Soon enough, the runt and the rogue pair of Indominus Rex found the Stegosaurus herd. We climbed up on a nearby building to get a good view, even from this distance we heard the Runt's collar say "bet you can't take one out on your own"

The rogue let a soft growl out before he charged at the herd, quickly singling out a large male that insisted on standing it's ground and fighting, taking it's defensive position with it's head far from it's attacker and it's swinging tail close, one good hit with those nearly three foot spikes would easily take the Rouge out, maybe not instantly, but he would go down.

The Rogue roared, only a few feet away from the swinging spikes of death. The Stego hesitated and debated if it was too late to run, but that gave the Rogue to bite down right in front of the spikes, a loud crunch and a deep, distressed call from the Stego was evidence enough that it's main weapon was taken out.

At this point the Stego was pulling to try and slip away and with another crack, a shard of a small plate stuck in the Rogues gums, making him hiss and let go, letting the Stego sprint away.

A scared, running Stegosaurus is faster than I would have expected, but the Rogue just had to jog along side him. After a few seconds, the Rogue took his chance and opening it's mouth wide, slammed into the Stego's chest, knocking him off his feet only to proceed to pick up the Stego and slam it into the ground again, crushing more bones and damaging vital organs.

The Stego spat up blood as the Rogue walked away, not even bothering to finish it off, instead leaving it to bleed out as he reunited with the runt and walked away.

I jumped off the building and ran towards the dying Stegosaurus. He still remembered me and calmed down slightly. He groaned.

"I know" I replied "I know it hurts" I knelt down and gently patted and stroked the Stego "if I could help, I would help... If I could make it quick, I would" a tear ran down my face.

The Stego coughed up blood and died.

We didn't have time to morn the loss of another dead animal, we had to keep up with the Indominus pair, we got back on their trail and found them stalking the Brachiosaurus herd. Seeing their opportunity, they vanished.

"Wha-Where did they go?" Gena questioned.

"cuttlefish DNA" I said "Just like in Jurassic world, we gave them cuttlefish DNA so they could grow faster... Turns out that they can also change color"

Gena nodded, trying hard to see them.

The Brachiosaurus called out in pain as bite and claw marks started appearing on her from the Rogue's attack. She rose up on her rear legs, threatening to stomp the invisible threat. When she came back down, the shock was enough to shake the Rogue free and become visible.

He jumped up to his feet and roared as the Brachiosaurus reared up again, the Rogue just a bit too far away to get hit. Seeing her opportunity, the runt charged in and shoved the Rogue, making him turn and hiss angrily before the Brachiosaurus came down with the Rogue easily in range, her feet landed right on his back and quickly crushed his spine, putting a quick end to a monster as the Runt ran off to hide form the enraged Brachiosaurus.

Gena, Matt, the Rogue and I all walked back to the docks, more or less in silence. I tried contacting the mad doctor, Marks but only found a prerecorded message saying how surprised he was that we survived and killed the rogue and something about revenge on everyone.

We got to the docks and had to say goodbye to our friend, the runt. "It was awesome knowing you" her collar said "you've given me and all the animals on this island a good life and I thank you for it"

"this doesn't have to be goodbye" I said.

The runt sighed "I wish it wasn't, but do you really think it's a good idea to bring a 40 foot movie monster to the mainland?"

"well" I said "what if we stayed"

Gena slapped me, I could tell the runt was upset with the idea too "it's way too dangerous" her collar said "with all the other dinosaurs, damaged buildings and that weird scientist guy"

My radio chimed in "I hear your talking about me" Dr. Marks voice came through "I trust you got my message"

"Yes we did you psycho bastard, what the hell do you want now?" I spat back.

"Language" he joked "I need your opinion on something, I just blew up the dam and am only saving a few animals and I need a good operation name, I'm thinking either Operation Clean Sweep or Operation Noah's Ark"

"You blew up the dam?" I questioned, not trusting him.

"you best hurry up, that boat can't stay forever" he replied.

We could hear the rumble of the many tons of water rushing towards us. I ran up and hugged the runts leg, it was all I could reach as Gena walked up, the runt lowered her head, allowing Gena and Matt to give her a little hug.

Soon enough the runt said "ok guys, it's time for you to go"

I wiped a tear from my eye "good bye, I will remember you well"

Gena and Matt let her go "good bye, it was nice knowing you"

As we got on the boat, the runt said "good bye, love you lots"

hearing that made me start to cry, I hugged my family tight. The boat started pulling away and soon was going full throttle to get away as fast as it could. The waves broke over the trees as it came into view. The runt roared out one last time "good bye, my friends"

I had to look away as the wave hit her.

_Hello everyone, Nitro here, thanks for reading Mesozoic Park. I originally wrote the story back in 2015 under the title of "The New Dinosaur", it was okay, but I decided to rewrite it, I've made huge advances in my writing quality and I consider this rewrite much easier and better to read. I've managed to get a few fans in both times writing it and maybe someday I'll write a sequel. _
