A small breeze, which smell strongly of flowers and aged wood, circled around me, tickling my sensitive nose. I looked up and saw a pastor of lunar flowers surrounded me. And beyond the field was something that lurched in darkness.

Like all me dreams, this is how it started.

My head wiped around the sound of a wolf howling in the distant darkness. This was a howl I have come to now real well. It was a sad sound, a sound of loneliness. It promised of danger, mystery and companionship. And strangely enough, I was comforted by this howl. And for some reason, I was drawn to it.

Without any command, my body started pulling itself toward the eerie, yet beautiful sound. But when I stepped forward, the scene instantly changed. I was now running in those mysterious woods. I was running from someone.

No--wait! Not running from someone, to someone. My mind told me. Keep running! It urged me. So I kept running toward that howl, searching for it and more importantly . . . the owner of it.

My speed picked up as I felt myself getting closer. My heart leaked to find this person, whoever he or she is. My muscles stretched as I raced down the woods. With each heart beat my pace quickened. My brain started to clear from its hazy state and my breathing became more fluid. They came up in rough, ragged pants. Ok, come on. I got to find this person. I got to find this person. I got to find this person. . . .

My head turned when I heard a branch snap and the repetitive thumping of a heart. I looked to my right and saw a wolf--a wolf!--running parallel with me. His strong legs cared and push him forward with wickedly fast speed. He looked strong and content in his running.

In that instant, he turned and ran away. "Hey, wait!" I yell. I changed course and sped after him. But I could see was blackness. Where did he go? And we did he look so familiar? Why I knew him did not matter. I had to find him.

The moon popped through the roof of the trees, cascading the earth with a snowy white blanket--kinda like when snow falls in the chilly winter. Small pools of moonlight sprinkled around me.

I neared a stop when I felt his presence--the wolf's presence. I came to a opening to where a big bolder laid at the edge of the forest, and on that rock sat the silver-furred wolf.

I stopped short of the rock and started at the wolf. But when I blinked, a young man sat where the wolf was--where my wolf was.

He looked down at me and smiled. His eyes were glowing yellow and a fang glistened in the pale moonlight, and was that a wolf tail I saw? The moonlight reflected of his body, making his skin more pale and translucent.

"Ashstin?" I asked my voice a faint whisper.

"Hi, Darren," He said, smiling down at me.

And then the dream ends.
