And we have returned to the debauchery! Hope you all enjoy. Going to be trying to post these twice a week (supposed to post this one yesterday actually, sorry v.v).

After Part 1 is finished I'll start posting Part 2. I don't have a Part 3 yet but if I develop one it will likely be the same world but very separate characters.

Anyway, as always enjoy and please let me know what you think in the comments!

Finding Peace 3

As the pair made it to the forest though, a harsh chill fell across the night and a storm erupted. They and their horses were exhausted but they had to try and press on. Even through the dense trees the rain poured down hard, chilling them both to the bone and soaking their clothes.

"Princess!" Iris called over the storm "we have to stop! We have to find shelter!"

"No!" River called "Just a little further! We can't build a fire here anyway come on!" She pressed on, tugging at her horse's reins and trying desperately to keep it moving. But as they got closer to the mountains with no signs of a guide they could only try to find the village. The land started to slow up, leaving rivers running down at them as they tried to climb. She was shivering badly by now but she knew if they didn't get to the village... they would be in real trouble.

"River!" Iris called suddenly as they continued to climb "do you hear that?".

River paused and strained her ears. It was hard to hear over the pounding rain but then she heard it. It sounded like a dull roar at first but as she looked up she saw it. It was a wall of water. Some kind of damn or blockage must have broken loose. She felt her heart freeze as she gazed upon it and for the first time she genuinely feared her death was imminent. "IRIS RUN!" she screamed and turned to flee but she, the wolfess, and even the horses were swept up and carried down the hillside. There was too much water, too much debris. There was nothing stable to grab onto. And if they were thrown into one of the trees they could easily be killed by the force of the impact. Iris left her horse without hesitation and tried to get to River. But her armor weighed her down, making it difficult to keep her head above water. She swam as hard as she could but she kept swallowing water.

"Iris! Iris hold on!" River screamed "Please... PLEASE IRIS!" But the wolfess went under, and this time she didn't come back up. "IRIS!!" River screamed. She tried to swim towards her, ignoring as her arms and body were cut up by twigs and branches. She had to find her, she couldn't lose her. This was all her stupid idea! Then she saw her. The wolfess surfaced on her back. She'd gotten rid of her breastplate and shield and was now floating lifelessly along the current. River swam hard and caught up to her, helping keep her head up above water. And then she saw it...

The current of the water was flowing them directly towards a massive ravine in the hills. The drop was too great. There was just no way they would survive. She looked down at her unconscious friend, her ears folding back. "I'm so sorry Iris" she sobbed as she clutched at her and closed her eyes, waiting for the end.

She heard the beat and thought it was her heart pounding away it's last at first. But when she realized it was coming from above her she looked up. Her eyes widened seeing something flying around in the storm. Every flash of lightning lit it up like some kind of... dragon. It's shadow passed over them again and again. She closed her eyes and just clung to Iris again. If they were going to die... be it at the hands of a predator or the elements, at least they would die together. She almost laughed just as she felt the water and the ground below start to fall away from her into open air... at least she wouldn't have to marry Bane.

Just when she thought they were going to fall, she felt something hit them. Something massive. She screamed and waited for fangs or claws to bury into her flesh. But instead she only felt warmth and a powerful arm wrapped around her middle. Then the beating continued, louder and much harder then before. Powerful wings lifted them away from the rushing water and back up towards the base of the mountain. She couldn't twist right to see what was happening. But soon they were descending towards a treetop hut and she knew... she knew before they even landed.

He carried them inside and didn't hesitate. He ripped the gown from her body like it was nothing, making her yelp and try to cover herself. But he grabbed a hide and dried her fur as best as he could quickly before wrapping her in a fur and setting her on a pile of them. He then removed Iris' armor with a bit of difficulty and quickly dried her and wrapped her in a fur, depositing her next to River. He stood over them... tall... powerful... his fur was soaked and yet he seemed so warm still. River was barely clinging to consciousness, her eyes drifting closed. He looked down at her and gently brushed the hair back from her face. And she could smell him... brimstone... like... burnt matches... And then she was out.

But she dreamed. She dreamed she was tumbling end over end in nothing but darkness. She couldn't figure out which way was up. She just kept falling and crashing into things she couldn't see. Finally she landed hard on her back. She tried to see through the fog around her, but it was too thick. She sat up and called out for Iris, but there was no answer. As she stood up she turned this way and that, looking for a way out when she felt a hand grab her wrist. She turned with a shriek and found Bane. He was dragging her... dragging her towards an altar and a priest. She didn't want to... didn't want to marry him. But then she blinked... and the altar was a bed... she was naked. She started fighting even harder. But his grip was too strong. He threw her towards the bed and she felt her legs hit the edge and she started to fall. She fell backwards and saw Bane's face looming over her. She couldn't move... couldn't stop her fall... and then she fell into something big... and suddenly all was dark.

She was shaking some, she looked around but she couldn't see much. She felt warm though, very warm. She was surprised at how nice it felt. She tried to twist a bit, struggling against whatever was wrapped around her. She managed to get a hand free of the fur wrapped around her and reached out. She felt something...something strange. It felt almost like... flesh. And then she caught that scent again. She twisted and found herself facing a broad furry chest. She yelped as she realized where she was. The wing looming over her shifted back and she blinked seeing Feugen. He groaned softly and opened his eyes. "Good morning" he grumbled softly "how are you feeling?"

"YEEP!" she screeched, she was in bed with him! She sat up suddenly "wh... what are you doing?!"

"Keeping you warm" he replied without hesitation. He glanced down some and she blinked and followed his gaze. When she sat up the fur had fallen off, leaving her chest exposed. She yelped again and grabbed it, yanking it over her chest. She looked at him and her entire face turned bright pink.

"GET OUT!" she screamed loud enough and desperately enough to send the Chieftain flying out of the bed of furs and out the front of the hut. He turned around looking bewildered and rather confused and was left scratching his head. Fortunately he'd kept his waistwrap on at least.

"Ummm... I was just..." he started to say.

"G... Go away!" River shrieked "Look please just... please just... just go away for right now! I can't... see you right now and you DEFINITELY can't see me!"

"Alright I'll just wait then" he replied.

"O... Okay but no peeking!" she warned.

"Never" replied Feugen, a slight smirk in his voice.

River looked around the hut trying to get her bearings. She finally looked down and saw Iris laying right next to her, blushing and covering her maw with both hands trying desperately not to laugh and looking like she was on the verge of passing out from the effort. "Don't you dare..." River growled and then smacked her "I thought you died!" She whined and suddenly hugged her tight. Iris oofed but she hugged her back.

"Me too kiddo..." she replied softly. She pet gently through the vixen's hair as she felt her shudder with silent sobs. It had been quite the ordeal last night. And River hadn't been the only one who was scared. After several moments she pulled back and gazed at her "how are you feeling?"

"I think I'm okay I... ow..." she winced and touched her side. She had a pretty mean gash that had been bandaged up. Iris shifted her fur wrap and looked down at herself. She had been similarly banged up but seemed okay overall. The wolfess looked at the vixen after a few moments.

"He saved our asses didn't he?..." she asked. River nodded, biting her lip. Iris sighed and rubbed her face "well shit... I really don't want to be in his debt."

"I'd rather be in his then Bane's" River said with a face. Iris snorted and opened her maw to respond but they heard someone approaching outside and then heard voices.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was keeping her warm, she was freezing."

"What do you mean? What did you DO?"

*SMACK SMACK SMACK* "Go shoo! SHOO!"

"Ow ow OKAY!"

There was a rush of air and then Silver opened the tent flap and stepped inside with some fresh fruit and honey bread. Iris blushed but covered herself again as the older female approached. "My apologies for our Chieftain" she muttered quietly "how are you both feeling?"

"We're okay... thank you" River replied softly "How did... how did he find*" she started to ask.

"Are you hungry?" Silver asked with a smile, clearly not wanting to discuss that topic. River took the hint though and took a honey roll and started to eat. She didn't realize how hungry she really was.

She was about to reach for another roll when Iris suddenly blurted out "dammit!". The vixen jumped a little and looked at her. Iris frowned "I had some really good wine in my pack..." she muttered "I was going to share it with..." she blinked and glanced at Silver and then looked away again with a blush. Silver just smiled.

"That's very sweet of you. But it's alright. I'm sure we'll find something we can share." She teased playfully. Iris stuffed another roll in her mouth to keep from saying anything else foolish.

"Thank you..." River said quietly "for all of this I... we brought gifts and... and items to share and..."

"It's alright" Silver replied "we're just glad that you are safe. The storm was dangerous for everyone, not just those traveling."

"Is everyone okay?" River asked quickly, sounding worried. Silver was actually surprised. She smiled though.

"A few bumps and bruises but yes. We have water walls that redirect most of the flow if needed. But we move everyone into the trees just in case." She said gently and then looked at River "it's nice that you ask though..."

River blushed and glanced away. She was a bit surprised at how concerned she'd been but... she was. She felt like these people deserved just as much concern as her own. She bit her lip and she said softly "do you have... anything we could wear?"

Silver smiled "of course. Though I hope you don't mind..." she turned and picked up a beautiful folded white gown and held it out to River "it's not silk..." she teased. River's eyes lit up as she took it gently and looked it over.

"It's beautiful!... thank you so much!" she gasped softly as she felt how soft the fur lining was. It truly was stunning. It had been marked with blue feathers and beads with a butterfly on the back. She slipped it on carefully and then stood up, looking it over on herself. It fit rather nicely too.

"It really does look lovely" Iris said with a smile. Silver turned and grabbed a couple of rather nice wraps for her as well and grinned.

"Sorry sweetie, you have to show a little more fur. I need to keep an eye on your wounds." Silver said with a wink. Iris blushed but she slipped the wraps on and then stood up, touching her stomach and arms. She felt so... naked. She bit her lip but she slid her greaves onto her forearms along with her belt and blade and at least felt a little bit better. "You two can take all the time you need to rest. You don't have to rush anything."

"I... I would like to thank Feugen" River said quietly "he saved our lives and I sort of... screamed at him."

Silver chuckled and said "I can take you to him if you'd like." River nodded and Iris smiled and then turned, leading them both out onto the platform. River immediately grabbed Iris' arm, having not realized just how high up they were. Down below she could see more debris and a destroyed hut but many villagers were already working together to rebuild it. It was nice seeing people actually coming together to help those in need.

Silver lead them down some of the bridges to a spiral staircase around one of the trees to get to the ground. Once there River felt a bit more relaxed as they followed her to the meeting hut. Feugen was inside helping a few people who had a few bumps and bruises from the storm. The hut had been converted into an infirmary of sorts for the time being. Silver cleared her throat as she stepped in and Feugen turned. He blinked but he smiled and said "Glad to see you up and about."

Silver hesitated and then nudged Iris and said gently "would you mind helping me with a few things?"

Iris blinked and glanced at River who smiled gently "I think they've proven we're safe here..." Iris blushed but she glanced at Feugen and gave him a glare before following Silver off back outside and towards another hut. River turned back to Feugen and smiled warmly "thank you... for what you did. I... I can't imagine..." she winced some and shook her head. She didn't want to think about what would've happened if he hadn't shown up.

"I'm just glad you're alright..." he replied quietly "I'm sorry you lost all of your things. The storm caught everyone off guard."

"How... How did you find us?..." River asked again, stepping closer.

Feugen hesitated and then turned and slipped out the back of the hut, motioning for her to follow. He started up a path further up the mountain and glanced back and then said quietly "do you know of the stories of these lands? Of what still lingers here?"

"You mean magic?" River asked "yea we've heard the stories since we were little kids."

"Yes" Feugen replied "well... they aren't just stories. These lands... they do have magic. And every now and then, some of us can still speak with it."

River blinked and she arched a brow "are you trying to tell me that you can use magic?"

"Me? No" Feugen chuckled "but..." he glanced back towards the village.

River followed his gaze and then blinked "Silver?..." she asked softly. Feugen just smiled and kept on walking. She blinked some in surprise and tried to process it.

"Don't think too much on it" Feugen said "the magic just whispers to her sometimes. Just... think of it like being very lucky thanks to her."

"Good enough for me" River chuckled softly "I... I'll be honest. I thought you were something that was going to eat us at first." Feugen paused and actually looked at her a little surprised. "I'm sorry!" she giggled softly "we've never seen anyone who can fly before so it... I thought you were just a dragon or something..."

Feugen chuckled and said "No not me. My ancestors."

River blinked and looked at him "wait you mean..." Feugen nodded. River shook her head "you can't be. You're... you're really part... dragon?"

Feugen nodded again and said "the royal bloodline of the tribe is that of dragons. Carried on for generation after generation. One trait or another retains itself in the bloodline. I was blessed with... well... a rather useful one."

"I'll say..." River whispered, looking back at his wings again "what's it like?... to fly I mean." Feugen paused again and looked at her. She blinked as he slowly smiled and it shifted to a rather wicked grin. "What are you..." she started to say and then it donned on her "no... Feugen... no... don't you dare!" But it was too late. He grabbed her around the waist and spun her so her back was to him. She tried to push at his arms but they weren't budging. Gods above and below he was so strong! "Feugen let go of MEEE!!!!" her final word ended in a squeal as he took off into the skies, taking her with him. This time she was far more alert then last night. And far more aware of just how terrified she was. The ground below seemed to just... fall away as they soared higher and higher.

"don'tdropmedon'tdropmedon'tdropmeDON'TDROPME!" she screamed over the rush of the wind past her poor ears. She folded them back as hard as she could and then finally... it slowed. He snapped his wings open and shifted slowly until he found a thermal and then... they just hovered. The hot air pushed them upwards just enough to offset their weight... and he just hovered there with her, like they were floating.

"Open your eyes..." he said softly to her. She hesitated but finally peeked one eye open and then the other and they widened to the size of dinner plates. She was in absolute awe. She could see the peak of the mountain... and all the way out to the Kingdom. She could see the neighboring Kingdoms, the trade routes, the great river. She felt like she could see the whole world. And she never realized... just how big it was. Her world had always felt so small and yet she'd still felt small and lonely in it. It was like opening her eyes for the first time to see the world.

"This is amazing..." she whispered softly "I... I never knew there was so... much."

Feugen smiled and said softly "this is what it feels like."

River blushed and glanced back at him, being careful not to twist too much or too fast "thank you for sharing this with me... it's beautiful" she said softly with a smile. Feugen nodded and then folded his wings just a little and they started to descend again. He didn't want to scare her... again... so he descended slowly and then landed right back on the same mountain path. When he set her down though her poor knees wobbled some and she almost lost her balance. He grabbed her by reflex, pulling her in close. "Easy!" he said quickly. He blinked as he looked at her. She felt so small... like a child but she wasn't. She was smart... grown... rather beautiful...

"I... I'm okay..." River squeaked softly, starting to blush. She could smell him again... that amazing scent.

"That's good..." he said quietly. She flushed some and looked down at his arms, still encircled around her waist.

"Y... You can let go of me now..." she said quietly, trying not to be rude. He blinked and dropped his arms away. "Should... we head back?..." she asked with a small smile.

"Sure" he said and turned to head back. River took one step and bumped her foot against something. She blinked and looked down and saw a chunk of Obsidian in the dirt. It looked like it had fallen. She looked up and saw a cliff ledge just above the path. With a quick glance towards Feugen she scrambled up the cliff and peered over it and her eyes widened. There was a cave into the mountain... and inside the Obsidian was forming in massive pillars from the walls and floor. There was so much of it... she dropped back down and hurried to catch up with Feugen. Maybe... just maybe... she could still negotiate a deal that would make everyone happy.

Silver lead Iris into a small but cozy hut away from the others. It wasn't damaged by the storm and Iris had to admit the bed of furs looked rather comfy. Silver turned to face her with a warm smile. Iris hesitated and then started to blush, lifting her arms to cover herself a little bit and glancing away. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked after a moment.

"Because you're beautiful..." Silver said gently, stepping closer "is there something wrong with the way I look at you?"

"No... Yes... I don't know" Iris replied "you make me feel..."

"Small?" Silver whispered, stepping even closer. Iris glanced at her and then looked away again but nodded. Silver smiled gently and said "you can feel it though can't you?... the connection?"

"What do you mean? What connection?" Iris asked, looking back at her confused.

"This..." Silver whispered, reaching up to dip her hand into the top of Iris' breastwrap.

"Hey!" Iris yelped and slapped her hand away "Look just because you manhandled me once doesn't mean I like it all the time!"

Silver giggled and said "I'm not trying to manhandle you... I just meant... this..." She reached up again but this time just with one finger, tugging the other wolfess' breastwrap down just enough to reveal the amber pentagram mark atop her right breast. Iris blinked but quickly covered it back up.

"So? What about it?... it doesn't mean anything" she muttered.

"Sure it does, it means you're like me" Silver said with a smile. She turned and lifted her long silky hair up off the back of her neck. It was hard to see, but as Iris looked closely she saw it shimmer in her snowy white fur. A pentagram mark in a silvery shade a bit darker then her natural fur. Silver dropped her hair and turned back to her with a smile but it faded some "you don't... know what it means do you?"

Iris shook her head and said "I'm already a freak enough as it is... I've embraced that and River has treated me well despite it. But I just figured... it was part of it."

Silver wince and touched her cheek "you're not a freak, you're special... very special." She smiled and leaned in slowly to kiss her again but Iris pulled back suddenly.

"Stop it" she said softly.

"Stop what?" Silver asked.

"Stop trying to kiss me. Stop... being so... unbearably sure of yourself. It's weird. Nobody has ever wanted me like this." She said quietly.

Silver blushed but she smiled and whispered softly under her ear "if you want to be in control that's fine..." She planted a peck on her neck, followed by a playful nip "but I won't make it easy for you."

Iris glanced down at her and saw the silver wolfess' eyes flash with the challenge. It sparked something in her and she suddenly pushed her back towards the bed. Silver was completely taken by surprise. She had expected the attempt, but not the strength behind it. A moment later she was on her back on her bed of furs, trying to push herself up but Iris jumped on top of her and immediately grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head. Their mouths met even as Silver struggled, not trying to escape but trying to gain the upper hand. Iris kissed her with a dominant fever, invading her maw with her long amber tongue and refusing to give up her newly claimed territory. She managed to get a hold of both of her wrists in one hand and held them firm as she yanked her own breastwrap off first, using it to bind her victim's wrists to a post above the bed. Silver's heart fluttered in her chest in a mix of fear and excitement. She had expected Iris to be aggressive, but not so strong... nor so efficient. Being surprised was a rather nice turn of events.

With her hands now both freed Iris immediately yanked Silver's breastwrap free next, freeing her own breasts. Her hands immediately closed over them as she moaned into the wolfess' maw, pulling back just enough to bite at her lip and draw just a drop of blood. She looked down at her, panting heavily with her heart pounding in her chest, her breathe washing over that perfect silvery chest. She was so torn between wanting to love her and dominate her... even to the point of hurting her... She shifted suddenly up the wolfess body, still gazing down at her, and yanked her waistwrap off, exposing the full length of her thick, throbbing amber shaft. It was already drooling with desire as she let it drip onto the silver female's cheeks. Iris panted through her nose but Silver kept her maw firmly shut, still challenging her.

"Fine..." Iris growled softly. She grabbed the wolfess jaw and pulled her maw open. Silver actually took a playful snap at her hand but Iris instead fed her cock into her maw with a soft growl. Silver whimpered at first but stopped protesting and started lapping along the length of that beautiful amber flesh. Iris shuddered and reached down, gripping onto her captive's head as she slowly rocked her hips back and forth, feeding her more and more of her shaft until it was easing into her throat. "That's right..." she growled softly, losing herself in the moment "you're not... the only one who can be in charge..."

Silver's cheeks flushed and she closed her eyes, embarrassed to look at the wolfess. She squirmed as she lay there, helpless to stop her. The more embarrassing part was, she didn't want to. It had been a long time since anyone had made her feel this way and she was actually enjoying it. The feel of the other female's hand on her head, guiding her where she wanted. That thick shaft invading her maw and spreading open her throat, threatening to choke her. Even the way the wrap around her wrists tugged and pulled at her skin and fur, the helplessness of it all... she enjoyed it. Her thighs rubbed together endlessly to try and relieve herself of the need building between them but it didn't take long for Iris to notice.

Silver's eyes suddenly snapped open with a soft muffled yelp as she felt Iris' fingers dive between her thighs and plunge firmly into her drooling honey pot. "Look at me!" growled the wolfess. Silver immediately looked up at her, her cheeks flushing deeper as she moaned around the cock stuffing her maw. Iris' fingertips curled and began assaulting the perfect spot within her victim's sweet tight tunnel as she humped against her muzzle again and again. "Keep those eyes on me..." she commanded. Silver shuddered and whimpered with the embarrassment of it all... but she obeyed, looking right at the other female as she made use of her maw. Already she could feel her pleasure rising higher and higher with every pass of those damnable fingers! This woman certainly knew how to play her pleasure spots just as well as she had the day they met. Now she was getting back what she gave and then some.

Silver didn't want to be the first to climax so she began swallowing more and more around the wolfess' length as it invaded her throat. Her tongue worked furiously to stimulate her as much as possible, pressing against and flicking across that tender spot just beneath the crown along the underside of her length. Iris could feel what she was doing and her breathe hitched with every pass of that tongue. It was becoming too much to handle so she suddenly yanked her hips back and pulled free of that incredible mouth. Silver blushed but she leaned forward and gave her tip one last teasing lick to try and send her over the edge, but Iris managed to maintain herself. She panted heavily and drew her fingers free of Silver's sweet cunny nice and slow, being sure to trail her fingertips up over that now sensitive pearl before she whispered softly "roll over... now... " She climbed up off of the wolfess and waited for her to obey. Silver trembled some but wasn't about to question her new captor right now. She shifted first to her side and then over onto her knees, looking back over her shoulder at Iris and lifting her tail up out of the way. Her sweet nectar was flowing freely now, drooling out of her quivering cunny as she looked back at her.

"Please..." Silver whispered softly "I'll be good... I promise..." Iris smiled and slowly approached behind her, taking up the proper position.

"I know you will..." she whispered, running her hands up along her thighs and over the beautiful curve of her rump before finally settling on her hips. Iris whimpered sharply, wiggling her hips back to try and catch that shaft. She hadn't been bred in this position in so many years, she was desperate. She threw her shame and pride to the winds and just demanded to get what her body craved. And Iris was happy to oblige. The moment her tip caught on the tight offered entrance before her Iris slammed the full length of her cock as deep as she could into the wolfess. Silver cried out and shuddered some as she felt suddenly so incredibly full. When Iris drew out she whined, pushing back and trying to keep her inside before she was slammed full again. Iris wasted no time in building into a steady rhythm of pounding that sweet little cunt into a wet squelching, drooling mess.

Every slap of her hips against that gorgeous tight rump was music to her ears. Every slam of her cock into that hot heavenly valley was better then anything she'd ever had before. Silver was a whimpering writhing mess beneath her. She was pulling so hard at the bindings on her wrists they were turning red from rubbing against the fur hide. Even Iris' claws were leaving marks on her hips as she hauled the wolfess' body back into her own with every thrust to ensure it had the strongest impact possible. It was like she was trying to fuck her open deeper and deeper with every pound of her hips. She was unrelenting, and it was becoming too much.

"I... Iris!" Silver cried out softly "P... Please I... I'm gonna... AHHH!" she screamed out and bit down on her furs to stop from being too loud as she came. Her cunny clamped down hard on the wolfess' pounding shaft, squeezing it and milking it desperately. She wanted to be filled, wanted to be claimed. And a moment later she was.... She felt that thick swelling knot force it's way inside of her and explode in size, locking Iris in place. The wolfess hips worked and ground around in erratic bliss as she unloaded spurt after spurt into the female below her.

The pair collapsed into a sweaty sticky mess after several moments of sheer undeniable bliss. Iris remained locked securely inside Silver's wonderful cunny but she panted heavily as she lay on her side against her captive's back. Silver shook with each breathe, completely exhausted by the force of her climax. Iris slowly reached up and unbound her wrists before leaning over her shoulder and kissing them tenderly, trying to ease the soreness that had built up.

"It's okay..." Silver whispered, closing her eyes and basking in the afterglow "it's been... a long time since I've felt controlled like that..." She looked back over her shoulder after a few moments and blinked some in surprise finding Iris looking away. "What's wrong?... didn't you enjoy it?"

"I did but..." she looked back at her "wh... what is this?... what are we?" Her ears drew back and she bit her lip. "We're so different I... I don't..." she started to say "I don't want to be hurt..."

Silver's ears lowered and she nestled a little further back against her dark-furred counterpart. She was quiet for a long moment and then said "for now?... just try to enjoy yourself..."

"What does that mean?" Iris asked "Why... why do you do that? Why do you talk in riddles like that?"

"Because I have to" Silver said softly "I can't change things. It never works." She looked back at her and said sadly "no matter how much I wish I could... I can't..."

"What things?..." Iris asked "Why can't you tell me?..." she bit her lip some and whispered "don't you trust me?"

Silver blinked but she smiled and kissed her gently "of course I do. I just..."

"Then what is it?..." she asked suddenly "I like you... a lot. But we live so far apart and I'm sworn to protect River. If... if there's a way for us to be together then I want to know! No one makes me feel so... okay with myself like you do."

Silver blinked and just stared at her. She was quiet for a long moment, just staring off out the window as the breeze fluttered her curtains. Finally she whispered so softly Iris had to strain to hear "one of us will die... Me... you... River... or Feugen... Not all of us can survive the next year. I keep listening, keep praying and listening and hoping that I hear something different. But everything the magic tells me says that we cannot all survive." She looked back at Iris with a sadness in her eyes "and I can't stop it..."

Iris just stared at her confused and opened her maw but Silver turned and suddenly touched the pentagram on her chest. Her amber eyes began to glow as she saw what Silver showed her. The flashes, the images... the blood... she gasped softly and a sob escaped her, tears welling in her eyes. She looked at Silver and breathed out "No... Please no..."

Silver shook her head "you can't tell them. They won't understand and it could make things even worse. Promise me?..." Iris nodded after a moment and Silver slowly eased herself free and turned to face her, pulling the other female against her chest as she cried softly. "It's okay... we have time. I don't... want to dwell on what may come to pass. I just want to enjoy my time with you." Iris slowly looked up at her and Silver smiled, kissing her tenderly.

"But what about the b*" she started to ask.

"Don't..." Silver replied "don't think on it... don't dwell on it... you can't change things. What will come to pass will come to pass... I can't see it clearly because... well it may be my end. But magic is funny that way. When magic paths cross... it's sometimes hard to see how they end."

Iris blinked and looked at her and then said "So... you didn't see this coming then?"

"See what?" Silver asked, tilting her head. She yelped and giggled as Iris rolled on top of her and attacked her cheek and neck with kisses and nibbles.
