#1 of Something Horrible

Jade awoke in his crib and hugged his Charmander plushie, looking around as Archer lifted him from the crib.

"Hey buddy, good morning." Archer said as he carried Jade to the changing table.

"Gwood mowning awchew." Jade replied as he was changed. Archer finished and carried Jade downstairs to the kitchen where he sat Jade in his highchair, and set down a plate of pancakes for both of them. Archer sat down at his plate his orange tail tip flicked back and forth in thought.

Jade plowed through his pancakes and looked up with pancakes in his whiskers.

Archer laughed and got up and grabbed a wrag, he cleaned Jade's face.

"You're so cute." Archer told him as he lifted the young kitten from his high chair and carried him outside.

"We're going to the park." Archer said.

"Yay!" Jade cheered, as Archer buckled him into the car and gets in the front seat, then they pulled out of the drive.

Archer pulled into the parking lot, the moon was high as Archer stepped out and unbuckled Jade. Jade rode in Archer's arms as they walked into a restaurant and sat down at a table.

"Yay, yummy." Jade exclaimed as he was handed a menu. Suddenly a hooded figure stood up and held up a gun and began shooting random furs around the room, he aimed at Jade and time seemed to slow as the bullet left the gun with a bang and Archer pushed Jade side, causing him to slip of the edge of the seat as the bullet penetrated Archer and the young fox slumped to his side, eyes staring sightlessly. . .

Jade leaped onto the chair as the hooded figure dashed out of the restaurant. No!!!!" Jade exclaimed, crouching down beside Archer. "y-you said you'd never l-leave me, you s-said you'd always p-protect me!" Jade hugged Archer and began to cry his tears soaked into Archer's orange and white fur.

Eventually he stood up and looked around before his eyes settled in Archer.

Jade felt dizzy as he stared down at Archer, he turned and ran out of the restaurant. He ran down a street, oddly enough no cars drove down the road, he stopped in front of the park.

Jade stared out into the park, his brain picking through the day, had they gone to the park like Archer had said?? He couldn't remember, when had it gotten dark, the moon high in the sky suggested it was midnight tho it only felt like a couple of hours since that morning. Then something big hit him, the plushie he hugged that morning. . . Something had been wrong. He only had one plushie, a Pikachu! Archer's tail tip was orange it's suppose to be white, what's going on!? Jade turned and ran on towards his home.

Jade walked up the steps when the door opened and in the doorway stood a figure Jade had not seen in a very long time.

Jade looked up at his mom, someone he hadn't seen since her death.

"I-is daddy h-here?" Jade asked shakily, looking down at his paws.

"Oh honey, what's wrong." His mom asked, lifting him into get arms, "you look like you've seen a ghost." Jade snuggled into her arms and breathed in her scent. They entered and Jade's father was sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper. Jade was set on the ground and he ran to his father.

"Daddy!!" Jade exclaimed, as he felt old emotions riding up again. "I missed u so much." Jade hugged his leg as his father posted him on the head.

"It's pretty late honey, time for your bedtime story and sleepy time." Jade's mom said, lifting the kit into her arms and carrying him up the stairs. Jade purred as he was carried into his room and laid in his bed. His mom read a quick bedtime story, about a knight that stormed a tower and saved a princess, before kissing him goodnight and leaving.

Jade curled up and began to fall asleep.

"Hello! Jade? Can you hear me?" Jade's head shot up of the pillow.

"Who's there?" Jade asked, and began to shiver with fear as his Pikachu plushie lifted it's head and looked at him.

"It's me, do you remember me?" The Plushie asked, turning it's head slowly to look at him.

"N-no I d-dont." Jade replied, confused and afraid, but the plushie didn't reply.

"I'll get u out off here, I can't quite reach you yet, but I won't give up." The plushie said those last words before falling limp.

Finally the day ended and he lay in his crib again staring at his plushie.

"Jade! Can u hear me?" The plushie said in a voice Jade recognized but couldn't put his paw on.

"Y-yes." Jade replied, bewildered.

"this place isn't real, don't trust them or you'll be stuck here forever!" The plushie said, once again in that voice.

"O-ok, who are y-you." Jade asked.

"It's me, yu-" the plushie slipped over before finishing the sentence. Jade curled up, confused and crestfallen at the new information, he was so happy, what now?

Jade awoke and looked over at his plushie suspiciously, before crawling towards his mom's two paws reaching down to lift him up.

"Morning sweetie." mom said, checking his diaper.

"Hehe, mowning mama." Jade replied as he was carried downstairs and given a bottle. The TV turned on and before long Jade was enthralled by the cartoons as his parents made their own breakfast. Jade suckled on the bottle as he watched the funny cartoons acting out their crazy shenanigan and soon it was empty. Suddenly the TV wasn't so important as a thought entered his mind. I don't remember my mom's name! Or my dad's! What's going on? He looked over the top of the couch his parents say at the table eating breakfast. Everything seemed normal, but as he watched he noticed no food left the plate even tho they kept acting out the motions of eating.

He say back down, none of this is real, he realized and I'm stuck here as well!
