Chapter 13
After watching Athena and Chase for a while, Venus decided to take care of some unfinished business. She was wondering how Kira found out about Athena befriending Chase to begin with. When she returned to the beach, she picked up a scent that she did not notice before. It was an old scent about a month to be exact but there was no mistake. She knew that it was Pyro's scent. Now it all made sense. Pyro sold them out. Venus was furious. She flew back to the lair but Pyro was nowhere to be found. This only made her angrier but she decided to wait. After a few hours Pyro came back and noticed Venus. "You're home early did you have to kill that pathetic human?" he asked as he walked up and stood next to her. Venus just slashed at him with her talons fully extended. Pyro screamed in pain as Venus's talons cut into his flesh. "What was that for?" he hissed. "I know that you're the one who sold out Chase. Because of you Athena's life has been a living hell! And anyone who makes Athena cry will answer to me!" She growled. "Why do you care?" he asked with a snarl. "I told you that if you ever hurt my sister in any way I would kill you. And what you did was unforgivable. That human is her only friend on this planet. She cares deeply for him. And you tried to hurt her through him. I have never seen Athena in so much pain before. Pain that you caused! I don't know why you did it and I don't care! I know father is the one who took Chase captive but that wouldn't have happened if you didn't sell them out." She roared Before Pyro could respond Venus slashed at him again. Pyro flew out of the lair and drew his claymore. Venus wasn't far behind. "Aren't you going to draw your weapon Venus?" Pyro asked. Venus had a look of pure hatred in her eyes. "I won't need it to kill you." she said with no emotion in her voice. Pyro shot a fire ball at her but she calmly deflected it with her paw alone. He then charged at her and swung his claymore down on her neck trying to cut her in half but she caught it with one paw and snapped the blade of the sword in half as if it was a tooth pick. She then got behind Pyro and broke both of his wings causing him to scream in agony as he crashed into the ground. Despite his pain he was still able to fight. Venus landed about six yards away and started walking towards him. He opened his jaws used all of his strength and power and shot a massive blast of fire at Venus and hit her directly. She was engulfed in flames. "Not even Father could survive a like that at this range at this range you stupid fool." he said laughing. Pyro's joy soon turned to terror as Venus walked out of the blaze unharmed. Without saying a word she kept walking towards him with that same look in her eyes. In the blink of an eye Venus was standing right in front of him. She grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the ground. Still holding on to his neck she pulled out a large dagger and aimed for his heart. "What makes you any different than me!?" He shouted. "I protect those I care about from scum like you." Venus said coldly. She then drove the dagger through his heart and watched as his body became limp and lifeless. To be continued......
