Night of the Feline
Note: This is my real first novel-like fanfic. And in case you're wondering about where it takes place, it takes place during Atomic Betty II.
Story:
It was one of those nights. Maximus I.Q. was exhausted from his recent failed mission. He had already told Minimus, his lackey, that he did not want to be disturbed at the time he was in his room. He removed his headress, revealing the small metal plate on his back head, as he lied down on his bed.
"Why do these things always happen to evil geniuses?" he spoke to himself, "If only Atomic Betty wouldn't be in my way, then I would take care of her personally."
He sighed as he turned his head toward a picture of two young cats, one of himself, and the other of the white haired black cat. The overlord cat sighed as a knock came from the door.
"Go away, Minimus!" he frustratedly told him as he placed a pillow on his head.
He then turned to the glass door as he saw the grown version of the cat next to him in the picture: Nemesis A.S.
"Lord Maximus," she asked as she opened the glass door, "why do you look upset? Are you hurt anywhere?"
He gave out a small sigh, saying, "What does it matter? I have been fighting the Galactic Guardians for too long."
He turned away from her as the female cat looked concerned for him.
"Maximus...Kenji," she said as she went over to him and hugged him, "I know back during our years in Splatty that they were to blame for your...condition back when we were kids, but all I want from you is for you to be happy. That's what matters."
"Nemesis...Rinoa, I know what you mean, but please, don't try to cheer me up, it'll only make me feel worse."
The female assassin looked sadly at her male overlord. She lied down next to him and hugged him as a tear, unknowingly to her, fell out of her cat-like eye.
"Kenji, you're the only one left that hasn't left me...please, I just want to see you smile sweetly again...for me."
The male cat looked at her in confusion, removing the pillow from his head. He didn't know what to do for her except speak.
"Tell me, Rinoa, why are you telling me this?"
The female sighed, saying, "Ever since the day we met, I felt a strong bond with you. And eventually, before the incident...well, I began to have a crush on you."
"A crush?"
She blushed, trying to hide it, continuing, "Yes, it's true...but I never had the courage to say anything up until now."
She let Maximus go as the male cat was completely shocked at what she had told him. She was about to leave, after adjusting the crown on her head, but the male cat stopped her as he spoke.
"Wait...there was something I had never mentioned to you either..."
She turned to him with both the crown and eyes glowing as she said, "If you don't have anything to say, then let me guard you outside, so I can protect you from anything."
He gulped and spoke, "I have a crush on you too!"
The male closed his eyes, waiting for her to slap him, but it never came to him. She was shocked as the crown & eyes stopped glowing. She didn't know what to say as she sat on the bed next to Maximus.
"Look, just because I am a Supreme Overlord, does not mean I do not think about the ones I care about, especially you."
Nemesis held Maximus' hand as she spoke, "I guess some things are possible."
"Perhaps, my dear...perhaps."
The two slowly neared their lips as they started to kiss each other. The female assassin knew that she didn't want it now, but it felt all so right to her. During their kiss, Maximus had removed the pony tail band on Nemesis' hair and let the hair flow through her body. At the same minute, he began to undo her samurai shirt, revealing her beautiful breasts. The female blushed as he did that.

Minimus, Maximus' trusted two-headed monkey, looked inside his master's bed chamber as he looked strangely at what he saw. Two Lynxians from Splatty lying together.
'Oh my...' thought the monkey, 'I guess that's why in Lynxia, Maximus' dad's home planet, they call nights like that "Night of the Feline".'
The monkey knew he did not wanted to disturb either of them as he slowly closed the door, letting the two feline mates sleep in peace for the night
