Regrets
She was tall
Had skin like fall
She knew she was smart
But that wouldn't be enough
She had fought for it all
Every minute she spent
She knew it would've meant
Giving it all up for him
Not knowing she was only part of his whim
She couldn't take the fall that was coming
He walked down that hall humming
A soft tune that she knew
As it gently passed through
Her head and mind
Kept it playing on rewind
She was valiant and bright
She had met her knight
Not knowing he would seal her fate
After one deadly date.
She spent her time
Looking at his face
Knowing this was probably a mistake
She gazed at his body,
Though he wasn't really a hottie.
She thought he was smart,
Not knowing he was actually dark
They wen't home at two
Knowing what they wanted to do
He stripped her down as they kissed
It was a hit and miss
The night of her life
Would soon become a heavy strife.
She laid in the dark,
After he left,
A one night stand
Wasn't anything grand.
She had hoped he'd stay,
Rather than make a move to play
He left her in the dark
Cold and stark.
The sun rose with a gleam
Though it had to seem
Like it had been weeks
since she's seen those golden streaks
She moved into her kitchen
Not looking for anything specific
She grabbed a bottle
sat down for a moment
And here came the trouble.
Her mind was flooded with thoughts
He lurked every moment of time
Though she didn't need to see him
She knew he haunted her
What bugs us the most,
No one knew that was her ghost
We didn't know her strife
Til she took her own life.
