Love and Pain side story: The Queen's Ace
My name is Ace. I'm a member of the Fur assault squad or F.A.S for short. We are the ones the government calls in when all their other plans fail. I am currently on my way to see an old friend and get my next assignment. I have been on planet Wyvern for a while now. It's not a bad place to live if you don't mind always having to look over your shoulder. I'm a tiger/ wolf hybrid. I am about 6' 2" with bluish green fur and black stripes which is the only thing that sets me apart from a common grey wolf besides the color of my fur. I came to planet Wyvern after Kira forced most of the furs off our home world. Wyvern is the reptoid home world and I am one of the few furs that are still alive or free. The reptoids don't like furs and I am no exception but I am pretty well known and they know better than to start a fight with someone who can turn them into hand bags with little effort. As I approached the reptoid palace gate the guards let me in but not before hissing and bearing their teeth. The only thing that the reptoids hated more than a fur living freely among them is a fur with government clearance. I have visited the palace before and even gained the friendship of their queen. They wanted to rip me apart but they knew that if they tried their queen use their bones to pick her teeth. After walking into the throne room I watched as the queen entered the room. She was a pure white dragoness with a golden under belly and sapphire blue eyes. She also stood 10 feet tall and wore a white kimono. A raptor walked up to me with an angry look on his face. "Kneel before the queen you inssssolent fur!" he hissed getting ready to pounce. "If you touch him I will skin you alive." The queen dragoness growled extending her talons. The raptor immediately bowed his head in submission and left the room. "I am sorry about my servant. Good help is so hard to find these day." she said. "It is no problem your majesty." I said. "Ace I have told you a million times to call me Sora. You and I have been friends for a while now and you don't have to use formality when taking to me so don't." She said smiling. "Is that an order?" I asked with a smirk. "Yes." she said with a smirk of her own.
(Flash Back)
I was a rookie back then and it was my job was to be a security guard at the council hall where the politicians had their meetings and diplomatic talks. Even though she was a dragon she always treated me with respect and dignity. She would always greet me when she arrived and always said farewell when she left. One day I was assigned to guard the door as the politicians entered the building. I saw Sora walking up the stairs waving to me. I was about to wave back when something caught my eye. Up one the roof of an office building across was a fur aiming a rifle her and she didn't even know that she was being targeted. I knew that if I didn't do something fast she would be dead and that would cause a huge incident and maybe even a war especially because the assassin is a fur. Without hesitating I ran up and pushed her out of the way as the bullet hit the ground right where she was standing 3 seconds ago. "You just saved my life." she said with shock in her voice. Before I could reply I was pinned to ground by two of her body guards who both had guns at my head. "Release him right now!" she roared. They obeyed and let me up. "I apologize for my guard. Sometimes they can be a little over protective at times. I want you to meet me here after the meeting." she said as she walked into the building. After my shift was done I waited for the queen to show up. She did but she was not alone. Standing right next to her was a black dragon. He was about 10'5". His scales were jet black and had bright yellow eyes and stripes on his back and a red under belly. To say he looked fearsome was an understatement. I realized that he must be her mate and the king. I immediately knelt to the ground keep my eyes closed so I didn't meet his gaze. "Do you kneel out of fear or respect?" He asked. "I kneel for both reasons your majesty." I answered truthfully. "Smart answer fur." he said. "Stop scaring him Hades this is the one I told you about." the queen said. You may stand fur. He said. As I did he looked at carefully and the queen whispered something to him. He nodded and left us alone. "I am very grateful that you saved my life so please name your reward and you shall have It." she said. "Thank you your majesty but I was only doing what was right so no reward is necessary." I said. "Well can I at least know the name of my savior?" she asked. My name is Ace." I said. "It is nice to meet you Ace my name is Sora." She said smiling. It wasn't long before Sora and I became good friends. She even made me an honorary member of her guard. When I heard about her mate's death I gave her a shoulder to cry on. He was in a mating duel and lost. (A mating is when 2 males fight over a female.) Her new mate Kira wasn't anything but a piece of garbage to me. He claimed her right in front of her kids. He was abusive and hated furs with a passion. When Sora fell ill he said the only cure was the powder made from Fur bones. She refused to take a cure if it meant the death of an innocent life. But Kira went through with the attack and killed 75% of the fur population. He pursued them to earth afterwards.
(End of flash back)
"I have a mission for you Ace. I want you to bring back my daughters alive if possible and I want you to terminate Kira, Thorn, and Pyro. Their actions will not be tolerated. Ace I don't want to put you at risk but I am still too sick to go to earth. Please save my daughters from those monsters and bring them home. Here are their most recent pictures and hear is your gear. I had them custom made for you." She said handing me two double edged katana and an electronic wrist band. "What is the wrist band for?" I asked. The wrist band has a small warping chip that will transfer you to earth safely but it only has enough power for one round trip. I am certain you will succeed." she said. "I will save them and all of the furs as well I promise." I said shaking her paw. After packing a few things I activated the wrist band. My vision started to blur and then everything went black..... When I finally woke up I was sitting on a beach that looked like a hurricane hit it. Everywhere I looked there were trashed houses and the I pick up a scent that I knew all to well and it made me want to vomit. "Well at least that piece of garbage Kira is here somewhere. "But First I think I'll scout out the area. Kira may be a king but in the game of war the ace beats the king every time." I thought to myself
