eyes glinting in the star light, her fur waving in the breeze. sitting on top of a house staring into the heavens. listening to the night around the house. her ears twitch with each sound. a mouse in the grass, sleeping birds on the branches. even the beating of bat wings in the night air don't escape her acute sense of hearing. a far off roar follows a shrill panicked scream.she vanishes from the roof and appears on the side walk holding a strange device in her hand. the ring around the screen near the top spins glowing into a small pillar of light showing a transparent man.
"what is it Ren?" he asks anxiously rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"it's him Roi. 2 miles due east and he's moving south-" she looks up then back at the hologram"-Fast."
"understood, I'll be there soon. you head him off and stall for as long s you can. Roi out."
with a click the line goes and the glowing pillar vanishes. tucking it into a purple fore arm length glove she leaps to the air clearing houses while vanishing and reappearing houses away... The whole time of her race against time she is daring him to stay present long enough to be found. and under her breath she keeps uttering the same two words over and over again.
