Tamera the Maned Wolf

Tamera, a female maned wolf, felt the cool breeze on the back of her neck. Sighing in joy she turned her head sideways to feel it along her face. Her paws were silent on the pavement and her tail wagged slightly at the caress of the cool air. She enjoyed walking at night. And it really had nothing to do with her being a wolf and everything to do with the fact that she just loved the night! The moon hung heavy in the velvet sky as if pregnant. Beautiful, she thought as she watched it.

She was on her way back towards her home after a mile long walk. She didn't have work the next day so it was the perfect time to indulge in her long late night walks. Her skirt swished around her ankles as she walked and her bangles chimed lightly with the swinging of her arms and movement of her legs. She loved the sound of them; all tinkling and making her feel free in some strange way.

She nodded her head towards a female bat carrying groceries home. The woman nodded back and smiled a bit and then carried on with her course of action. Smiling she picked up her pace a little and swung her hips a little more in happiness. The scent of night flowers and freshly dewed grass hung heavy in the air and made her feel warm and tingly, almost like getting high and extremely happy all at once.

"Hi there," she heard a deep male voice say from behind a light pole she had just passed. Spinning around quickly she saw a nicely dressed ferret leaning on the wooden pole.

"Oh, you scared me," she said breathily, smiling and shaking her head.

"I'm sorry. You just looked so happy that I thought I might ask you what you were smiling about," he said apologetically and stood up straight. He was tall and lanky, like most of his kind, and the suit made him look important and business like in a casual way. His fur was kept short and straight and not a strand looked out of place.

"Oh I'm always this way when I go walking. I love the night air and the calmness and the beautiful scents you find at dark that you can't find during the day," she said enthusiastically and waved her arm around to incorporate everything around her. "It's the most lovely time to take a walk before going home and going to bed. Very good for relaxing after a long day, or night, at work too."

The ferret thought about this and then nodded his head in understanding. "Makes perfect sense. It is rather relaxing without all the traffic and busy people running about. But I guess you already knew that, didn't you," he chuckled and Tamera giggled a bit.

"Well, I have to get home. Got a big day tomorrow and I have to be up in nine hours." She nodded towards him and then started to back away, waiting for him to reply before turning around completely and making her way towards her own home.

He took a step towards her and motioned his hand towards a shiny black expensive looking car parked a few feet down the road. "Would you like a ride? If you have to be up in so few hours why not save yourself the time?" His voice was low and pleasing to hear. Not an ounce of mischief could be detected, he sounded like he genuinely wanted to help her.

Of course, Tamera's momma didn't raise a stupid pup. "No thank you. I only live a few blocks up and I really would like to finish my walk. I wouldn't be able to get to sleep knowing I didn't finish it. Stupid OCD I'm afraid," she said lightly. She didn't want to hurt his feelings but she really didn't want to get into the car.

"Well if you're sure then I'll let you be on your way. Thank you for the conversation and I hope you have a good sleep and an even better tomorrow," he said and bowed his head slightly in politeness and defeat before walking towards his car, his heels tapping loudly on the pavement.

She watched him get in, waved slightly at him, and then watched as he drove away. Sighing she turned around and started her journey back home. She really lived more than a few blocks but she was close to home and she really wanted to finish the walk. She tried to tell herself that she didn't hurt his feelings and tried to enjoy her walk but something was niggling at her. Brushing it off she hummed a tune and walked.

He watched her walk away knowing she couldn't see him. Smart for not getting into the car. Nice trick to not hurt my feelings either. But my master will hurt me worse if I don't get you, he thought to himself as he watched her hips sway in rhythm. He felt his cock harden. It had been to long since he'd had a woman, way to long since he'd had a fresh clean woman like the wolf. He rubbed himself hard to ease some of the pressure and then moved his car around and into the shadows so as not to be seen by her as he followed behind her.

Taking out a pair of keys she unlocked her glass screen door and then her not-so-see-through front door. She could hear her answering machine beep to let her know she had messages and she sighed. She didn't want to deal with any drama tonight, not this beautiful night. But she couldn't ignore whoever it was and so she gave into the inevitable and pushed the damning button.

"You have two new messages," the monotone voice said to her. She pressed the play button and waited for them to start.

"First message received at 9:29 P.M. on June 2, 2013," she said.

"Hey Tamera, it's me Pam. Wanted to know if you were coming to the party this weekend. It's supposed to be great and it would be greater if you would come. Call me, Bye!" A loud high-pitched beep followed after the message.

"Tamera, call me when you get this. I have to talk to you. Bye."

"You have no new messages to--" and she pressed the delete button and sighed before flopping onto her fluffy couch.

She wasn't interested in any parties and she definitely wasn't calling Richard back. That poor lion couldn't get it through his skull she wasn't interested in him anymore and wouldn't leave her alone. She had tried everything but couldn't get him to go away.

Closing her eyes she let herself relax as she listened to the silence and tranquility of being alone. She would prefer to have her friends around her but they just wouldn't shut up about parties and other males and their love lives. She just wanted a nice, drama free time without all the hassle of getting dressed up.

He parked his car outside of her house. Her lights were on meaning she was still up. That's okay he could handle her. Pulling out a small tranquilizer gun and loaded it up with a few special bullets full of a medium dosage so not to damage her. Sighing he opened the door and stepped into the night air. Looking around he listened and watched for anyone that could place him here when she went missing. A few teenage bats were having a party down the block but they were so absorbed in their own lives they wouldn't notice anything unless something big happened. Shaking his head at the noise he walked up towards her house.

It was a beautiful house. Large and Victorian it had a wrap around porch and large windows to let in maximum light in. The windows were covered with sheer curtains and he could faintly make out her shape on the couch. Taking a deep breath he opened the screen door easily thankful it didn't squeak as most doors did now a day. Nobody could be bothered to oil the hinges it was ridiculous really. Taking out a small item that looked like a pocketknife he pushed a button and a long rod shot out. Inserting it into the lock he pushed another button and it fit itself to the lock design and he unlocked it easily. Handy little gadget his master had given him when he had lost a Clydesdale a while back because he had to climb through a window since his lock pick broke.

Shivering in memory he opened the front door and sighed silently that it was smooth and quiet also. Stepping into the house he was impressed to find it immaculately clean and tidy without being to uptight. It gave you a feel of comfort and order and made you want to sit and relax. And he found her lying on the couch with her head back and her eyes close. She had passed out on the couch.

Tonight was his lucky night. Not only did he find the perfect female for his master his prey also fell asleep on a couch. Wow, you'd think she would be more careful but he wasn't complaining. If she wanted to get caught then he would be only too happy to oblige her.

Pulling out the gun he cocked it and aimed at her. Her chest rose and fell softly with her slumber, the light played off her soft and shiny coat, looking as peaceful in sleep as she was vibrant awake. He wanted her, he wanted some relief, he wanted to feel free like this she-wolf, and he couldn't be free... not with his master still alive. Of course, the old man could only live for so long... and he pulled the trigger with a grin on his face.
