Nirha and water.

The tide comes in, splashing against the rocks.

At first the sound startles Nirha, but she soon calms down, getting used to it.

Nirha kneels down, her knee digging into the moist combination of sand and small shells, and extends a hand to the water.

As her fingertips graze the liquid, she recoils her hand. The water is cold.

"A-Ahh!" she yelped, her body shivering in response. She tried again, pressing past her limits, to study the world. Nihra extended her arm, and let her fingertips sink into the water. She let out a soft sigh, and pushed deeper. Eventually Nirha was elbow deep, and able to fetch something from from the sandy bottom.

Nirha's fingers ran along something soft, and yet rough, that quickly dissapeared from her reach. She was struggling to catch it, so grabbed a handful of her hair, and removed her head. Nirha took a sharp breath, and plunged her head down, and as she opened her eyes, she was struck with a beautiful sight.

The blue of the water, the calmness of the sand as the ground sinks much deeper, and the thing that she was trying so desperately to catch, fish.

Her eyes glimmered as she understood that there was life below, but she quickly ran out of breath and had to resurface.

Nirha rung out her hair as best as she could, and placed her head between her shoulders again. She took down what she had learned, in her journal.

Nirha brushed her sandy knees off, and continued on with her journey.

"A gentle giant that makes music,

the ocean, as it crashes against rocks.

The reason as to why I feel seasick,

and a really unfortunate day to wear socks."
