Gangsters Season 1: Hunted by a Dragon: Chapter 1 Cody Dixon's story
#1 of Gangsters Book 1: Hunted by a Dragon
This is another story series I had in my mind for a long time because I love stories that have mythical creatures and anthros in the modern times. Of course, this story is happening in America during the Prohibition era one of my favourite times in history.
This chapter will be telling the story of our main protagonist before he became a Gangster and also his success as a Gangster, it will be a short chapter but the next one will be longer (hopefully)
Also, I'll be using some 20s gangster slang in this series but I'll put the definition in brackets.
And if you see any grammar mistakes, please let me know and feel free to help me in the future.
This is Cody Dixon, he's the kind of guy that if you looked at him on the streets of Chicago you would think that he's just a normal person, but no, his life is far more complex then that. He's a Gangster, a gambler, smuggler, robber, pretty much everything that a mother doesn't want their child being. Cody grew up in England, his childhood wasn't a nice one, his farther was a raging alcoholic who would regularly beat him and his mom until one day his mother had enough and Cody and his mother packed up and left for America to find a better life there and lived in a small apartment in Chicago. When Cody was 18 WW1 broke out and he sailed back to England to join up, of course his mother wasn't happy about it but he promised he would come back, throughout the war he made friends and lost friends except one who's name was Neil Dawson he was an anthro Raccoon who reached up to Cody's waist in height and was American. After the war ended in 1918, Cody and Neil both were awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery and honour and Cody and Neil went back to America. They both struggled to find work so they went into the crime business and when Prohibition happened it was the golden age for these two as they soon became rich and made friends on the way who were Franky Riddle and Jarvis Page. Franky was an anthro Cheater who was the fastest Cheater in America or so he claims. Jarvis was an anthro Bull and was the muscle of the group, he was built like a tank and could carry up to 6 thousand pounds worth of money. They soon became known as the Swifter's by how fast they could operate and became the ultimate Gang of the century and criminal legends, among other things. But they soon found out that with all that fame they became America's 'Most Wanted' so they broke up the gang and went their separate ways in 21st of March 1924. Cody did his own thing gambled, did a few jobs some which were with Al Capone, but on the 15th of October 1926 Cody Dixon will make a big mistake that will have drastic consequences that will have him using all his skills to fight for survival.
