I awoke bright and early, back home in Pallet, prepared for a long day of working with the Pokemon, I remember my first task would be feeding the Pokemon their breakfast which would take some time because of the amount of Pokemon that live at Professor Oak's laboratory. Getting ready slowly while yawning, I headed to the bathroom passing by my mum saying a tired hello as I went.

After brushing my teeth and washing I was changed and ready to begin my new job, one that I would forever enjoy, exiting the house, I headed to towards the Professor's laboratory, passing by the fence I saw many Pokemon looking over at me smiling as they recognised me from yesterday. Grabbing the Pokemon translator, I placed it in my ear for when the Pokemon would begin chatting with me.

Heading inside the laboratory, Professor Oak was busy as always and welcomed me warmly, even though it was like eight in the morning and usually I would be fast asleep, "the food is all outside Tracey is out there as well, he'll tell you what to do." With that he began typing whatever it was he was doing leaving me to go and see what Tracey has to say to me now,

Outside I was immediately welcomed by Lucario, who must of sensed me coming with his aura, he was very happy to see me and I in return was happy to see him as well, though he kept hugging me for quite sometime, almost becoming slightly awkward. "So Tracey, Professor Oak mentioned you were going to tell me about the Pokemon's breakfast?" I asked and so Tracey began informing me that several Pokemon received different types of food depending on their types and conditions as well. That was something I already assumed would happen, so Tracey gave me a large wagon and told me that would have specific labels for different Pokemon.

Following his instructions, I headed towards the nearest group of Pokemon, the herd of Tauros and as soon as they heard the familiar sound of the wagon approaching they all halted behind their herd leader who approached me. Grabbing the specific food I grabbed several odd bowls and poured the food in for each herd member to eat. Immediately, the herds leader thanked me by rubbing his face against my chest, careful to avoid stabbing me with those sharp horns.

Patting his head, I left them to enjoy their meal and headed off to where the forest was, this was where many Grass Type Pokemon lived and that included my own Venusaur, upon reaching the Pokemon who were all waiting patiently, Venusaur bounded forward fast to reach me and say hello. "Master" Venusaur simply said and I patted his head kindly, before giving him his food, as well as the many other Pokemon as well, a Leavanny, Bulbasaur, Bayleef, Sceptile and Snivy however, upon closer inspection, Sceptile was wounded, "Sceptile are you alright?" I asked concerned as it was now my duty to ensure all the Pokemon were safe and well at all times.

"I had a fight with Aggron, though he won as you can see" Sceptile shrugged his shoulders in an almost human way, as he seemed to have lost his pride or something like that. "Hang on, I've got some medicine here, it should remove those bruises for you" before Sceptile could complain I grabbed my several Potions and sprayed them over Sceptile, who immediately recovered his strength. "Thanks" Sceptile said simply, he had none of the cheerfulness he had yesterday and I wondered whether the battle with Aggron had truly made him this disappointed with himself.

Moving on I headed towards the lake and knew that I would be coming back to help out Sceptile, the lake glistened as many Water Type Pokemon bounded over to me, excitedly however, yet again, Buizel was slightly wounded as well. "Buizel how did you get so injured?" I asked concerned as I sprayed his wounds and bruises until they completely disappeared, however, Buizel said "I lost a battle with Tyranitar, that's all" he said with a grin and thanked me for feeding him and continued eating as well as all of the other Water Types.

The good news was that Buizel took his loss well, but I still knew he was upset and had lost some of his pride as well and I would come back and check up on him later. Heading to the plains I was jumped literally by some Flying Pokemon including my Pidgeot who landed right next to me. He was followed by Talonflame, Noctowl, Unfezzant, Staraptor, Swellow, Gliscor, Noivern and Hawlucha. "Here you all are" I gave them their food and asked how Pidgeot was, "We've all been racing each other, finding out whose the fastest and helping each other out" I nodded my head proud and glad Pidgeot had made so many friends he could compete with. Noivern had become quite attached to me and hugged me with his massive wings, from what I knew he was a young Pokemon still and missed his daddy, known as Ash.

"Ash will one day come back and see you, I'm sure of it" I told Noivern, who looked happy at my reassurance, while I couldn't help but doubt my own words as he hadn't come back for many of his other Pokemon. As I expected many of Ash's other Pokemon knew Noivern would probably be left here for quite a long time and stared subtlety at Noivern with pitying looks.

I was nearly finished and headed up to the mountain ranges where surprisingly a large majority of Pokemon were, including my Tyranitar and Aggron, as well as Charizard, Infernape, Pignite and many others. Aggron and Tyranitar seemed to be fine and weren't wounded at all and I wondered whether they truly won their battles with no trouble at all. Tyranitar and Aggron soon spotted me and headed over, "Hey Aggron and Tyranitar" I said simply and they returned my greetings with their own as well. Charizard and Infernape as well as many other bounded over, seeing the remaining food that I gave them quickly, as well as Lucario who was here as well.

"Hey Tyranitar, Aggron did you two have fights with Buizel and Sceptile?" I asked curiously and I wasn't angry at them, not even disappointed either. The two nodded their heads laughing almost "yeah we both fought them, they were tough and all, but we won, cause our master is way tougher then their master" I could see pride shining in their eyes when they mentioned that I was stronger than Ash.

I patted their heads and they resumed eating happily, looking over at all the Pokemon, that I had met, most of them seemed happy with new company, that being my company. Afetr everyone now had finished their breakfast I headed back to the laboratory where I could figure out what was my next task.

Upon reaching the laboratory, Professor Oak informed me that I had nothing else to do, but could do whatever I pleased as long as I don't destroy anything or cause any trouble, I nodded my head and promised I wouldn't cause any trouble for him or the Pokemon.

That left me with two things that I wanted to do, speak with both Buizel and Sceptile and speak to them about their feelings for Ash and that they've been getting weaker since they haven't been trained in what seemed like forever. Finding Sceptile took quite sometime, however, Venusaur showed me where he stayed and I thanked him. "Sceptile you here?" I asked aloud as I couldn't see him anywhere, he just blended in with the greenery.

A thud came from behind me as well as a clawed hand on my shoulder which effortlessly spun me around to see Sceptile standing there looking at me with curiosity, "oh there you are Sceptile, I've been looking for you" Sceptile nodded and sat down next to a rather large oak tree and patted the ground next to him, signalling for me to sit down next to him. When he didn't speak for quite sometime, I assumed he just wanted to here what I had to say.

"Sceptile, I know you lost to Aggron and I don't want to bring up bad feelings, but, how do you feel now?" I asked genuinely concerned yet curious as well as to how sceptile was, I heard a sigh from beside me and Sceptile spoke, "I knew this was why you would come here, I'm fine really, I just didn't stand a chance, my attacks just did nothing, while all Aggron had to do was fire a couple of Flash Cannon's at me which defeated me without much effort at all, My reflexes were pathetic and my attacks were weak, I haven't been training as much because there is nobody to train with, Ash continues to go on adventures but never, brings anyone with him apart from Pikachu, meaning I'm stuck here lounging around, pretending to train, while in reality, I'm just getting weaker."

I could here the frustration evident in his voice especially when he mentioned the battle, the name Ash and Pikachu. I couldn't help but wonder whether he was feeling jealousy at Pikachu or anger at Ash and Pikachu. "Have you tried asking Ash, surely he would bring you on a adventure if you asked?" However, Sceptile laughed tiredly at me, "I would, but he refuses, saying that he only wants to bring Pikachu, his best friend, he's just abandoning every Pokemon he brings here, I'd much rather have a different trainer who cares for his Pokemon properly, specifically you. I've seen and heard how much your Pokemon respect you, I mean come on, your Lucario can mega evolve thanks to your bond."

As soon as he said that he was staring into my eyes pitifully, while he also had hope shining in his eyes which confused me, I just didn't know how I could help him, but the I remembered what I thought yesterday, I would help all the Pokemon if they want to get stronger. "I could help train you" as soon as I said that, he kept quiet and I thought he was disappointed or angry at me, so I began to move away, "sorry for the suggestion" I said and quickly darted off. Before I could even get far, Sceptile grabbed me, wrapping his arms around me embracing me, in a hug of which i couldn't run away from even if i wanted to.

I then felt rain or something land on me and looked up, seeing Sceptile with tears in his eyes "I didn't mean to make you sad" I said apologetic towards Sceptile,, however, using one hand Sceptile, kept me close to his body and with the other dried his tears. "Can you really help me get stronger?" Sceptile asked me curiously and hopefully and I nodded, I knew if I put my mind to it, I could help him get stronger.

"What do you suggest we start with?" Sceptile asked me, he had finally released me from his embrace and I began thinking, "how are you at dodging?" I asked and Sceptile, mentioned his reflexes had begun to fail and so I suggested that we work on that for today and Sceptile nodded. "Venusaur can you come here please" I shouted and Venusaur thudded over, "master how may I be of service?" Venusaur asked me and I replied, "firstly, you don't have to refer to me as master, you can call me Thomas and secondly, I want your help with training Sceptile here, that okay with you?" I asked curiously and hopefully and Venusaur nodded his head.

"Alright Venusaur use your Vine Whip, try and catch Sceptile" Venusaur nodded and aimed his vines at Sceptile who attempted to dodge but was caught almost immediately, making Sceptile ashamed at himself, as he was supposed to be the fastest Grass Pokemon here at the laboratory. "Don't worry, I'm here to help you" I said reminding Sceptile and he nodded his head, "this time Sceptile, use the environment to your advantage, the trees and branches everywhere" Sceptile nodded and began running again, I signalled for Venusaur to use his Vine Whip once again, however, Sceptile managed to dodge almost effortlessly and I could see he was really happy about that.

"Lets turn it up Venusaur" as soon as I said that Venusaur went faster and almost caught Sceptile off guard, however, he managed to dodge which was lucky for him, we kept going for around 20 minutes, before both Venusaur and Sceptile became tired and so I suggested that they take a break as we had made great progress. While they rested, I observed sceptile and Venusaue chatting and they seemed happy. "Your masters really something else" Sceptile spoke to Venusaur and Venusaur replied "of course, while he may not be much of a battler, he has had to defend himself against tough opponents before and that's how he toughened us up" I nodded my head at that comment, before Venusaur and Sceptile spoke something which did make me blush "I like him a lot" the way they said that made me nervous and blush because it was said with affection and love, I could understand Venusaur saying something like that but Sceptile and I had only really started to get to no each other.

For the rest of the day, we continued training and Sceptile had built up his confidence and thanked me endlessly for everything and even mentioned that many of the other Pokemon wouldn't mind getting stronger, he even jokingly said he might have to take me up on another round of this and more, he winked when he said more which made me blush even more as I was wondering whether he was flirting with me, or just teasing.
