"All Alpha Project Units in the vicinity of Delta 4 Grid 9...please report; a armed robbery is in progress at the South District Data Facility..." spoke a woman over the small 'Com. Slowly a large paw moved to pick up the CB receiver, lifting it off of its hook. A platinum clawed finger slowly depressing the switch.

"This is Unit One. I am only four miles from the Facility, I'm on my way."

A young wolf replied before putting the receiver back upon its hook, then reaching down to the ignition and starting up a jet black Saleen S7 Super Car. The fully upgraded engine revving to life with a rumble before the red and blue track lights on the roof flashed on along with the siren. He then shifted the car in gear as he floored the accelerator causing the rear end to torque up hard, spinning the tires as the car bounced out of a lone alley and onto the road, sliding sideways for a few seconds before realigning and speeding down the road. The setting sun reflecting off both the yellow Bio-hazard logo on the hood and both doors.

Upon reaching the destination the car slid to a stop beside a large S.W.A.T van that rested among the group of standard police cruisers. The Engine shut off as the door opened slowly, allowing the wolf to step from the inside of the car dressed in blue jeans, a white tee-shirt and a black leather jacket with silver studs on the shoulders; his fur a timber wolf gray, his height pushed five foot eight. His eyes covered by a pare of midnight black sunglasses. Soon one of the Sergeants came over, glancing at the tall building they was outside.

"What's the situation. Sergeant.?"

The young man looked to him slightly. "Well Lieutenant. We have a armed group inside the building and at least six hostages. It seams they want to keep us out of the building only...they shot three of the SWAT members that tried to storm the entrance...when they pulled back no more shots were fired."

"So you need me to go in and clean up the place, huh." he replied while pulling a large Desert Eagle .50AE magnum from his side, ejecting the clip and checking it over before slipping it back into the gun. "Where are they located?"

"There in the Data Lab; located up on the Twentieth floor. They locked themselves and the hostages behind the blast door that was made to secure the area. We'll send a demo crew with you."

"No. I'll go myself, and you just keep your guys ready to come in when I have the place secure." the wolf replied while walking off toward the building, his long five foot tail twitching slightly. Upon entering the building a gunshot ripped the air as a 5.54x45mm round hit his leg. Slowly he turned his head to where the shot came from, seeing a black wolf standing up on the second floor with a M4A1 fitted with a scope. Seeing its target not go down; the sniper fired once more only to miss as the young wolf stepped to the side at the last second. "My turn." he smirked, quick drawing his magnum and firing a round at the sniper, hitting him in the chest; the heavy magnum round hitting the wolf like a speeding truck, sending him flying backwards, killing him dead before he hit the floor.

Soon a small group of armed thugs came from behind the counter at the far end of the room, armed with handguns and compact machineguns.

The young wolf stepped behind a tall pillar that reached to the second floor as bullets ripped into the stone. He waited silently as one of the attackers moved closer to his hiding place, his large paw then curled into a half fist, his claws ready to strike before he then lashed out with his paw, striking the unsuspecting person in the neck. His razor sharp claws digging into the flesh beneath the black mask, before squeezing; breaking the personas neck like a dry twig.

He then grabbed the MP5 Sub-machine gun that was still clutched in the persons hand, and stepped out into the open with both it and his magnum aimed before he opened fire. In a matter of seconds the lobby was filled with the sounds of gunfire and flying lead. When the gunshots faded out he was left standing alone in the middle of the lobby with both guns; smoke softly drifting up from the barrels. He had wounds upon both his arms and his chest, not to mention a cut along his muzzle where a stray bullet had bounced off of the wall beside him.

Doing a quick survey of the area he then made his way to the twentieth floor. As the elevator doors opened; machine gun fire erupted as bullets hammered into the back of the lift sending sparks flying. When the smoke cleared he stepped from around the corner of the door downing a group of four robbers with marksman precision; each round finding there mark. Slowly the young wolf stepped up to a large cylinder door. He looked over the metal silently before grinning. "This? Wow...no problem."

"Those last shots didn't sound like our guys. Do you think someone made it up here?" spoke one of the robbers: a young ocelot.

"No. They wouldn't be stupid enough...though it doesn't really matter dose it?" replied a dingo as he looked back to the last remaining hostage with a chuckle.

"Yeah...maybe so, but our sniper hasn't replied to any of our hail's, and we have lost contact with the group in the lobby." replied the ocelot before he turned to the door as a loud thud came from the other side. "What was that?!"

"Don't worry...nothing can bust through that door. They built this room to keep people out..." the dingo shrugged before the next thud hit, this time causing the metal door to creak as a part of bent out slightly. "What the fuck!?"

Standing outside the room; the young wolf pulled back his fist before taking another swing. His fist connecting with the metal with such force that it started to bend the steel in places where he had hit. "Seams I'll have to rip this door apart. There goes my pay." he smirked as he sent another punch into the center of the door, hearing every metal deadbolt crack. "One more hit."

He pulled back his fist, a bit of flesh had pealed from his knuckles, showing a soft shine of blood coated metal. He then sent one last swing at the center with full force; the impact shattering all the deadbolts and sending the door crashing into the room, hitting the floor with a thick thud sending up dust as the impact shattered the marble tiles. He stood in the opening with a grin. "Knock knock...it's the big bad wolf."

"What the hell is he!?" the ocelot hissed as he took aim with a Glock 38, his paw shaking slightly.

"I don't care." the Dingo replied, grabbing the hostage; a young snow white she-wolf with blue eyes. He then pulled out a Raptor .45ACP, putting the barrel to her head. "Move and this little bitch will be leaving in a body bag."

"I'm Lieutenant Max Charger of the Alpha Project. You are both under arrest...its 'Your' call to leave in cuffs or a bag." the wolf spoke up from the doorway, as he held his magnum ready.

"Nope. You drop the cannon and back your ass up, or I'll drop you." snapped the Dingo, pressing the barrel of the Semi-auto harder against the she-wolfs head as to state his point.

"Okay. Just take it easy." Max spoke softly. "I'm putting down the gun." he slowly lowered the Desert Eagle then tossing it to the side as he watched them carefully.

"Hah! Too easy." the Dingo smirked, aiming the Raptor .45 at Max. during that time; Max had reached behind himself, pulling out a stub nose Ruger .454 Alaskan revolver. He was the first to shoot; the elongated .45 Long Colt round ripping into the Dingo's shoulder causing him to jerk sideways as he fired...the round hitting the ocelot beside him.

As the ocelot fell to the floor...Max moved up close to the Dingo, grabbing the gun and tossing it to the side before his elbow found its home under the dogs muzzle sending him flying backwards and to the floor with a thud; out cold. During the little scuffle, the hostage moved under a metal desk, curling up slightly with her knees to her chest. Slowly Max walked over to her as he picked up his magnum; replacing it once more in its holster. He then kneeled down near the table, holding out a large paw.

"It's okay. Your safe now. I'm one of the good guys." he smiled softly, watching as her trembling paw reached out slowly to take his. He then carefully pulled the she-wolf to her feet, he then turned around, looking over the area slowly before he reached down to depress a button on the radio at his side. "Area secure."

Slowly the wolf looked at the Door and back to Max. "What are you?"

Max smiled slightly, giving a soft chuckle. "I think you have had enough excitement for the day. Come on, lets get you down to the medics." he replied softly while leading her out of the room just as the elevator door opened allowing a large group of armored troops to file out into the hall.

"Lieutenant." spoke one of the S.W.A.T members; a middle aged Doberman.

Once outside the building, he led the she-wolf to the EMT that waited silently beside the group of police cars and S.W.A.T. Vans. Max then walked away to a large black van that had the same Bio-Hazard logos that was upon his car. He stepped through the backdoor of the van before they closed behind him. The she-wolf he had just saved was sitting on the bumper of the Ambulance, watching the van with interest before seeing the doors open once more and Max step out slowly with gloves now upon his paws that matched his jacket; gloves he didn't have on before. He then moved back to his car and took his leave in silence besides the sound of the super car roaring its way down the street.

Two days had passed since then and the white wolf was walking down the street silently. She glanced to the side as she passed by the windows of a small diner before she saw the same wolf that had saved her life in the robbery two days ago. She stood there silently before walking to the doors of the diner, while taking one last hit from the cigarette that rested in her muzzle before tossing it to the side while blowing the steel blue smoke from her nose and stepping into the restaurant and over to the booth where Max was seated. She was hesitant at first but then spoke softly.

"Uh...mind if I join you?"

Slowly Max looked up at her with tri-tone eyes; the red, blue and yellow clashing together slightly. He then looked back to his glass of coke in front of him. "I don't mind. Do sit."

Slowly the white wolf sat down across from him with a slight nod. "I didn't get a chance to say thanks...for saving me." she paused for a second before starting to speak once more but soon stopped when the Lieutenant looked at her with a piercing stare, and it caused her to think she said something wrong. "I'm..."

"Haley Donnason. I know. You just moved here and have been working at the Data Facility for Creative studies." Max countered slowly as if he had been reading word for word from a file.

Haley gave a slight nod. "Yeah...um...how did you know that?" she asked as she tilted her head.

"You had to file a D-94 Passport when you moved here. It's a file that is logged into all the local police database and AP." Max replied offhandedly before taking a drink of his soda. He then leaned back slowly in his seat while setting the glass upon the table once more. "What can I do for you pup.?"

"I...um...just wanted to thank you for what you did...and..." she then blinked "Pup? You don't look no older than me." Haley tilted her head, now confused. "How old 'are' you?"

Max shrugged slightly before closing his eyes, a slight half smile creeping across his muzzle. "Roughly three hundred and fifty years old.".

At that, the wolf nearly fell from the seat in dumbfounded shock but quickly recovered some of her posture but still her eyes was glazed over with confused wonder.

"How's that possible?"

"Do you really want to know.?" he asked softly as he opened his eyes to look at her. The grin never leaving his muzzle. All he got in reply was a soft nod, he then sighed slightly. "I'm part of the Alpha Project. It is a branch of the Armed services that has became incorporated with the local Police. It was originally built to support Wounded members of the service but was then switched to not only help, but to also give those who was Wounded in Action a second chance in serving and defending there home." he slowly pulled off the leather glove that was upon his left paw, showing nothing but platinum metal that formed the skeletal form of his paw. "I am the first design they have advanced."

"So that's how you was able to get through the blast door?" Haley asked softly, captivated by what she was learning, looking like a young Pup at story time.

"That's right. Nothing but brute force." he replied while leaning forward as he pulled the glove back on. "I am the very first test subject that the AP had used. I doubt you have heard of the first cybernetic war?" he gave a slight nod when Haley shook her head. "Thought so. That was over forty years ago. I lost a good portion of my body due to that war. Both arms, my chest and half my face. Roughly thirty percent of my body is metal and wire."

"But...how are you that old?"

He sighed softly and leaned back once more and waved over a waiter "You want a drink kid?"

"Uh...Coke?"

Max looked to the young Vixen who stood beside the table, a soft smile upon her muzzle, and a small tray up under a robotic arm. "Two Cokes for me and my friend here." he spoke with a smile that made the Vixen giggle softly with a nod, taking the almost empty glass from the table and walking away before giggling like a school girl who met the high school hotty. He then looked back to the wolf with a smirk. "I am of a Devine birth. My mother was a Goddess of war and my father was a Soldier Demon. it's a Very long story."

"I got all day." Haley replied with a smile as she leaned against the table with her arms crossed upon the top.

Max reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of Marlboro 100's and a gold plated oil lighter with a bloodstone in the center of the main body. He opened the top of the box, pulling out one of the long paper sticks and placing it to his muzzle while holding out the box to the wolf. Haley smiled slightly taking one of the cigarettes, watching as Max lit his.

"Well...lets get down to the matter at paw here and make a long story short. My mother fell in love with my father and had me...what little my mother knew at the time was that my father knew about what would happen when the two of them would mate. Its been told that if a demon mated with a god...or a goddess in this case. The child that would become of the paring would be powerful." he stopped speaking as the Vixen returned with there drinks before leaving with a few soft giggles.

"What happened next?" Haley asked softly as she took a drink of her soda, never taking her eyes off of the wolf before her.

"Well...when my father learned of the power that I held...he tried to convince my mother that the both of them should use me to take over both heaven and hell...but she wouldn't go for it. So he killed her when she denied him that, and protected me. This was all when I was just two years old. She herself was a young pup as well...about...four hundred if I do remember right." he closed his eyes as he blew the smoke from his nose while flicking the ash into the small black plastic tray in front of him. "I've dedicated all my life to protect the people of this city and to also hunt down my father."

"Talk about family trouble." Haley smirked slightly before she gulped, thinking that might have not been the best to say.

She looked to Max, seeing him just staring at her.

"Yeah. That's about the size of it." he replied while taking a drink. "I lost my mother twice..." he looked at his lighter slowly, staring intently at the stone.

"Twice?"

"Yeah...Twice. The first you know about...the second time I was able to catch her spirit and place it in containment of another body that she had chosen. My father had just about killed me and she gave her life again for me...stepping into his line of attack and taking his blade once more." he spoke softly while gripping the lighter tightly. "All because of power." he whispered softly before he was jerked from his dream when the ground shook and a car came sliding down the street upon its roof.

"What the...?" Haley looked out the window at the car before a voice boomed from outside, full of rage and hate.

"Come on out Maxamillion.."

"Marlous." Max growled softly.

"Who?"

"My father." he replied, standing up slowly as he placed down the cash to pay for there drinks as he walked to the door. Haley watched him leave before she rushed from her seat and out of the diner, hiding behind a light pole watching him walk into the middle of the street slowly as he pulled his magnum from under his jacket.

"Here I am you bastard. Come on out of the dark and face me like a man." he snarled.

"Oh I prefer to have a bit of fun first, Son." replied a deep voice before a large Freight Liner semi came flying down the street toward Max as if shot from a high powered cannon, only to slam full force into the young wolf. The front of the truck caved in like it hit a solid bolder. The sound of shattering glass and bending metal was heard over the crash as steam poured from the damaged radiator. Everyone on the street looked on in terror before Max jumped on top of the wrecked truck then down to the street with a smirk as he dusted off his jacket.

"What...is that all?" he snickered before another car came flying down the street once more before a flash of light exploded upon impact. Time seamed to slow down as the car split down the middle in a shower of sparks, oil and fuel before flames burst out on the split car with a bang from behind him. Max stood there silently with a grin, a beautiful seven foot double edged diamond blade sword in his paw, the platinum hilt covered with intertwined ropes of silver and gold as the center held a crystal ball the size of a silver dollar with two wolves in the center standing nose to nose; one black and one white.

"Come on father...it seams like you aren't even trying."

'Wow. This...this is like some Sci-fi movie.' Haley though as she watched from her hiding spot, her blue eyes watching every move Max made.

"Still playing hero I see." the deep voice spoke softly before a tall black wolf appeared in the middle of the street about forty feet away from Max.

He was dressed in a black suit and a blood red tie. His height was about six foot, his eyes a deep golden yellow. In one large paw was a large seven foot long sword, its blade also pure diamond as Max's. the only difference was the edges was lined with serrated teeth.

"I don't play hero. I am one." he snarled slightly. "I'm going to make you bleed you asshole. I'm going to make you beg for me to kill you!" he held out his sword, as black lightning pulsed up and down the length. He then sprinted toward Marlous with a growl and his sword at the side. Marlous grinned slightly while adjusting his tie with one large paw before bringing his sword to the ready and swinging it down upon Max with blinding speed only to come in contact with the other. Sparks flew from impact before Max slammed his fist into the wolfs chest sending him sliding backwards down the street, the claws upon his feet digging into the road and ripping deep gashes in his wake.

"Not bad. You've gotten stronger since last time we fought. Here...lets make this more...interesting." Marlous snickered as he held up a paw. Dark mist forming around it before pools of blood formed upon the road before him, then soon three large demons raised up from the blood. There height pushing a massive eight feet, there skin a deep black. Silver spikes along there spines and a large blade in there hands. Slowly the demons advanced upon Max with thunderous steps.

"What's wrong...can't take me yourself, so you need more help?" Max grinned "These will just be a warm up for me."

He then crouched down to the ground before jumping backwards just as one of the demons sent its blade down at him; only to hit the road. He landed upon the ground before sprinting toward the demon, jumping upon its shoulder before he brought the diamond blade down upon its neck; decapitating the creature with one swing. He then jumped to the ground as it shattered into dust before he turned his attention to the other two that started to surround him.

He then brought up his sword to block a wild swing from behind him as he took aim with his magnum at the one beside him when it tried to close in for a kill. Firing off five rounds into its face, watching as it stumbled back, roaring in pain. He then adjusted himself to shrug off the blade from his before he brought his sword up in a deadly uppercut that cleaved through the beasts chest and dropping it to its knees, then driving his blade into its skull before unleashing a burst of lightning through the sword that soon turned the beast into ash.

Before he could even react quick enough...the last demon had grabbed him in one large hand and lifted him up off the ground, squeezing him tightly before slamming him full force into the side of a building causing a spider web of cracks to spread out across the wall and his magnum to drop from his paw. Despite all of the young wolfs best efforts to get a good hit with his blade, the worst he could do was place small cuts along the demons arm due to the lack of leverage and force.

'Fuck...this damn things got more pressure than twenty tons. If I don't get free...the pressure might do more damage than I want right now.' he thought as he kept trying to get a good hit upon the arm that held him against the wall.

Haley looked around before she found a pipe that was beside the curb. The black paint showed it came from the damaged semi-truck. She then slowly picked up the pipe and charged out into the street.

'What in the hell am I doing...this guy broke through a high security blast door...I can't even kick open a wooden front door. I'm gonna get killed.!' she thought but before she knew it, the beast roared in pain and tossed Max into a parked car, shattering the body like it was nothing. Haley looked up to see that she had drove the pipe into the demons side.

'Uh oh...I'm so...' The demon then turned on her with a growl, before it started to advance on the white wolf. "Dead." she whimpered as she started stepping back slowly. The beast then reached out for her but then reared back, roaring in pain once more as a hole appeared in its hand over the sound of a gunshot.

Max stood on the demolished car with his magnum aimed, the empty clip causing the heavy slide to become locked back into place. He then tossed the gun to the side and charged the demon with a snarl. "BACK TO HELL WITH YOU!" he yelled as he brought his sword to the side, the edges becoming coated in white and black flames before he passed in front of the beast with one mighty swing that cut right through the middle of the creatures body. Flames then erupted from the cut before the upper half of the demon fell backwards. Upon impact on the ground, both half's turned to ash, the steel pipe hitting the street with a clang. He looked around noticing that Marlous had slipped away once more, and that caused him to growl slightly.

Slowly Max turned to Haley, stepping up beside her with a slight smile. "You did good pup. Thanks." he placed his paw upon the young wolfs shoulder before he then walked over to pick up his magnum, reloading it before walking back to her as his sword changed into a hovering crystal ball before disappearing and soon reappearing as a pendant attached to a necklace around his neck. "Want to finish those drinks?"

Haley looked to him with a soft smile, before giving a nod. "Sure...I could use one. You okay?" she asked while they walked back into the diner and to there previous spot. Once more ordering drinks and lighting up a few cigarettes. Max then looked at her with a smile as he took a drink, he then sat down his glass.

"You should join the force kid...you got guts. The AP could do wonders for your Creative Skills...not to mention a weeks pay for starting out is about four grand." he smirked softly as he blew smoke from his nose.

Haley laughed softly, turning her head to hide her blush before she shook her head, looking back to him. "I'll think about it." she smiled before she then looked out the window. "What were they?"

"I'll respect that." he smiled before taking another drink and setting it down "Those was my fathers Hunters. I see he has updated there breed. At first they was hell hounds with bladed tails and acid skin. Now there Destroyers. Guess I should quit holding back."

He shrugged slightly and looked at her.

"Holding back?"

"There was too many people around...I couldn't use all my power. Now if there wasn't any around...I would have gone all out and been done sooner." he shrugged slightly once more before closing his eyes and laughing softly. "He knows what would happen if he fought me outright at this point. I'm still mastering my powers and strength but I can still take him. He's trying to tire me out so I will be weak. I'm not going to give him that luxury. That or he's got a plan forming and is buying time until he is finished...I don't know."

"Ah I see. Will he be back.?" she asked while tilting her head slightly, watching him with a interest that grew with every passing second.

"No...he's gone for now...thinking of another plan or having a bitch fit.." Max replied softly before smiling softly. "You got any plans for the rest of the day?"

"No I don't...why?" she couldn't help but laugh softly at the first part of the statement.

"I'd like to hang with ya kid...you're good company. And its been a long time since I talked to someone this much." he spoke softly and tapped the table slightly.

"Not many friends huh? I know the feeling." Haley countered with a soft nod. "Sure...I could use a good friend. Its been hard to find any since I moved here."

"Welcome to Delta Four." he laughed softly while holding out his paw, watching as the white wolf took his paw firmly. "I'll give ya a tour after this."

"I'd like that...I still haven't seen much of the city." she then took her paw back and tilted her head slightly, one of her ears flicking.

"You're in for a treat. I guarantee it." Max replied softly and gave a nod, reaching out and giving her a soft rub between the ears. Both of them was certain that this would start out as a great friendship.
