WAAAAAAAGH!

A shrill, pathetic cry of pain reverborated off of the walls in the cold, empty warehouse after a loud thud. Three figures were the only thing moving in the derelict building.

Holding up a bloodied, bruised rabbit by the neck, a huge beast's glassy eyes locked on him. He seemed beastly, feral.

Standing to their side was what looked like a small child. The shadowy figure stepped-- hobbled into the temporary lighting. His pink eyes half-shut as his ears listened to the sounds of pain from the adult lapine. The small raccoon spoke in an eerily calm tone one would expect to come from out of a serial killer, not someone his age... He looked up at the bleeding rabbit, taking a hold of one of his toes. "Don't expect my beastly friend to let up. He's drugged pretty heavily. I've gone through plenty of measures to make sure he doesn't remember this. So, tell me... Was it worth it? You knew full well that what you were doing was wrong, Mr. Rabbit. Are you proud of yourself?"

A soft wheeze and fearful stare were all the rabbit could muster.

The raccoon rotated the digit he had grabbed hold of, snapping it with a painful crunch. He shouted at the rabbit in a much angrier, gravely tone. The rabbit squeeled in pain. " ANSWER ME!"

"NO! NOOOO! NO! I'm n-not proud!" the rabbit finally called out in the hopes that the pain would stop.

The raccoon cracked an unsettling smile, looking up at him. "Now was that so hard? I'm not such a bad person. You'd argue otherwise, but, friend, you've gone and hurt someone very close to me. I don't take kindly to my friends being hurt, much less murdered. Tenderize him a bit more. We're about to get to the finale."

The rabbit began to sob as The beast pulled him away from the wall, then abruptly slammed him back into it. One of the lapine's arms dangled awkwardly at his side, clearly broken in several places with the way it flopped about. The long-eared mammal sailed through the air like a ragdoll as the beast abruptly tossed him over his head.

CRUNCH!

Landing on a crate and smashing it, the rabbit tensed up for a few seconds in sheer agony before going limp again.

The lumbering behemoth loomed over him once more. Expressionless aside from his permanent grin, he raised his leg and brought his enormous foot down on the rabbit's chest.

Splintered wood stabbed into his back, ribs cracked and crunched and blood spurted from his gaping jaws. He tried to scream, but couldn't draw breath.

The beast reached down, hefting the rabbit up by his throat. A few savage punches to his sore abdomen drove him to vomiting up a dangerous amount of blood. The acrid scent seemed to spur the beast further, making him pound his midsection a bit further before driving a painful headbutt into the rabbit's skull.

The rabbit's eyes twitched about and shut slowly.

The beast began to shake him angrily, twitching with rage as he stopped squirming.

The raccoon's voice echoed in the lapine's mind"You knocked him out cold. Put him down on the table over there. There's a nice raw steak for you in my bag over there..."

The beast perked, dropping the rabbit and shuffling over to the raccoon's things. He pulled the package from the boy's duffel and sat in a corner, tearing into the bloody meat with a gruesome grin.

"Tick... tock... tick... tock..."

All of the rabbit's pain was slowly creeping back into his mind as he came to. He shivered and let out a wail of despair. He was so certain it was all a nightmare. Looking down at him, licking his lips was The beast. His muzzle was smeared with blood. To the side was the boy, holding a stop watch with a bored expression.

"Two hours, five minutes and fourteen seconds. I got so bored I patched you up a bit. Sometimes I'm just too kind..." He reached down, flicking the rabbit's arm-- which had been splinted and wrapped tightly, drawing a groan. "Kept us waiting for a long time, Mr. Rabbit. Had to cut The beast loose and let him eat some drifter." To punctuate, he reached over and stroked the beast's gut.

"MMPH! MRRMFNM!"

The rabbit's eyes sprung open as a chill shot through him like lightning.

The beast's gut was twitching and shaking about as the curled up anthro inside thrashed for dear life. "Oh... I forgot to mention that he swallowed him alive. Pretty cool, don't you think? I was going to feed you to him, but he looks so cute when his food is squirming." The raccoon grinned, scratching the beast's bulging gut as a few savage gurgles erupted from inside, followed by muffled screams of pain. "Mm. The sound of a happy pred."

Tears poured from his eyes. Everything hurt. Limbs, muscles, organs... If eyebrows could feel pain, the rabbit was sure they'd be hurting, too. "P... Please... I'm sorry... Please let me go..."

The raccoon inched closer, leaning in extra close. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to, Mr. Rabbit... You should be apologizing to him. Oh! That's right... You can't, can you? I'll never see my little friend again because of you." The raccoon's face twisted into a savage grimace as he grabbed one of the rabbit's wounds and tore into it with his fingers, drawing a loud screech of agony from his victim. He withdrew his hand and looked at his bloody fingers, giving them a curious lick... "AUGH! Pleh!" He spat into the rabbit's face, groaning as he wiped his hands on the immobile lapine's fur. "You really are disgusting..."

"Wake up... Wake up..." the rabbit repeated to himself.

The raccoon chanted along with him mockingly, preparing a syringe of a strange, glowing concoction. The syringe was... horrifying, to say the least. Solid metal, it looked like one of the earliest hypodermic needles ever. Once it was full, the boy gave its needle a flick and a quick squirt to clear any air bubbles.

The rabbit's heart pounded heavily as he looked at the syringe. He hated needles and this one seemed to have been extracted from his worst nightmares with its enormous, thick needle. He began to pant and babble incomprehensibly as it was turned to face him, drawing closer to his face, stopping just an inch from his eye. "No, no, no, no, nononono..." He snapped his eyes shut, convulsing with absolute terror.

"No? Don't be stupid. Sticking this in your eye would just be cruel and pointless."

There was a brief pause of dead silence... then a horrifying stabbing pain as the raccoon stabbed the syringe into the center of the rabbit's chest.

Words couldn't come. He couldn't scream, he couldn't draw breath as the syringe drove straight into his heart. An intense tingle was felt as the boy drove the plunger down slowly before ripping the needle free. The rabbit was panting heavily as the tingle began to spread, making his vision blur and everything begin to throb with the most intense pain imaginable. The room seemed to grow around him.

The raccoon and beast loomed over the twitching, convulsing rabbit as he began to grow smaller with each passing second. His wounds were compressed and broken open once more as he was reduced, gushing blood as he was reduced to a mere 10% of his size. The rabbit's arm got it the worst; the broken bone fragments being compressed and squeezed about as the concoction reduced them slower than the rest of him.

It all finally came to a stop. His pain started to subside; he was bloody, but alive. Looking up at his now enormous captors, he could only stare in awe at the new development. He tried to sit up, putting weight on his shattered arm and abruptly fell back down with a cry of agony.

The raccoon smiled down at him, hearing only a high pitched squeek. He reached down over the shrunken rabbit, lifting him by one of his legs. Another high pitched squeek hit the raccoon's ears, making him shake his head. "Pathetic..." With that last little word spat out, the raccoon opened his mouth beneath the rabbit, who looked down in horror. The raccoon's flesh was pitch black, offset by the sharp, glistening teeth in the boy's mouth.

Time seemed to slow down as the rabbit was let go of, falling through the air towards the pitch black abyss of flesh. He impacted James' tongue with a tiny "splat", laying limp on the wet, writhing muscle.

The raccoon snapped his jaws shut around the rabbit; crushing one of his hands between his teeth with a barely audible crunch and a muffled scream. Sucking at the beaten, broken rabbit as if he were a piece of candy, the raccoon smiled and closed his eyes. His jaws parted a bit as he began to toss him around with his tongue. A few more tiny crunches were heard as the boy intentionally caught the rabbit's limbs between his teeth and crushed them one by one... He seemed to be targeting the extremities first, crushing hands and feet before moving to his forearms and shins before finally crunching into the rabbit's thighs and upper arms.

The lapine couldn't scream or draw breath at this point. Consciousness was fleeting as he felt himself beginning to go into shock. As his limp, broken form was tossed about further, the pain wracked his mind. It just wouldn't stop! He would have tried to prevent what happened next, but his limbs were quite useless...

The boy worked the broken rabbit about, laying him across his teeth horizontally. He began to slowly close his jaws like a mechanical press, meeting resistance as he slowly crushed the rabbit's hips between his molars, shattering his pelvis with a muffled crunch that seemed worse than any of those before it... The crushing bite continued, flattening the rabbit's midsection as his body was stabbed by his own bone fragments and the raccoon's teeth. Almost as if an act of mercy, the slowly dying rabbit felt the sharp tip of the raccoon's fang digging into the center of his chest, right over his heart.

The raccoon's beastly companion simply sat and watched, stroking his gurgling stomach as it just looked like he was simply chewing on some crunchy snack. He paused, stopping mid-bite before abruptly chomping down with a muffled "squintch!". Even the beastly figure flinched at the gruesome, liquidious crunch of the rabbit's body being splattered by the raccoon's teeth. Laying back to relax, the boy began to chew normally, methodically as the remains of the rabbit were crushed, ripped and torn apart by his teeth. Gathering the gorey mess at the back of his mouth, he dispatched the bitter mass with one idle, dismissive gulp. He came to his feet, licking his teeth clean as he began to gather his things. He smacked his lips and looked up to his companion as he lit the rag in a bottle of flammable liquid. He hobbled off with the towering figure, holding his hand in a childish manner as he tossed the bottle over his shoulder, setting fire to the building.

A week later, the boy was looking through the newspaper, shaking his head in disappointment. No mention of the rabbit in anything, not even a milk carton. "Oh well..."
