I ran towards the docks, only slowing to help someone up, when I got there, I was panting hard and fast to catch my breath, I reached into the broken front of a vending machine for a bottle of water as I asked a crew member "is Gena and Matt on board?"

He shook his head "No sir" he said "we haven't seen them all day"

My heart skipped a beat, but I took my time for once and finished off the water before tossing the bottle aside "Make sure everyone thats alive is safe, I'm going to find them" I said as I got ready to start looking.

He was nervous, but replied "g-good luck"

I nodded and started jogging, I wasn't sure where to look, so I headed back to about where we split up and looked around for where they could have went. I ended up finding some broken branches that would be in someones way if they ran that way, being the only trail I could find, I started jogging down it.

The distorted voice came through my radio " You'll never find them, Jake" it calmly said.

I stopped dead in my tracks, growling and baring my teeth I replied "I swear to god, if you dare to hurt my family, I will do everything in my power to return the favor... Tenfold."

A sliver of fear came out in the distorted voice "I have little to do with them being missing, I'm only responsible for the extended power outage"

"I believe you told me that" I calmed slightly and continued to jog down the trail "Why are you doing this anyways?"

"You've given me the genetic playground I've dreamed of for so long, Jake" the distortion slowly faded "I just want it free of humans"

"Dr. Karingson!" I exclaimed "I always knew you to cause trouble, but all of this, is it really worth it!?"

I heard him chuckle "oh it's worth all of this and so much more, I'd love to talk about my brilliant plans, but I hate to tell them to someone I don't care for, but I assure you, if you survive your little search, I'll give you a little taste of whats to come"

I continued to jog, the setting sun soon gave way to night time, making me slow my jog to a speed walk, calling out to Gena and Matt from time to time in case they could hear me. Every hour, on the hour, Dr. Karingson would check in on me, he would tease me, but he sounded excited to unveil what he plans to show us.

Night dragged on for what felt like forever, I started to realize I was going in a big circle, whoever or whatever made this path was trying to loop around and get back to the park.

Exhaustion was really taking it's toll on me, running and jogging so much with no sleep, if I fell down I might fall asleep. I stumbled into a small clearing where I saw my Troodon pack had a pair of people, maybe some kind of canines, cornered.

I gave a little whistle before shouting "hey!" at them.

The alpha turned to face me, she remembered me as her mom, but as far as she knew, I was trying to take her place in the pack. She hissed and fluffed up her feathers.

I didn't want to start a fight, I carefully knelled down, holding my hands out, palms facing them.

She quickly relaxed and I stood back up before approaching them, my hands still held out. The alpha made a soft cooing sound and looked towards their cornered prey.

I shook my head and pointed in a random direction in the woods "no, you can't hurt them, get out of here"

She became agitated, making a loud, cackling call.

I gave her a little shove "No!" I exclaimed.

This time she hissed and turned her attention away from them and towards me, squatting slightly, ready to pounce.

I growled slightly and punched it across the face, knocking it off balance and sending it staggering away. The others looked at me for a second, I pointed at the disoriented alpha and they quickly followed.

"Jake!" a voice excitedly called out as I found myself tackled and pinned to the ground as I was hugged and kissed.

I didn't want to fight or run any more, I started to cry, I felt like I lost everything.

"w-whats wrong?" the canine pinning me asked.

I couldn't really see them, it was dark and they where pretty much on my back. "I think I lost my wife and son" I replied, the thought really bringing out tears.

She almost laughed "Jake sweaty, you can't get rid of us that easily"

"w-what!?" I questioned "Gena, Matt, get off me, let me see you!" they hopped off and I sat up. I was ecstatic to see their smiling faces, I quickly pulled them into a tight hug "oh my gosh guys, tell me what happened."

As they hugged back, Matt replied "shortly after we split, the Troodons separated us from the little group and they only just than got us cornered"

I started to look around, getting my bearings "we aren't too far from the hydro dam, lets head that way"

As we got on the move, I said into the radio "Hey, much to your surprise, I found them, now if you want me to see this big project you keep nerding out over, do me a damn favor and have a vehicle by the dam for me to drive the three of us to the docks"

He didn't reply.

We made it to the top of the dam, while the Indominus pair found the bottom, they roared at us, we couldn't hear them over the water, but we felt as they headbutted the bottom. We raced across as a crack formed and they gave up.

We got off the dam and the runt came to us, alone "Hey" her collar said "I have a plan but need your help"

"And whats the plan?" I asked, gesturing for Gena and Matt to get behind me.

"I just need for you to point out where you think the Stegosaurus will be" her collar replied "I think they stand a chance against him"

I nodded "Well, the old enclosure wasn't far from the lab, get close to the park and you should be able to track them from there"

A roar came from the rogue and the runt roared back, before turning to face us and saying "I gotta get going now" before running to get back with the rogue.

We didn't see a vehicle of any kind anywhere, so we had no choice but to follow the Indominus pair, close enough to see them, but far enough that they can't hear us.
