"Look at me babe, I need you to calm down and tell me what's wrong?" Serena said as she set the mugs down and moved in front of him. Shan's eyes were completely glued to the T.V. and he didn't move a muscle except for the extremely angered look on his face. Taking his hand, she looked at him in the eyes and using her other hand, she placed it on his cheek gently. "Babe, talk to me" she said in a soft voice.

It took a few minutes before Shan had snapped back to reality. In his mind he was only seeing the death and destruction of his original home. The screaming, the pain and the loss of everything around him was beginning to flood back to him from when he was young and had just started his traveling. Looking to Serena, he did his best to calm himself and closed his eyes, a single tear running down his cheek. "I thought I had killed them all, but that man..." he said in another angered tone. "That man is proof that I had failed. He is a part of a race called the Gemini, and they are responsible for the destruction of my home planet." he said as he opened his eyes and they had turned completely red.

Serena took a step back from him as she noticed the color change. "Shan, you're scaring me..." she said in a worried tone. "Why did your eyes change color like that?"

Letting off a sigh as he closed his eyes and reopened them, turning back to their normal silver color. Sitting down, he looked to the floor and nodded. "I am not exactly what you think I am. I am actually two different beings with two seperate souls. When I was just a child, my father used me and my brother in an experiment where we were fused with another creature, a dragon. At first we couldn't control the transformations that we would go through and it was the most painful thing that I had ever experience at the time. The dragon inside of me is a black one and he can be quite agressive if I allowed it. We didn't get a long at first but we have grown to respect one another." he said in a deep tone.

Looking to him, Serena let off a smile and then chuckled a little. "That's a good story, but c'mon now, you really expect me to believe all of that fantasy mumbo jumbo?" she asked.

Looking up to her and without a word he stood up slowly and moved somewhat in front of her, his eyes changing to red once more.

Serena took a few steps back and began to shake a but from fear. "Shan...what are you doing?"

"Showing you" he said in another deep tone. As he stood there, the color of his skin began to change from a flash color to black, the smoothness turning into scales. Letting off a loud groan, he grasped his chest with his arms and hunched forward, a pair of large wings exploding from his back. A set of horns began to sprout from his head, growing upward and curving back. His face contorded, growing a snout and his teeth elongating into sharper points. Finally a tail sprouted from his back around his waist line. His hair never changed, only adjusted to the new features. As he stood there, he was breathing heavily from the transformation, but he noticed Serena was shaking even more. "This...is my dragon side, a small side of it."

"A...a...a small side?" Serena asked in hesitation.

Shan nodded as he stretched his wings out, being a long time since he had done so and folding them back in. "If I were to transform into the actual size, I would be about the size of a really large building. Look, I am sorry that I did not tell you this sooner, but this isn't something that you go around and just tell anyone, if I did, then there's no telling what the people of your world would do to me than they already have." he said in a softer tone.

Looking him over, Serena didn't seem so scared anymore, in fact she began to think he was cuter that before. Moving over to him, she reached up and slapped him quickly and a little hard. When Shan went to protest, she placed a finger of her lips "You think that I couldn't handle something like this? Listen to me Shan, even though we just got together, it doesn't mean that I am going to hate you just because you are different, if you have not learned that by now, then you yourself have a lot to learn about me and the others around you. Sure, the people here may criticize you for what you are, but that doesn't mean that they hate you, or that I hate you. In fact, I love you, and the ladies at the prison like you as well, you just never have given anyone the time of day" she said with a smile and lowered her finger.

"Look Shan, I want you to be who you are, and not something that you're not. You be you and no one else around me alright?" she said smiling as she leaned up and kissed him gently. "Now, go do what you have to do. It may not be the right thing to do, but if you feel that taking revenge out on the people who destroyed yours will make you feel at peace, then by all means do it, BUT ask yourself, is it going to make you feel any better about what has happened to you and your people?" she asked in a subtle voice.

Shan looked to her and then to the floor, thinking about what she said. A few moments went by and he walked over to the balcony once again and looked out into the city. "It may not be the right thing to do, but at the same time, there is no telling what they will do to this planet either. It's been over nine-thousand years since I last laid eyes on them and I want to make sure that the fate of this planet does not happen like mine did."

"Nine-thousand years!? How old are you exactly?" Serena asked in a surprised voice.

Turning, Shan smiled "I'm a little over ten-thousand years old. The Dragonian race has an extremely long life span that can easily reach into a few thousand years, but with Dragonus, the Dragon that you see in front of you, it added a lot more years on as well. On the other side, it also helps when you are the Great-great-great-grandson of the god of your own race." he said in another subtle tone.

"Grandson over the god of your race, now this is starting to sound like a dream. So you are a humanoid dragon who happens to be the grandson of a god...prove it" she said with a grin.

Stepping closer to her he placed a hand on the side of her face "This is going to feel a little weird" he said as he suddenly sent a flash of imagery into her mind, a war of his planet, the traveling he had done, and his grandfather. The vision he showed her was a man who stood rather tall, garbed in white robes. His facial features looked like that of Shan and his hair was of the same length. The male was rather toned and was quite handsome, like a statue that was perfectly chisled.

As he released his hand, Serena looked to him with a look of shock. "It's true, everything you said...but how..."

"It's a very long story, one that I will have to tell you another time, but right now, I need to go and stop them from whatever it is they're about to do. I need to make sure that I keep everyone here safe...and keep you safe most of all" he said with a dark look in his eyes.
