#8 of Mesozoic Park

Alright guys, sorry for another short part, I wanted to end on a bit of a cliffhanger, thanks.

I woke-up and rolled to face Gena, she was stretching her arms over her head. She said "last night was... Amazing!"

I laughed a little and said "You took the words right out of my mouth... Good morning sweeie"

"good morning" she replied and stretched her legs before asked "so, what do you have to do today?"

I sat-up and looked at my watch before saying "well I have 45 minuets to get ready, than I have to greet the first guests and than personally feed the dino-birds"

Gena stood and started heading for the shower, she stopped and asked "why do you personally feed the... animals"

I stood and said "When they hatch, I am the first living thing they see... They imprint on me, they think I am there mom. Uh, so to keep that connection with them, I feed them" Gena nodded and walked to the shower. I now realize that I'm not the cleanest myself.

I go into the staff showers. I do have a personal shower, but Gena is using it. I look down at myself, I'm not that dirty, its just the smell and fur stuck together from last night.

After I got out of the shower I stood in front of the mirror as I dried off "I look like a rat when I get wet" I mumbled to myself.

I looked in a mirror before drying off. almost in a whisper, I said "I look like a rat when I'm wet" I wagged my tail, sending water flying everywhere and the weight of the water almost taking me off my feet.

After I got dry enough, I got dressed and looked at my watch, I still have a few minuets until I have to greet the guests. I went out on my deck and lay-down on a deck chair to sun myself. I do quite enjoy laying in the sun, but I almost never have a chance to do so. Knowing me, I will fall asleep laying here... So I set a alarm on my watch.

I absolutely love my job, no boss pushing me around, workers I get along with well, amazing pay and plenty of time to relax, over a month passes and it feels like only a few days.

One day before opening, Alexa came up to me "We are all ready to begin incubation on the dinosaur DNA, Jake!" she said excitedly.

I smiled "thats fantastic, what kind of egg will we need to do this?" I asked.

"We looked at the genetic code to try and find out the species but we could only come to a 95% agreement that it's fairly large and an ostrich egg will do" She explained.

I nodded replying "I was anticipating this moment and I kept a few stored away, I'll get those and meet you in the lab"

After giving Alexa and her team the ostrich eggs, I went to feed the dino-birds.

A week later the work was done on three eggs and a total of 42 days later, the eggs where ready to hatch.

We had National Geographic come in and film the whole cloning, incubation and hatching process with explanations about everything from out geneticists me and a few by Gena.

Tickets where sold to see the hatching of this surprise dinosaur, me, the geneticists and Gena had a slight clue as to what it was, thanks to the X-rays we could take, but we wanted it to be a total surprise to the documentary and guests. The first eggshell cracked, I turned to face the audience "Ladies and gentle men" I said "You are about to witness the first dinosaur to hatch in over 65 million years!"
