You smile at the elf."Excuse me, mistress, but could I hold on to that favour for now?"

"If you want to, then go ahead." The elf nods, and conjures a book from under her pillow, beginning to read. You quietly tip toe towards the door on the left, and you try to open it.

As you open the door, you are aware this is not theoretically possible. How you could be standing on a bridge across a chasm the size of the mountain you are in defies belief. This area around the door is well lit, but even with your keen eyes you cannot see any ceiling or floor with in torch range. One hundred metres across a narrow stone bridge is a door.

You exercise caution trying to cross the bridge, walking slowly and steadily along the middle, but before you get ten yards a huge number of large tentacles rise from the bottomless pit. You stare in amazement, as one of them swings at you, connecting against you like a golf club hitting a ball, and sends you spiralling back through the open door and into the elf maiden's bed. She barely looks up from her book she is reading, and you pick yourself off the floor.

"What was that?" You ask politely. But the elf just smiles at you.

"What did it look like?"

"It looks like ten thousand years of octopus inbreeding." you reply, and the elf laughs.

"It's a tentacle creature, and it is very protective of it's little realm. If you try again, at least tell me the names of your close friends." She goes back to reading her book.

Now what? Left, Right, Straight, or favour with earlier choices.
