Athena and I finally broke our embrace. She wiped away all of her remaining tears and had a warm smile. That smile soon disappeared when she saw the claw marks on my face. "Where did you get these marks? Who did this to you?" She asked with her voice full of concern and worry. "Kira did this to me. He kept telling me that you were just pretending to like me. He said that I was just a pawn to you and you wished you never met me. But I knew he was lying. He was trying convince me that you were an evil person but I know that's not true. You are the nicest person I have ever met." I said. "Thank you Chase that means a lot. But I think I can heal those scars. Now just hold still and turn your head ." she said starting to smile again. I did what she said but what she did next made my head spin. She wrapped arm around me and licked my cheek where the claw marks were. I was speechless. When I turned to face her she was blushing. I then noticed a human girl starting to get up and she was covered in cuts she didn't say a word. Athena just bowed and the girl did the same and along with that vixen fur. "Your scars are gone by the way." Athena said in a loving tone. I walked to a near by car and looked in the mirror. Sure enough the scar were gone and my cheek tingled from the lick. "Chase you can't go home. And you can't live out in the street. So where are you going to stay?" Athena asked. "I have a house in the city the beach house is just a vacation home." I said. "Good I'm glad you have a place to stay...." she said. I could hear the sadness in her voice when she said that. "Athena do you have anywhere to stay?" I asked. She shook her head. "Then you can live with me." I said. Really that would be great but what about your parents?" she asked. "They are always traveling so they don't live with me. They pay for power and utilities." I responded. "Will your girlfriend mind?" she asked,. "Don't have one." I said
"I would love to stay with you Chase. Just let me get rid of this armor" she said as she undid the straps and pushed a button on her wrist plate. I couldn't help but stare as she did this. Underneath her armor she wore a white tank to and black cargo pants. Like 99% of the furs she was bare foot. Once all of her armor was off it folded into a small cube and she placed it in a pocket on her pants. "Lead the way Chase." she happily. I started walking into town with Athena close behind. She noticed that we were getting weird looks from both humans and furs they passed on the way. I didn't care but Athena seemed worried.
"Hey relax they're just not used to seeing dragon around yet. Don't let it bother you." I said. "It's not the humans that have me worried." she responded. I then started to look around and notice that the furs were giving her death glares. "Reptoids and furs never got along well. It was my kind that forced the furs off their home world they came to earth seeking refuge and my father pursued them here I hate what he is doing to them not all Reptoids hate furs I find them interesting but the rest of my family doesn't see it that way. My father forced me to kill innocent furs. Chase before I met you I hated humans with a passion I was no different than my father back then." She said with guilt in her voice. I just stared at her at a loss for words. "So how do you feel about us humans now?" I asked.. "I still don't care for them but you aren't like other humans. You are special." She said with a smile giving me a good look at her fangs. "What makes me special?" I asked. Her smile grew wider as she put her arms around me pulling me close. "You are kind, accepting, and generous. But most importantly I like you." she said nuzzling my cheek. She broke the embrace too soon for my taste. After a few hours of walking we stopped to rest. I noticed a coyote walking by. He was at least in his fifties. I knew him from word on the street. When he saw Athena he stopped dead in his tracks and said "What the hell are you doing here cold blood ? Your kind aren't welcome here." he growled. "I'm not doing anything..." Athena said. "The fact you are still breathing is an offence all by itself. Why don't you go back to were you came from cold blood." The coyote spat. "Why don't you just leave her alone and go chase a roadrunner." I snapped. The coyote just shook his head and kept walking. I then notices Athena had tears in her eyes. "Are you alright?" I asked. "I'm fine lets just get going." she said. I knew she was hurt but I decided to ask her once we got to my house. After a few more hours of walking we finally made it to my house. Athena's mood didn't change. I showed her to her room and she got settled in. "Are you feeling any better?" I asked. She lied down on bed the with her back facing me. "I don't feel like talking right now. I'd like to be alone." she said quietly. I understood how she felt and left her alone. After a few hours she came out and sat next to me on the couch. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded. "What does cold blood mean?" I asked. "It is racial slur. They call us cold bloods because the way we are born and live. Reptoids aren't very friendly by nature. We learn to kill before we can even walk. Cold blood to us means heartless murdering beast and to a dragon that is the most hurtful thing you could say. I never judge someone based on their race even if I had a personal grudge against that race and I will only kill someone as a last resort. Most reptoids don't kill unless they are forced to." she said. "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that Athena." I said. Athena snorted. "Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong. You stood up for me. You defended and stood by me. You even gave me a place live. And now I want to show my gratitude." She said with a loving tone as she wrapped her tail around my waist and pulled me onto her lap. I expected her to hug me again but instead she locked her lips with mine in a passionate kiss and started to purr. After what seemed like forever she broke the kiss and was still holding me with her tail purring with a loving smile and she was blushing intensely. "Athena are you in heat?" I asked. She giggled and shook her head. "If I was in heat you would be on the floor, your cloths would torn into ribbons, and I would be riding you like a horse at the race track." she said with a evil smirk. I wanted to ask her out f or a while and now seemed like the best time to do it so I did. "Athena I was wondering if maybe you would go out with me?" I asked nervously. She gave me a surprised look. "You want me to be your girlfriend?" She asked surprised. "Yes but if you don't want to be I under-" I was cut of because kissed me again with even more passion than before. When she broke the kiss she whisper in my ear. "Yes." I was overjoyed. Athena was the girl of my dreams. We held eachother listening to eachothers heart beats. "Chase I have to stop my father. We can't live together in peace until he is stopped." she said. "How are you going to stop him?" I asked. She looked at me and smiled. "I am going to need some help. There is a human named Kiyo who lives just north of here. If I'm lucky he will help me." she said. "Well you can count me in." I said. "Chase if you come with me I can't guarentee your safety.And I won't lose you again." she said with a concerned tone. "I don't care. I will stick with you to the end. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let you go alone." I said smiling. Athena was about to respond when we heard a loud crash coming from the beach. Followed by a very strong wind. "Venus is in a fight!" Athena said as she got up and ran out out the door with me close behind her....
