Item A001: The Obelisk
#1 of The Vigil
The Order of the Silent Watch is a side project I'm doing directly inspired by the SCP universe and based in my Tendrils in the Dark multiverse setting. Each entry is categorized by whether its an artifact, creature, or phenomena, its potential as a threat (safe, moderate, extreme), and whether it has a pleasure rating or not (comforting, ecstatic, rapturous). As I'm currently running an rpg which is considered the main canon for my setting at the moment, I will refrain from giving out certain "redacted" information, so as to not spoil the story for my players. When the rpg is finished, I will eventually post 'higher access level" versions of the document.
Though a lot of this information might seem excessively vague at first, I hope that eventually you will begin to piece together the puzzle that is the Order of the Silent Watch and come to a greater understanding of the Tendrils multiverse and the monsters, factions, and anomalies that are in play within it.

Item: A001-A The Obelis

Containment Proceedures: Item A001-A through E are to be housed in secure bunkers lined with lead in the [REDACTED] on [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and several other secure sites in multiple universes. Armed guards are to be stationed outside at all times. Only Order members with Clearance Level 5 are to be allowed inside.
Description: Item A001 is a large onyx obelisk with runes now known to belong to [REDACTED] from the [REDACTED] period. 001 was found deep in a cave system on [REDACTED], [REDACTED] surrounded by advanced technology, even by modern standards. Upon discovery by [REDACTED], the obelisk's runes appeared to "activate" and light up. [REDACTED] then passed out, experiencing an instense and vivid vision.
The Vision: [REDACTED] Described his experience as "Euphoric", "Terrifying", and "Causing a deep sense of longing". The vision involved scenes of [REDACTED] and their fleet searching for [REDACTED] throughout the known Multiverse. [REDACTED] felt their need to find it as his own need, describing it as "being incomplete, like there was a hole in his heart that could never be filled without [REDACTED]". Eventually the fleet found their target. [REDACTED] was momentarily bombared with sensations of sexual and emotional euphoria. But something was wrong. [REDACTED] felt the need strongly. "Like a hunger....a lust." [REDACTED] witnessed the fleet suddenly begin to break apart as numerous tentacled creatures began to emerge, seemingly from the [REDACTED] themselves. This incident is now referred to as Corruption Event 001. One by one their ships broke apart as the tendrils start to merge and grow larger and larger. [REDACTED] estimates that about 90% of the fleet was destoryed, with the remaining escaping after the entity, now referred to as Threat Alpha, imploded, causing a rift in reality. This rift then sent Threat Alpha into another universe, theorized to be Universe [REDACTED]. The remainder of the vision appeared to show how the survivors of the [REDACTED] fleet built multiple instances of Item 001, spreading them through the multiverse in order to warn future civilizations of Threat Alpha as well as [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] awoke some hours later, apparently naked and covered in his own semen, with an unyielding erection. [REDACTED] then proceeded to weep and masturbate to orgasm while thinking of [REDACTED].
Known Effects: A001 causes unconsciousness in any intelligent being within a 8 meter range, after which the being will experience an emotionally and physically intense vision. During the vision, the being's body will spasm violently. Some test subjects have been observed to mutter the phrase "[REDACTED]" in multiple languages. When the scenes of [REDACTED] are reached, just before Corruption Event 001, subjects will experience powerful multiple orgasms, ejaculating sexual fluids at a rate far beyond expected norms, ignoring the male refractory period. This is true even for subjects who have experienced sexual dysfunction in the past and regardless of sexual orientation. Once the vision is complete and the subject awakens, typical effects include the desire to masturbate, extreme increase in feelings of love and empathy, and a sense of longing for [REDACTED]. These effects end after roughly two to three days.Further Instances of A001: Since A001-A's initial discovery, containment, and subsequent founding of the Order of the Silent Watch, several more instances of A001 have been located. A001-B through E are currently being housed in appropriate containment facilities. It is unknown how many instances of A001 exist, but it speculated to be in the hundreds of thousands.
Notes, Researcher Goren: How am I supposed to find more of these things when all my clues are redacted? I'm starting to think they might not want me to find any more. Its obvious they don't want people to know exactly what's in those visions. More red tape getting in the way of my work. Love my job.
