Lyon wanders off to think about his current situation only to get the faithful guard and Flava into a situation with him.

After, Lyon talks about his homeworld with Marsy, the ships mechanic and his close friend.

*The jungle was quiet this morning, a thin sheet of shining ice covered the browning plants that made up the jungles floor and tree tops. Lyon stepped outside and looked around at the decaying jungle, his heart drooped. Brown was a dead color back home. Trees and plants would only turn brown in death yet they all do the same now even though he knew they weren't dead.

With a sigh he started through the shrubbery, brushing past crunchy leafs and strong bark covered tree trunks. He wandered for a few minutes until he came to a great jungle tree that reached into the sky. Lyons eyes tried to follow the tree up, though he lost the branching trees arms in the light mist that slowly overtook the jungle. A hand grabbing him jumped him out of his trance. The security guard and Flava were behind him, the guards tail was lashing about* "Where do you think you're going? You can't just leave camp alone and not tell anyone. You might have got lost if it wasn't for Flava telling me you left"

*Lyon sighed* "I'm sorry, I just needed to get away. The jungles vibrant greens have been replaced with the color of decay... I needed time to think on my own" *He tried to explain only to have the guard snap at him*

"That's foolish! We don't know what's out here and you wanted some "alone time" in the woods? A predator could come and sink it's teeth into your foolish little neck!"

*Lyon hadn't really thought about that. Most times when he went into the jungle was when he was back home in jungles where most predators were gone or feared felines and canines.

"I-Im sorry ok... Let's just head back"

*Lyon starts before glancing around. A thick most had swept over the jungle, obscuring their taken path into the jungle. Flava shivered some and looked around before whispering* "I think we're lost now... What should we do?"

*The guard growled some and drew his energy rifle from his back*

"We try to find out way back. Come on, stick close. I have a bad feeling about this"

*The three walk close together, Lyon and Flava following close behind the guard. He as probably the only one with survival training which made him their best shot at getting back to the ship.

The trio walked for what felt like hours, the mist didn't relent. Finally Flava groaned* "I can't walk anymore! I need a rest"

*The guard growled a little but waited as Flava took a seat on a nearby moss covered log. The sound of a snap sent the guard into a defensive posture with his weapon at the ready. Flava hung by her feet from a vine rope connected to the trees above. Lyon quickly looked around, trying to spot if anyone was after them.

A figure in the mist caused the guard to fire a pulse of his energy weapon at random into the mist. The bolts of energy slammed into rocks and trees with thuds, each shot leaving a blackened charred mark.

The guard panted light and slowly scanned around before suddenly feeling a sharp pain in his chest followed by a loss of breath. Lyon looked at the guards chest and found three arrows sticking out of it. The guard gasped for air in his final moments before falling to the jungle floor.

Flava screamed from above, making Lyon panic. The feline dashed for the guards energy rifle. He slide on his knees and reached for it before being stopped by a stone blade to his throat. Lyon looked up at his attacker only to see the wooden headress of some tribal. Loose furs and feathers hang off the wooden face mask. The figure speaks in a smothered voice* "Tird valki va?"

*Flava who was calming down was desperately trying to free herself but on hearing the figure speaks, she opened her VSAT and recorded a bit.* "Get it to say more Lyon!"

*She pleaded. Lyon swallowed hard and slowly moved back from the knife and rifle. From the mist came five other tribals, each in their own headress and fur robes. A few held bows while other carried spears. Their leader, the tribal who held a knife to Lyons throat, spoke again* "Taldala? Vork car narsais?"

*Flava typed furiously away on her VSAT before happily pipping up* "He's asking if you want to kill him! Hold on! " *She hits another button and speaks aloud* "Telvani nasa Kar! Vir Flava cadre Lyon!"

*Flava used her translator to decode the tribals language and speak some back to it, though it didn't help Lyon very much.

The party of tribals got Flava down and backed away from Lyon. One picked up the energy rifle and pointed his spear at Lyon. The leader spoke again to Flava who translated for Lyon*

"They want to take us back to their home. They aren't sure if we mean them any harm or not. Just, stay calm and follow close to me. The hinting leader says they'll stab you if you make a wrong move"

*Lyon nods and almost hugs Flava as they walk through the jungle. The tribals never remove their headresses and masks, though they are still able to easily traverse the jungles harsh terrain.

The group soon finds themselves walking past walls of woven bark and vines into the center of a hut surrounded village. The huts were made of bark and loose grasses. None of the villagers dared come out out, the only hint of their presence was their glowing eyes peeping past the furs that covered a huts doorway.

The tribals stop at a large hut in th center of their village. White paintings of beasts and hunters fighting marked the huts outer walls while a plume of smoke Rose from the roof. Flava entered the tent with Lyon, both at spear point.

Inside the two are greeted by elder looking tribals with white thick fur, and feline faces. The head elder, a old feline dressed in green robes, stood up and looked directly at Lyon* "Tyaki von hisl!"

*Lyon looks to Flava expectantly* "He says you're from the stars just as they are...."

*Flava looked shocked, this time from surprise of felines excisting outside of Felani. There's no way this could be a coincidence, there had to be a reason for felines... Or an off shoot race to excist on this uncharted planet.*

Flava got the tribals to take us back to camp. The elder and her said few words but they seemed to accept that we were peaceful though the Head Hunter refused to apologise for the guard since he almost shot another hunter.

The head elder got the other hunter to take us back to camp, the whole way the hunter wore their mask and head dress for some reason. Possibly some sort of code for their hunters?

When we got back, Triss greeted us and was over joyed we were safe. She was mad about the guard but sent Virk and Flava out to get his body and bury him. Hired help isn't something to remembered by Triss I suppose.

I'm going to go talk with Marsy, she seemed really interested in the village. I was more interested in the feline aliens we found. How could they possibly have gotten here? Why are they reverted to a tribal stage? It's been a roughly thousand years since our race was in that stage of civilization.

I'll take some time to think over today, after all the Elder told Flava they are willing to trade with us as long as we respect their people.

*The days soon grew much colder, ships thermometers pegged outside temperatures at an average of 34°F with each night slowly growing colder than the last.

The Lotus' heating systems easily fought off the cold outside temperatures, leaving the surivors to rest warmly in their beds.

Marsy and Lyon had been spending the past few days together. She would tell Lyon about the ships power core and engines while Lyon would try his best to bore her about the electronics that helped keep the power core stable or about the many gismos that powered the engines. Marsy wasn't bored, she listened with caring anticipation for what Lyon had to say even if most of what it meant was a mystery to her.

Marsy and Lyon were growing close, close enough that Marsy inquired about Lyons home planet*

"Where did you grow up?" *Marsy asks while taking a seat on her plain white cot. The two were resting in her quarters after tending the power core all day. Her quarters were small, much like everyone else's save Trisses, with only enough room for a single bed and dresser. Both were welded into the ship, keeping them from floating while in space.

"I grew up on a small Agri-World in the outer colonies. We sold live stock and textiles to other planets in the empire." *Lyon stated ith a small hint of saddness. Lyon didn't like thinking of home, it made him miss it more. It also made him feel like others would belittle him, thinking him as a backwater planet dweller who was barely able to read and count despite his job.

"I didn't hit a soft spot did I?" *Marsy said while scooting over on her bed to give Lyon room to join her.

The feline sat down next to his friend. He sighed a little and shook his head. He didn't want to seem cold* "No no.. I miss home and my family is all," *He would smile a small bit. His mind was filling of memories of home and his family* "My home planet is smaller than most colony world's. We grow a lot of plants meant for making fabrics and textiles. At the beginning of dry season you can smell the sweet scent of Bolra Pods popping in the fields. Makes walking home all the better though."

*Lyon relised he was rambling about home and quickly shut himself up.

Marsy could tell her feline friend was holding back. She playfully punched his arm and teased* "Come on! I'm the one that asked. I wouldnt have asked unless I wanted to know."

*Lyon rubbed his arm and flattened his ears* "Ouch! Ok ok! Sorry"

*He took a deep breath and began thinking more about his homework* "Bolra pods pop at the end of the wet season and at the beginning of the dry season so farms start needing a lot of help to harvest the pods and ship them out. Most Agri-Worlds use slaves or indentured servants but our world had banned eithers use so me and my brothers usually got all sorts of credits."

Marsy cut him off* "You have brothers? I never knew that!"

"Yeah... I suppose I forgot to mention it. There are 12 of us not counting me. Me, Vega, Thorn, and Fallyn are the oldest. We got jobs during the dry seasons so when Unification Day comes around we could help our parents pay for a big feast." *Lyon smiles more as he thinks of the many great Unification Days he'd had. Unification Day being the day the Canines submitted to the Empires rule, ending over 30 years of grueling war between the Fang Empire and the Sovereign Carnis Clans.*

Me and Marsy spent a lot of today talking to one another. She was asking me a lot of questions... I think she may like me more than friends though. I've never heard of anyone listening to someone blabber on about their home and not have feelings.

In other news, Triss has gotten Flava to giver her the translations of the Tribals languages for her own VSAT so now those two can understand and talk to the Tribals. I feel like Triss might want to barter off some of the cargo for extra food. If so then I really hope the Tribals have something sweet.
