The Extermination

Also, this is my first story, it is clean (yiff wise) and probably has multiple errors, due to the fact I'm using a small laptop keyboard and its late
My name is Preston, in 2012 I was 21. I will not tell you any more about myself, to attempt to keep myself anonymous at this time. This is my story:
December 21st, 2012. Somewhere in the Ontario Outback
When the first ship came in I was spending the night out in the dunes, nervously talking with my Girlfriend, Sara. We have been together nearly a year now, and I thought we were going somewhere with our relationship. We had every right to be nervous, after all, today was THE day. No one knew what would happen, we were all hoping nothing would. It was about 11:30pm when the first alien cruiser entered Earth's orbit, and me and Sara were still talking, sitting on the hood of my Ford F-150. When we saw that ship, we both just stared. Nothing happened for over five minutes, so we got back in the truck, and I drove just a bit faster than I should have back to the city. After dropping Sara at home, I crashed at my apartment in Toronto. I'd tell you the address, but its not there anymore.
December 22nd, 2012. Toronto, Ontario, Canada
The ship was all over the news, and I was watching it live. About halfway through the reporter's report, what seemed like millions of pods launched from the ship. What followed was Chaos, all caught on film by the fearless Cameraman. To bad he got crushed under some rubble when the pods landed. I heard a lot of screaming, and buildings and pavement be hit, and the trembling! I felt my building get hit, and then all the TV got was static. I got up, and paced the room, scared as fuck! I mean, what the fuck are these things and why are they fucking here!? I called Sara on her cell, but got no answer, I panicked. I ran outside and into the driveway of the apartment, and looked around. As far as the eye could see, there was panic, and rubble littering the streets. Suddenly, the pods started bursting open, and odd creatures stepped out of them, hunched over. As the light shone on them, I saw their them in their entirety. I nearly pissed myself in fear. They had blue skin, were nearly 10 feet tall, and as far as I could see well built humanoids. The odd thing was their heads, which varied in shape, had two beady eyes, two holes (presumably noses?) but no mouth, and no hair. I quickly jumped in my truck and sped away from the scene. The aliens grabbed weapons out of the pods, like none I have ever seen before, and started firing at me and the crowd. I guess they had shitty aim, because not one of their projectiles hit me or my truck. I pushed the petal to the metal, speeding towards Sara's place. It was the same scene everywhere, people being shot at by these aliens, and rubble and body's littering the street. I saw a cop firing at the aliens, he took one down but was quickly killed by the others. Fuckin' idiot.
