the question- Good, because that isn't what I asked. -she gave him a pointed glare-

-she leaned closer to him and inhaled sharply three times. Taking in his mortal scent- You're a full-blooded mortal human, I'd say ... -she sniffed him again- older than twenty but no older than twenty-eight. So human, how did you become so strong in such a short space of time? -B-man stiffened-....because I pushed myself...and then that weird couple of scrolls I found.....but I hit my limit...SKy tells me I sort of...made a bastardized version of the attacks...

-she nodded slowly- ... do you have these scrolls?-slowly he nodded then walked over to one of the martial arts symbols then rolled it up, he took out a small box next then placed it down onto the found out table-.. there..-a good portion of the teachings and writings were faded at first glance- that's all there is...-Beelzebub looked over the scroll- It is old indeed ... but still, I am older. -she could read most of it then she frowned at B-Man- It is good you "bastardized" the reading.

-B-man replied with a slight shrug-well...I took it to the library...someone tried to help me translate it...well..I guess they are yours I guess.-he shrugged then glanced back at Devidra- or does your mother take them?. -Belle shrugged -My mother tries not to involve herself ... but she's always been a hypocrite ... no, these scrolls are not mine though I know their origins. Wizards and mages wrote the scrolls centuries ago, to try and unlock demonic power.

-B-man blinked a few times- but the other was for fighting demons...-She looked down at him now very serious- It is lucky you messed up the translation, sufficient enough to work, but damaged enough to not destroy your soul. -he blinked then rolled out the one scroll- this is some of the stuff, I even wrote it down -he took out a few pieces of paper with some writing on it- points on a demons body are all common, hitting these points with sufficient force and energy can cause demons to either be incapacitated or destroyed all together -..well it didn't work on Wolf because he was a mortal possessed...and Jack well...it didn't seem to work either....

-she nodded- You must be careful with these, -she said as she analyzed them- they are very specific and situational. For a demon to come to the mortal realm, usually they must take on a more mortal uh .... -she paused to wonder how to phrase it- form, a more mortal form, for example, inside this form of mine now is a heart, lungs, the general internal organs. They work at keeping this form alive.

-B-man raised an brow slightly as he absorbed what she was explaining- so in essence, the scroll's teachings would work on me, currently. However, if a demon is truly freed from Hell, then these scrolls are worthless. -B-man let off a long sigh- great...so I guess they are pretty much useless now...-Belle shrugged slightly- against Jack, I do not know. I don't know the nature of which he is on Earth

-he chuckled some as he rolled out the scroll to the last part- well.. guess this is a lie then -he chuckled as he pointed to the last bit, it was faint yet it stated that if done correctly a demon wouldn't return to hell to be "reborn"- guess all I have is the Kayo-Ken...or..am I even pronouncing it right? -he couldn't' help but chuckle- Ah well -rolling up the scrolls he placed them back into the box then popped the lid back on-

Beelzebub shook her head- ... which is true, but again, the demon would have to be "mortal bound" then yes, you'd have killed it. Nevertheless, it is most interesting you located such scrolls. I had believed them destroyed. -B-man shrugged-...well..I found them by a river, after I stopped the volcano from blowing I think I just staggered around. Maybe they were buried and after the blast and earthquake it must have brought them out of

-he stopped himself as the doors to the dojos training area opened again- and the meeting starts again..-Beelzebub looked at B-man square on as she spoke in a tone that didn't leave him any options- You may join us, we need all the help we can get. -B-man blinked, clearly shocked - wait, what? me!? -he held his hands up- whoa whoa whoa, why me now all of a sudden?

-Beelzebub stepped up to B-man, her crimson eyes began to glowing- You beat him before. Thus you are a part of this. -B-Man tested the waters - what if I'd rather not get involved? ...or...-he turned to look at the group then back to Beelzebub-...you think I am part of it and want me to go to keep an eye on me?-she leaned closer, her eyes starting to glow menacingly and she started speaking quietly-- believe me mortal if I truly suspected you

-she snorted fire from her nostrils, her voice now barely a whisper- we would not be talking. -though calm the threat in her voice was undeniable, his eyes locked on hers before he moved back- pardon me...I need something to drink..-she stood up straight- Very well ... -she made her way towards the others to continue the meeting, in the kitchen B-man leaned on the countertop thinking- why the hell do these things happen to me?

Sky meanwhile had come back into the meeting as well, he heard everything that was going on. The biggest matter was of Jack getting his army back, Belle began the meeting again- So back to Oggstrosse and his generals. -she heaved a great sigh-

Gabriel: As I said, after Jack was imprisoned, his army fell into disarray, but they were not defeated, for a decade or so his three last generals tried to keep the army together and fight back against the growing resistance forces but they failed. Malfoss the psycho demon was imprisoned as what the Thunder Demon Khal-Zirak. Both away from each other and away from jack.

-Beelzebub couldn't help but ask- You said three, what of the last General? Freya the succubus, what of her? -Gabriel looked to his brothers who shared a concerned look, It was Michelangelo who continued- It um ... -he rubbed his hands nervously- Her final stronghold was destroy by our forces, but we never found a body. So it is likely she is dead. If not, no one has heard from her in over a thousand years so -he shrugged-

-Sky rubbed his chin a bit-..so there were some demon movements or something in Ontario you were saying?..-Sky paused then walked over to one of the mirrors looking at a map-...hmm.. -B-man stepped up to his friend with a raised eyebrow- what's up Sky? -Sky glanced back to his friend then back to the map- To make his army.. souls need to be gathered right?.. -Gabriel answered- Correct.

Sky motioned to the mirror as a projection appeared- B...you don't think? ..-he pointed to one spot as B-man leaned in to look closer as the image expanded- the nuclear power station? -Gabriel rubbed the fur on his chin thoughtfully - Would Jack even know what one is? -Beelzebub replied while walking over to the image as well- Perhaps he doesn't need to, if he can sense all that power, he'll target it. -It was B-man who let the air out of, paling as he spoke- But, if his followers are of this time. I mean Xavier mentioned it to me before we fought..-Belle looked to him- Hm?

-B-man shrugged as he motioned to the image- a Following or cult of sorts. -Gabriel questioned- perhaps descendants of Jack's army? -Belle tried to get to the point- regardless of their origin, he must be stopped. -Sky looked to his friend- if they cause that thing to go into meltdown, millions would die in the first blast, then the fall out...

-Gabriel lead it to the final conclusion- Jack would gain a powerful army in less than a few hours, so many tainted by his corruption. -he shook his head- we have to go now -Belle scoffed- Without a plan? We could be walking in to a trap. -As the group tried to figure something out B-man was talking with Sky, almost in a panicked tone-we need to evacuate as much as possible. -Sky grimaced -that would be a big breach wouldn't it?...

-Gabriel grit this teeth- We can't evacuate. We have to deal with Jack directly. -B-man looked to the powerful being before him- looks like it's your big chance -he looked at Beelzebub then down to the floor- not sure what I can do..-Beelzebub grunted- You can be the one to interact with other mortals if we come across any.
