"Mess hall?"

Myra put her things down and stood up. Michael watched her get ready and they left together.
The mess hall was quite busy and noisy now. Michael had his tablet with him so he could draw while Myra got their food. He sat down and waited for Myra, 4 Dragons approached him.
"So you're the Human everyone is talking about."
"That would be me."
"What is that?" a blue Dragon said while pointing at Michael tablet PC.
"My portable data tablet."
"I thought Humans weren't that advanced yet?"
"Well they are."
Myra walked and sat down next to Michael. She looked at the Dragons and said, "Would you kindly leave Michael and me alone now?"
"Yes Myra." Said another Dragon and they all left, leaving Myra and Michael alone. Saiu was talking with some friends when he spotted Michael he pointed him out to his friends and was met with a barrage of questions. Klaedr walked into the hall and went straight over to Michael, she could smell where he was. She wanted to talk to him and Myra about what they wanted to do next. She rushed to get some food and sat next to them.
"Myra, how is your research progressing?"
"At a steady rate. Although because Michael is here I have made several breakthroughs. He has been crucial to my research."
Klaedr looked at Michael, "Thank you Michael for all the help you gave Myra."
"It was my pleasure." he responded, "I have learnt so much about you and Saiu gave me some books to read from his quarters about your recent history, technology and society."
"Saiu is very trusting of you. He does not usually give out his personal books freely."
"Well we had a talk and he decided it would be best if I didn't make you, Myra and him look like fools if I embarrass you."
"He always has an ulterior motive." Myra said.
Saiu went over with some Dragons behind him and sat next to Klaedr.
"Michael, Myra, Klaedr. I hope you are enjoying your meals."
Michael nodded and he took another bite out of Myra's food and continued drawing.
"Who are you drawing this time Michael? Klaedr asked.
"It's not who, it's how many. I am drawing you three and me in the middle if I can."
"Wow. You really like Dragons don't you."
"Yes I do Klaedr." Michael looked up and noticed that not one of the Dragons that came with Saiu had then their eyes off of him. "Yes?" he asked them..
"It's just your so -"
"Different?"
"Yes. You have no scales, no tail or wings. You have fur on you and no snout and it looks so odd."
"And now you know how I feel about you. I am the only Human around for 20 thousand miles, excluding the ISS"
"ISS?"
"International Space Station." Myra said, "It is the whole Human race working together to try to get into space."
"Thank you Myra. Actually, they launched Phoenix mission yesterday. It's supposed to put on a special scanner onto the ISS that is supposed to find Earth-like planets. Can we see it somewhere?"
"The bridge is the centre for all angles for our scanners." A Dragon said, "I've just realised. Don't Humans wear clothing?"
"Yes."
"Then where is yours?"
"Mine is in Myra's quarters. You don't wear any so why should I?"
"He is becoming more like a Dragon everyday." Saiu said while patting Michael on his back, his claws stabbing Michael.
"Don't pat me like that again."
"Why not? It is a friendly gesture."
"Yes but your claws are sharp and painful."
"I apologise Michael. I meant no harm."
"It's ok. We are both still learning. How far is the download?"
"Still over 100 Earth hours."
"Oh. Well, I am going to the bridge to see a very important part of history being put together." Michael said as he stood up and tried to turn his tablet off. He actually connected to the wireless projector and the unfinished picture was shown against a wall. Myra was almost coloured in completely and Michael was starting on Saiu. All the Dragons looked at the picture then at Michael, who was a shade of bright pink. Myra walked over to the projection and stood the same way as the picture, they were almost the same but the real Myra had a longer tail and her scales were shinier. Myra walked back and asked, "Will you do a special background for me?"
"Sure. Just pick one that's there already and I'll modify it to your standards." Michael said as he gave Myra the tablet and she selected one with a castle in the background. She started to describe her home, while Michael changed it to fit her description. If Myra got stuck on a detail, another Dragon would help out by shouting it out. Soon Michael had a background that looked like Myra's home world, along with many other Dragons. He saved it and shut the tablet down, severing the connection. He followed Myra and Saiu to the bridge, much to the disappointment of the other Dragons who wanted him to finish the picture.
Saiu walked onto the bridge first and relieved the Dragon sitting in his chair. Myra sat to the right of Saiu and Michael stood behind Myra, playing with her wings. Saiu ordered that the ISS be brought on the screen but Michael couldn't find where the screen was until it was activated. There was a large window at the front and it turned into a screen. Michael didn't care how, he was interested in what was happening on it. Phoenix was docking with the ISS and Myra was looking in amazement.
"How can you afford to send Humans up into space?"
"Most people can't afford it. These people have been trained for 12 weeks to experience zero gravity."
"Most people?"
"Yeah. There is a service called Virgin Galactic and you pay to go into space but it's ridiculously expensive. About £400000 for one trip there and back."
"Conversion Myra?" Saiu asked
"8 million credits."
"That's a bit expensive."
"Well you pay for the fuel and the oxygen brought."
"Oh. We teleport to a station in orbit around the planet and take a ship from there."
"We have no teleportation methods."
"Now you why I couldn't be a Human Michael. What I use on a regular basis you don't even have."
"I know Myra." Michael said. He sighed, despite this being his dream he missed his house. Saiu noticed Michael wasn't feeling well by the expression on his face.
"Is something troubling you Michael?"
"Yeah, but it's nothing."
"One thing I have learnt on this ship is that it is never nothing. Tell me."
"Despite being with the people I admire most, I still feel like I'm missing something."
"Would you like to go down onto Earth for 3 days? We are in orbit still and you can keep the armband. It will take you to us when we send a signal." Saiu asked.
"Can I come too? I would like to observe Michael, if that is ok with him." Myra asked
"I'll go. I have to finish my education in physics and electronics. Myra, I'll give you some of my money so you can have a look around while I'm working, but you can't look like a Dragon -"
"But -"
"And you have to wear clothes."
"Ok. Could I use a shifting armband Saiu?"
"Yes. Michael, do what you want there but do not reveal our existence or jeopardise Myra."
"They wouldn't believe me if I tried. I already tried before I met you. Myra, a shifting field?"
"A field like the distortion but it changes your shape and hides the armband. It will hide yours too."
"Thanks."
Michael and Myra went out to get ready. Michael put on a shifting armband as well as Myra.
"Myra, what's your story?"
"I was born in Islington and was raised by my uncle."
"Cool, and remember don't wander away from me unless I say."
"Ok. I have studied maps and routes and laws so I know what to do."
Myra put the armband on and immediately started changing shape and colour. Her wings, scales, teeth and tail disappeared. She had blonde hair growing and had blue eyes. She wore a short skirt and a t-shirt. Michael looked at the Human that was Myra.
"You still look amazing."
"Thanks." She said while tying her hair back, "It is quite odd being a Human though. I try to swing my tail but I have no tail anymore." Michael put his armband on and both armbands vanished from sight, his shirt was replaced and he wore combat jeans. He had trainers on. "English only. Don't make a fool of yourself and don't announce. We are going to my parents house."
They vanished in a white light and appeared in an alley
