#6 of Special Assignments

Malcolm wasn't looking forward to starting at college. The University of Beldover was not his first choice. However, the arrival of a new Fox professor might just liven things up.

Chapter Seven to follow soon...

The events of that night passed by in a blur.

I had vivid but out of context flashbacks of walking back up the stairs to the bar, hanging around with Adam and Hudson, getting in a taxi back to campus and falling asleep on Hudson's bed.

I knew the morning had arrived when I woke up with the sun shining on my face and my throat feeling like sandpaper.

"Hey sleeping beauty," came Hudson's croaky voice.

"Shit," I murmured as I tried sitting up, before slumping back down as it felt like my head was about to explode.

"Yeah, we both look like it," Hudson said. "At least you got lucky last night though."

"Huh?" I replied as I tried to sit up again.

I glanced down and saw I was dressed in just my shirt and underwear. My semi-hard cock and the sticky damp patch in the fabric of my briefs told me all I needed to know about Hudson's got lucky comment.

I glanced up and saw Hudson standing by the bed. He was wearing a pyjama shirt but was naked from the waist down.

"So, tell me," the Jindo said with a grin. "What did you and that Jaguar get up to?"

I opened my mouth, but before I could say anything Hudson pulled a face and put a paw over his muzzle.

"J... just a minute," he said, before rushing to the en-suite bathroom.

I waited on the bed for Hudson to return.

He emerged from the bathroom a moment later with a sheepish expression on his face.

"Sorry man, I thought I was gonna be sick," he sighed. "Student life, eh?"

"Yeah," I croaked, before looking down at myself. "Where did my trousers go, did you take them off?"

"Nah dude, you did that when we got back here," Hudson explained as he sat down on the bed. "You started dancing and tried stripping. I had to put you to bed so you didn't disturb anyone."

"Right," I replied, glancing down to see one of the legs of my jeans poking out from under the bed. "I can't wait to do the car ride of shame home."

A horrible thought suddenly occurred to me.

"Shit, I left my car on campus overnight. I'm pretty sure there's a rule about that," I sighed. I tried sitting up but my head swam again.

"You can lay here for as long as you want," Hudson said, giving my shoulder a quick squeeze. "Man, I do feel hungry, I didn't get to eat last night."

"Gimme a minute and we'll drive somewhere," I groaned before pulling the covers over me.

"We should get a shower first too," Hudson added as he lay on the bed beside me.

Hudson's bed was small, but we managed to cram ourselves on the top of it. I closed my eyes and was about to drift off back to sleep when my phone buzzed.

"Here," Hudson said, rolling over and handing it to me.

I glanced at the screen and saw it was a notification from Facebook; Adam Bolton has added you as a friend.

I opened the notification and saw it was the Jaguar from last night.

"Weeey! He found you," Hudson teased. "And you never elaborated on what I asked you?"

"What?" I replied.

"What did you and this guy get up to last night?" Hudson asked with a grin. "It was kinda obvious, I could smell the cum on you."

"Oh no," I sighed. "How obvious was it?"

"Well, not super obvious. It was only when I was standing right next to you that I caught the scent. I doubt anyone else would have noticed."

"Okay," I replied, feeling mildly reassured although still embarrassed.

"Heh, no need to splay those ears Mr, I found it kinda hot," Hudson chuckled. "So, whaddaya think, potential boyfriend material?"

"I don't know," I replied. "I thought it was going to be a one night stand, but now he's added me as a friend."

"Woah, a marriage proposal right there," Hudson laughed. "He was quite handsome, I admit I was a little jealous."

"Do you know him?" I asked.

"Never met him before last night," Hudson shrugged.

I sat up and opened the Facebook app on my phone. My paw hovered over the Accept friend request option. I smiled and tapped Yes.

"I think I'm feeling more able to walk about," I yawned. "What about you?"

"I think so, I need to grab a drink first though."

"More alcohol?" I asked with a laugh, before letting out a hacking cough.

"Nah, water," Hudson replied as he began dressing himself.

I pulled my jeans out from under the bed and put them on. My cock had gone soft which was a relief, but I could still feel the stickiness in my underwear.

I'm going to have to race upstairs and get changed before anyone sees me at Aunt Ruth's.

Hudson finished dressing himself and gestured for me to follow him to the kitchen.

I sniffed the air and glanced about nervously as we walked out of his room, but the flat was quiet and there was no sign of his roommates anywhere. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"You okay?" Hudson asked as he retrieved two glasses from his cupboard.

"Yeah," I replied with a smile, although in reality I was glad that Emily wasn't around. I had found her especially irritating during the night out.

Hudson poured water into the glasses and handed one to me. I gulped it down and wiped my muzzle.

"Ready?" I asked, setting the glass down. Hudson nodded.

My wallet, phone and car keys were still in my pockets, much to my relief.

Hudson finished his water and we made our way out of the flat.

The sunshine was something I usually enjoyed, but that morning it pierced my eyes and made my head spin even more.

"You okay to drive?" Hudson asked.

"Yeah, yeah I am," I replied, trying to put on a reassuring tone. "I want to get back and lay on my bed for a bit."

We walked to the carpark and I was relieved to find my car was still in its space without a threatening note from the security staff plastered to the windscreen. I unlocked it and we climbed in.

The dull ache in my head thankfully subsided as we drove out of the campus.

"You can just drop me in town if you just wanna head straight home," Hudson said.

"You sure?" I replied.

"Yeah, I've had worse hangovers. I'll just get my groceries and get a bus back to my flat."

"Okay," I replied, keeping my eyes on the road.

The traffic through town was fairly light and Hudson directed me towards the centre.

"Here is cool," the Jindo said, gesturing to a patch of road outside a supermarket.

I'll pulled over and Hudson unclicked his seatbelt.

"Look after yourself dude," he said, giving me a brief but tight hug. "Message me when you get home, so I know you didn't crash."

"Um, thanks," I replied with a half-sigh, half-laugh as Hudson climbed out.

I pulled off and noticed the Jindo waving in my mirror. I grinned to myself although the dull ache in my head returned and I hoped the traffic out of the other side of town would be just as light.

Thankfully it was, and I pulled up on Aunt Ruth's driveway behind her blue Volvo.

I climbed out and squinted against the sun, hoping I could head up to my room without being seen. Even though Aunt Ruth was not my mother, I knew she would gossip or talk if I walked in looking a mess.

Gingerly, I let myself into the house and sniffed the air.

I saw movement and glanced through the kitchen door to see Aunt Ruth out in the garden, no doubt pulling up weeds or watering the flowers. The faint sound of shooting and explosions told me Thomas was playing on his Xbox in the living room.

Quick!

I silently sprinted up the stairs and made straight for my bedroom. My towel was hanging over a rail on the radiator and I picked it up before grabbing some clean clothes and sprinting to the bathroom.

The shower felt mercifully refreshing and I scrubbed the grimy feeling of last night off my fur. The dull ache in my head was subsiding slightly and I decided food would be a good idea.

I shut off the water and was about to climb out of the shower when I thought I heard the sound of someone coming up the stairs. I paused, before shaking myself dry and smoothing down my fur with the towel.

Knock, knock, knock!

"Fuck!" I gasped, almost jumping out of my fur, before splaying my ears as I wondered if Aunt Ruth was standing outside the door and had heard me swearing.

"Hey, Malcolm!"

I relaxed slightly as I recognised Thomas' voice.

"Yeah, what is it?" I called back, spraying myself with deodorant.

"Are you eating dinner with me and mum tonight, or by yourself?" Thomas asked.

"Dinner?" I repeated.

"Yeah, it's almost dinnertime," Thomas said.

"Oh, uh," I stuttered, not realising it was as later in the day than I thought it was. "I guess so," I added nervously.

"Cool," Thomas replied before I heard the sound of his footsteps fade.

I picked up my fresh clothes and began pulling them on. Joining Aunt Ruth and Thomas at the dinner table was something I often did at the weekends, as Aunt Ruth had insisted I did when I moved in. Although it was nice to have food cooked by someone who could actually cook, I found the conversations at the dinner table a little awkward.

I draped my towel over the towel heater (which wasn't actually on, but it seemed like the neat thing to do anyway), darted quickly into my room to deposit my dirty clothes on the bed and made my way downstairs.

It turned out that Aunt Ruth had been picking tomatoes in the garden and had prepared a Caesar salad for dinner.

"Hello Malcolm," she said as I walked into the kitchen.

Aunt Ruth had the typical Alsatian look that most of my family has; black and sable fur with a tall, slender frame. Her glasses were pushed halfway up her muzzle as she put the finishing touches to dinner.

Thomas had a similar look (glasses, skinny frame). He often wears t-shirts with movie and game logos on them, and at that moment he was wearing a blue shirt with the old Atari logo on the front. Thomas is a nice guy, but he wasn't the cousin I was the closest to, mostly because he's obsessed with memes and makes references I don't get.

He was setting plates on the table and gestured for me to sit down. I sat as Aunt Ruth placed the salad on the table.

"So, what were you up to yesterday?" she asked me.

"I went out with some friends and stayed over with a guy from my course," I replied, giving an abridged version of the truth.

Damn, I forgot to text Hudson.

As soon as the thought entered my mind, my phone vibrated in my pocket as if on cue. I tried to maintain a straight face as Aunt Ruth nodded.

"I hope you had a good time, now do help yourself," she said, pushing the serving spoon in my direction.

Aunt Ruth's husband (my ex-Uncle Neil), had left her five years ago, which was probably for the best as he drank like a sailor. She worked as a chartered accountant, so she wasn't exactly hard done by, but she had been quite alone since the divorce (one reason as to why she was happy to have me as a lodger). However, she and Thomas had grown very close and often had conversations as if I wasn't there.

I took the spoon and began heaping salad onto my plate as Thomas spoke about some computer project from school he was working on. I drifted off into my own head as I thought about last night; my hook-up with Adam, only it wasn't a hook-up as he'd added me as a friend.

Does this mean I can move on from Lachlan now?

I hoped that was the case, but I was shaken from my thoughts by Thomas laughing.

"So it was like the Chad fibre-optic versus the virgin modem," he chuckled.

"What does that mean in English?" Aunt Ruth asked.

I continued eating the Caesar salad and drifted back into my own head. It had a clean, healthy taste which felt good after a night of drinking. However, I also wanted dinner to be over with so I could go and see the message on my phone from Hudson.

Aunt Ruth and Thomas were still eating as I finished my dinner off.

"Would you like some more?" Aunt Ruth offered.

"I'm good thanks," I replied. "Should I do the dishes?"

"I think it is Tom's turn," Aunt Ruth replied. "You said you were going to do them yesterday?"

"I know, but I got distracted," Thomas shrugged.

"Please may I be excused?" I asked.

"Yes," Aunt Ruth said before turning back to Thomas.

I got up, rinsed my plate in the sink and then hurried upstairs.

As soon as I'd closed the door behind me, I pulled out my phone to see what Hudson had to say.

My eyes widened and my tail wagged when I saw it wasn't a message from Hudson, but one from Adam;

Hey, I thought I'd see how you are? Didn't get to talk much last night lol.
