Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a Thanksgiving Journal
Hope everyone's having a good day whether or not they're celebrating Thanksgiving. All friends and family all went of to visit their friends and family this Thanksgiving, so I bought fried rice yesterday and saved it to warm up today for Tiliquain and I to eat.
This may seem odd, but the Chinese takeout place five minutes from us makes the best fried rice we've ever had. She loves the vegetarian and I love the special with shrimp pork and chicken.
Tiliquain made some cornbread, I made some asparagus, and we had honeydew mellon for dessert. Very non-traditional, but good Thanksgiving dinner. It gave me a break from cooking since I cook all the time. I rarely eat anything I didn't make, so some takeout here and there keeps me sane.
A lot of my energy lately has been going in to take care of my husband's geriatric cat while my husband flies planes around. Today has been relaxing, well, except for when said cat found a way to cough up the antibiotic pill I tried to give him. He had blue stuff all over his face. Had to bathe him with a wash cloth.
Now that I've written this, I think this is the strangest Thanksgiving I've ever had. LOL
