The first part of a multipart story. My first try at this too.

Part 1:

Myth sighed again for what had to have been the 50th time in the last hour. Her mother was a crazy feline. She could not believe that woman would take her away from her learning and plop her in the middle of nowhere. Who was she kidding? She could completely believe her mother did this. She was a Goddess after all. She did not care for other people's opinions on how she lived her life, or how she forced others to live theirs. Not even her daughters apparently.

A month ago Myth had finally been able to contact Anubis. She convinced him to teach her the plant and minerals needed for embalming. Myth, you see, had always had a deep connection to the plants and minerals of the earth. She studied for years in healing salves, potions, perfumes and a myriad of other items. One day she had been studying away with Anubis when she had a vision that left her feeling sick. Her visions had always been dead on. So Myth packed her items and thanked Anubis for his help. Then from one heart beat to the next her body was being pulled through the Duat to her mothers temple.

Her mother stood in front of her 8 feet tall in full god form. "Daughter, it is finally time for you to serve me with purpose like your sisters." her mother's tail swished hotly "There is a new God in the desert to the east. they are very powerful and I want to send you as a gift to them. Serve their city well." She waved her hand, and once again Myth was thrown through the Duat. landing on her bum in the middle of the desert.

Now she was walking to the newly formed town in the distance. Sent to meet this God and become some kind of representative or slave for her mother. Myth had spent the first hour of her journey wondering why her mother had sent her as a "gift". She quickly come to the conclusion that her mother, the possessive cat that she was; had the feeling for Anubis still. They had , had a thing in her mother's younger years but it was quickly stopped by the other gods. Bastet had used this opportunity to separate her daughter from the Jackal headed god. Not that Myth had done anything with the man, not that she didn't want to. The attraction must run in the family.

Myth starred up at the large ornate gates. They stood decorated with hieroglyphs. In the middle a image of a god that looked very much like dog with very large ears. The word Theaset stood out to her, she wondered if that was the name of the town or the god. She looked around for a guard or something to let her in but there was no one so she let herself in. The town seems to have quite a few people living in it of all different species and backgrounds. She marveled at the contraction of the city. It seemed to be like a inverted dome with the streets and houses spiraling down to the temple. It was beautiful and quaint.

As she opens the temple doors she was greeted by a large room of water and floating plants. the water seemed to glow to light the shadowed room. She pushed through another set of doors. Inside there was a large bathing area with more of the glowing water and various fountains. Off the the right of the entrance sat a great table with various foods and two the right wooden tables for laying on. The room was somewhat empty except for a older Goat. The Ibex was actually quite handsome. He keep his fur short with dyed on tattoos that looped around his body. He wore a large golden embellished necklace as well as matching armbands and thigh bands. Connected to this necklace were two ornate chains that seemed to rap about his body. Myth's eyes followed the chains down to there stopping point. She gasped, there at the end was a golden cuff fitting around the Ibex's rather large cock. He was quite a sight and she found herself staring

She caught herself and coughed awkwardly 'Hello, Sir could you help me"

The Ibex looked up at her with eyes as gold as the jewelry he was wearing. "Hello madam how may the Emissary of Theaset serve your needs or pleasures"

Myth found herself blushing and stumbling over her words. "Oh no sir I have been sent by my mother the Goddess Bastet as a token of greeting and piece. I am here to serve the will of the God the his people" she bowed "please except Bastet humble gift"

The Ibex seemed to struggle with what to say for a second. "I will let know Theaset of their gift. They should be quite pleased, fallow me dear." he waved his hand and lead her to the statue of a large dog like creature once again with ears far to large for its head. The most curious thing about the statue was that fact that it seemed masculine and yet feminine at the same time. She wondered if her mother had miss identified this Theaset as a God maybe perhaps it was a Goddess. The Ibex must have seen the curiosity on her face. "Theaset calls themself the parent of the fennec fox." suddenly the statue seemed to come to life at its full God size around 7'5 feet.

The first thing Myth noticed is that Theaset was a shorter then her mother and the other gods. The second thing was how even in real life the god seemed to shift with every blink from one gender to the next. As if gender was just fluid to them. Now she understood The emissaries odd way of speaking. This god was both, as if at any time they could choose the gender they wanted to be in that moment.

A musical voice spoke from the beautiful Gods lips. "Aw dear Emissary Ennead what have you bought me today"

The Ibex bowed and replied. "This woman claims to be the daughter of Bastet who has been sent as a living gift you my magic one"

The fennec God nodded eyeing Myth up and down, "and what a lovely gift indeed. Tell me feline what can you offer me and my people"

Myth stumbled "I am a great healer My lo-la-ll-liege i have studied plants and minerals my whole life"

Theaset nodded "Ennead here is already a Apothecary for our town, what else do you offer"

She was stumped. "Well I can help him if he would like my assistance. I have minor prophetic abilities but they aren't much." she paused beginning to panic she kneeled. "I can only offer everything i am body and soul and hope that i will be useful for that is my mother's wish."

The god moved circling her body, gently touching her ears and speaking softly "And you cat....what do you wish"

Myth looked up shocked not once had anyone asked her that "I wish to learn more"

The god only nodded "Then you shall" the God turned to the Emissary "Ennead could you use help in your shop from this lady"

The goat smiled a nodded. "I would love some help around the shop" the fox nodded once turning around "So be it" and disappeared

"Well that was certainly exciting" Ennead spoke "well then I guess I should show you to my guest room then"

Myth could only nod still trying to rap her mind around what exactly transpired. She followed the Ibex to a small shop one level up from the temple grounds. The shop smelled of cinnamon and cedar oil. it was small cozy and very inviting. The room she was given had a small bed in it and it would do fine.

"We can build you some other furniture later." Ennead said looking around the room. "Why don't you get some rest you look tired form your journey, we will start work in the morning."

Myth laid down. She was quite tired, and as her eyes closed her mind danced with all the adventures she would have here. Including some lewder ones involving her new roommate and teacher. She fell asleep with a smile on her face knowing that was a story for another day
