Dream Friends
#11 of Short Stories
I wanted to add Yure to my ocs world, everyone has a place in it but Yure doesn't quite fit and I didn't want to just shove him in so I thought for a little bit and realized that Yure is more like a fantasy or dream character than real, Jade met him alone in a dark forest, he's blue which isn't a natural cat color and he lives in a tree house which is more like something a kid would live in not an adult, he says he has an adopted father, but he's never seen so, with an idea to work with I started writing.
Jade sat on the porch, in his red onsie, staring out into the forest. He was working up his courage to venture beyond the porch. Finally he got up and toddled off the porch and into the forest. Jade explored for about an hour before deciding he wanted to go home, but suddenly he realized he was lost and the sun was going down!
Jade began to tear up, he was scared, he didn't know where to go so he just curled up on the ground and waited. Suddenly something tripped over him Jade leaped up and looked around, In the darkness all he saw was a shadow.
"Ahhhh monster!" Jade squealed, he wet his diaper In fear as he rolled backwards. The shadow moved into the moonlight revealing it to be a blue cat, looking to be about five. A very full diaper taped around his waist.
"I'm not a monster." The blue cat replied. "Just a Yure." Jade blinked and plopped down on his bottom with a squish.
"Oh." Jade giggled, "my bad, I'm jus scawed of da dawk."
"thats ok." Yure replied, "your a wet kitten aren't you." Jade blushed at that and nodded.
"Me too," he said, "come on let's go, I'll show you my tree house." Yure led Jade to his tree house and let the black kitten ride on his shoulders as he climbed the ladder.
"You want a change right now or later." Yure asked, smiling as he watched the kitten roll around.
"Later." Jade replied, "I wanna pway."
"Ok, we should play hide and seek, but let me get changed first." Yure disappeared into a room and returned a few moments later, a clean diaper taped around his waist.
"Ok let's play!" They played hide and seek for a couple hours before Jade began to get sleepy.
"I think it's bedtime for you." Yure said lifting the yawning kitten and carried him into a room laying him in the crib. Jade was so tired he closed his eyes and when he opened them again he was in his crib in his room in Archer's house. A dream! Jade thought, no way, suddenly he couldn't wait till naptime, he couldn't wait till he could play with his dream friend again. . .
