Having escaped from K'Tann, James and company must now find a place to lay low.

Yinglets are the brainchild of ValSalia

James awoke to a blinding light filling the pod. He sat up and waited for his eyes to adjust. Once they did, he saw, before him and Ceres, the Red Comet. "Ceres, wake up! They're here!"

She sat up and shook her head to wake up. "Huh?"

"They're here!"

"They are? Oh, good!"

"How do we signal?"

"I don't know!"

He swept his hand over the holocom and barked, "Contact the Red Comet!"

Immediately, he could see Emily jolting up. "This is James, we're right in front of you guys!"

She looked up and barked, "Bring them in!"

Tacit rushed to the controls and pushed a button. As he did, the little Wickerbeast jumped on Emily's back. The pod was pulled closer, and Tacit jumped off his seat and raced towards the stairs followed by Emily, having shaken off the wickerbeast. As they ran by, Astar poked his head through a door, then went after them with a towel wrapped around his waist. As they dashed down the stairs, his towel was torn off revealing his dragon cloaca to the backs of the heads of Emily and Tacit.

Once they arrived at the airlock, the pod had connected. Then, the door opened revealing two K'tanns. James leapt into the Red Comet and kissed the floor. Then, he looked up and asked, "How many vials do we have?"

"Uh, twenty five."

"Good, because that asshole stole my gear."

Well, poor baby!"

James looked at her with one eyebrow raised, then shook his head and said, "He also-he also-OH MY GOD!"

Once it hit him, he turned pale. "Em, I think he sodomized me!"

She covered her ears, turned away and yipped, "Please, I don't need to hear that!"

He stood up and sighed, "I need a shower!"

With that, he dashed up the stairs, skipping steps as he went. Once at the top, he dashed to his quarters into the shower and turned the water on. "Red Comet, tell them to bring a syringe up."

Then, he got under the shower of warm water. After a while in the shower, instead of drying himself, he tore off his fur and feathers and piled them in the center of the floor. After that, he snatched the syringe from Emily, who watched from the start of him tearing himself up, and stuck the needle in his arm. While he transformed, he piled the feathers and fur together and asked, "Got a light, or match?"

She nodded and handed over a match. He scratched the match on the ground and threw it in with the pile. Fwoosh! It went up in flames as if it had oil. While the pile burned, James kept transforming back into a hybrid. Around the end of it, Takeo came in, noticed the bonfire and asked, "Uh what that?"

"Feathers and fur. Sodomized feathers and fur."

"You want me poke you in ass you say?"

"No, I was sodomized, and I'm burning the feathers and fur that was violated."

"Well you insides can't be burned."

"That's not what's going on!"

Takeo raised his hands and said, "Okay, okay! At least you didn't get it forced in you."

James glared at him. "What? You ever get Nobu when he drunk?"

James took a moment before he shook his head and said, "No!"

"Come on, fun!"

In the fire light, James angrily raised a fist and punched him in the shoulder when he flipped him off. Takeo, in retaliation, struck his arm with his claws. He yelped and covered the spot with his hand. Then, he looked at Takeo, bared his teeth and lunged. Takeo dodged and jumped on his back. He reached up and snapped his jaws at him like s rabid dog. Then, he stood up and found that Takeo was gone. "The nerve of that guy sometimes."

He sighed, turned to face Emily and asked, "So, how are the planets doing?"

"They are doing pretty good."

"Alright. By the way, I've started thinking about establishing residence of some kind in Ironet. Although, I'm torn between taking a tenement or starting a sheep farm."

"Sheep farm."

"Alright. Free of noise and the chance of muggers, self sufficient. First, I gotta find land and get lumber and, of course, the sheep. I could build my own cabin from what I find. With some help on the foundation and fireplace. But then, what about the sheep? To let them roam, or to pen them. We might also want some kind of security measure."

James sat and watched as the fire died down. "Do you have any plans?"

"World domination."

"Which one?"

"How many do we have again?"

"Our seeds, or the entire galaxy?"

"Seeds."

"Four. Do you plan on making more?"

"Not right now. Unless you wanna."

He shrugged and said, "As long as there aren't any strings attached."

"No, I don't believe there are."

"Did you have any worlds in mind? Anything you would like to create?"

"Not at the moment actually. Why?"

"Just wondering."

"Well, I might have an idea."

"What's that?"

"A uh, primeval sort of world, if that makes sense."

She shrugged and said, "Eh, let's do it!"

"Got any ideas to add? Oh, and how's Angiras for a name?"

"Sounds good."

"Alright then. By the way, I think there should be sentient races. It should make it more interesting. I don't really care what it is. Oh, and how about some magic?"

"We should think of what to use as that species."

"You can. By the way, could we program magic in a planet?"

She nodded and said, "Yeah, let's do that as well."

"How much do you know about Shamanistic magic?"

"Not much, really."

"I guess we could make a basic program and let the world fill in the blanks."

"Of course, and let's make sure no primates get put there."

"Right. Mainly the people. They're a complicated animal, unlike their ape cousins."

Then, he stood up and said, "I'm going to go check on Ceres."

He stood up and, before leaving, asked, "Could you keep that fire under control?"

She nodded, and he said, "Okay, good."

He went down the stairs to where the storage area was hoping that Ceres hadn't gone far. There, she was digging into the rations. He approached her and asked, "You alright?"

She nodded and said, "Yes."

"Is there anywhere in particular you want to get away to? I could take you to one of Red Comet's planet seeds if you want."

"Very well, then."

"What type of environment would you prefer or hate?"

"I prefer a dryer climate."

"Okay."

James went up the stairs from the storage area, with Ceres in tow. Once he reached the bridge, he took his seat and took to the controls. He turned the ship and punched a button. Then, he crossed his arms behind his head and set his feet on the dash. Emily pushed a button to turn on the radio, which served to lull James to sleep.

* * * * *

Finally, the sip showed up at a planet that was all too familiar. "Home sweet home," said Emily.

"Yep."

"Oh, I remember meeting Takeo here."

"Oh boy, do I."

"How?"

"How do I remember it?"

"Yes, you barely remember you name."

"James Daniel Scale! How's that for barely remembering my name? Where is that coming from anyway, the idea that I'm going senile? Where does that idea come from that I'm going senile, anyway?"

"We have to remind you to even wash yourself, to take birth control!"

"Bah!"

"You should remember that! You literally forgot about me and Tacit's hatch day!"

He sat up and turned to face her. "What?"

"Tell him, Tac!"

"It's in two days."

"Oh my god! I'm sorry, I just got busy, and-"

"And, your old!"

James raised a hand, shook his head and said, "Okay, we stood here long enough!"

With that, James took to the controls and drove the ship down into the atmosphere. He pulled a lever, and the ship slowed down as they approached the surface. "Everyone, welcome to FE-45."

"Strange hearing the new name, eh?"

"Yes, yes it is."

"Well Ceres, this is where the two of them were born."

"Really?"

"Yep, subjects of the Dracosith dominion."

"I've never actually seen them but heard of them. "

"What did you hear about them?"

"They ruled most of the worlds."

James shook his head and said, "I never heard that before."

"That's what I heard though."

"It turns out they've been migrating, and general consensus was against this place. Probably not enough life. So, shall we?"

"Yes."

He tapped a button and stood up. On the way out, James asked, "Hey Red Comet, you wouldn't happen to know if this place has been occupied since the Dracosith left, would you?"

"We believe it has been."

With no more words, James met them at the airlock and pushed the release button. He was the first to leave the ship. "So, what do you think, Ceres?"

She shrugged and said, "Seems okay."

"There might still be an abandoned building somewhere. Would you prefer to stay, or lay low here for a little bit?"

"Lay low."

"Okay, then we can park the Red Comet here. Em, Tac, we could probably stay for you guys's hatchday."

Emily crossed her arms and said, "Oh, now you remember!"

"Well, you did remind me."

"Bad that we had to."

"Okay, I'm sorry I forgot."

"It happens every year!"

James, in frustration, threw up his arms and went back inside. Once he was inside, Red Comet's AI said, "James Scale, you have a call coming."

"Send it on screen, I'll be up at the bridge soon."

He marched through the storage area, up the stairs into the bridge. On the screen, he saw the blindingly bright face of Xevog wearing a sneer. "Uh, this is not what it looks like!"

He approached the screen, took a deep breath and made a fist. Before he could do anything, however, Ceres disconnected the screen. "Put the ship into hiding!"

James snapped his fingers and said, "I know of a place to lay low."

"Take us there, then!"

He jumped in his seat and pulled a lever as Tacit took his own seat. "It's gonna be a bumpy ride. Em, get me a dragoness injector, will ya? I've got an idea."

As the ship began to leave the atmosphere, he pressed the hyperspeed button. It was a rough trip through hyperspace, but through it, James managed to say, "Next stop, Ironet."

"Iro-what?"

"Ironet, you'll see."
