Chakona Amistad.

Two taurs moved through customs, a yellow furred chakat with red and orange sun markings and lime coloured hair and a white tigertaur with white hair with ice blue tinge. As they approached the security check point, a large Rakshani security officer approached them both, arms crossed, asked them too step too one side. The chakat politely nod hir head, but the tigertaur was reluctant to proceed. "Please miss, Do as you're told. Don't make this any harder on yourself." He ordered, placing his right hand on the electro stick.

Glancing at the chakat with a questioning look, she relaxed when shi nodded hir head.

"Please hun, do as he instructs you too do." Shi said, stepping to one side and lowering hir luggage to the table.

The tigertaur followed suit, and placed hir own bag also on the table.

"ID chip and papers please." He asked the chakat. Shi complied, handing over a small thumb drive and a gold book.

The guard inserted the chip in the scanner, and asked for verification. The chakat placed hir thump on the fingerprint scanner, and he nodded his head as the green light lit up, verifying the chakats proper Identity. Opening the papers, the guard started at the official Star Fleet insignia over the picture of the chakat. He looked at the young chakat with a puzzled expression.

Shi looked no more than 22, 23 tops. Yet, shi held a ranking higher than his OC.

"Reason for visiting Chakona?" he asked, looking the chakat over carefully. Shi was 187 cm tall, bright green eyes and a Blue pawprint pattern on a green circle on hir right breast. Hir hair was lime green, and shi wore a gold medallion with a green ruby in the centre. Hir top was multi coloured, covering a lime green brazier.

"Returning home with my new Denmate and mom to be." Shi smiled, looking at hir mate, who was blushing.

Nodding, he stamped the book, and handed the drive and book back.

"Welcome back to Chakona, Solarblaze Glazer." He formally saluted the chakat, who promptly saluted back. Then he turned to tigertaur and asked, in a much friendlier tone. "ID and papers, please, Miss."

She did what Solarblaze had done, and handed her ID flash drive, her passbook and a letter.

The guard took the first 2 items without any questions, and then looked perplexed by the third Item.

"And what is this?" he asked.

"Medical Clearance to import Illegal Contrabands onto Chakona province." She replied, with a military style response, standing to attention in front of the guard.

Raising his eyebrows, he opened the folded paper and read the document. It was not just any piece of paper that you can buy from the store, this was high grade gold trimmed Star Fleet Official documentation that he only saw at important meetings or OC's get from high ranking officers.

The letter clearly states that the named recipient was given complete immunity from prosecution and detaining for possession and usage of the Illegal drug Dyroxium. Stating that her physical and mental wellbeing was genetically depended on the weekly dosage of said drug. Any impeachment or interference would result in instant dismissal and imprisonment as well as civil court proceedings from family members.

Put simply, "Mess with her drugs, and you're royally screwed."

Looking at the chakat, who was emotionless and watching him carefully, then the tigertaur, who was still standing to attention, the guard played his options out very carefully. He could;

A: Let them through, and risk getting his tail chewed out by his CO for allowing a drug smuggler through.

B: Inform his CO, and let him take over, which means delays, and that would mean a tail chewing anyway... or

C: Detain her anyway, and risk losing his job, freedom and maybe his pension on court proceedings and payouts. Which would mean getting his tail bitten off, chewed and spat back at him.

Giving a sigh, he decided on option B, sure, he'll get his tail chewed, but at least he'll keep his job and freedom, without the risk of an internal enquiry for allowing a drug smuggler through.

"Please place your thump print here." He instructed, after inserting her ID drive in the scanner. Doing this, he was pleased when the green light lit up. Satisfied with her being the correct person, he took all three items and told them both to follow him into an interrogation room.

"Please wait here, I'll be back in an hour." He said.

"Ok, but, may I make a com call? I need to inform my appointment that I'll be late." Solarblaze asked.

"Sure, but be warn, all calls ingoing and outgoing are tapped." The guard said, then the door closed and the sound of a lock was heard.

Picking up the receiver, Solarblaze called Dr Snowfur to tell hir of the delay.

After hanging up, Solarblaze came round and comfort the distressed felinetaur.

"It's alright, everything is going to get sorted out, I promise." Shi replied, soothing the tigers fur, projecting calm and love, trying to dispel the fear that has set in.

"What if they detain me, and I miss my shot, you know what would happen, don't you?" she said, shivering.

"Yes dear, I know, but I promise, no-one will take you away from me, or harm our cub. We'll be ok." Shi said, softly kissing her head, she started to purr. Solarblaze rubbed the small swollen belly.

The cub was a few months old, but it was growing strong and healthy. They had conceived on the first week after leaving Terra. They hadn't planned it, or expected it, but, after days getting to know each other, on Earth as well as on the ship, there bond had grown to something more. Snowdrift was bred for combat, and Solarblaze felt like shi was being manipulated the same way by hir mother.

Shi could feel hir presence now and then, words of support or love, but also a burning rage, waiting to burst forth. Shi had quelled the other conscience inside through empathy emitters, to suppress and control hir mothers influence.

It was an emotional and psychological draining of hirself, but shi had won, briefly.

Now, there was another cub on the way. Solarblaze has already given birth to Dawnlight, and just recently sired Firespot. Now, shi was expecting a third.

Finally, the door unlocked, and the Rakshani security guard came in, followed by an even larger Rakshani, wearing an official Airport Uniform and 3 stripes on her shoulders.

The male guard was looking down, but the Rakshani CO was professional and upfront. She approached Solarblaze and Snowdrift, and sat down opposite in the chair. Turning to the guard, she dismissed him.

"Yes ma-am" then he left, with a slight look of a dog with his tail between his legs.

"Chakat Solarblaze and Miss Snowdrift, I am OC of the Amistad Spaceport, my name is Kayleen Maxernock. On behalf of the Rakshani and Chakona government, I wish to formerly express my sincerest apologies for you delay." She replied, smiling warmly.

"I understand your situation, and it has been taken care of. You will be free to go, as soon as you fill out this form and answer some formal questions."

Solarblaze was polite, but shi was agitated.

"Of course, but, please be forewarn, if any questions impede on Star Fleet regulations or classified subjects, I have the right to refuse answering them under article....."

Shi was interrupted by Kayleen holding up her hand.

"No, no need for that, it's just personal questions, nothing more." She said.

"So, how is Corporal Khan Firemane?" she asked, handing over the documents too Snowdrift, who filled out the form.

"I don't know who you're referring too." Shi answered, hir tail quivering slightly.

"Please Solarblaze, we both know that he's your commanding officer, he's told me nothing but great things about you." She said with a smile, leaning back in her chair.

Puzzled, and a little curious, Solar didn't let hir guard down. Being a member of the FCT, there were protocols to follow and obey. One was, never divulge information on operations and operatives, especially your OC. Solar subtlety searched the Rakshani's mind for the truth, and what shi found surprised hir. Images of hir commander and this Rakshani were intimate, and loving, maybe a little rough, but there were true feelings. She defiantly knew hir CO, but how much did she know him?

"And, what have you heard?" shi asked, a little cautious with hir words.

"So you do know him then?" she said, a smile on her face.

"I said nothing of the sort." Solarblaze retorted, almost ready to flee with hir mate.

"You didn't have too, I could tell, by your reaction when you read my mind" she said, a gleam in her eye.

By now, Snowdrift was aware that something was up, and her instinct to protect her cub and her new mate surfaced. Teeth baring, claws extended, she stood between Solarblaze and the Rakshani, pushing hir back against the wall.

Kayleen's manner changed at the threatening tone. She immediately raised her hand, brandishing a wicked looking knife.

"I suggest you settle down, or you may be sorry." She snarled, getting to her feet in a fighters stance.

Solarblaze had also sprung into action, hir eyes suddenly flared green, and the temperature suddenly raised hir hands glowed briefly then caught on fire with an intense green flame. Shi didn't cry out, or caught on fire, instead, hir look was calm, but there was a hint of maliciousness in hir face.

"I suggest that you calm down, and let us go. Other wise, you'll be sorry." Shi growled softly. Snowdrift had suddenly cowered behind her mate, but she was still baring her teeth, and giving menacing snarls.

Just then, a voice boomed from outside.

"YOU WILL BOTH DESIST!!"

Both Solarblaze and Kayleen jumped, and then stood to attention as Corporal Khan Firemane walked into the room. Even Snowdrift stood to attention. Kayleen had sheathed her weapon, her ears red with embarrassment. Solarblaze's ability quelled like someone had turned off the tap. Solarblaze saluted his OC, even Kayleen saluted.

Khan looked at the trio with a stern stare, and then burst into laughter.

Kayleen relaxed and smiled, but Solarblaze was still standing at attention. Snowdrift looked confused, unsure of what to do.

"At ease." He ordered, occupying the empty chair that Kayleen was in.

Solarblaze relaxed, lowering hir hand and sat on hir hunches, putting hir arm protectively around hir mate's shoulders.

"Sorry for that, it was a test of your resolve, to see what you would do under scrutiny, but I didn't expect your mate to make the first move." He said, looking at the tigertaur, smiling.

"If I may sir" Solarblaze began.

"Yes?" hir CO asked, hands together on his stomach.

"Why the extra security? Especially here at the spaceport? Surely we have the resources and intelligence to prevent future attacks?" shi queried.

"Yes, we do have the resources and intelligence to do that, but there has been small attacks on groups, ranging from stabbings too vehicle hit and runs. At first we thought that it was isolated incidents, but upon further investigations, we discovered that it wasn't happening here, but on Terra, as well as Rakshani."

Both Solarblaze and Snowdrift gasped, trying too make sense of these new turn of events. Riots and bombings were usually the normal course of action, but this was something unique. It seemed underhanded and sneaky.

"Did you get any information from the suspects you've apprehended?"

"I'm afraid not, everyone involved seem to vanish before we get there, the witnesses that we interviewed all says the same thing, the perpetrators shout "For Humans First Rights." Then they simply vanish."

"Teleporters?" shi said, thinking of hir stepmom and stepsister's ability, as well as Goldpaw's as well.

"Possibly, but there's one facture that is even more scarier, and puzzling."

"And that is?"

"It's not just humans that are doing these attacks, Furs are involved as well."

Solarblaze just sat, mouth opened, trying too come to terms with this sudden new bit of information. Humans shi understood, but not Furs, why would they help a cause that'll surely end in there own death? It just doesn't make any sense.

"Is there anything else?" shi asked, slowly caressing Snowdrifts head, projecting calmness, as her tension and nervousness was emitting strongly from her.

"Yes, there are rumours of an Island of a Human First group, but we are having problems confirming this, as the Island is in the jurisdiction of the Philippine Government, and we don't have authority to land and conduct an investigation.

We are at the moment trying to get co-operation with the president, but it's a slow process."

"Why not just investigate without their approval?" Snowdrift asked, starting to purr as she calmed down.

"Unlike the Federation Jurisdictions over anything related to Star Fleet and Chakona, we still have to obey Foreign Laws and Policies of other countries."

She nodded, a little bit of understanding, as she was still a Russian Citizen on a foreign soil.

"So, coming back too the present situation, what about my mate and her current dilemma?" Solarblaze asked.

"Has she filled out the appropriate forms?" Khan asked, looking at her again.

She nodded and handed the papers over to the Rakshani, who promptly filed them in a folder.

Getting up, Khan hugged both Solarblaze and Snowdrift, then bid them farewell and good luck.

"Just a bit of warning before you go, even though things seem peaceful, be careful and vigilant, keep your eyes open for potential trouble. Don't go anywhere alone, and keep FCT informed of your current location." He said, with utmost seriousness.

"Yes Sir!" Solar saluted, which hir CO returned.

Turning to Snowdrift, he said with a smile. "And you, take extra care, you have a little one to care for soon." He said, giving her a nuzzle, which she returned.

"Yes Sir!" she replied, also saluting. Khan laughed. "You don't need to salute me, you're not in the corps yet. Although, I could arrange that, if you wish?"

Before hir mate could respond, Solar interjected. "She will not! She's going to raise our cub and live a normal life, safe and peaceful."

Nodding, Khan left and Kayleen handed back the ID and Papers and documents to Snowdrift and shown them back outside, where the security guard was waiting, slightly humbled.

"This way please." He said, relieving his replacement and finished processing Snowdrift's passbook, and then he bid them a farewell.

Solarblaze and Snowdrift soon met up with Suira Sandpaws at the lounge.
