#16 of Sonic the Hedgehog

Awhile ago, I didn't have anything to write, and so I turned to the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog universe. It's something I had read since I was a child, and I had, at one point, wanted to write stuff for it. So, a friend of mine likes the girls of Sonic and is pretty kinky, so as a gift, I decided to write up a pairing he thought was hot, but I had to think of how it would work. The resulting work was the first two chapters of "Mongoose." I had written something for it later on for chapters 3 and 4, but had never uploaded it. Now, I'm trying to get back to expanding on my work beyond Tik Tik.

New Mobotropolis has never been more lively. Since, the defeat of Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik by the hero, Sonic the Hedgehog, peace in Mobius has reigned supreme. And because of this, the life of Councilwoman Isabella Mongoose has been more and more monotonous, with most decisions coming down to petty politics in the nearly utopian society. So, that's why she leaves the council-chambers wishing that something, anything, would spice up her life.

"Mooom!" comes the voice of her daughter. Isabella has to do a double take when she sees her there, staring in disbelief. "Mina...?" she asks, her arms outstretched.

Mina practically tackles her mom, wrapping her arms around the councilwoman and nuzzling her cheek against hers. "I've missed you so much.

Patting her daughter on the back, Isabella can't help but then pull her back and ask. "Is something wrong? You're supposed to be on tour."

Mina shrugs and grabs her mom by the wrist and says. "Eh, let's not talk about business. Come on. When was the last time we had a heart-to-heart?"

Isabella sighs and says. "Alright, alright. Shall we go to your place or mine?"

"Neither," the pop idol says. "There's this place down the way that's really sweet.

"Uh, okay. Well, lead the way!"

"Mina..."

"Yeah?"

"When you said you knew a place, you didn't mention that it was a bar."

The chattering of Mobians fresh off of work and winding down fills the bar. There's an atmosphere of camaraderie here, which is added by the bright-eyed turkey tending the bar.

"Hey, Fanny," Mina says, sitting in one of the barstools. Isabella follows suit.

"Pleasure to have you here again, Miss Mongoose, and welcome, Councilwoman Mongoose."

"Please," Isabella says, holding a hand up. "Isabella."

Fanny nods. Mina orders the first round, and it comes quickly. She takes a sip and sighs. "A little stronger than what I'm used to, but it's not bad at all."

"I learned a lot of new things out on tour," Mina says. "Expanded my worldview. Tasted different experiences."

"Sounds lovely. You might make for a more qualified Councilwoman than I with that kind of experience, but there's now way I'd put that boring job on you."

"Aw, come on. How many times was the council chambers the scene of some crazy villain's evil plan? Can't tell me that's boring."

"After awhile, it does get a bit repetitive," Isabella remarks, a smirk on her face as she calls for another round. "But what about you. You're supposed to be on tour. Why are you here?"

Mina sighs, swishing her drink around before she chugs the rest, slamming the glass on the bar. "I... I needed to speak to you," she says.

Isabella sits up straight. "What... what for?"

Mina shrugs as she contemplates her new glass a moment, before taking another shot. "I just... miss our talks, you know? Pretty much my whole life, I only really had you to talk to. I never had any real friends. Sure, we were safe for awhile when Robotnik first took over, but... when you were taken from me, I... I knew I had to do something. I knew I had to rescue you."

"Aw, sweetie," she says, placing a hand over her daughter, and giving her a warm squeeze. "You have a hero's heart. You get that from your father, rest his soul. But, you don't need me anymore. You were still a young lady back then. Now, you're a full grown woman, with all the money she could ever hope to have, and a boyfriend who loves her and-

Mina's glass trembles in her hand at that, and Isabella leans in, whispering. "Mina, what happened?"

"I... I broke up with him..." Mina says, taking another drink.

Isabella takes a quick sip herself, feeling the nerves starting to get to her. "Well, did... did he do something?"

She bats some tears from her eyes and chuckles. "Nah... nothing like that," Mina says, smiling whimsically. "It's just... we realized we're better off as friends. We grew up, grew older, grew wiser, you know?" she raises her hand for another round, but leans over slightly off of her stool.

Isabella catches her and stands up, a little buzzed herself. "Alright, baby, I think its time we get you somewhere to sleep this off."

"Yeah..." Mina sighs, leaning into her mother's shoulder as the two women leave the building.

The two women step out to the platform in front of the establishment, and Nicole conjures up a taxi for them both. Isabella slides in first, helping to guide Mina into it as the car drives them back to the councilwoman's home. Isabella places her hand upon her daughter's thigh, squeezing it tenderly as she gives the girl a soft smile. "You can nap if you want, that's fine by me."

Mina sighs, resting her shoulder upon Isabella's shoulder. "Mmm, thank you..." she sighs, her eyes closed.

Isabella feels that warm joy that's been missing from her since her daughter left the nest and leans in, pecking Mina upon the forehead. "Sweet dreams," she says.

Mina turns her head and kisses back, her lips pressing against Isabella's. The two share that sweet peck for a moment, but then, Mina's mouth opens slightly, her tongue licking against Isabella's lips. "Mmm, I love you..." Mina whispers, before snuggling up against her shoulder once more.

Isabella hops back, her heart beating a million miles a minute. That singular moment, that shock of the feeling of her daughter's tongue, that surprises her more than what she would expect. But not for the reasons she thought it would. She clutches her hand over her heart and watches the resting girl, no, the woman. The one who couldn't get the words out, the one who has always had boy trouble, the one, Isabella realizes, snuggles up closer to her than she has since she was a small child, pressing her thighs together to keep her hand between them.
