"Mom, shields," Serina prompted lightly.
"Oh, oops!" Arith exclaimed, putting hir shields back up as hir face fur fluffed substantially. "I hope that didn't offend you, Kass Foster."
Andrew raised an eyebrow. "I'm paired with your cub and you think I'd be offended? You should see the images shi flooded me with after we passed pair testing." He grinned and sent those to Arith, who obviously found them quite intriguing.

Arith looked chagrinned, "Not at all! I'd at least wait until you got through the door and the rest of the family was there to join in."

The door was nothing but an energy screen, mostly translucent and enough to keep weather and anything smaller than a Kat cub out. Andrew felt like he had definitely entered a much bigger world though. Everything was huge to his point of view and he ended up with flashbacks to his childhood.
He felt a pang of regret from Serina. Shi had been looking up at the Kathari world for all hir life. Shi was very happy to have a mate shi could stand eye to eye with. Andrew took the advice and made a light link with the young Kat who obviously had not been expecting to suddenly be presented with an armful of human. Andrew nodded in turn to the Kats. All of them had grey fur, with or without darker or lighter stripes or splotches. It was also finer looking than a lot of the other Kats he had seen, so the fine fur must run in the family. Varessina was the largest, even more so than both hir parents. Ralinda was a bit smaller than Arith. Gerarrin was midsize between Serina and a full-sized Kat.
Andrew found himself curious about the ages of all the siblings and sent a discrete query to Serina. "Well, I'm 24 Terran years old," shi replied. "Vare is 29, Ger is a bit over 18, and Chari is 9." Shi felt Andrew's sudden concern about the last. Something about children and mating. Especially since Chari was definitely so child-like.
Shi giggled and sent comforting thoughts to him. "Kathari are physically able and encouraged to engage in play at around four and a half Terran years old, though we are not able to bear cubs until we are about 30. It's very important to our psionic development, trus. And we are mentally mature by then. For the most part. We grow to about three quarters of our full size by age 20 in Terran years, and then have our final growth spurt in about a year and a third. Remember, trus, this isn't Terra. We have completely different physiology and mentality, as well as species needs. Your schooling takes 18 years for the basic stuff, ours takes a year and a half."
"Don't worry, Kass Andrew-k'is," Chari sent to him. He blinked and shi gave his nose a lick. Andrew chuckled. Okay, he could deal with that then. "I guess I'll show you the first new thing before dinner then, Chari." A bit of direction and some confusion as the whole family tried the chopstick thing, with different levels of success each. Serina had an advantage since shi was directly linked to him, but overall they all managed to get some degree of proficiency.
After dinner, Andrew was given the grand tour. Entertainment rooms, some offices and a large indoor pool and hot tub, various individual bedrooms and bathing facilities. The trip outside to see the garden and the plains at night was informative about the enhancement to his vision. Andrew felt the balance change, and through mutual consent they all flopped onto their sides, landing with a whoomph on the soft pillows and bedding. He extracted his arm from beneath Chari and caressed hir with it while he reached back to caress his loving mate with his other hand. Chari twisted hir upper body around to rub and caress both him and Serina as well, and Serina gave attentions to both hir own wonderful mate and hir youngest sibling.
They laid like that for a while, still mutually buried in each other, when there was a discrete cough from the doorway. Gerarrin was standing there, a serious look on hir face. The three playmates looked at hir curiously, wondering what was up.
"Andrew," Gerarrin murmured. "I just realized... My parents probably forgot, but... Where are your parents?"
Andrew blinked. "On Terra, near Spokane Washington in the US. Why?"
Gerarrin laid hir ears back and looked worried. "They need to be here in person and give their permission for you to join our clan also."
Andrew frowned. "It's a day and a half trip to get from Terra to here, and that's from when they leave. I only have two days for this trip before I need to head back, and a good chunk of that is gone already. They wouldn't be able to get here in time for them to approve in person -and- have me do a hunt after. Isn't there any way around that?"
Gerarrin shook hir head. "Not if the clanship is to be official and legal."
Andrew winced. That was the whole goal of this trip. Okay, fine, so he had half a day at most to get his parents here from a day and a half away, and get their permission to join a Kathari clan as Serina's mate.
He looked at the sandwiched position he was currently in, his cock deep inside the nine-year-old sibling of his mate while his mate was buried deep in his ass. His parents might not be purists, but this was going to be tough regardless. Two near-impossible tasks needed to save himself from certain destruction by the humans. Great. At the rate complications were popping up, he wouldn't be too surprised if Serina's fear of having to repay the gods or whatever for their happiness wasn't maybe true. He wouldn't be too shocked anymore if a lightning bolt struck both of them dead just after he caught hir in the hunt. *Sigh*
"I'll... think of something..." he said, feeling Serina's worry. Thing was, he didn't know WHAT he'd think of.
