Skyclaw looked at the bounty board, wearing his dark knight armour as if it's a second skin, the upper half of his helm balancing on the spear tip of his halberd whilst the lower half was hanging from the axe by the strap, the haft planted firmly on the stone. His free paw ran absentmindedly ran over the details of some of these bounties, all for hunting missions of certain bandits.

Luckily, he had a choice on how to send them in. Alive, or dead, but he was going to send them in alive.

He may be a Void Knight, more commonly referred as a Dark Knight, but that doesn't mean he has no morals.

He carefully unpinned a bounty for this anthro rabbit, J. A. Krabit, informally known as "Springheel," located at a place called Wailing Falls. Tucking the bounty paper into the belt and quickly checking the map he has of this kingdom, Skyclaw pulled the mail hood over his head, strapped the lower half of the helm on and placed the upper half on top, forming the visage of creatures unspeakable, and setting off out of the city.

Walking past farmland, all different crops being tended to by communities. This was close to the city, where they could be protected, but not even a full community could produce enough to feed a city and themselves year round.

Reminds him of home.

Skyclaw stopped on the dirt track to stare over the farmers, his mind wandering back to his past.

He used to be like them, a farmer, a slave to the land, but he was only 7 when he was allowed within the Void Knights. Unlike this kingdom, Skyclaw's home kingdom saw the two higher orders as something great, but this kingdom saw them as quick routes to fame, fortune and power.

For the many years after the day he was taken from his home, he was trained in the arts of the Void Knights, as they chose him. This included channelling the powers of Void, a dark energy that has a neutral standing in the energy order, same with its counterpart, Bright. The amethyst on the pommel is the conduit to Void, yellow sapphire being the conduit to Bright.

But, as what was lectured into him time and time again, Void uses the very health of the user as its power source, meaning a Void Knight could kill themselves using their powers, which only debilitate their opponents.

Skyclaw shook himself out of his reminiscence, and resumed his trek to the Wailing Falls.

This Springheel wasn't very clever.

Didn't even keep a vigilant scout at the front of the Falls. The scout was exhausted and looked like they were sleeping while standing.

A swift throw of a fist-sized rock to the head sorted the scout out quickly.

Skyclaw quickly dealt with Springheel's cronies with brutal efficiency. No need for flashy moves when your weapons suck in light. He took any jewels to sell and any coin

And now he knew why this place is called the Wailing Falls. The way the sounds of the wind and the waterfall rushing into the cave made it sound like banshees wailing.

He found Springheel cowering, and exhausted, but high up on a distant platform. Living up to his nickname, without a doubt.

Springheel began to shout at Skyclaw, to which the Void Knight just stared.

'Silence breeds discontent' was what his teachers told him. 'When the enemy is fully discontented, take them out efficiently.'

It didn't take long for Springheel to lose it, grabbing a leafhead spear and leaping off the platform, the spearhead glinting.

Skyclaw stepped to the side, and Springheel's spear contacted the soft rock of the cavern, but the rabbit rolled when he missed. Skyclaw snuck a quick look at the spearhead, not seeing a dent on it.

'Is it....?' Skyclaw surmised, as Springheel stood up and took a heavily practiced stance.

An ex-Dragoon, it seems. An interesting fight, this will be.

The amethyst began to crackle to Skyclaw's command, ready to channel Void to the tiger-wolf.

Skyclaw finished dragging Springheel by the ears to the city's prison, the guard surprised at who dragged in what and instantly recorded in the logbook.

"Follow me, and keep dragging him like that, if you want," the guard announced.

Skyclaw shrugged and kept dragging Springheel by the ears, despite the rabbit's many curses and threats. After the guard shackled Springheel's ankles, they paid Skyclaw for the bounty and left.

Skyclaw took another bounty for an alligator and headed out once more.
