First days training, what i learned on day 1

well i've finally gotten to chapter 2 of the new series hoping to pick it up faster so i can continue more easily. anyways this chapter is clean to so you'll have to wait a little longer to see any yiff but for now Enjoy!
Chapter 2
First Days training, what I learned on day 1
I found out my training will last much longer than I thought and that means my dad will have to wait.
Though I still don't know his reasoning for not coming back...why didn't someone try and go after him earlier? Why train me? What do they need me for...?
It doesn't really matter now; the matter of the fact is that I'm here, not my stronger brothers and sister but me.
I just hope I can do well; I don't want to end up being sent home because of weakness.
Izzy walked me to the room after telling me I needed some more rest as he had said before.
"Here you go" he opened the door for me and let me in.
As I stepped into the room my foot tripped on something heavy but soft and lumpy, I fell forward and my face landed strait onto a pillow.
I heard Izzy laughing behind me as he grabbed my arm and lifted me up a little. "Looks like you found the bed" he said giggling.
The whole room was a decent size and had a small window on the wall opposite of the door but most of the floor was just covered in a large mattress with furry pillows that looked like they were made from the local wildlife.
"Yea..." I said with a yawn.
He chuckled quietly and let me go so I would land on the pillow again, this time my head facing up towards the ceiling.
"You have a nice rest alright Xee and we'll discuss your training tomorrow" he started to close the door.
"Hold on a sec" I stopped him sitting up "if I need anything for the night where can I find you, where's your room?" I asked.
He chuckled again "what do you mean? Your sitting in my room right now" he stuck out his tongue again.
"Why am I in your room?" I asked him, I didn't want to take his space since I knew most dragons including myself did occasionally get territorial.
He started giggling again...he really laughs a lot...am I doing something funny?
"this is 'our' room for now" he smiled "I wasn't informed that I would have a new room mate so for now we can share my room it's plenty big enough for the two of us...plus there's only two bed rooms in this complex" he rubbed the back of his head "and it'd be best if we gave the lady some space...you know"
I nodded "ok..." I let myself lay down on the mattress as I saw him leave the room.
Well it looks like I have a bunk mate now...I don't see another bed in here...I'm not really all to used to this, hopefully we can just work out some means of sleep but for now I might as well get some rest while I'm alone...
I closed my eyes and let my body sink into the comfortable mattress below me letting my mind wander though a feeling of anxiety flew through my head I just imagined old happy memories to calm myself down and succumb to my tiredness.
I awoke still feeling a little tired but there was a light pouring through the window breaking my cycle of sleep.
But I noticed as I shifted over to sit up, something was wrapped around my ankle.
I got closer and touched it with my hands, it was smooth but tough, I followed along it leading my hand a long way all the way behind me, I fully opened my eyes to see what I was touching.
I pulled my hand away as soon as I realized that I was grabbing the base of a sleeping Izzy's tail, which could have been awkward if Izzy was awake...
I carefully pulled away Izzy's tail from my leg and stood up making sure I got out of the room without waking up Izzy.
I've always been used to making quiet escapes to get out of little sibling squabbles so luckily that skill came in handy.
I walked out into the main area where it seemed quiet, I must have woken up before everyone else, it's a good thing to now I can go prepare myself for today.
I headed for the front door Izzy had carried me through the other day and went along through the hallway and down the stairs to search for an exit.
I noticed there were very few other dragons out and moving now through the hallways but maybe I could ask one of them for help.
I walked up to a dark purple like dragon that was about my size and he had a fuzzy mane going along his back and down his tail.
"Hi" I said quickly trying to smile but suffering from morning drowsiness.
"Hello...you're a new face" he said holding out his hand and grabbing mine before shaking it. "The names Aiderun Ami nice to meet you"
Wow this guy is friendly or he just likes to introduce himself.
"I'm Xee, but could I ask you a quick question uhhh...where can I exit this building?" I asked making it seem like I had to get out of there immediately, which in a way I did.
"Oh umm, just go down this hallway and make a left and there should be a door there leading outside" he explained using his hands to point in that direction.
I started heading towards the hallway "thank you Aiderun" I said taking a few steps.
"No problem...I'll see you around Xee" he waved to me and I started going a little faster towards the doors.
I didn't mean to be so rude and dash out on him like that but I really needed to get out of this place since personally my bladder felt like it was going to explode.
I ran out the doors into an open area with dirt corners by the edge of the building and a small water pond from what it looked like, so I ran to a corner by the building and undid my pants so I could relieve myself.
A few moments later I was feeling much better and removed my clothes so I could clean up in the pond nearby.
I heard a few little giggles and gasps from one or two people walking by but I would expect that...some people seemed a bit immature.
Then as I was cleaning my face I heard someone running up behind me and calling out to me.
"Xee! I've been looking all over for you, what are you doing put your clothes back on you shouldn't be naked outside!" Izzy said towering over me grabbing my pants and pushing them onto me. "Quickly hurry up you don't want anyone to see you" I grabbed my pants and slipped them on as he seemed to be blocking everyone else's view of me.
"What's wrong with trying to clean myself up?" I asked pulling my pants up fully and getting my vest on.
He turned to look at me fully dressed "your not supposed to do it outside that's what the bathroom is for..." he grabbed my arm and started helping me get back inside.
"Uhhh...what?" I knew what a bathroom was but back home we usually just used the back of the house with the brook Michael never seemed to mind.
Izzy stopped after we entered the door "you're a village goer aren't you?" he asked looking at me strangely.
"I guess" I answered.
"Hmmm...I should have known that..." he rubbed the back of his head "well from now on don't use outside, the school is more of an urban site not many people go outside to bathe any more."
I sighed "ok...but it's much clearer out there...why do all that in a reeking room?"
"it's just what people do...but don't worry about it ok, when we go on our outdoor training you can be outside as much as you want" he patted my shoulder and took me back to the room.
"Ah good you found him" I heard Lily say as we opened the door and walked back into the complex. "Didn't want to lose the new guy so early that would be a shame" she smiled at me slightly and then sat on a stool.
"So who gets him first?" Izzy asked.
"I think I do..." Lily answered looking at the papers I was given the other day "his schedule only has the two of us in it but I don't remember going through this kind of training before" she seemed a little confused.
"What did you expect with what we signed up with...doesn't matter now I guess" Izzy said stretching his arms "I'm going to get some breakfast do you want anything?"
"No thanks" she sighed contently "I'm fine for now just get Xee something to eat so he can focus on his lesson" she quickly pointed at me.
I looked at her and then at Izzy, I supposed they wanted me to say what I wanted to eat.
"ummm...do you have any thing meaty?" I asked.
"Oh sure" Izzy smiled "I'll get some, be back in an hour" he then walked out the door.
I suddenly felt something on top of my muzzle; "you're going to need start using one of these" Lily said showing me a small wooden cylinder with a sharpened point at the end of it balancing on my nose.
"Ok..." I said removing the object away from my muzzle "what's it used for?"
She looked at me strangely "it's used for writing...didn't your dad teach you how to write?"
I remember one time my dad was showing me how to make letters and spell my name but we never used one of these we used our claws in the sand and dig out the shapes of the words.
"Yea I know how to write but I just haven't used this thing before" I held it up.
She smirked "we you got to start learning and learn quickly" she leaned over the table and crept closer to me as she looked at me in the eye "every thing you learn here will save your life" she was about an inch away from the tip of my nose "got that?" she asked and I nodded.
She sort of scared me there but she looked pretty stunning from the view I had from her being so close.
"Alright now let's start with the basics" she said pulling herself back to sit on the seat properly.
She opened up a few books on the table and started to show me a few maps, she said I wouldn't have to write today but soon enough I would be using the thing she called a pencil.
She started pointing out where we were on the maps and explained to me how to tell direction and how to go about reading maps, but this was knowledge I had already known so there wasn't anything new to me with that part.
But then she started circling a few points on the map showing the areas close to us, she told me that my training required us to go on field training missions; which to me sounded kind of fun.
Then Izzy came back with a large tray and he handed me a loaf of bread with a mass amount of meat squished between the two halves of it.
I thanked him and started eating as Lily continued the lesson, I think we sat there for a few hours while Lily explain to me the different types of terrain and wildlife in the area and I seemed to understand that stuff easily since I've lived in places where I've gotten used to that kind of stuff.
"alright I think you have learned enough today and you seemed to handle pretty well" Lily complimented me "this might be a little easier than I thought hopefully you'll fair this well when we go on our first outdoor training mission we get to scout the area" she said sounding a little excited.
Then I felt a large hand on my shoulder "ok bud now you're all mine for the rest of the day" Izzy smiled "and by the end of your lesson I'm probably going to be carrying you back to the room"
I gulped, was he seriously going to work me that hard?
He laughed and started leading me out of the room "we'll be back later Lily don't be surprised if we're not back by dark" Izzy yelled back to her as we left and went down the hall.
"Now the real fun begins no more learning from books, you got to do things the right way" he patted my back pushing me forward slightly as he led me to a door.
"We have a great facility for physical arts but since it's your first lesson I'll let you choose do you want to train outdoors or indoors today?" he asked with a big smile on his face.
I haven't seen much of this place yet so I really don't know what I should do "how about you show me your favorite place to train" I said.
Izzy scooped his arms down and grabbed me and started hugging me "ok you'll love it since it's perfect for what we were going to do today" he let me down and opened the door which led to another hallway full of labeled doors and rooms.
Went along and passed by a few rooms.
'Equipment room'
'Binding room'
'Lockers'
'Pool'
'Mirror room'
'Dark room'
'Plush room'
Then we stopped at a door that was labeled Lightwing Garden.
"This is the place" Izzy said pushing open the doors letting the bright daylight shine in "come on" he pulled me along.
This area was huge it was a massive dome like structure with the roof half open and thick stone walls surrounding the perimeter.
There was tall grass along the walls with flowers and such growing bellow them, near the center was a pond with a flat stone path going through it.
"Wow...this looks...pretty amazing" I said staring off at the walls of the room which looked like they had a few strange symbols on them.
Izzy giggled "well...yea it is pretty amazing...especially since I helped build it" he smiled and walked off towards the center where the pond was.
He really built up part of this place; I wonder what he was working on...but this place looks like its slightly old but well taken care of.
I followed behind him as he jumped into the center of the water where a small rock platform stood, he gestured me to join him so I leaped over the edge of the pond and landed next to him.
"So this is your favorite spot to train?" I asked as he turned to look at me from the other side of the small platform.
He smirked "of course I love it here...now are you ready to start" he cracked his knuckles.
I flinched "wh-what are we supposed to be doing?" I took a slight step back.
He didn't speak he just lunged at me, I was almost too scared to move but I flexed my wings and jumped into the air.
He grabbed my ankle and dragged me down towards him; what was he doing has he lost his mind?
I flicked my tail at his arm and caused him to lose grip, I landed off next to the pond just looking back at him still in an offensive position.
"What was all that for Izzy!" I yelled at him.
"hmmm not much of a fighter are you?" he said going back into a more calm posture "we're really going to have to whip you into shape if your going to be prepared for our outdoor mission" he stepped over back to the other side of the pond getting closer to me, I started walking back I didn't know if he was going to attack me again.
He stopped as he noticed me moving back and attempted a smile "Xee... you don't have to be scared of me" he continued moving towards me "remember what I said? I told you I'm not going to hurt you" he held out his hand overshadowing me with his enormous body "I'm here to help train you and protect you"
If he's only supposed to help me then why did he just attack me? Maybe I should get used to how they do things...maybe this was a test.
I still was contemplating whether to trust his words so I was waiting to see if he had anything else more to say.
"how about we try something easier for now?" he said taking a few steps back, he put his arms down letting them swing at his side "come on Xee lets see what you got, lets do a little drill" he put his hands behind his back "I want you to try punching me right in the gut"
I looked at his huge body and the muscles showing through the fabric of his shirt, how was I going to match that...?
"Come on Xee we don't have all day you know" he chuckled
"uh-hmmm alright" I didn't really have much of a choice I don't think I would be able to do much damage anyway.
I ran closer and pulled my elbow back before throwing my first punch into his abdomen.
He didn't even flinch my fist just was halted on impact with his body; he snorted and looked down at me "is that the best you can do?"
"uhhh" I was almost speechless "it's like punching a wall..." I withdrew my arm and looked at my hand which looked slightly scraped from the impact.
He chuckled "well try again, lets see if you can break down this wall" he flexed.
As I saw his muscles bulge and stress it made me feel intimidated but strangely determined I kind of wanted to take him down just to prove I could do it but it just seemed like an incredibly hard feat.
Here goes nothing...
I tried a different strategy this time and used both hands to swing back and forth to punch quickly but it was fairly unsuccessful...this isn't working and he hasn't moved an inch.
What's he made of?
The last few punches were starting to ware me out I don't think I could handle this much longer; I was heavily breathing and he was still just standing there like nothing happened other than a few little wrinkles in his shirt.
"Oh you're getting a little better I might just break a sweat...maybe" he said taunting me for sure.
I roared and leaned back before swinging my fist towards him as hard as I could slamming into him at high speed.
All I felt was my whole body trembling from the vibration of hitting his solid wall of muscle.
He started laughing "oh that just tickles now"
Is he serious?! I can't even make him move while he's laughing in my face; but I'm too tired to care anymore.
He lowered his head to look at me "you tired already bud?" he used one of his large hands to rub my head making me groan in an annoying tone.
I think it's safe to say that lesson 1 was 'never mess with Izzy' ...he's funny but I don't think I'd want to get him upset...not with what he's packing.
"Yea..." I said quietly pulling my fist away and slouching from exhaustion.
"awww...don't be looking so discouraged it took me years to get like this, so don't expect much on your first try" he said trying to cheer me up.
"Yea...could we sit and rest a little?" I asked tiredly.
"or how about we call it a day...I didn't think I'd get you this tired so quickly" he said lifting me up a little "d'you want me to carry you back to get some rest?"
I felt kind of ashamed of myself for losing my energy so easily and getting nowhere I think I should maintain what dignity I have left and just walk with him.
"No I'm alright...I can manage my way back" I said heading for the door.
"I'm still going with you, might as well since I have no one else to spar with today" Izzy said following me down the hallways and opening a few doors for me.
We reached the complex and noticed Lily was still there reading a few large books that seemed to be the equivalent amount of knowledge per square inch of muscle for Izzy...how can she remember all of that?
"Your back early, how'd it go?" Lily asked just glancing at us before looking back at the pages on the table.
"It was ok" Izzy said putting his hand on my back "he just needs a bit more rest I might have been a bit too rough"
Well at least he wasn't trying to make me look to weak in front of her.
I headed off to the bedroom and quickly took a dive into the soft mattress; this was going to be harder than I thought...but it's all worth it...right?
...to go save my dad...I just need to keep up and be able to get stronger for him.
I won't let my training go to waste... I'll be sure to prove myself when we go on our first mission.

well now it looks like Xee has his work cut out for him so if you want to see what happens next you'll just have to wait until chapter 3 where things will start getting more exciting.
